A/N: Set in S03E02.
"You're not wanted," Kendall yells at Connor, and he feels his heart twist in his chest. He knows that Kendall is just lashing out, telling Shiv that only her teats give her any value and Roman that he's a moron, hitting all of his siblings' weak spots. But still, this is his little brother. He held him as a baby. He changed his fucking diapers (well, he was there when the nannies did).
He remembers the day of his mother's funeral, how his father had asked him afterwards Wanna come back and see the others? the closest thing to kindness that Logan was capable of showing his eldest son. When they'd got back to the house, Kendall had immediately ran up and hugged Connor, either because someone had told him to be nice to his brother today or because he could see for himself that Connor needed a hug.
"I love you, Kenny," Connor had said, his arms wrapped tightly around the six-year-old.
"I love you too," said Kendall, adding, "Wanna play video games?"
He'd been so close to siding with Kendall over their father, until the donuts had arrived. Of course Logan knew what his kids were doing. He always knows everything.
"I'm a national figure," he tells Kendall. "It's not right to kill one's father—"
"You're a national fucking prick," Kendall yells back, sounding like Logan. Like a wannabe Logan, but with less power.
Connor may not be wanted by his family, but he does know how to choose the right side when required. Kendall forgets that Logan is Connor's middle name too.
