(Before we begin, I'd like to apologize for the late upload. I had to rework chapter 9 for my Light Within story and got a bit behind. But this allowed me to do a few brush ups for the previous chapter of this story! I didn't change anything big, just a touch up here and there, so you don't need to reread all of them, not like I wouldn't have a problem with that (^_^). I did make 2 changes to Jay's Pokémon though; 1: Princess's name has been changed to Hime. It's shorter and still has the same name but a different language. Not sure why I didn't do that in the beginning. 2: With the reveal of Duraludon having an evolution called Archaludon, Scala's item has been changed from the Assault Vest to Eviolite. Also, depending on the future info about Archaludon, don't expect Scala to evolve.)

Chapter 15: The Cursed Island Part 4

Let it be known; I do not own Fairy Tail nor Pokémon which fully belong to their rightful owners. The only thing I own is my OC and this stories plotline.

-Pokémon speech-

(Last chapter, after Jay had absconded with Gray's beaten body over his shoulder, he met up with Natsu who was trying to find his way back to the village but got lost. Jay was able to break the fire mage out of the ice he was trapped in. They made it in time for Lyon's goons to use they're plan to wipe out the village. That plan being by dropping a large bucket of acid jelly on top of their heads! Natsu was able to blast a hole in the center of the jelly. While the village was still destroyed, the villagers were all saved. They then left and took the still wounded Gray with them as Jay, Natsu, Lucy and Happy stayed behind to deal with the three goons: Yuka, Toby and Sherry. Sherry tried to go after the villagers, but Lucy stopped her giant pet rat Angelica by tickling its feet and causing it to crash in the forest. Happy went to back her up while Jason sent Fang with him. Natsu fought Yuka and Jay handled Toby) "You won't beat us so easily." Yuka said. (…both were quick matches. Afterward, the two split up, Natsu heading back to the temple to stop the Moon Drip ritual and Jay checking on the villagers. When he arrived, Jay sent out all his Pokémon to protect them in case of another attack then took a quick nap. Later, upon being woken up by the red villager who said someone wanted to talk to him. Jay went, already having a feeling on who it was. When Jay entered a tent, he saw he guessed correctly.) "Hello Erza." Jay greeted with a smile. "Jason… We need to talk." Erza said with a hard stare.

(Insert S.O.W. Sense Of Wonder opening here)

(third PoV)

Jason had a feeling Master was going to send someone else when him and Gray didn't come back right away. And since the "lightning brat" wasn't so cooperative at the start, the only one he could send was the women sitting in front of him.

"Had a feeling it was you when the villagers said a female with red hair wearing armor was with Lucy, Happy and Fang." Jay said.

"I've been told about what's happened up to this point." Erza said. "Weren't you and Gray supposed to stop them from coming here?"

"Some new information came to light about this island." Jay said. "Therefore, I decided to come."

He then turned my attention to the tied-up duo of Lucy and Happy.

"Fang told me you won against that loved obsessed girl Sherry, Luc. You also got stronger." Jay complimented. "Nice work."

"Oh! Thanks Jay!" Lucy said with a smile.

"Enough." Erza spoke.

It caused Lucy and Happy to flinch in their spots, but not Jason.

"Where is Natsu and Gray?" Erza didn't ask but demanded.

He gave her a raised eyebrow due to her tone but still answered.

"Gray should still be sleeping here in the camp to recover from his wounds." Jay said. "Natsu however went back to the temple to try and stop the ritual from happening."

"I see." was her response. "After Gray wakes up, we'll go get Natsu and leave the island. I already have a boat waiting for us."

"Oh well, can't be helped." Jay said with a shrug. "You can take the others and go. Me and my Pokémon can handle things from here."

"You misunderstood." Erza said. "All of us are leaving. You included."

The Pokémon trainer stared at the female knight mage.

"You said Lucy told you everything, right?" Jay asked. "What about the villagers? They need help and that demon needs to stay on ice!"

"She doesn't care about them Jay!" Lucy spoke up.

His eyes widened at what she said.

"…Nani?" Jay asked. "Why?"

"My job is to bring rule-breakers back." Erza explained. "Nothing else matters."

"'Nothing else matters?'" Jay repeated. "These are innocent lives Erza!"

