Second history 8932. It's been thousands of years since the discovery of magic as an energy source and the resulting magical girl war forced humanity to abandon earth and go into space. Sonic the hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower and Knuckles the Echidna become involved in the aftermath of this conflict and a new war born from its ashes. Alongside an amnesiac claiming to be Madoka.

32. Chapter 32 The golden age part 3

Kyoto report # 8: Mana

My research on the incubators has led me to discover that their civilization utilizes some sort of energy that cannot be quantified by normal methods.

Apparently this is part of a grand interconnected energy field that binds the galaxy together.

As ridiculous as this living force sounds. It seems that the enemy is capable of interacting with it.

It also seems that the claims are true. That their Puella Magi. (Seriously what edgelord came up with that term to begin with?)Are the key component of an energy farm operation.

Their emotions used as a catalyst to apparently extend the lifespan of the universe.

Still our children being used as cattle?! It is unforgivable even if such things have always been religious taboo.

Kyoto report # 19: Puella Magi

I suppose it was inevitable.

Once the truth was revealed and the revolution started. The people took out their anger on these girls.

Now demonized as Puella Magi. (Seriously that name is so dumb. I can't believe it's being used as a racial slur.) The people have started discriminating against them.

While they were meant to be sacrifices. I fear that these children will be tainted by hatred. And willingly join our enemies.

Thus I have decided...

The other Liberators have been asking me to become their leader.

And so I shall become the first emperor of Reibai. Kyoto von Reibai.

Maybe by doing this. I can achieve my dream. A world with no discrimination. The reason why I started our resistance to begin with.

The year is 2021. Ten years have passed since Madoka Kaname became the law of cycles. But due to either naivete or badly misplaced goodwill. She allowed one girl to remember the old world. Which was enough for the incubators to usurp her and create an era of darkness for the universe. Now a rebellion is forming in the distant corners of the universe. Composed of the Anim federation a series of 100 worlds dominated by sapient humanoid animals. The Reibai empire which is only composed of three worlds but is home to a race of technologically advanced warriors famed for successfully overthrowing the incubators and eliminating the witch system. The Medical mechanica movement that seeks equal rights for robotic lifeforms. The human kingdom of Atlanta where the descendants of ancient astronauts from Atlantis call home. And the Zoah a race of sentient crystals that were a powerful warrior race until they disappeared.

The magical girl war has ended. With Incubaa decimated and the universe remade afterwards. It was believed that a golden age of peace would follow. But instead, nothing apparently happened. Now with the incubator leadership killed or on the run and their homeworld under a blockade. The people of the universe begin to rebuild their lives after ten years of war. Unaware that this would be the prelude to more conflict. The unification wars had begun.

Chapter 32: The golden age: part 3

December 25 2034, Incubaa blockade fleet

Several days after the glassing of Incubaa. The planet was finally completely sterilized of enemy forces. Now with a blockade fleet formed around its orbit. The victorious IAA is disposing of the remaining ruins as it was decided that this planet would become the new capital of a new galactic government. And to do so they were to destroy all remnants of the incubators existence and build a large acumunopolis on top of the mass graves where enemy forces that held no research or experimentation value were unceremoniously dumped. And while it was suggested that the remaining incubators be used as a food source. Apparently Kyoko Sakura ate one and it tasted like marshmallows. The IAA decided to continue its extermination procedures.

Inside the Hakubi. One of the ships of the blockade. Kagami Ichijin and Kagemusha were in the ships medical horde. Where the latter was stepping out from another system scan made to attempt to answer why Pandora failed. While Kagami was reading the data and talking on the comms to Jango about someone who was executed for trying to summon a demon or something. "So what did they do to Lorgar?" Kagemusha asks her master Kagami who had just finished a private communication. "They cut his goddamn head off. Took about five tries until the guillotine got thru all that chunk. It doesn't matter if he's one of Lord Aquila's kids. We have a zero tolerance policy on the proliferation and worship of undivided chaos. (sigh) I am not going to let another Horus run wild across the galaxy again especially after we just finished killing the second one!"

"Anyways back to Pandora." Kagami remarks as she looks over the data. "It seems that the dimensional reboot failed. Instead causing a dimensional crash. Now our universe is merged with hundreds, perhaps thousands of others all linked to you and the calamity. If we are to successfully restart the world. You must learn clarity of mind my apprentice. Also we must once again gather the other fragments of the Law of Cycles. Right now you have one third. With Madoka and the Witch having the others. Of course both are dead so we must revive them. Madoka will be cloned and sealed away while the Calamity will be isolated until the time is right. It will take many, many, years. But your shard of the Law has effectively made you completely immortal. Not only will you never age. But even if somehow you are killed. You will be quickly revived with greater strength than before."

As Kagami would go on to explain. A pair of towers designed to serve as tailor made prisons for their remains. Madoka being shipped off to Earth where she will be buried underneath Uruguay as the nation was ruined during the pacification of Earth as the planet is being used as a testbed for the restoration towers. And Homura's corpse is being shipped off to the void sector. A vast area of dark space in between multiple galaxies. Dark space is essentially the vast nothingness between galaxies where not even light reaches. So it is perfect to hide things there. Especially since thanks to star warp gates it's possible to near instantly travel from one galaxy to another. As well as project 0.5. A research venture on creating a reliable and compact warp drive that can be fitted on any single seat fighter.

