Oniyuri Part 2

In Schnee Manor, no one has been allowed to enter since the Afterparty Incident. But once Jacques found out about something else, it made his blood boiled. "What?! My own daughter escaped the lockdown, and you helped her?!" He shouted. Klein stood in front of him, unafraid of the tyrant's wrath.
Klein would've reported to Winter about the incident, of course there was nothing he can do even if he said a word. Even if Jacques went to prison, he would get away with his crimes time and again to save face. This time, Jacques might eventually get a taste of losing.
"She has every right to leave after you disinherit her rights to the company, and you have the nerve to lock away your own children in this very place!" Klein responded. He was aware of the risk of getting fired or being arrested for helping Weiss escaped. Jacques slammed his fist on his desk. "Useless! Every last one of them! First Winter and now Weiss! Worst of all, that lawyer's son became the last straw! I will have him and his mother hunted down if that's the last thing I'll do!"
"May I remind you that your actions are the reason the White Fang is hunting you down? Had you have any shame and remorse, these events could've been prevented. Master Nicholas would be ashamed for welcoming you in the family if he were here today." Klein said, knowing those mistakes that Jacques always blamed on everyone else, including his own children.
"First your own daughters, and what's next, your own son? I cannot help but feel sorry for Master Whitley. Now you're making him the target of the White Fang." Klein said. As snobby as Whitley was, Klein still cared for his employer's son, as much as he cares for Weiss and Winter as if they were his own and does his best to keep him company since his parents never paid attention to him much.
Jacques cannot take any words that feel wrong to him. First, two out of three of his children had wronged him (which is due to his actions that drove his own family out). And now one of his employees helped his second-borne child escaped. But since he has Whitley, there was no point of replacement.
"Get out of my sight and never set foot on this mansion again." Jacques told Klein. The former then left the office without saying a word. Unbeknownst to him, Whitley was listening the entire time. He cannot believe what he was hearing, his own sister had finally left. He thought he would be happy about being an heir and his father giving him the attention he wants. But in the end, he was slowly becoming his own father, but Whitley wants none of it.
None of that made him happy. It hurt him to see everyone leaving him. Even Klein, who supported him when his parents were never around. Even his own mother cannot look at him.
When Klein packed up his luggage and gets ready to leave. Whitley stops him to speak to him, one last time. "Klein, a word please. It won't take long." He asked. Klein turned to him, ready to listen to him before making his leave.
"Of course, Master Whitley. What is it that you need?"
"I have to ask, were my sisters' right to leave? What is it that they chose to revoke everything they stand for?" Whitley asked, questioning the way his father runs things and doubts about his honor.
"To be fair, Master Whitley. It may be their legacy to run, but it is also their choice to see the ways of their own lives."
"But with that, it was as if no one will ever want to see me either. I think I remind them of our father. Weiss, Winter. I don't know if they ever cared." Whitely said. "Even Mother cannot look at me. Did I ask for any of this?"
"That has to be up to you to answer, Whitley. While you may not have the skills of a huntsmen, I know you have a gift of economics and have some ideas to engineer, including your computer skills. But the reason your sisters chose to become huntsmen, was because they see the world as it was. That is something you should see for yourself." Klein mentions. "Do not choose what you do not want just to please anyone. You have to think of what you want to do with your life. I'm sure your grandfather would want you to choose as well."
Whitley took thought of this. Now he wants to understand his sisters better in order to see them again. Winter is most forgiving despite her scary appearance. But respects her in a way. Weiss is not the kind to forgive quickly, but felt like he needs to talk to her and explain his side of the story. After the betrayal he put her through.
"The next time you see your sisters. It's best you talk to them before it's too late. And you all have to hear each other. No matter what happens, you cannot forget about each other." Klein advised him.
"But I don't think either of my sisters will forgive me." Whitley became hesitant.
"You don't know that yet. Unless you speak to them." Klein said. Whitley nodded. "Thank you for everything, Klein. And I'm sorry." Whitley said, remorseful. Not wanting to see him go after everything. His father may be neglectful and full of himself, but took things too far.
"Nonsense, Master Whitley. We'll meet again whenever is necessary." Klein assures him. The heir nodded as the now former butler left the mansion. On his way out, he prays that Weiss makes it to Mistral safely. And wishes all three children of the Schnee Family well.