"The request has been posted to every guild in the kingdom." she argued as she walked past him. "Would it not be better to leave it to some guild wizards that take on the job properly?"

"Except no one will come Erza!" he snapped. "That request was put up 3 years now! 3 years and we're the first guild to ever come anywhere close to this island! Besides, I'm not here for the quest. I'm here for them! *points outside* The people that need our help! I'm not leaving!"

Erza then glances over her shoulder and glares at Jason.

"What did you say?" she asked.

Erza summons a sword into her hand and points it at him.

"You intend to break the guild rules as well?" Erza asked. "You won't get away with it."

Lucy and Happy can do nothing but watch the two glare at each other.

"So, you'll abandon these people to their unjust fate because you say who cares?" Jay asked her.

"That's right." Erza confirmed. "It might not seem fair, but that is my choice on the matter."

"…Bullshit…" Jay growled.

"Wha-?" Erza was about to ask but stopped.

She, Lucy and Happy were taken aback as they saw Jason's energy started to surround his body due to his anger.

"Can you even begin to imagine what these people have gone through?" Jay asked. "How much they've begged and prayed to whatever Deity would listen to them for help? How many of their friends and family they've had to kill? You said you don't care since it's not anyone you care about, right? Well imagine it was people you cared about!"

He yelled the last line while smacking her sword away. This caught her off guard as Jay got in her face.

"What if it was people you cared about! All of you suffering, hoping, prying for someone to save you!" Jay shouted. "But when someone with the power to help you finally appears they say "nope, I don't know any of you so not my problem", and leaves!"

As he was saying this, images were going through Erza's head. Pictures of kids and a tower. She snapped out of it when Jason walked past her, turning her head to watch him. Jay stops right before the tent flaps.

"Let me tell you something Erza, since you weren't at the guild when I said it." Jay said without facing her. "In my eyes those that use their power to hurt or abuse people are scum, but…"

He then looked over his shoulder at her.

"…those with power that refuse to help people are worse than scum." Jay finished.

After saying his piece, Jason exited the tent to meet his team, leaving a shocked Erza behind.

(Jay's PoV)

"I can't believe her!" I growled under my breath. "Leaving all these people to suffer. Maybe I was wrong about Fairy Tail."

I stop and take a breath.

"No, that's not fair to the rest just because of her." I scolded myself. "Natsu being an example."

My mind played a flashback during our first team up to find Macao, where we were fighting the mountain Vulcan and how Natsu said he wouldn't hesitate to throw hands to help me even though we just met. I continue to my team, who are waiting for me. The first one to notice me is Tone.

"Here he comes now." Tone said.

Everyone turns towards me.

"Hey! You okay J-man?" Striker asked.

"We felt your anger rising." Scarlet said worried. "Kyra and Hime wanted to go see what was wrong, but we kept them here."

"I'm fine, thank you everyone." I said with a smile. "Erza just said something that ticked me off is all."

"Fang did tell us that she was here." Arc said.

"What did she say?" Scala asked.

"That she plans on taking us and leaving the island, as well as the villagers to their fate." I whispered to them so none of the villagers could overhear me. "And won't stop Deliora from being revived."

"She what?!" Angel gasped.

"Why that red-haired bitch!" Tempest growled.

"What's the plan?" Striker asked.

"Me, Striker, Scala, Herb, and Silver are going to help Natsu at the temple." I explained. "The rest will stay here and keep the villagers safe from anymore harm."

My Pokémon nodded their heads.

"Kyra in in charge until we get back, understood?" I asked.

"Understood." The one's staying behind said.

"Good." I said. "Let's go!"

I returned the four and made my way out of the camp and towards the temple. It took an hour to find the place due to the thing being farther than the village. When I arrived, the sun was rising in the sky.

'Alright, finally here.' I thought. 'Now just need to-'

"*yawn*Shoot…" a familiar voice said tiredly. "I had a good idea, and then I overslept."

I look over to my left to see…

"Natsu?" I asked.

"Huh? Jay?" Natsu asked when he looked at me upon hearing his name. "What are you doing here?"

"I told you yesterday I'd come help you after I was done with the villagers." I answered. "What are you doing out here? I though you'd be causing mayhem inside the temple already."