"I see, master. Then I must be off. After all there could still be more traitors somewhere." Kagemusha remarks as she leaves the room only to be stopped by Kagami's question. "Is it really okay? To just hunt down and kill them?" Kagemusha coldly responds. "Traitors get shot. It is as simple as that. I killed the arch-traitor and the calamity because they betrayed us. Because they betrayed you, master." Kagami reacts with. "Her name was Tsuruya!" Before quickly shutting her mouth as silence surrounds them. "Keep such outbursts to yourself master. After all not everyone is as merciful as I am when it comes to enemies of the state." Kagemusha then leaves her master alone who simply breaks down in tears.

Meanwhile in Club Blue star, Solomon station

In Solomon station a space colony located in the orbit of Jupiter. Meant to serve as both a large spaceport and living area for the asteroid miners of the area. Kyoko Sakura had been squatting here in depression after the war ended. Drowning her sorrows thanks to the drinks of an older gentleman with long silver hair in a ponytail. As she has to listen to the hollering of a group of strangely dressed men who are apparently celebrating a Mr. Ramba Ral who is a portly older man with a sizable mustache and a blue version of the olive green uniform and a woman is his arm that in Kyoko's opinion is some sort of hooker as she cannot believe that man is dating such an attractive blonde with blue eyes and a decent singing voice. While cursing her inebriation as everyone in the bar looks like a Zeon officer from the one year war. And the bartender Gato-san looks just like Anavel Gato in a snazzy bartender suit.

That's when a familiar creepy old man joined Kyoko struggling to get up into the bar stall due to his short size. "Ugh why is everything so huge? Can't you people see that I am an old man here!" "Barragan..." Kyoko bemoaned as she guzzled down her large beer glass like it was a shot. Something that the literal living corpse noticed. "You know, i'm surprised that a young lady like you is getting into a drunker stupor like this." Before finally getting on top of the stool and sitting on it. "Will you quit it old man? I may not look the part. But I am in my thirties now." Kyoko mused as she took a sip of her drink. Sorrowfully noting how she has spent most of her life fighting wars. Barragan merely replied. "Well, I am well over 100 so it's all relative between us. At least you kept your youthful good looks all this time."

Kyoko asks for another Solomon slammer to which "Gato" complied as he took the glass. With the magical girl commenting. "Besides these Solomon slammers are too die for!" A claim that got cheers from the local Zeon cosplaying patrons and a small grin from Gato. "Man, I'm so buzzed that i'm hallucinating the cast of Mobile suit Gundam." With Barragan stating. "It's not the alcohol young lady. This bar has been replaced by a Zeon hangout. No, it's more like it's history has been replaced and we really are in the Zeon base from the anime." Kyoko just looks at Barragan and breaks out in hysterical laughter much to the zombie's annoyance before stopping and remarking. "And next you will tell me that Pac-Man and Zangief are sharing a table on the other side."

The scene then switches to said table where Pac-Man and Zangief are eating dinner. With the former just scarfing down plate after plate while the latter attempted to regale Pac-Man about the time he piledrived a bear in the Siberian wilderness for his training. Before the scene changed back to Kyoko and Barragan.

"Anyways I came to give you a job offer." Barragan noted with a dead serious expression. "I wish for you to pledge your allegiance to me. Once I rule the universe as king I will grant any wish you desire." Kyoko simply asked. "Does that include restoring Sayaka?" To which Barragan noted. "Unfortunately that is impossible. When the Great calamity was killed all of the dead Puella magi were supposed to die as well. As it was its will that kept them alive." "So old man, i'm guessing Homura is also getting the Tsuruya treatment." "Of course Kyoko. After all we can't have anyone else getting such delusions of grandeur." "Like King of the Universe isn't as goddamn pretentious?" Kyoko smirked. "Cute. Anyways her existence and legacy will be purged from the record. I also heard that any remaining relatives of her that weren't killed have been silenced as well." After hearing that Kyoko remember Kyouske who had lost use of his arm again and finally committed suicide in front of Hitomi. Whom has also left Earth for parts unknown after that. "By the way, how is Sayaka still alive? Nagisa is delusional enough that she can say no to dying and get away with it. But Sayaka was sane." Barragan replied. "You answered your own questions. Right now Sayaka seems to be suffering from trauma induced amnesia. If she ever were to remember that she died she would disappear as well. We are calling the situation Kazamatsuri syndrome."

Kyoko gets up and begins to leave noting. "So you have nothing of value for me? Then get lost." Leaving a shocked Barragan to scream. "You will regret this you bitch! You are a mere magical girl, while I am a God!" Gato then stops Barragan by stating. "You are causing a scene sir. Calm down." Barragan merely spits on Anavel Gato's face and asks. "Or what?" Only to be surrounded by 30 Zeon soldiers alongside Zangief who proceed to beat the crap out Barragan before chucking him out by force. Leaving the beaten old man eating dirt.