I hope all will be resolved in the end, Master Nicholas. I will pray that one day your family will come together again. But it will be up to the children from now on.
Though Whitley never talked to his grandfather much, he remembered the advise he had given him before his death.
"You have to remember that you don't have to repeat the mistakes our family makes. You and your sisters have to be the bigger people, and it doesn't mean to win. There is no winning or losing, you just need to find yourself."
It was a long time since he had remembers his words. He had regret not listening to him when Whitley was just focusing on winning. He had already lost sight of what was in front of him. His own mother and sisters. He felt like he already lost his family all because he wanted to prove his worth.
I thought I'd be happy, but not like this.
Whitley went to the gardens to see his mother drinking. It pained him to see his own mother drowning into alcoholism. Now he has to stop her. A servant turned to him.
"Master Whitley, your father requested your presence." Said the servant bowing to his master.
"Okay, thank you. But before I go. Make sure you throw away every wine and alcohol from the cellar. And don't tell this to my father, or my mother. If anyone asked, the wine is tainted." Whitley ordered. The servant bowed in response of obedience. "At once, sir." That order would have to at least save his mother from passing out on the drinks. And saving her from death. Hoping this would stop killing her mental health and have a talk with her later without his father noticing.
-Kuo Kuana-
With the meeting in place, Sienna Khan revealed herself. She is a tiger faunus wearing the garb of the White Fang, but unlike most others, she didn't wear a mask. Most of the members are giving Blake the looks, having been known for being a defective member after enrolling into Beacon.
"It's been awhile, Sienna." Blake said. Sienna, through wary of Blake, remained civil and nodded. "I never thought you'd be there. But it's good to see you again." She replied. Sienna sat down near a table in front of Blake, Sun and Mi. While Ghira is present.
While Sienna may be a violent leader when it comes to making a name for her people, she still has regards for the well being of the other members.
"I have to admit though. Leaving the White Fang is something I regret at times." Sienna did not seem bothered for why Blake left the organization. Sun was still glaring at her because of the activities they had been doing. Even as far as to not check around for a splinter cell group.
"Actually. I hoped you did." Sienna admits. Blake blinked as her ears flicked up in surprise. Knowing Khan, she doesn't take things lightly when things didn't go as planned. Thinking she might still be angry about the heist she and Adam were previously assigned to before abandoning the group.
"Is that so? I am sure you are aware for why I left." Blake adds.
"Actually. While I am aware for why you left. I took this to a new perspective. Although you prevented the heist on one of the Schnee Cargos, perhaps you were onto something." Sienna said.
"With you enrolling to Beacon, it might make a difference with you representing Menagerie as a student." Sienna adds. "Therefore, it might be of use for a new age of the White Fang. Cause before, we were looked at with fear. But you showed us differently." She said.
Sun wasn't sure what to think. "Actually. That's what we're for. You have any chance you know that Taurus was responsible for the attack on Beacon?" Blake have Sun a light glare, causing him to feel sheepish.
"It's fine. It comes to my attention that although Adam is a top combatant in our organization, we can agree on the fact that there was a splinter cell group we're not made aware of. However, for Adam to be part of this topic is a big accusation."
"Seriously! That psycho cut off someone's..." Sun tries to protest, but Blake held her hand up to reprimand him from making the situation difficult. Since Blake is the chieftain's daughter, he cannot make things worse as it already was in the Fall of Beacon.
"Do you also know about Cinder Fall?" Asked Blake. "I believe that despite the fact that Adam isn't the type to work with humans. I think he made a deal with her in order to bring Beacon to a rubble."
"I know nothing about this Cinder. But if she was as dangerous as you claimed this person to be, I cannot tolerate this. Although the White Fang were made to counter against oppression by force, we do not take those measures." Claimed Sienna.
"Then why aren't you doing anything about it? People, even the faunus were killed because of...well you. For the record, those masks are terrible! If this is how you saw us to be, then you were no different than..." Sun tries again.
"Sun!" Blake tried to reprimand him again. But Sun wasn't having it.
"No, Blake! He nearly killed any of us! He hurt you! And Yang, and everyone! What more does he want from us! Over what?! Some stupid vendetta he has never gotten over with?!" Sienna wasn't reacting to Sun's rage. She was listening. That's wasn't the Sienna Blake knew, cause she was young and repulsive at the time after joining the White Fang under Ghira's leadership. The only time Sienna was angry was when one of her men was hurt.
