Konoha : hokage tower
Minato sighed as he listened to his son about another one of his complaints. Why was he complaining? You might ask well because of the chor- D Rank missions that he and his team were doing for the past month.
Minato looked at his son teammate's face and could tell that they agreed with his son, they just didn't voice it.
He snapped out of it when he heard iruka slam both his hands and yell at naruto " Naruto he is your father and the hokage show him some respect."
"I will show him respect when he gives me a proper mission instead of cho…" Naruto was cut off when his Sensei Kakashi's fist slammed into his head making Naruto head first Into floor of the mission
"Sorry Minato sensei for his behavior." Kakashi Apologize while his hand scratched his head
Minato chuckled, "It's alright, Kakashi Kushina was the same when we started out."
Naruto got back from the hit. He was rubbing his head from the pain. He glared at his Sensei and then turned to his father. "I am telling mom you said that dad." His father chuckled and he continued "Come on dad these chores are a waste. We were the top at the academy."
It was true that he was second in the academy while Sasuke was first because of his grades. While his grade wasn't the best. While Sakura was only top kunoichi
Because of her grade.
Personally Hinata deserved that title in his opinion but he was not the one that handled the title. No it was not because he had a crush. It was most certainly not. She was just a hard worker.
He saw his father have a thinking face whenever he thought of something. Then his father sighed "fine."
Iruka looked at his father with shock. And begin to protest "lord forth they barely have any experience." He was going to say more but Minato cut him off "enough iruka. While I agree they don't have the experience. They won't get the necessary experience that they need." Minato then looked at team 7 "fine you want a mission here one." He looked at team 7. His son had a look of excitement and his teammate's had a look of indifferent or worried.
Minato pull out pipers of C-rank missions looking at them. Most of them were being done already except for the one in wave country.
"Here's one that came in this morning." He then began telling them the details. "You have to escort a master bridge builder to wave country."
"Yes" Naruto jumped and yelled before he got hit by his Sensei again
Minato Laugh a bit at before he got someone to get the bridge builder
Five minutes later the man he sent to get the bridge builder
Team seven look to see their client to be a middle age man wearing dark brown clothes with a straw hat. He looked over to team seven "What a bunch of brats are supposed to protect me."
This of course annoyed Sakura and Sasuke and Naruto well " What was that you drunkard, I'll kick your ass." Naruto was about to move before his Sensei hit him in the back off the head
Naruto rubbed his head in pain. He looked at his Sensei and exclaimed "What was that for Kakashi-teme"
"We can't harm the client Naruto." Explained Kakashi Naruto was about to respond before they heard a cough. The bridge builder and team seven and their Sensei looked at the hokage.
Now that Minato had their attention he started " now then with that out of the way.I would like you to meet my son teammate's and there Sensei" He said looking at builder face
The builder's face looked startled when he said the son part.
Minato continued "now that you know who is protecting you. Why don't you introduce yourself."
The builder's face went to a sober look and said " My name Tazuna and I am a master bridge builder for wave country and I expect you to defend me with your life." Tazuna finish
Minato listened to the bridge builder and noted that he was being literal with the 'defended him to the death part'. He then looked at his son's teammate's face and saw a conflicting look on their face at that He then coughed that got their attention. " Now that's out of the way. Why don't you all get going and get prepared to get going in one hour."
They all nodded and they went home to get ready. "Kakashi, can you come with me to my office for a minute?" Kakashi turned around and nodded.
Naruto stopped and looked at his father as his teammate's went home to get their stuff for the mission. "Dad, is something wrong." Minato shaking his head "Nothing is wrong Naruto go home and get ready." Naruto looked conflicted and was about to ask again but Kakashi interrupted "Naruto go get ready it will be ok." Naruto nodded but still had a look on his face.
They watched him go. Minato sighed as he got up from his desk and walked next to Kakashi "Thank Kakashi." Minato said while they left the mission commission room
Kakashi looked at his Sensei/second father "no problem Sensei" said Kakashi as they walked through the hall of the hokage tower until they reached the hokage office and were greeted by stacks of paperwork. Minato let out a sigh at the sight of every leader enemy.
Minato went to his desk and sat on his chair and put the stacks of paperwork to the side. He then looked at Kakashi.