JRAOMA institute, Eljhomara city, Planet Onigashima

Onigashima is an arid and young world composed of an arid super continent and a massive ocean that covers the world. With Elijhomara being a settlement built by desert dwelling anim on the continents center. With most of the city with the exception of the local garrison and the recently moved in JRAOMA institute being made of sun baked brick buildings. With sun gems and other colored stones local to the planet serving as decorations and a massive fountain at the town square. JRAOMA was originally a think thank that theorized about parallel realities but after the failed reboot. All knowledge of which is now a national top secret alongside Pandora. Was drafted to investigate the strange new state of the cosmos.

"Dr. Sodom?" Alisa Landale who at this time was a fellow researcher in JRAOMA tried to catch the attention of Doctor Merkubah Sodom. An elderly hyena anim with graying fur and a sizable beard to his name. Who was engrossed in watching the streams of data flow and adjusting his goggles while doing his job. "Man that old man sure likes his statistics." Another doctor a much younger man in a colorful and extravagant lilac and gold outfit. Or Newman. A species very similar to elves but not related to them in any way. And famous for their short lifespans. Dr. Jean Carlo Montague was a child genius both in science and magic and alongside working at JRAOMA was part of the Guardians which served as a security and police for the frontier regions of the universe. Completely unbound by political affiliations. As for Alisa she apparently was a famous heroine and princess that slew the incarnation of darkness and then the secretary to a video game company for some reason that fell from a hole in the sky. But backstory aside is damn good at managerial duties. To the point that she single handedly managed to both fix JRAOMA's financial issues but also convinced the government to fund them.

Alisa decided to nudge Dr. Sodom which manages to both spook him and get his attention. "Huh, huh, what? No I don't want your literature." The old professor reacted until Alisa calmed him down. "Oh sorry Alis. I was just sorting the data when I started to remember my family." Jean is surprised to hear that Sodom had relatives to which he merely looks at Alisa with dead seriousness remarking. "Alisa, when I die I want you to take care of that. And to make sure my grandson never gets their hands on it." Alisa tried to calm the old man down as Jean just wondered what is going on. "Strange... Dr. Sodom treats this Alisa girl as a surrogate daughter. But I know she wasn't here before five days ago. When everything got weird. Now this place is being refurbished into a major research hub. And whenever I talk to the higher ups they just tell me to ignore the situation. Also all of the records have been changed as if this is a completely different reality from the one I was in a week ago..."

December 24 2044, Central building, Planet Center

Roughly ten years have passed since then. And now a freshly promoted Mami Tomoe was exiting her meeting with the IFS admiralty as its newest member. The past ten years have been home to the unification wars a series of civil wars mostly between those who support unification, those that desire Independence, warlords that refuse to give up power and thus were violently removed, and Incubator remnants who try to use the conflict to destabilize the region. With Mami being sent to Earth to solve its warlord crisis. As numerous warlords used Neo crusader forces to oppose the IFS. She still couldn't believe even now all the horror she saw. Whether it was the stories that Israel triggered the Samson option a nuclear strike that would have destroyed the world if it wasn't shot down by IAA orbital patrols. Leaving the entire Middle East uninhabitable due to nuclear fallout. Or that the whole mess was caused by a drunken frat boy annihilating Jerusalem. And while the idea is absurd. Jerusalem was wiped off the map and the heads of the government as well as countless international diplomats were all killed in the event. A second civil war in the United States which led to half of the population fleeing into space while the rest were obliterated from orbit by the burial fleet. Which all led to a third world war and cascaded to the point where half of humanity fled the world while the other half killed themselves and left the planet in ruins. Leaving the human race scattered as the Earth was salt nuked into oblivion with Cadmium bombs.

To say the past few years weren't kind to the magical girl was an understatement. Especially that now she is the sole remaining heir to the Tomoe fortune and assets. By her own hands as her uncle forced her hand after kidnapping Nagisa alongside a whole bunch of orphaned children which he planned to sacrifice to the incubators in exchange for wishes. As she was walking thru the offices she is called in by a robot woman with only a glowing eye for a face and wearing an office lady suit. "Ms. Tomoe." "Oh Patheon-san, what brings you here?" "My boss wishes to speak privately with you." "Oh, Barragan, huh? Fine..."

Mami Tomoe and Redips Patheon enter Barragan Natch's private office. A poorly lit cubicle space that would be more at home in an evil organization like SELEE. With Barragan himself in the center. Clasping his hands like a much older, much uglier Gendo Ikari. With Redips heading to her masters side like some robotic Fuyutsuki. To the point that Barragan's office obtained the nickname of the Gendo suite by his fellow co-workers. The elderly man looks at Mami and offers both his condolences for losing her relatives and his congratulations for inheriting the company. Mami simply avoids looking at the duo while Barragan continues his speech. "Also the government thanks you for investing on Center. With your help we will ensure the restoration of the ruined incubaa. Which will become our glorious new capital. A beacon of illumination and reason that will pierce thru the grim darkness of the incubators legacy." Mami responds with. "A city built on the dead? An eternal monument to their defeat and humiliation?" "You say that like its a bad thing. According to the records you humans did the exact same thing to your lessers. Africans, Americans, Asians, entire people and entire cultures obliterated simply because they looked different from you. All in the name of a God that claims to love everyone yet preaches betrayal, genocide, and slavery in his name. Is there any doubt that they destroyed themselves while our people were raptured to the heavens?" Mami countered. "Do you people really think you're God?!" To which Barragan countered. "That's the thing. God is dead and Madoka Kaname killed him. When she and Homura recreated the universe in her image both YHWH and Lucifer were killed in the backlash and temporally substituted by them. So if anyone killed God its humanity. Honestly Gilgamesh would be proud." "And what are you planning now? The conquest of heaven and hell?" Mami asks in a joking manner which soon turns dead serious when her counterpart speaks.