"I was gonna." Natsu explained. "I wanted to take a nap first but overslept."

"I see." I said with a sweatdrop.

"So everyone's alright?" he asked.

"Yup." I responded. "They set themselves up using a storage area they had. I've got my team looking out for them, while I brought Striker, Scala, Herb and Silver with me."

"Awesome!" Natsu said excitedly. "Now we can really kick some butt!"

"Yeah, but we're on the clock." I said.

"What do'ya mean?" Natsu asked.

"Erza." I simply answered.

"Erza…?" Natsu asked before his eye's widened. "Wait you mean she's here?!"

"That's right." I answered with a nod. "And once Gray wakes up, they're coming here to get us."

"Then we better hurry." Natsu said.

"Do you remember your plan?" I asked him.

"You betcha!" Natsu said with a grin. "Let's start!"

And with that, we ran straight into the temple to start Natsu's plan. I wonder how things are going back at the camp.

(third PoV)

(Village camp)

Half an hour after Jay left the camp, Gray woke up. He exited the tent he was in and spoke to a female villager, who told him about everything that's happened up to that point and that someone was wanting to talk to him in a tent across from them. When Gray entered the tent, he came face to face with an angry Erza Scarlet. Their conversation went more or less the same as hers and Jason's. Gray was ticked off at Erza for wanting to abandon the villagers and not do anything to stop Lyon from freeing Delidora.

"I misjudged you, Erza!" Gray snapped.

"You dare say that to the great Erza!" Happy yelled.

"'The great?'" Lucy asked.

Just like with Jay, Erza pointed her sword at Gray.

"Just like with Jason, you plan on breaking the guild rules?" Erza demanded.

However, instead of being intimidated by her, Gray grabbed the blade and pointed it at his guild mark. He glared at Erza.

"Do what you must!" Gray said.

Lucy and Happy were surprised at that.

"This is the path I've chosen." Gray said. "It's something I've got to do. Even Jay knows this! That's why he came to this island in the first place, even if he knew it was against the rules. All because his old man told him to always help those that need it."

After holding the blade up for a few moments longer, Erza lowers it for Gray to leave. Just like Jason, Gray stops to say some final words.

"I'm going to finish this." Gray said. "If you're going to cut me down, do it."

When Gray exited the tent, Erza was beyond pissed.

'First Jason and now Gray.' Erza thought.

She then turned towards Lucy and Happy while raising her sword.

"Hey, Erza calm down!" Lucy begged.

"Gray's just angry 'cause he lost to his old friend!" Happy exclaimed.

Erza swung her blade and cut the ropes binding the two.

"The present situation is unacceptable." Erza said. "So we'll continue this after the present problem is solved."

"Erza!" both cheered.

"Don't get the wrong idea." Erza said. "You will be punished."

"Aye…" they responded.

(Temple of the Moon)

While all this was happening, Lyon was getting an update from his subordinates… or rather subordinate.

"How pitiful." Lyon said. "You're the only one left, Toby?"

All Toby could do was whine.

"Damn you, Fairy Tail… Not bad." The Emperor cursed but couldn't help compliment his enemies.

"Can we please keep quiet about me paralyzing myself a secret, okay?" Toby asked.

"Deliora's resurrection may be in danger at this rate." an unknown voice spoke up.

"So you're here, Zalty…" Lyon said.

Zalty was a short man with a red tribal mask that covered the top half of his face and green hair.

"Deliora will be resurrected when we pour in the full magical power of the moon tonight." Zalty said. "However, if the Moon Drip ceremony is interrupted again, Deliora will stay in that ice forever… And what's more, Titania has joined the enemy forces."

Zalty was there when Erza found Lucy after said blond beat Sherry.

"Your intelligence is fast, as always." Lyon complimented. "But I cannot be defeated. Nothing defeats the ice sword that surpasses even Ur's… especially when I have this in my possession." *holds up the Icicle Plate* 'But why was it glowing earlier? Could it have been resonating with that wizard Gray called Jay?'

"That is quite heartening to hear, yes…" Zalty said. 'Though it is a shame that I couldn't find any information about that item.' "Then, it's been a while, but perhaps I should join in the battle myself…"

"Wait, you used to be able to fight?!" Toby exclaimed.