"Is there some wrong Minato sensei" Kakashi asked
"No no I just " Minato stopped to think of something but Kakashi interrupted him
"Don't worry Minato Sensei I will protect them with." Kakashi said
Minato sighed "I know you will but be the look out for something about what the Client said bugged me."
Kakashi nodded, "yeah the ' Protect him with their lives' seems a bit too much don't you think."
Minato nodded "be on the lookout for anything?"
Kakashi nodded and went to prepare for the mission.
Minato sighed as he went back to work on paper work. He hoped that he was not being paranoid.
The Namikaze household
Naruto was excited to finally be going on a mission in Instead of spending time doing chores from the village. He didn't care about what his father or Kakashi Sensei said. All the D rank missions were just chores in his Opinion.
He grabbed the door open and Slammed it shut. Immediately rushed to his room to prepare.
Kushina was cooking in the kitchen then she heard the door open and shut. She sensed it was naruto. But that confused her. Normally when he was done with the D Rank mission he'd come to complain to her then he'd eat some of her home cooked Ramen.
She decided to look at what was Happening.
She went up the stairs and opened the door to see Naruto preparing for something
"Naruto sweetie, what are you doing?" Kushina asked as Naruto finally noticed her.
"Dad has finally given us a C Rank mission and we leave in about an hour." Said Naruto while he put his kunai pouch on his hip.
"You're going out on a C Rank mission." Kushina asked, looking worried. Ever since that day Hana has returned without her son. She would have nightmares of Naruto and Ray not returning from some mission.
She knows Naruto is ready for this life. She and Minato taught him how to defend him but she was still worried. What mother would not. After all, they prepared Hiroto and he was still killed. Sacrificing his own for someone he loved.
Naruto noticed his mother's face and saw that she was worried for him. After he Collected his things for the mission. He went and hugged her. He knows about the face that she was making. it when she thought about his big brother.
"Mom, it's going to be ok." Naruto said Trying to call his mother down
Kushina hugged him back gently. "I know it will be, but I am worried." She stopped for a moment but continued "I just don't want to lose y." Naruto Interrupted her "mom don't worry I will be fine. If anything happens I have Sasuke and Sakura and Kakashi Sensei." Said Naruto. Sasuke was about the same skill level as him. Not that he will ever admit it to anyone and Sakura excelled in Medical ninjutsu. To the point that granny tsunade thought about teaching her.
Kushina just sighed "I know but just be careful promise me that."
Naruto nodded and Kushina smiled and said " come now, the food is ready, you don't want to leave on an empty stomach don't you."
Naruto jumped in joy and ran down stairs while yelling "no sir dattebayo."
Kushina just shakes her head at Verbal tic. She goes down to the kitchen. Wonder what the future will bring.
Before she could follow him out over she heard him say " Dad said you complained about your rank d missions as well !?"
She gained a tick mark in her forehead. Since he promised her that he will never tell their children that. She would have to punish him later tonight.
3 days later land of wave
Naruto sighed as he went down the street of the Impoverished town
His first C Rank mission was a disaster. Why you must ask It's because their client lied about the nature of the mission. Everything went fine until they were attacked by 2 rogue ninjas From the village hidden in the mist.
Kakashi demanded an explanation from Tazuna. Tazuna explained the situation going on in the land of waves. It turns out that the land of waves is poor and some corporate jackass took over the place and has ruled the place ever since.
Then Tazuna went on some sob story about his grandson. Which the team
Readily Ignored.
This left a question should they continue the mission or go back to the village. They Decided to continue the mission. Everything went fine until they were at the land of waves. When they were walking towards Tazuna house.
They were ambushed by a A Rank missing nin by the name of zabuza momochi. While there Sensei while moving his headband up to reveal his Sharingan, told them to get back saying he was out of their League. They form a circle around Tazuna.
They watched as Kakashi and Zabuza Kakashi fought each other they were evenly matched but Zabuza had an Advantage when fighting in the water.
Then Zabuza tricked their Sensei with a water clone then trapped their Sensei in a water jutsu.
Where Naruto and Sasuke forced Zabuza to dodge. With their Sensei no longer trapped in the water jutsu.
Kakashi and zabuza began to go there hand seals and unleashed A massive water jutsu. The technique of both jonin clashed until Kakashi won out of the fact that zabuza was surprised that his opponent was able to copy his hand seal and water jutsu before he could finish his thought process.