"Pacify heaven and hell. Both Paradiso and Inferno are in shambles and now it is our chance to ensure that they never hurt us again! Yes, when I become a God! Redips cuts her boss off my reminding him to use we when talking about things which just left the old man confused as his assistant tried to explain the concept of sharing to him. Which flew completely over Barragan's head. "Well if you're so smart Patheon. Why don't you try to convince her?" Patheon simply activates a series of screens which show all of Mami's remaining friends. "It's quite simple Miss Tomoe. Obey us or they will be killed." Mami reflexively pulls out a musket at Redips only for Nagisa to drop dead instantly. Falling off the toilet that she was sitting on and forcing Mami to pull back as Nagisa was revived. Patheon looked at Mami and only said. "Kneel." To which Mami hesitantly does so. "Good now as of your assignment." Mami is forced to obey in disgust as Barragan is impressed by his assistants evil.

Afterwards Mami leaves as the evil duo remained content of their evil while Redips continue watching Nagisa taking a dump which concerns her boss. "Are you really into this Redips?" "You should get used to this. After all once you become a god you will be able to see everything everywhere." Barragan violently reacts to the comment with. "I want to live in wealth and comfort forever! Not perv on minors! Damn that's fucked up!"

December 31 2066 AKA s.h. 0 thru retroactive recognition

"All over the Milky Way, Andromeda, and Triangulum. The people are feverishly celebrating the end of the wars. After the destruction of Planet Earth. Mankind has been scattered across the stars. And while nations like the United states and their allies are being allowed refugee status across the universe. Both due to the fact that America and Japan were the first countries to accept an alliance with the IAA. Many others weren't as lucky. With the former members of the Warsaw pact as well as the Middle Eastern states being heavily discriminated due to several of their leaders refusing to disarm and waging civil war. The people of these nations are being gathered into massive mobile space colonies. These colonies were originally meant to assist in the war effort but have now been decommissioned and are now used as massive refugee camps.

What makes mobile colonies so distinctive is their capacity for warp travel. And with the smallest colony having a living space radius of 50 miles. They are considered the largest warp capable craft in the universe. Far surpassing battlestations such as the five mile long ARK class and the fifteen mile long Gigalos carriers of the Traders guild. A feat that is only possible thanks to the advent of mana reactors which are capable of producing the vast energy quantities necessary to move them in an efficient and affordable manner.

With Planet Reibai even offering an entire continent specifically for human resettlement. The nations of Japan and America is choosing to rebuild their nations there. While the nations of the EU have chosen to live around the Pixis cluster. A series of unsettled smaller worlds in the northern milky way. While there is fear from several groups that these neo nations will try to invade other territories. Senator Oriko Mikumi is working to calm said fears. Noting that all member nations of the IFS are to follow the UN central charter and all of its provisions. And to violate said laws will result in military intervention.

Stating that its nothing more than conspiracy theories."

In the snowy plains of an icy uninhabited world. Kagemusha was overseeing the construction of his personal fortress. Saitou's idea as apparently as this ice world was perfect for a secret supply depot. And as a separate base far from Reibai and its surrounding worlds and the RRF is apparently rewarding her for her service. By giving Kagemusha a secret lair for some reason. Enjoying the frigid cold of the icy world. As it soothes the burning rage and hate inside her. Hate that refuses to go away as she pulls out a blaster on a hallucination of Sayaka, Mami, and Kyubey. The three attempting to attack Kagemusha only for a surge of power to drive them away.

"Bwhahahahahahahaaaa! What? Are you broken fools here to gaze upon my works and despair?! Sayaka Miki, a naive fool who bit off more than she could chew! Now you is dead and broken! After all that pride, all of that self righteousness, trapped in an eternal delusion until her final days! Mami Tomoe, once you were the strongest! But your heart and will were always weak! And now I not only surpassed you! But I have become so much more! Now all you can do is watch in envy as I become the savior! And the incubator, for all of claims your greed blinded you to reality! And now you and your race will pay the price! Now you face the wrath of the true superior being who will kill your kind! Down to the last..." Kagamusha then raises her arm and an incredible burst that wipes out the visions in a seemingly painful manner all while the masked woman laughs maniacally before moving on.

"Sir, is everything alright?" A Zero trooper that is part of the security asks as the duo look on at the construction of what would become Castle Blade. As drones labor on the castle's construction and mining the nearby mountain range.

Jan 6 s.h. 8920 in the depths of uncharted space

Kyubey now embroiled in the purple flames of corruption looks at a dark thundering void in the middle of outer space and smiles evilly.