Sienna sighs as she heard enough to stand. She saw Adam having some potential for their own beliefs of giving the Faunus the freedom and independence they deserve. But after hearing how far Adam has gotten, she doesn't have a choice but to investigate.
"I can understand your rage about the events, young man." Sienna said. But then Mi got behind her. "Watch out!" As Mi used her Naginata to deflect two shurikens aimed at the High Leader and saw one of her own trying to escape. Blake then rushed towards the traitor and used her ribbon to apprehend him.
Sienna wasn't surprised that she is aware that there are remnants trying to turn on her.
Two of the White Fang members then took the traitor away. This comes to show that the splinter cell was still active in order to take out Sienna.
"Thank you." Was all Sienna can say to Mi. Mi bowed in response.
"I know the White Fang have different beliefs. But in a way, I know as a leader, you have your values for your people." Mi stated. She can understand that Sienna has her reasons, but not the right of way.
"It's official. Taurus has lost his mind." Sun said. "Now do you see it? What those jerks were doing?"
"Sun, that's enough." Blake said after walking back to their side. "Sorry about this." She said to her former comrade.
"He is right. After what happened just now. I will have to check for any of the traitors working behind the doors. Meet me again tomorrow morning." Said Sienna.
"I look forward to speaking with you again, Sienna." Blake nodded. Sienna then got up and turned to walk back into the HQ. It resembles a hit but much bigger.
"What now?" Asked Sun.
"We head back and recount on what happened today." Said Blake. "At least Sienna might be able to see through." But before they left, Blake turned to Sun.
"Sun..."
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for speaking out. But try to hold back your expression next time." Blake said, not to blame him for the commotion, but to let him know that sometimes he needs to know when to hold back some words. Sun felt bad, but at the same time, he was glad to speak for Blake.
"Sure, sorry about this." Sun said. Blake smiled and nods.
-Mistral-
Neptune was sleeping on the floor since he allows Weiss to use his bed to rest inside his apartment. But when he feels the wind blowing on his arms, this was enough to wake him. His eye opened when he sees Weiss is not on bed.
Worried, he gets up from the floor and checks in the living room to see the slide doors that lead to the balcony. He checked there, but didn't see her there.
He then sees a ladder next to the door outside. He climbs up to see Weiss gazing at the starry sky. With the solemn face. "Weiss?" He called softly as she turned around. "Hm?"
"You okay? I was checking up on you since you weren't in bed." Neptune said.
"I didn't mean to scare you like that." Weiss said.
"No, it's okay." Neptune joined her as he sat next to her ok the roof. "Sun and I used to hang out on a rooftop sometimes. It used to be fun." Neptune said. Weiss smiled.
"I used to gaze at the stars with my grandfather. After he passed away, I was mostly kept inside the house to study and train. It has been awhile since I looked at the sky." Said Weiss. It brought her happy memories when she would look at the stars with her grandfather.
"Is it alright if I stay with you until you get tired?" Asked Neptune, shyly. Weiss nods. With that, Neptune joins her in stargazing.
"I heard from my dad that the stars is where the deceased goes as their bodies turned to dust and become the stars. I wonder if Pluto was among them." Neptune said as he looks at the stars twinkling in the sky.
"That's what my grandfather thought as well. It is said that the stars are the Infinite and Unbound. After he left this world, the night sky is where I will look. Your brother, Pluto, what was he like?"
"My brother was a student of Haven before the rest of our siblings. Like my dad, he was a leader of his own team, but he wasn't competitive as anyone should be. And keeps Jupiter grounded every time he gets impulsive. He used to babysit kids, even me. So he's like a second dad."
"He sounds like a nice person." Weiss said.
"Yeah. Even if Jupiter doesn't like being reprimanded, Pluto means well for us. I mean, people are kinda afraid of him, probably because he has a face of a rogue. But once you get to know him, you'll realized he was cool." Neptune notes. And shows Weiss a picture of him from his scroll. Pluto does have a face of a rogue. Blue hair, but with dark streaks on his bangs. He even had eye colors of both his parents, one dark-blue on the right, and the left eye is lavender purple from his mother. But with a smile this friendly, Weiss can see why Neptune thought of the positive things from his own brother.
"Actually. The way you spoke of him, from what you see in your life, I think Pluto is more positive than what he appears to be." Weiss assured him. "He must love you and your family."