"Yes." Zalty answered. "I know a bit of Lost Magic, you see…"

"What an ominous fellow." Lyon commented.

Before more could be said, the room started shaking.

"An earthquake?!" Toby asked.

Soon after everything began to sway left and right!

"This is…" the Sub-Zero Emperor started to say.

"The ruins are collapsing!" Topy freaked out.

However, it was not an earthquake causing the ruins to shake, but our group of hero's enacting Natsu's plan. That being to destroy the pillars supporting the temple, at least the pillars on one side of the temple. Natsu, Jay and Silver punched the pillars, where's Striker kicked them, Scala ramming through them and Herb melting them with his poison. The result was the temple was now at a tilt. After they had finished Natsu blasted the ceiling, accidently making a path to Lyon's throne room.

"What the heck is this?" Lyon demanded.

Toby whined in confusion while Zalty looked down the hole, seeing Natsu.

"He didn't waste any time…" Zalty commented. "Look, he's down below."

Both Lyon and Toby step closer to look down the hole and see Natsu at the bottom. Upon seeing them, Natsu started to laugh.

"I'd rather destroy it before you found me out," Natsu said. "but these ruins are a lot harder to bring down than I thought."

"Told you we should've gone floor by floor." Jay said as he stepped beside the fire mage. "Hey Lyon! Been keeping my Plate safe?"

'His Plate?' Zalty thought. 'Does Jason know what these items are?'

"What are you trying to do?" Lyon demanded.

"Tip the building over!" Natsu answered instantly.

"That way the moonlight can't shine on the demon ice cube below us!" Jay explained.

"You bastards! How dare you?" Lyon growled. "Curse you, Fairy Tail!"

"I dunno… I don't get what's going on at all…" Toby said. (The dogman is confused)

"They're trying to tilt these ruins." Zalty explained. "By destroying half of the pillars holding up the base of the ruins, they can tilt the building so that the light of the moon will not hit Deliora. That's their plan, I believe. I wonder which one thought of it."

"Enough blabbing!" Natsu yelled as fire erupted from his feet.

"Flames on his legs?" Lyon asked in surprise.

"He can produce flames from all over his body!" Toby said.

Natsu launched himself and slammed headfirst into Lyon's stomach but turned out to be an ice clone. Lyon counterattacked by sending eagles at him, but Natsu blasted fire out of his mouth to push himself towards the ground to dodge. Back down the hole with Jay and his Pokémon, said Trainer was giving his team orders.

"I'll go help Natsu." he said. "You four, go knock out all the cult members. Just in case something happens, and the temple is straightened out again."

"Got it, J-man!" Striker said with a nod.

The four of them headed for the stairs to reach the next floor, while Jason looks up the hole, hearing Natsu fighting.

'Note to self, learn how to fly with the Sky Plate.' Jay thought as he began to jump to each floor through the whole.

When he reached the third floor, right below where Natsu was, said person suddenly fell through the floor.

"Natsu?" Jay said surprised. "What happened?"

"I don't know." Natsu answered. "I was about to hit that jerk when the spot under me gave way!"

Jay took a few seconds to think. His mind then went to Zalty.

"Maybe it was the third person's magic." Jay said. "We better be careful."

"Right." Natsu agreed as he jumped to the spot he fell from as Jay jumped through the bigger one.

(Jason's PoV)

I had just landed on the next floor when the room started to freeze! Thankfully the Flame Plate keeps me warm.

"Begone." Lyon said to Zalty before looking down at Natsu, who was pulling himself out to the spot he fell through. "I will finish him myself."

"Don't forget about me, Lyon!" I called out, getting all the baddie's attention.

"Ah yes. I remember you." Lyon said. "The one who has knowledge of this "Plate", as you called it."

Zalty was surprised at what Lyon said.

'So he does know about them!' Zalty thought. 'I might have to alter my plan to capture him.'

"Regardless if you're here, I'm the one and only wizard who can defeat Deliora. Reitei Lyon!" Lyon proclaimed. "To even imply that I would have trouble with a brat like him is insulting."

"Oh, my…" Zalty said.

'Wow, someone's ego is showing.' I thought.