"I finally found it. The resting place of the Great Calamity. After all this time I can finally have my revenge!" Kyubey snickers and then laughs before stopping and nudging at a person cloaked in a hood. "Well, what are you waiting for clone? Get to it!"

The hooded clone silently moved forward activated a console in their wrist and began interacting with the void which started becoming more acting and erratic.

Mar 10 s.h. 8923 Planet Reibai

A colossal time skip later. Planet Reibai had become a major intergalactic super power. The world is now home to Neo Japan and the Reibai settlements with Neo America moving to another planet. The Windu province is now a massive city that has been completely merged with the surrounding forest. With the crowning jewel being Mycellstein. A massive mile high vertical complex that is both a series of skyscrapers and a giant world tree that towers above the province itself. With a series of bullet trains that connect the entire world. And connect to the KRF labs which even now millennia later are still developing new technologies which get sent all over the universe.

Tsurugi Kagemusha who is currently in one of her rare unmasked moments ever since taking on her current identity staring at a face that hasn't changed in thousands of years in a mournful manner. Before putting the mask that has become her face once again. As the helmet sealed itself hermetically, the familiar heads up system corrects her eyesight, and the interconnected life support system cleans and filters the air around her allowing her to breath and maintain her cybernetic heart and lungs. Of course nowadays such extensive cybernetics are seen as ancient systems.

Reminiscing on the Reibai's achievements over the eras. The successful application of avatar technology. To the point where almost everyone is a sort of bio android in some way or form. Ensuring not only a higher standard of living. With most people easily living past 100 years at minimum. The towers have been a roaring success. With the many world destroyed in the war being restored and resettled. With Planet Earth being resettled as Mobius with the locals being none the wiser. Due to a combination of time and information control. With the origin of humanity being treated as an old legend by the current population. And further research on the forbidden art of time travel has granted them the knowledge to ensure that Project Pandora would be a success this time.

And just several months ago. She had been heavily involved in the end of Mobius great war. With Monika's help the two managed to assist in brokering peace thru targeted assassinations. The masked woman particularly enjoyed dealing with Maximilian the cursed. She had always hated the former king in his previous life. And this current version was just as senile and annoying. She also took care of killing the St. John's. After all the father was a warmonger who got too close to discovering the Chaos Emeralds which were sealed away in the towers. And the child would likely become a problem later on. Considering he attempted to use magic on her.

"Sir!" A security guard spoke up from the comms. "It's time to leave for the meeting." Kagemusha opened the door and thanks the guard before leaving to the RRF train station alongside Kagami and Saitou. As the trio head to Mycellstein's convention center. A large circular building at the top of the complex.

As the trio left from the train station towards the SciCon or Science Convention with Saitou was talking about the fact that Ashtamangala was on vacation in Planet Sonata as he sent pictures of the instrumental tour he was on. Passing by Nagisa Momoe who was heading to a group of patisseries where they headed to the cheese maker convention next door. At this time Monika and Lepard were part of their group. But Monika wasn't a real fan of these places and Lepard preferred to stay in Castle Blade serving as a caretaker and guardian unless otherwise. So the duo isn't on the world. In fact Kagemusha only went to the convention because Monika was going to reveal something important and because Monika chided her repeatedly about interacting with other people. And while Kagemusha was annoyed. She went anyway. Besides her two teammates don't really know of her past. And just like everyone else believe that he was built to be the Reibai's decisive super weapon during the magical girl war.

Reitu lunar fortress

It was just another quiet day for the crew of the observation bridge as two of the guards were staring at space while a third one was busy brewing coffee. "Why do we have to do this job?" One of the guards complained as the trio watched over the sensors. The other guard who is more straight laced reprimands his colleague as they are the first responders in case of a planetary invasion. To which the first guard just laughed. "An invasion of Reibai?! Don't make me laugh! The Reibai security fleet is second only to the Supreme admiral's Center defense forces and Captain Kagemusha's Burial fleet. No one is dumb enough to attack the homeworld of one of the founder races!" Both guards laughed until the third member wondered. "What if the Center forces attack?" Which led to dead silence among the trio as the third member continued. "I've heard rumors that Atlanta has been attempting to subvert our security for years now.

Suddenly a powerful beam cannon obliterated the moon. Slaughtering everyone in a split second as its remains were shot across the stars. With many fragments getting caught in the gravity well and crashing into the planet and the other moon. Leading to massive devastation as a massive castle on top of a giant asteroid decloaked and deployed armies of Suppressor class craft into the planet. Inside the castle. The Calamity Homun now in its human form smiled as her minions coordinated the battle.

Meanwhile the entire planet is in chaos as the environment is collapsing, and armies of monsters swarm the world killing everyone in their path. With news that both Neo Japan and the Yodda province were obliterated and the survivors being culled with no quarter. As the Windu province also falls under attack. Souta tries to get in contact with any fleets while Kagami and Kagemusha fight off a never ending horde alongside the military. Nagisa Momoe was fleeing alongside her friends. Only to be obliterated by the particle stream of a hunter drone before it was shot down by anti air rockets.