"Unfortunately, he didn't get the chance to graduate when he got killed. Sometimes I wonder what happened to him. I thought if I find out, it should bring my family closure. I didn't want revenge on the guy who killed him, I only wanted to find out, if I can't, then I'll try to move on for his sake. But Jupiter has a different case." Neptune explains his story about his eldest brother before his death. "What about you?"
Weiss felt the losses were too much. The feelings of such warmth and sadness kept growing in her heart. More she hears, the more emotional it gets. Neptune regrets saying too much to make Weiss' eyes watered. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to..."
"N-no, it's okay. I just missed him. My grandfather. He was the only one who hears me when my parents would not. And your brother, he is important to you...I just." Neptune then wraps his arms around her as they grieved together. Neptune's thoughts about Pluto also brought him into tears. The deaths of both loved ones were never forgotten. They wished to turn back time to spend time with them more. "Let it out, Weiss. When you grieve, I'll grieve with you. There's nothing wrong with missing someone." He said while breathing tearfully, while also in a calming manner. Weiss thought that her grandfather's ghost had led him to her. No longer feeling the shame of missing anyone they love.
Weiss rested her head on Neptune's chest for the more they grieve together. She now didn't have to hold back the grief she had long held. She is tired for putting up a cold face. They can be vulnerable to each other. Weiss thought her joy had died when her father revealed that he only married her mother for the fortune. But it was brought back with her times in Beacon, with friends, and her beloved.
"Why was it that we ran into each other since we met?" Weiss asked. Feeling it was fate that brought her to where she is now.
"Don't know, but I am happy it happened." Neptune replied as he held Weiss with all his heart. People thought love is a weakness. But the love the two have for each other grew, it made the both of them stronger, and more enlightened.
"Do you get the feeling like our lives has been written from time?" Weiss asked.
"Wish I have the answer, but I don't know."
How Neptune sees behind the mask of the ex-heiress. Determined, strong-willed and more focused, and a lot realistic than he realized. He admire Weiss for it. He won't care what everyone else says, Neptune promised himself to make things right for her. He felt like a fool for not being honest from the earlier start. But he has to try not to let fear get the best of him. It wasn't the fear of water that got to him. Rather the fear of losing his loved ones, and the fear of abandonment. As two of his brothers were gone, his two sisters, Juno and Vesta ignored him for being a reminder of Jupiter and Pluto. But Ceres was one of his sisters that still cared for him regardless of the flaws in their family.
"My brother and your father, they will never let us be. But it won't mean we will never fight back." Neptune said.
Weiss leans her face closer to his. Neptune does the same caressing her cheek. Missing each other in this moment. What they felt was a dream. A dream that became a reality, melting in each other's arms. Underneath the stars, Weiss' heart beats with the sight of his eyes. "That's all I wanted to hear. For now, let's have this moment, where it's ours." Weiss told him. Their lips pressed to each other, slowly and gentle. Weiss and Neptune broke from the kiss and looked at each other again. Weiss felt butterflies in her stomach as she sees his midnight eyes.
"I love you, you know that, right?" Weiss asked. Neptune leans to kiss her again. Then part from her. "I love you too, Weiss. You're everything to me the way you are. Don't forget that, okay?" Neptune meant it. Weiss nodded. The two continued to gaze at the sea of stars, feeling peaceful under the night sky. Flying in the wind were pedals of pale blue and white Juliet Roses as they watched, dancing like a gentle flurry of snow. One of the roses (without thorns) hit Neptune's eye, making him taken aback, and causing Weiss to laugh a little. Neptune blows the flower off his eye and placed it gently through her hair. Causing Weiss to blush red. But smiled in moment, they will never forget.
Unbeknownst to them, a female faunus wearing a black jumpsuit and having a fishing pole-like rapier in her hand takes off her Grimm Mask and spies on Weiss and Neptune from the of her next plan. "Finally. The Schnee line will be no more." Said the girl. Camouflaging from the woods and disappearing.
-Menagerie-
Blake, Sun and Mi returned to the Belladonna House in order to plan for the next day. After the incident involving Sienna, it is clear that she is not behind the plans of the Vale Invasion. But with the traitors' attempt on the High Leader, there were still remnants of the splinter cell group.
"We will have to watch out for more of the traitors in the White Fang organization." Blake said.