"Defeat Deliora?" Natsu asked as he stood up. "But it's already half defeated, right? So you want to break it free of the ice on purpose to fight it?"

"He doesn't want to fight it, Natsu." I said. "He wants to kill it!"

"Really? That's pretty whacked out there, buddy." Natsu said.

"It's all to surpass Ur." Lyon said as he launched a flock of Ice Make Eagles at Natsu and me. "So I can continue to dream!"

"Then why don't you just challenge Ur directly?" Natsu asked while dodging.

"He can't!" I responded while running around. "Remember what Gray told us?"

"An immortal demon that ran rampant 10 years ago in the land of Isvan. The demon who Ur, the wizard who taught me magic, gave her life to seal away!" Gray said.

"So she ended up dying?" Natsu asked.

"Yeah, and now this guy believes the only way to surpass Ur is by killing the one thing she couldn't!" I answered as I was beside him.

"That's right." Lyon said. "And it was Gray's fault!"

Lyon secretly formed ice eagles behind me and Natsu before sending them at us. We were able to just notice them and move to block them, causing a smokescreen. By using both Harden and Bulk Up I was able to negate some of the damage, but still stung a bit. Natsu simply tanked it. Lyon simply waited for the smoke to clear and when it does, he sees that we blocked his sneak attacks.

"I don't know what happened in the past." Natsu said. "But what you're trying to do now is making a lot of people suffer."

"Doing things like this isn't honoring Ur's memory." I spoke up. "She'd be both disappointed and sad."

"We're gonna make you open your eyes!" Natsu proclaimed as his fist was covered by swirling flames.

"With our fire power!" I yelled while changing into my Fire Form.

(third PoV)

In the forest, Gray, Lucy, Happy and Erza were making their way to the temple to help Natsu and Jason. They had stopped so Gray could rest for a bit due to his injury. It was there he revealed a shocking secret.

"Ur is still alive." Gray said.

"What do you mean?" Erza asked.

"Ten years ago…" Gray started explaining. "The city where I lived was attacked by Deliora. It didn't even take a day for it to be destroyed. I was saved by Ur and Lyon who just happened to pass by. And for me, that's how it all started."

Gray then told them a bit about his days training under Ur and along side Lyon. They would train in the snow in nothing but their underwear and take ice baths. In Ur's words "If you're going to control the cold, then you need to become one with the cold." This is also where he picked up his unintentional stripping habit. On the way back from a shopping trip to the town close to where they lived Gray overheard a conversation from a passing wagon about Deliora making its way to the Northern Continent, around a town called Brago. After hearing them, Gray made up his mind and left to kill Deliora in the middle of a snowstorm. Ur tried to stop him, but he wouldn't listen.

"Stop this!" Ur yelled. "There's no way you can win against Deliora! It's impossible for you, Gray!"

Gray stopped in his tracks but didn't turn around.

"Shut up." Gray said. "You think you can understand? *turns around and glares at Ur* I'm going to avenge my mother and father! You got a problem with that?!"

"You leave, and you're expelled." Ur warned.

"Sure! Sounds good to me!" Gray said as he resumed walking away.

"Gray…" Lyon whispered in disbelief.

"If I die, then I'll haunt you for not teaching me more powerful magic." Gray said.

"Damn it…" Ur scoffed.

Gray made his way to Brago and fought Deliora but was hopelessly unmatched and was knocked out. When he came too, he looked at Deliora rampaging across the destroyed town in fear. That is until someone pulled him into a hug.

"It'll be fine." Ur said in a comfort tone. "Everything'll be fine now."

"Ur…" Gray said in surprise. "Why?"

"No questions." Ur said. "Just take Lyon away from here. It's harder to fight when I have to protect you, too."

Upon hearing Lyon was here as well, Gray looks to the left and see's his senior member.

"Lyon…" Gray said.

"He's out for the count." Ur said.

Gray quickly went over and picked Lyon up while Ur glared at the demon.

"Deliora…" Gray said as he was on the verge of tears. "I wasn't… able to do anything…"

"Hurry up and go." Ur ordered him as she began walking towards Deliora.

"Ur, why did you come?" Gray asked. "I thought I was expelled?"

Ur stopped so she could talk.