"We need to retreat! Seriously! What the hell was the security fleet doing?!" Monika exclaimed only for Souta to remark. "It was sabotage. Sabotage from the capitol themselves." Which catches everyone off-guard as the scientist explained. "It seems a virus shut down the early warning systems. And every spaceport on Reibai has been sabotaged. And according to the IP. The virus came from the IFS senate building." "What?!" Kagami screamed in outrage as Souta attempted to open a communication only for the trio to be diverted to the feed of the senate chamber. Where they witness that every senator was murdered. With Barragan Natch dissolving the last remaining senator all the while Mami Tomoe watched. Then Barragan looked at the camera and stated. "Hello miss Ichijin. Have you come to give respects to your new king?" With an expression of bliss and satisfaction which angered Kagami even more. "As you can see. I am now in charge. I am the undisputed ruler of the Internal Fleet Systems. And as my decree I am ordering a purge of dissidents. I'm sure you've noticed so yes. I had your security sabotaged. I was responsible for leaking the location of the Great Calamity. And it was because of me that Oriko and Touka turned traitor. After all I killed Kirika and Nemu!" "You boney bastard! You'll pay for this!" Kagami screams as Barragan laughs. "No, I won't. Because you will all die. Like the stupid idealists that you are!" The feed is then cut off as more explosions are heard and more people are killed around them. Complete with the sight of a small girl who is consumed by a fireball as Skullraisers storm the pavilion much to everyone's horror.

Amidst the chaos Kagemusha stands still as if time has stopped around her. And once again the voice of Madoka Kaname rings in her mind. "I love you Homura-chan... Even if you were to become a demon. I would still love you." Kagemusha's hatred flares upon revisiting those memories as she mutters. "Mind your own business..." And as if a miracle happened all of the enemies and invaders were obliterated in an instant. From what an outsider could recognize Kagemusha had annihilated the entire cultist force that was on the planet Reibai in a single second reducing them to dust before shooting up into space. "You stupid bitch!" Straight into the enemy castle's path.

As everyone is wondering what the hell happened. Kagami grabs Souta and tells him. "We need to go." Souta silently nods as the two make their escape.

Inside Calamity castle Homura and her minions are witnessing all that is going on when Touka Satomi notices that all of their dudes are dead to which Homura orders that the planet busting super laser be readied. As Touka readied the defenses Homura cackled in glee. "Even you can't stop this!" As she notices Kagemusha fighting off her army and demolishing pyramid ships. Ordering Kuro to slow their enemy down. Kuro herself is hesitant as she still remembers the many beatings that she got during the war. Which Touka snuffed off claiming that the Circe driver she developed will let her win. Causing the hooded girl to begrudgingly leave to fight.

As Kagemusha finishes the last mooks. Kuro now transformed into Damocles. A formed designed for firepower. Having a large satellite helmet for a head, an armored right arm docked with the Kuro cannon, a sizable and detachable satellite laser for an arm cannon and armored legs with missile launcher pods. As Kuro charges her laser with the sensor systems in her head and chest aiding in targeting and energy management. She fires a potent microwave laser while screaming. "BITCHES LOVE CANNONS!" That Kagemusha easily backhands the beam with consumes Kuro's lower body causing the missiles to explode. Obliterating her legs and causing her to careen into outer space. All while the other cycle cultists watched. Homura simply tells Oriko to go and then threatens to kill her when she refuses. So the former magical girl and senator transforms into Oracle and goes off.

Oriko cockily tried to fight Kagemusha head on. Overwhelming her opponent with a barrage of lasers coming from all sides. While Oriko bobs and weaves across the stars. "We have spent years studying you! And the results of that is me! I was hand crafted to destroy you! My speed! My power! Unrivaled! I. AM. A. DEMIGOD!" Before Kagemusha's energy pulse consumes all of Oriko's bit's and then Oriko herself. Homura and Touka then watch as Kagemusha rips Oriko apart. "Welcome to epic meal time! I'm Boss sauce and tonight we are having a blond little demigoddess bitch!" All the while Oriko is screaming in pain while Touka muses. "How can we hear all of this noise in the first place? Aren't we in the middle of outer space? Which is a giant empty black vacuum of nothing? I mean, it just bugs me dude." Homura then screams. "Send out Kyubey!" Only for Kyubey who was also transformed to be unceremoniously shot down as well via a single punch to the face which destroys the incubator and send his pieces flying into the abyss.

Homura slams her chair and screams at Touka. "Fight the guy!" Touka responds with "So what about the laser?" To which Homura pulls out a gun and shoves it into the face of a little girl yelling. "I don't give a fuck!" Forcing Touka to transform into Genius. A bulky rust colored mechanical woman with spaceship and airman aesthetics and the ability to hover in the air. Touka also attempts to fight head on only to be slapped away into the distance while Kagemusha headed to the castle's bridge avoiding all the return fire before staring Homura in the face. A panicked devil presses the fire button on the super laser only for Kagemusha to blast the bridge. Causing a series of explosions through the castle and vaporizing Homura once more. Unfortunately the beam fired at the same time and both Planet Reibai and the Calamity Castle exploded in a double knock out. With Reibai being obliterated and most of Calamity castle in ruins. Leaving Kagemusha alone to grieve. Soon after she leaves. Eyes set on revenge against the people who allowed this to happen.

