Chapter 5: Gretchen's Ideal Lover is an Elephant?!

"Now then, time to type in their names to see who is most likely their love match." Edward said.

"I hope the wheel lands on what I expected." Said Atlas.

"You'll have to wait and see." Said Lefty.

"Okay, guys come closer so that you can see the matchmaker's results." Edward said as Lefty and Atlas moved closer towards him. "Alright, now let's continue the matchmaker game starting with Team Supernaturals. Going up first is Gretchen Gritcherson as the starting member of the team." Edward types in Gretchen's name and the image loads and shows the head of a light-skinned girl with black hair tied in red pigtails. He presses the 'spin the wheel' button, and the wheel rapidly spins until it slowly lands and stops. The wheel landed on an image showing the head of a blue elephant wearing a cap. This made the trio burst in hard laughter.

"Oh, wow! Gretchen's love match is Stompy the Elephant, one of Kai-Lan's animal friends on her show. Yo, that is so funny." Lefty said. Rye then came downstairs to see what's going on.

"What are you guys laughing at? He asked. Lefty comes towards Rye's direction and whispers in his ear.

"WHAT?!" Rye yelled surprisingly. "Gretchen's love match is Stompy the Elephant? Man, that is so funny!"

"It is. But then again, it makes 100% sense that her love match is an elephant. Contrary to what people stated about her and her cabinmate McGee, Gretchen has never shown romantic interest in him at all throughout her time in the show. She mostly sees McGee as a friend and brother rather than a potential boyfriend, and at times she can act oblivious and indifferent towards McGee if he becomes affectionate towards her. The same goes for the other guys who either showed or are implied to have a thing for Gretchen. For an elephant to be Gretchen's ideal love match, I find it reminiscent of an episode of Jerry Springer where a man marries a horse." Edward said.

"Oh, yeah!" Lefty said while chuckling. "I've heard about that one."

"Us too!" Atlas and Rye said in unison.

"Plus, it takes me back to the episode of Camp Lakebottom where the crazy circus clown returns and the bottom dwellers befriend an elephant named Floppy. Floppy was showing a lot of affection towards Gretchen, and unlike some of the male characters who either showed or may have shown a romantic interest in her, Gretchen returned the affection towards him since she was the one who was most concerned for Floppy out of all the campers of Camp Lakebottom. After Gretchen and her cabinmates McGee and Squirt rescued Floppy from being mind controlled by that clown dude, she was so relieved that Floppy was safe and sound that she started showing affection to him the same way he was showing her, and Gretchen glared at her cabinmates in a tone where it was as if she were to say 'Do you boys mind?' I imagine Stompy showing Gretchen the same type of affection to her just like Floppy." Edward said.

"I bet if Floppy can turn into a human, Gretchen would fall for him with Floppy as a human returning the affection, and they would officially be going out as a couple. The same can apply to Stompy if he was Floppy." Rye said.

"Exactly!" Lefty exclaimed. "No matter if you are human or not, Gretchen would still love either of those two for who they really are."

"That's right, Lefty. No one can discriminate against anyone based on their species." Edward said.

"I do hope Melissa Altro won't be furious if she found that the matchmaker app made Gretchen an ideal love match to an elephant from a different world." Atlas said in a worried tone. "After all, she is Gretchen's voice actor."

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Edward yelled in a surprised tone. "There's no way that Melissa Altro would be pissed about Stompy the Elephant being Gretchen Gritcherson's ideal lover."

"I agree with you, Ed." Lefty said in agreement.

"Instead of being pissed, Melissa Altro would be laughing by now at the results of Gretchen's ideal match, knowing it's way too funny for her to feel anger towards a machine pairing Gretchen and Stompy as an ideal couple." Edward said. "And I'm pretty sure the creators of Gretchen feel the same way as well."

"Yep, Ed. I can see Altro laughing at the results if she found out." Rye said.

"That's right, Rye. No one can ever be mad at a machine for pairing random people as a couple if it is too funny. With that being said, let's continue with the matchmaker game." Said Edward.