"A good friend of mine told me that I should start thinking about my own happiness." Ur explained. "But I don't remember being all that unhappy. Isn't that right? *turns to Gray with a look from a loving mother* With my two bright pupils growing day by day… Everyday being an adventure… That's all the happiness I need."

Gray couldn't believe what he was hearing, until he noticed something about Ur.

"I came here to take back that happiness." Ur continued.

"Ur, your leg…" Gray gasped.

"Oh this?" she asked. "I lost it, but it's no big deal."

During her brief fight against Deliora, Ur had lost her right leg but had used her magic to make an ice prosthesis.

"Creation Magic is pretty amazing, don't you think?" Ur asked. "If that monster is your darkness, then I have a reason to fight it."

Gray had started to cry.

"Go. I'll defeat it." Ur said.

"Don't… I won't let you!" Gray denied. "This is all my fault!"

"It's no one's fault." Ur said. "This is just a hurdle to pass to take back my happiness."

She would've started walking again if not for one thing.

"Ur…" Lyon spoke up.

Both Gray and Ur look at him as he pushes off Gray, a look of denial and craziness starting to form.

"You're awake, Lyon?" Ur asked. "You and Gray-"

"You're really going to do it?" Lyon interrupted. "Happiness? What are you talking about?"

"Lyon…" Gray tried to speak.

"Shut up!" Lyon snapped. "Ur, you're the strongest wizard there is… There's no way you'd lose to some monster, right?"

"Lyon, I've told you before." Ur said, sounding as if she's done it before. "There's always someone better."

"That can't be true…" he denied.

"There are a ton of wizards stronger than me in the countries to the west." Ur said.

"That's not true…" Lyon denied, his eyes twitching. "You're the strongest, Ur… If you're not then… why'd I go through all that training?"

"After you surpass me, then you should just find a new goal." Ur said.

"I became your pupil because I thought you were the strongest!" Lyon yelled. "Don't you dare lose to that monster! Don't betray me!"

"Lyon…" Ur tried to speak, but Lyon ran past her.

"If you're not gonna be serious, then I'll do it!" Lyon proclaimed.

He skidded to a stop while crossing his arms. Right over the left, with the left palm facing up and the right palm facing down.

"That pose… Where did you learn that?" Ur demanded.

"Where, you ask?" Lyon asked as a magic circle appeared under him. "Because you wouldn't teach me any powerful magic, I had to read the spell books in your storehouse!"

As Lyon was explaining, the magic started to build up.

"Why'd you hide such powerful magic from me?" Lyon asked. "Iced Shell!"

"Lyon! Did you read that book to the end?" Ur asked. "The people who use that magic…"

"Iced Shell?" Gray asked.

"Are you listening, Lyon?" Ur yelled.

Lyon had a crazy grin on his face, unable to hear his teacher over his power trip. The resulting magic had unfortunately caught the attention of Deliora.

"What incredible magic power!" Gray said.

"It noticed us!" Ur said.

"No magic will work against Deliora…" Lyon said. "In that case, I'll us this magic to trap you for eternity in ice!"

But before he could cast the spell, Lyon was encased in a frozen rose.

"I can't let you use that magic." Ur said as she was the one that did it.

"Ur, why did you…" Gray started to ask.

"You can't use Iced Shell!" Ur said. "The people who use it destroy their own bodies as a price. But it's true that's the only thing that could stop this thing. I can't believe that Lyon would think of trying the same thing that I was going to do."

As Ur began walking towards Deliora, her magic spiked.

"Was trying to do…?" Gray repeated.

"That's a disciple for you." Ur said.

"Ur!" Gray called out.

"Stand back." she ordered.

Ur then took the same pose as Lyon did, but the result of hers was far stronger. Magic circles appeared around Deliora, trapping it in place.

"I won't allow you to get near my pupils!" Ur shouted at the demon. "This is the end for you, monster! Ultimate Freeze…*she swings her arms out* Iced Shell!"

After unleashing the spells power, Ur's entire body was covered in light and lines were shot at the circles around Deliora, before it started to freeze.

"Ur!" Gray yelled.

As the spell was taking effect, Ur's body began to freeze and crack.

"Your body!" Gray gasped.

"I told you, right?" Ur asked. "This magic destroys the body. It's magic that turns one's own body into ice… for eternity. Gray, I have a favor to ask you. Tell Lyon I died."