Meanwhile Touka flies back to the castle and reaches the secondary bridge and engine room. "Well this is a mess. At least there's enough power to go back." She then looks at a black blob wondering around the room and proceeds to grab it. "So this is the Calamity?" The Calamity roared back to which Touka smirked. "If you keep this up. You really will die. And that would be a problem for both of us. So sit down, shut up, and let me find a way to put you back together."

Meanwhile in Center

Barragan is overjoyed at the fact that the purge is going smoothly. As he twirks atop a throne made of corpses all while Mami bemoans caution. "You know sir. If there are any survivors. They will come for revenge." Barragan simply says. "That's what you're here for. Also this is Center! No one will dare retaliate!" Suddenly alarm blares scream out as the fleet reports an enemy attack. And who the enemy is. "So, the traitor killer is here." Barragan remarks noting Kagemusha's nom de guerre. Which she gained after Animus Gorge. "I guess all the rumors are true and he really is too angry to die." Mami simply grins and notes. "Not for long..." as she takes her leave. "After all this time. I finally have a chance for revenge. This time Akemi-san. You will die."

Mami orders for the entire fleet to launch. A fleet of 10,000 vessels each separated into three security rings. Each with its own reserve and support forces were all sent towards the capital's upper orbit and sent to fight Kagemusha. Of course the masked warrior defeated every enemy. Their fighters, waltzers, and whatever else they could throw all fell at the traitor killer's hand. For eight consecutive hours the one sided slaughter waged on. Just as Mami Tomoe planned. "Even you have limits Akemi-san." The blonde pondered. "I will simply wear you down. The fleet will make sure of that." Then Mami stood up from her chair and yelled. "Ready the Fuunsaki! I will be joining the battlefield!"

Ost: Gallant Char, Mobile suit Gundam

As Mami leaves in the Fuunsaki. Her personal Bird of prey which was painted in gold and has several modifications that make it superior to the Kirika and the General Martok. Where she is docking her transformed form with a special backpack weapons system known as the BWS Truesdale. A machine with a design that is a mix of the front of the METEOR system with the back of the Dendrobium Orchis. With speed and firepower designed to sink entire fleets and small enough to be carried by a human. Although enhanced and in Zero gravity environments. The Truesdale is considered the admiralty's trump card. And only admirals are allowed to use it. As the pit crew prepared to launch Mami she commented to herself. "Now Akemi-san. You will realize that you have limits. Especially when you go against Mami Tomoe!" As Mami readies the catapults systems and the lower bay door opens to begin her launch she notes. "Musketeer. Mami Tomoe, launching!" As the linear catapult energizes and magnetizes. Launching the yellow magical girl like if it was a railgun as she punched the thrusters forward as green particles rocketed from the verniers letting her streak thru the sky as a glowing green streak of light.

Meanwhile Kagemusha continued cleaning house as the frustrated captain order that all ships fire their superlasers regardless of the damage. Of course Kagemusha dodges the barrage while several smaller vessels are obliterated in the crossfire. A pair of Waltzers try to intercept but are swiftly bisected as Kagemusha rocketed to the bridge of the Regulus. A flying whale class battlefield pulls out a gun and with green glowing eyes reminiscent of a Gundam. Pulls the trigger destroying the bridge and sinking the ship with several shots to the bridge, bow, and engines before going to town on what's left. Then the remaining ships tried to broadside Kagemusha but to no avail as she shoots up the nearest whale class, the Nazca. Grabs the hull and manages to lunge it into the Columbine with both ship careening into the planet. Crashing into the planetary shield and exploding. Before using her full power used telekinesis to fling the remaining five whales into the barrier as well. Overwhelming the power stations as the mile long battleships collide on the same spot where the Nazca and Columbine crashed. Causing them to explode wrecking quite a few buildings. And shutting down the planetary shield in a massive chain reaction.

After stopping for a minute to catch her breath. Kagemusha is forced to quickly dodge a series of high powered beams as Mami rocketed towards her. Firing off a barrage of missiles which were all shot down via energy wave. Mami switches tactics and uses the Truesdale's twin mega launchers secondary function which create massive beam blades which are used to attack the masked woman. After several dodges Kagemusha grabs both beams and demands to know. "Why are you doing this?" To which Mami replies. "Revenge. You took everything from me and now I will kill you. Homura Akemi." Kagemusha is shocked at hearing that name which lets Mami power thru the clash and batter her with the building sized swords repeatedly. "If it means destroying you aliens. Then I will sell my soul to the devil!" Then Mami punches her boosters until she crashes into Kagemusha and activates her warp drive. Taking both of them off the system.

As the duo travels thru the warp. Mami tries to crush her opponent with her twin cannons. Only for a furious Kagemusha to push them back and then blow them up. Then boosting towards the magical girl to punch her in the face and gut. And as the two exit the warp and find themselves in the exact center of the milky way galaxy. The two are having a brutal punch out amidst the orbit of a super massive black hole. With the two fighting the gravitational pull while trying to kill each other. Mami then launched the Truesdale's funnels to harass Kagemusha as the launched a pair of multi missile rockets which deployed 400 mini missiles each before crashing and exploding as Mami continued her rant. "But now it's fine. Once you die. I can be with Nagisa again." "Nagisa?! That's what this was all about?!" Kagemusha screams as she uses her gun to shoot down the funnels and dodge the missiles. The latter of whom end up being homing. Forcing Kagemusha to rush onto Mami before dodging at the last second which caused the missiles to hit Mami directly. Ruining the Truesdale which was abandoned as it was sucked up by the black hole. As both drew their weapons and continued to fight. First with guns and then with swords. A blaster and katana for Kagemusha. And muskets alongside an estoc for Mami.