"Agreed. I will have to bring back on the event to my mother. I can request her to send in a guard to watch over the High Leader before any future attempts happened." Mi said as she got to her scroll to talk to her mother.
To Sun's curiosity, he noticed a portrait of a woman resembling Blake with black hair and amber eyes, only without the cat ears. And her hand holding a flower of a sword with an emblem of a Belladonna flower.
"You okay, Sun?" Asked Blake.
"That woman in the portrait. She looks like you." Jokingly, Sun made hand gestures about cat ears. "Only without the ears." Blake then turned to the painting Sun is facing.
"That would be my grandmother, Noctiri Belladonna. The founder and first chieftess of Menagerie. Before my father was born, she created a refuge for faunus kind to prevent future grudges between two species." Blake explains. "She had longed for the right moment when there will be a peace between human and faunus kind. Sadly, during one of her. But before then, she helped rebelled against harsh labors at the hands of terrorists. Even helped protect Mantle when nobody appreciates her. However, when my father was around 4, she was assassinated in one of the tribe meetings. No one knows who did it. Knowing that this bloodshed won't end, that's what drove my father to found the White Fang after being elected as Chieftain. In order to remind the faunus of my grandmother's legacy and but it didn't turned out as planned."
Sun sighs, he doesn't want to admit that it pains him that some people still have parents. Even if he has two relatives left in his mother's side, it didn't make Sun any happy (as he always appear to be) to have no mother or father. Neither of his relatives would tell him about his parents. Nor of his reason for existence.
"You're lucky." Said Sun. Blake blinked at him. "What?"
"Sorry, it's just that being around your parents kinda reminds me that I am missing some things when I was just a kid." Sun said.
"Was it that painful to you seeing me with my parents?" Blake asked. "The thing you're experiencing is a bit of jealousy and emptiness."
"I mostly feel the emptiest part." Sun joked but in an honest way.
"You used to be a cheery faunus. This is the first time I saw this side of you. What happened just now?" Blake points out. For some reason, Sun's heart feels too empty. Though filled with love, it was also full of questions than answers. Wondering if his own parents abandoned him.
"I don't know who my parents are. I was mostly raised by my aunt and cousin. But they never told me what happened to my mom and dad. I don't know if they ever cared about me. It's hard to feel vulnerable at a time like this. For some reason, I felt more stone than living. All I can remember were Grimm running around. But the rest is blurry." Sun explains.
"So, you don't remember what happened to them?" Blake asked. This comes to her understanding that Sun's humor was his way of coping with his questioning of his life.
"Not one bit. I was just a baby at the time." Sun sighs. Upset that his memories as a child were vivid. The last thing he remembers is a voice of a mother, held in a arms of a huntsman that rescued him from more Grimm. With the mother requesting the huntsman that her son was to be kept safe.
"I ended up in Vacuo. And there you have it, a guy with no parents, left with no answers, whatsoever." Sun felt the agony of being left purposeless. Seeing the kids his age having parents to tell their children of how proud they were, how much they love them and threw their arms around them. Sun wanted this from his real parents.
And it was too much to see Blake with her parents, but didn't have this against her. It's just those experiences he never had as a child. Of all his jokes and consequences, it was his way to get some attention.
"I'm sorry, Sun. I never thought that way. You always crack jokes and they are hilarious. But still, you were never good with opening up before." Blake said as she placed her hand on his shoulder. Sun wanted to cry right now but he has other plans. He grabbed Blake's hand and pulled her into the living room.
There, loads of flowers; cherry blossoms, roses and mixed bouquets were hanging on the book shelves Blake has for reading in the library.
"I just want to help you get over your worries for now and just enjoy the day. So I picked out a few flowers. I know you're not a fan of that, but try looking in the good side of things for now." Blake would surely be mad at him for covering too many flowers in the library, but was too flustered to see the beauty of the creative mess. Pedals rain down on them as Sun wraps his arm around her shoulder. She does not have the words to say it.
"Hey, got something for ya." Sun uses his tail to hold up a book of the sequel of the Ninjas of Love series. It's called: "Ninjas of Love: Double Shuriken." And hands it into her palm.
"The sequel of the Ninjas of Love series. I forgot those were released." Gasped Blake.
"Lady Belladonna, the papers were already mailed to us for..." Mi stepped inside the room to find flowers all over the room. Blake feels a hint of blush on her cheek.