Gray gasped upon hearing her request.

"If he knew that I became the ice, he'd probably spend his entire life trying to undo the spell." Ur explained. "If he did that, that would defeat the purpose of this."

"Stop it!" Gray yelled.

"I want Lyon to see more of the world…" Ur continued. "And you too, Gray…"

"I'm begging you, stop!" Gray begged. "Please, I'll do whatever you say from now on!"

"Don't be sad." Ur said softly as she looked at him with a smile. "I'll live on."

And that was the last thing she said as her body broke apart into ice, with her final words on the wind for Gray to hear.

"I'll live on as the ice, for all eternity… Go forth… to your future…"

"Ur!" Gray screamed into the night sky.

"I will seal your darkness."

Ur gave her life to drive away his days of darkness. With her final words in his heart, Gray decided to start on a new path. However… there was one more still trapped in the darkness. When Ur had become the Iced Shell, her ice rose had broken but Lyon was unconscious. When he had awoken, Gray had honored Ur's wish and told him she had died. Upon hearing this Lyon blames Gray for "killing" Ur and leaves, never seeing or hearing of him again until now.

Upon reaching the temple, Lucy and Happy look weirded out while tilting their heads.

"Huh?" Lucy asked. "The ruins are… tilted?"

"What happened?" Happy asked.

"Natsu, I bet." Gray guessed. "Jay and the Pokémon he brought must've helped."

"Yeah." Erza agreed.

"Not sure how they did it, but only Natsu would do something nuts like that." Gray said. "It doesn't really matter whether he did it on purpose or not. Now the light of the moon won't shine on Deliora."

"Who knew that his tendency for wanton destruction could actually come in handy?" Lucy said.

"I knew." Happy said as he was trying to reset his head. "It was foreshadowed."

He does it a little too hard and snaps it to the other side, scaring Lucy. Erza then suddenly senses something in the forest, before things come flying at them.

"Watch out!" Erza warns as she punches Lucy and Happy.

Erza and Gray dodge the projectiles thrown at them.

"Who's there?!" Erza demands.

"We've found you, Fairy Tail!" a robed female says.

"We won't allow you to interfere with Lord Reitei!" a male speaks.

"These guys…" Gray mutters.

"Lyon's followers?" Erza asked.

"We're surrounded!" Lucy warns as she regroups. "Kinda wish the other Pokémon came with us, but they only follow Jay's orders."

"Aye!" Happy says.

"Leave them to me!" Erza said as she summons her sword.

"Erza…" Gray said.

"Go, Gray." Erza said. "Finish things with Lyon."

Gray looks at her in surprise and nods.

"Don't worry!" Lucy said while snapping her whip. "We're here too, so just go!"

"Aye!" Happy said as he held an eaten fish like a sword.

"You guys…" Gray said.

He smiles and beings to run towards the temple.

'He doesn't know that Ur is still alive.' Gray thought. 'The only one who can stop him is me!'

Me and Natsu have been at this for a while know and I gotta say, Lyon's good. Even without the Icicle Plate boosting his power, I can tell he's skilled. That's how Lyon's been able to keep up with the both of us. But like I said before, he's only able too with the Icicle Plate. Take that away combined with his arrogance and not using his magic properly then…

"Damn, there's no end to this." Natsu said.

"If we can get the Plate out of his hands, we can beat him." I said. "All we need is a chance."

"And how do we do that?" he asked.

"Well…" I started to say before whispering. "The whole room is covered in ice."

Natsu blinks, takes a quick glance around, looks at me and grins devilishly in understanding.

"Whatever plan you come up with won't matter." Lyon boasted. "You can't beat me."

"Oh we'll see about that." I said while running at him.

Lyon was getting ready to attack when I smirked.

"Now Natsu!" I yelled, catching Lyon off guard.

Natsu lit his fists on fire and slammed them on the ground, causing a fog to cover the room and us from view.

"So this is what you came up with?" Lyon asked while looking around himself.

He then sensed something behind him and went to attack, only to stop and see it was my jacket… just my jacket.

'Where did he?' Lyon thought in surprise.

He then realized too late as he spun around to see me with an attack ready.