"Nagisa died! She was on Reibai and she was murdered by the Calamity Homun!" "Which is you Akemi! Don't play dumb! I know you are that witch's nobody! That you hid your identity! Your past! And even your gender! Just so you can ruin my life!" "Homura is dead! I killed her! Tsurugi Kagemusha of the Ichijin clan IS my name now! And if you plan to betray us! Then I will kill you!" The two then clashed with their swords. Using the gravity to their advantage as the danced across the heavens. Kagemusha manages to get behind Mami and attempts to go for the kill. "This is the range I excel in!" Only to be tied up in ribbons again which causes Mami to laugh. "How does it feel to fall for the same trap three times now?!" Kagemusha smiles behind her helmet and simply says. "Still the same as always huh?" As Kagemusha ignites the binding. Burning them to ash as she breaks free. Something that leaves Mami stunned and open as Kagemusha stabs her sword straight thru Mami's heart. "You gloat to much." Leaving Mami gasping for air as Kagemusha looks visibly exhausted. Even with a helmet that hides her entire head. As Mami floats off something stops her fall as nuclear missiles strike an unaware Kagemusha. A VK-1 Nutcracker piloted by Redips, the IFS dedicated missile boat fighter flies to save Mami while barraging Kagemusha with its nuclear payload. Once the robot unleashes its payload of four 9 nine tube launchers. All equipped with miniaturized Hydrogen bombs which damage Kagemusha enough to fall unconscious as Repids fires the three heavy laser cannons on the ships nose to make sure that Kagemusha gets caught in the event horizon before rescuing Mami and warping to safety.

Inside the cramped cockpit Mami bemoans her loss. "Even after all this. I couldn't win." Redips merely replies. "What are you talking about? After all you killed Tsurugi Kagemusha. All by yourself." Mami looks on in shock as Redips nonchalantly explains. "While it is tragic that your men were all sacrificed. Now we can safely conclude that you are the strongest magical girl in space." Mami shocked and confused with it all. "But, what about?" Redips coldly states. "Witnesses? They will be shut up soon enough. As for Nagisa, do not worry. As long as you do what we say. We can always clone her." Furiously Mami tries to stop Redips by force. Only to be electrocuted into submission by the armlet that holds her soul gem. "Don't forget mischling. That Puella register that is bound to your arm. Not only stops you from becoming a witch. But it also serves as a kill switch to any Puella magi that kept their wishes. And since giving up your wish would mean death. For you and those girls." The sheer coldness of her so called assistant left Mami stunned. The former didn't care and as they returned to the capital stated. "Now, don't forget to smile. After all the heroine of the republic must always look photogenic."

Meanwhile Kagemusha was swept away into the black hole. Being spagettified and consumed by Sagittarius A*. The supermassive black hole in the center of the galaxy. But even through all of that her will refused to submit remaining conscious thru it all. And thus was eventually spat out from a white hole. Forced to drift in space until a ship picked her body up. As for the purge continued until the loyalist remnants were forced to scatter and prepare for war. The Kristallnacht has begun. As the IFS collapsed into civil war, Barragan and his oligarchs celebrated as their long planned takeover was a success. History will come to know this day. As the beginning of the end. As the start of the Space Dark age. But that is a story for another time.

May 6 s.h. 8923, SDF Macross Frontier

Kagemusha finally wakes up sprawled in the back of a food stall. As she gets up she is met by a familiar young girl in a chef's uniform. "You're awake mister?" "You... You're Michiru Kazusa?" The girl looks surprised but corrects the stranger. "Oh, you must be referring to my original. I'm Kazumi! Kazumi Subaru!" And then offers Kagemusha a plate of her famous strawberry risotto while giving a warm smile. Something that took Kagemusha off-guard as she takes the plate and takes a bite. "Its good..."

The entire persona of Tsurugi Kagemusha is basically one giant coping mechanism for Homura in order to deal with her PTSD. As well as to distinguish herself from Moemura and Homurambo and Homun the arch heretic. (Which are the canon nicknames for those stages in-universe.) Which are her other three major personas during her life. Essentially trading out being a Darth Vader clone for the trappings of a Char clone. With her robotic arm being symbolic much like Vader's cybernetics after being burnt of Mustafar.

Club Blue star is very much an homage to the Gundam Valhalla theory as well as a joke.

Kazamatsuri syndrome is another reference. This one to Disgaea 4 and Fuka Kamatsuri. A little girl in a prinny suit that can fight demons on even footing because of her severe delusions that allow her to break common sense. So Kazamatsuri syndrome is a delusion powerful enough that it can affect reality on a fundamental level. And a key precept for magical theory.