"I'll come back later." Mi said as she left the room, only to grin at the sight of a scene she read in a romance novel, Ninjas of Love.
"This is like the scene from Ninjas of Love. How romantic." Mi blushed as she replayed the moment in her head of seeing Blake's astonishment and heartwarming moment. Imagining Ren doing the same with Nora in order for him to confess to her.
"I think I should advise Lie about using flowers all over the place for that confession." Mi giggled at the thought. Imagining Ren kneeling on one knee after presenting flowers all over the room speaking to Nora
"Nora, will you be my everything?"
"Yes, I will, Ren!"
With that imagination, Mi giggled again.
Later at night, Sun was asleep on the couch, cause he enjoyed looked at the night sky near the patio of the library room. That is until Sun feels his eyelids heavy. They kept closing the more he wanted to stay awake, worried that enemies might come inside to attack the Belladonnas. And he will make sure not to let any intruder inside.
But his eyelids seemed to be beating him to make him feel tired. Giving into defeat from exhaustion. As determined as he was, everyone needed sleep. He thought he can just sleep for a few minutes and then wake up to keep watch, unless he hears something.
Just as he fell asleep. He expects to have dreams, such as eating bananas. But instead, he dreamt of an unknown woman in blonde, he saw himself as an infant being in the arms of a huntsmen, just as he told Blake. It was not a dream, but a memory.
That memory woke him up with a shock. "Ah!" Sun wanted as he took deep breaths to calm down. "Huh? Just a dream. Maybe I was having too many bananas." Sun sighs. But then he feels the chill. But it wasn't an ordinary one, rather a strange one, enough to make Sun's spine shiver.
"Okay, this is just weird. It's supposed to be warm in the night. It can't be that chilly." Sun commented as he was waking towards the balcony, upon pass the doorway, he sees someone. Below the balcony was a young woman with short dark hair, pale skin and silver eyes. She resembles Ruby, but a bit older, and wears a white hood and cloak.
"Ruby?" Sun blinked as he rubbed his eyes and sees her gone. "No, that's can't be her." He said to himself. But before he returns to his sleep, there she is again, glowing. Sun stumbled back and fell on the floor. "Wah, oof!" He yelped.
He looks at the woman again. "Please, do not be afraid. I'm sorry for startling you, but you're the only one who can see me." Sun panted as the woman reached out her hand to him. Sun reached for it, only for his hand to phase through hers. "Huh? You a ghost?"
"In a way, yes. I need your help, and you're the only one I need to pass the message to my daughter."
"Daughter? Who are you talking about?! Who are you?!"
"Ruby."
"Ruby? What's that's got to do with her?" Sun wasn't sure the identity of the spirit he thought was just a figment of his imagination. But the way she talks of Ruby, she seems important to her than he realized.
"Salem is coming."
Sun gasped the next time he opens his eyes. It was morning, for when it seems time has rushed fast. He looks at the balcony to find the ghost of the silver-eyed woman gone. He cannot help but think the person he had spoken to was a relative to Ruby due to the resemblance and silver eyes they both shared. What if the dream was a warning? And who is Salem?
He wasn't sure if he needs to tell Blake of who he saw. But he can wait a bit until Blake has settled with the White Fang situation. He knew the next time he sees the spirit of the woman, he will need to speak to her again.
-Oniyuri-
Team RNJRSS regroup after another look around in Oniyuri. There was nothing, assuming the area is safe to camp for now. No sign of the Black Vipers present.
"Looks like we're clear for the night." Jaune said.
"We already got the firewood as promised." Said Nora.
Something about the area didn't feel right. Ren had been getting the feeling that someone is following them. As if the person was lurking at them. Readying to strike at them.
"I doubt it." Ren said. The others turned to him.
"You saw something, Ren?" Asked Ruby.
"No, I am getting the feeling we're being followed." He said. The suspense froze them as they were getting the strange feeling of fear and suspicion.
Sage so felt like something was up. Then Shoji began to bark loudly. Alarming the group. Sage went to his wolf to calm him down. "Shoji, what's wrong?" That bark was a sign Sage knew well whenever danger is near. Wolves have good senses when something bad is coming.
"Is this how he reacts?" Asked Nora.