"Covet!" I yelled.

I punched Lyon hard in the stomach and sent him out of the fog. He landed on the opposite side of the room as he clutched his stomach while kneeling. The fog was beginning to fade as I stood there catching my jacket. Lyon looked at me.

"All that for one measly hit." Lyon mocked.

"One hit, yeah." I spoke. "So I can get this."

I then held something up that caused Natsu, who had not moved from his spot as he trusted me, to grin and Lyon to widen his eyes in shock and disbelief. In my hand was the Icicle Plate.

"What?!" Lyon gasped as he looked to his right hand, only to see it empty. "How did you get that?"

"Simple." I said while explaining. "Covet is a "spell" that if my hands are empty and yours aren't, by landing the hit I can take whatever you're holding."

"Nice one, Jay!" Natsu cheered.

"It doesn't matter if you took it." Lyon said as he stood up. "I'll just take it back!"

"And how will you do that…" I asked before absorbing it into my body. "When it's apart of me now?"

"What?" Lyon gasped.

"Just give it up and surrender already, you pointed-eyed bastard!" Natsu snapped.

"Your eyes are pretty pointy themselves." Lyon pointed out.

"It's over Lyon." I said while putting my jacket back on. "The Plate was the only thing helping you, without it you can't win."

"I don't need that item to beat you." Lyon said with a glare.

"Fine then." I responded with embers coming from my mouth. "Don't say I didn't give you the chance."

"Time to finish this." Natsu said as he ingulfed his fist in flames.

"I like the sound of that." Lyon said as icy winds came form his body.

But just before we could resume the fight, the ice to the right started to crack.

"What's this?" Natsu asked.

"I didn't do that." I said.

The ice then shattered to reveal a person standing there, much to all our surprise.

"Gray?" Natsu asked.

"Natsu, Jay, let me take this guy down." Gray said as he walked into the room.

"You already lost to him once, remember?" Natsu argued.

"I won't this time." Gray said.

"Well I don't have a problem with it." I said reverting to Normal Form. "I just got the Icicle Plate before you showed up."

"Good to hear." Gray said. "I'll finish this."

"That's some confidence you have there." Lyon said.

"It was my fault that Ur died ten years ago." Gray admitted. "But… Hurting my friends… Hurting the village… trying to melt that ice… I can't forgive you for that. I'll punish you for them all, Lyon."

Gray then takes a pose that causes Lyon to gasp.

"That pose…" Lyon said in shock. "Iced Shell!"

"Nani?" I asked in shock myself.

"Iced Shell?" Natsu asked.

"That's the same spell Ur used to stop Deliora!" I said. "The same one that cost her life!"

Natsu gasped in realization.

"You bastard… have you gone mad?" Lyon asked.

"Return the villagers to the way they were, take your friends and leave this island immediately!" Gray demanded.

A magic circle appeared under Gray.

"This is your last chance I'll give you." Gray warned.

"I see… You think you can bluff me with that magic" Lyon mocked, thinking that it was a bluff. "How pointless."

Gray's only response was increasing the magic output of the spell, causing the wind to pick up.

'Damnit, he's not bluffing!' I thought in horror. 'He's really planning on using Iced Shell!'

"I'm serious." Gray said.

"Why, you…" Lyon growled as she tried to stop Gray, but the power of Iced Shell was stronger than Lyon and sent him backwards.

"Gray!" Natsu called out.

"Stop this!" I yelled. "With out the Plate, if he keeps using one hand, you'll beat him easily!"

"No matter how many years pass, it won't change the fact that it's my fault Ur's dead!" Gray said. "I have to take responsibility sometime… So now's the time. I'm prepared to die…*a patch that was above his left eyebrow flew off to reveal a scar* I've been for the past ten years!"

"You're serious?!" Lyon asked.

"Answer me, Lyon!" Gray said. "Do we die together of live together?"

"Do it." Lyon answered. "You don't have the guts to die. There's no way you do!"

"Too bad." Gray said.

He then started to activate the spell.

"Gray no!" I yelled.

"Gray!" Natsu yelled.

'Natsu, Jay, Erza and everyone at Fairy Tail…' Gray thought. 'It's up to you now… Sorry, but I'm making my exit! This is… the end!'
