The boy stared at me with his beaming eyes. Like something he has never seen before. He seemed nice and sweet but I didn't let that fool me. I might of took to long to answer because what he said next earn him a hit the head.

"Mommy what is wrong with her why doesn't she talk?" then Poseidon smack him right in head.

"aoww Dad why did you hit me" His face full of confession. I see sally has amused gleam in her eyes and Poseidon had a little smile.

"It's rude to say things in front of people. Perce you should know that."

"Okay, but why did you have to do that right in front of her?" Before sally could respond my phone stared ringing. I look at caller I.D and I saw it was Malcolm. Then i saw my text messages i saw i had 46 from Thalia, I had 56 from Malcolm, and 23 missed calls. Then I saw i had 15 messages from an unknown number. I was ready for any over protective brother to start screaming at me, so pick up the phone.

As soon as I pick up phone I heared my brother screaming at me.

"ANNABETH CHASE WHERE IN HADES ARE YOU, I CAME HOME AND YOU WEREN'T THERE I CALL THALIA TO ASK IF YOU WHERE WITH HER AND YOU AREN'T, MOMS FREAKING OUT WHERE YOU ARE. SHE'S CLOSE OF CALLING THE POLICE AND REPORTING YOU MISSING.

"Malcolm calm down" I look over at sally she had a worried face on. Poseidon look shock. Percy looks curious. I put my phone on mute.

"Sally can I go somewhere private?"

"Of course dear follow me." I got up from my chair and followed her into her living room. Then she left.

"Annabeth why aren't you talking?"

"I am okay Malcolm." I told him how i tried to run away. How sally found me and that she afford me to stay at her house until morning.

"At least you're fine, where are you, I'm coming to pick you up."

"i meet you at the park okay?"

"Fine, but your in trouble when you get home!"

"yea, you're not your parents Malcolm stop trying to be them you deserve to be free from the responsibility of one."

"Annie you know I have to look after you."

"Malcolm you have been there my whole life and I'm thankful for that but, you're a senior last year in high school. I don't know, you need to get friends, get a girlfriend, make memories or you will regret it. I don't need you to hold a responsibility that parents need to hold. Have fun in our life for once Mal before you have to become an adult."

"How did I get a super wise sister?"

"I was just born luck that way"

"I will pick you up in 10 minutes okay?"

"Okay i will be there"

When i came back sally was making another set of pancakes. Sally look up at me with a worry look.

"Is everything okay I heard screaming from the other end of the call?"

"Yes everything find just my over protective worried brother."

"Your brother, not your parents?"

"Their to busy to take after me and my brother so my brother try to fill in their jobs as parents." I didn't relazied i said that until words just can out of my mouth. I had said that in front of everybody. And mostly a kid I didn't know. If you have learned anything when being in school is that kids will use you to get what they want when they have your secret. I grab my bag and strip it on my back.

"Thank you Sally for your hostilities but I must be going."

"Where are you going this early in the morning?"

"I have met with my brother."

"I'll take you it's not a problem"

"No it's find eat with our family."

"Don't be silly darling I take you, let me get my coats and lets go" Sally went up the stairs. I put on my shoes, but I felt that two pair of eyes were looking at me. When I look up i saw the boy looking at me. Then he turned away. While Poseidon wasn't looking I opened the door and ran as fast as I could. The park was 2 blocks away. When i got there I look around for my brother. Then i saw him with his blonde hair and his gray eyes. I ran up and hug him and he hug so tight.

"Don't ever do that to me again okay Annabeth?"

"ok" He let go of me.

"Lets go home Thalia is trying to find you and she might get out of hand."

"Thalia is there lets go"I ran as quickly to the car as quickly as I could. My brother is just below my heel.