"Shoji must've felt that too." Sage pets Shoji to keep calming him. Shoji calmed down a little, but remained on vigilance with a little growl.
Ren can feel movement of not one. But more for around. Though he never shows much, the fear for the safety of his friends is what causes him to be on the urge of a lookout.
Jaune and Ruby, looked around. Then a dark blur zips at them. The attack was meant for Ruby, but Jaune defends her with his shield.
He was a man with pale skin and brown cloak. His eyes that looked hungry for blood. Ruby shoots her sniper at the assailant to stop him, but his agility was proven fast, meaning he has been experienced. But the type of speed they saw was that of an assassin.
"An assassin!" Sage yelled. Shoji barked as he charged at the killer. "Shoji, no!" Sage called, worried for his pet. Shoji jumped on the killer's back and bites on his shoulder. The assailant then used his tail to drive the wolf off. Thankfully the stinger didn't get to Shoji as he managed to jump off before it hits.
Sage ran to Shoji's side. Ren also uses his bow and arrow to shoot at the assassin, but he uses his wrist blades to deflect them and swings. His cloak fell off, he is a scorpion faunus.
Nora was next to charge at the assassins, but he backflips to dodge her swipes of her hammer. He then held out his wrist blade as Nora deflects them, until she pins the ground and the faunus dodged her.
"Finally, I found you." The faunus eyes on Ruby as he laughs maniacally. "
"Who are you and what do you want?!" Jaune fences his blade at Tyrian to keep him away from his friends. For some reason, Ruby was the main target and stood by her side. Making sure the assassin didn't go anywhere near her. Whatever the reason, it might have something to do with Cinder, or he could be a member of the White Fang. The assassin dodged as he leap back and deflected his double bladed sword combined with the shield. Scarlet then grabs his pistol and grapples onto a nearby wall and uses it to kick the assassin. Then dashes towards him while avoiding the sting of his tail.
"I am Tyrian..." Sage then attacks from the back as he has to take him down for some answers. Slashing his sword upwards as Shoji attacks again. Ruby then spirals sideways with her scythe while also dodging wrist blades and she shifted on the rooftop and then landed next to her group.
"And I for one needed to obtain the silver-eyed girl as a trophy for our goddess!" Tyrian bowed, in a boastful manner. In Sage's perspective. He sees the eyes of nightmares that is enough to frightened them at night. Like he was more inhumane than a human and a faunus alike. He then eyes on his tail, it was glowing in purple. And that includes his arms.
It looks like he has a trick under his sleeve. I got to figure what it is. For now, we have to fend off.
Sage took note of this and gets into a fencing position and dashes at him and spinning his blade. But once Tyrian slashed his blade on his sides, Sage notices his aura flickering down. And felt like the strike had depleted the aura. But it didn't take all of it as it was just one slash. "Who was it?! Cinder?!" Ruby demands. Tyrian rushes as her again. Ruby then uses her sniper to boost her speed and slides down on the ground and counters against Tyrian again. He swings his tail at the girl, but she speeds off to avoid contact with the possibility of poison.
Ren then fire his twin pistol blades, by making a twirl and kicks Tyrian by the abdomen to overpower him. But by focusing on targeting Ruby, he tried again to get her for his liege. But then a blur has came to their aid. It was a woman, orange hair and lime eyes, similar to Sage's. Those same eyes Ruby was familiar with, but she cannot remembered who she is. She wears armor plates over her chest and shoulders with a hood covering, and a face mask covering her mouth so that her face would not be recognized.
The woman then looked at Ruby, a sense of familiarity was still yet to come. She could be one of the last huntresses in Mistral that survived one of the attacks. The warrior of mystery then turned to Tyrian.
"Another one of Salem's puppets coming to hunt." The warrior snarled. "First you killed my fellow huntsmen. Then you have the nerve to targeting children. You are as soulless as her." She retorted.
"Salem? Who is that?!" Nora asked. Wondering who the huntress is.
"Well, well, the traitor has come to play."
"Traitor? You two bloody know each other?!" Scarlet yelled. The mysterious warrioress and Tyrian took a stance on a stand-off against each other and charged towards one another.
To be continued...
Author's note: Sun sees Summer's spirit, and she went to him because she has to warn Ruby through one of her friends about Salem and the incoming wars she will wage against every kingdom in Remnant.
Sorry for the long wait. Enjoy the chapter, part 3 might have to be in development.