Zabuza was hit with the water jutsu and Was sent flying through a tree? With the fight now over Kakashi went to finish Zabuza was hit with senbon in the neck which ended up killing him.
Apparently there was a hunter nin. Is what Kakashi Sensei called him that was tracking him down and thanked them. The hunter nin thanked them before he vanished with the corpse.
They were about to celebrate but there was a thud noise behind them they saw Kakashi on one leg and panting Heavily they ran to his side. They asked him what Wrong.
He said that he expended more chakra than he thought. He then passed out of said chakra exhaustion. Then they had to drag his Sensei unconscious ass back to the bridge builder's home.
When they got there they were greeted by Tsunami Tazuna's daughter. She greeted them and welcomed them inside and gave them a room where they could lay him down.
Sakura treated him with her limited knowledge on medical ninjutsu. According to her he will be out for one day and will take a week to recover his strength.
When Kakashi woke up he said that Zabuza was alive. This of course stunned them. When they recovered from the shocking announcement they asked him why.
Then Kakashi explains that the hunter nin targets ninja that left their village and when the hunter nin eliminates the rogue nin they take apart the body so the secrets of the village stay hidden.
He then explained that the hunter nin used senbon that was good for precise attack instead of going for the overall kill shot.
According to Sakura, Kakashi will take a week to be at one hundred percent. Kakashi also thinks zabuza will take a week to get back in action.
Naruto sighed again. They have been training to prepare for Zabuza and his allies. He and Sasuke have been sparring almost constantly and practicing their ninjutsu whenever they can. While Sakura was reading her medical ninjutsu book in the meantime.
While they were Staying in Tazuna house. They meet his daughter and grandson. Tsunami was nice and polite. His grandson inari was a coward in his Naruto opinion. They argued about fighting or hiding. Then they avoided each other all too gather.
Then Inari's mother explained what happened when his father was killed when he fought back against Gato. Thus Naruto knew why Inari was the way he was. He was not sorry about what he said to him because he knew what it was like losing someone.
When she asked who he lost he said it was his brother. And then said that Inari was lucky he got to see his father one last time. Even if it was his execution. He didn't even seen his brother's corpse; it was believed it was destroyed when the boulders landed on him.
Was it rude to say that the boy was lucky seeing his father death in front of his very own eyes. Yes yes it was at least he got to say goodbye he didn't to his brother. All he had of his brother was the last memory that he will be back in two days.
What made it worse was when Ray was born one day later. They were going to surprise him with his new baby sister. Instead they got his brother's mission partner giving them the news. That his brother had been killed.
He would have continued with the thought if he hadn't bumped into someone. He and the person he bumped both stepped back.
"I'm sorry I was not looking." Naruto said while rubbing his face.
"No no it is my fault I don't see where I was looking." Said the Stranger
Naruto finally saw the man for him and to say he was tall was an understatement. 6.7 feet tall he had a Chiseled face that can make a woman fall for. He had black spikey hair that Kind of reminded him of his dad's hair and dark blue eyes. That all he can see from him since he a black clock around him.
At first he thought the man was one of Gato goons. But the people of the town didn't look at him fearfully.
One of the things his father taught him was to always pay attention to your surroundings. It helped him when he played his pranks around the village. Probably Wasn't his father's intention but his mother certainly got a kick out of it.
But what really made Naruto so odd was that the man was looking at him with shocked eyes before they went back to that dulled look. Did he know him from somewhere? Now that he thought about it. His face does look familiar. But from where.
In the same time and outside town with Hiroto
It's been 3 months since he returned to the elemental nations. Since the time has been back he was doing some digging on what was going with the elemental Nations. He quickly found out that the 3rd shinobi world was over with. In Which he was thankful because he knew what war did to a person. Know that the world was in a state of peace, well in a state of peace that the shinobi villages are in a sort of cold war with each other. Well that state of peace is something he could use.
He was busy doing some jobs and bounty hunting so he could have some funds for a rainy day. He has been setting up his little spy network in the land of fire so he could see threats to the hidden leaves.
He accomplished this by doing a job for the town leaders and befriending some bar owners in the land of fire. It was thanks to this. That he learned of orochimaru betray which if rumors were to believe was for immortality. Which pissed him off and that fact that he soon left the village as soon as his base hidden deep within the hokage mountain. Which wouldn't have been so bad if for the fact that he was experimenting with newborns.
So he went rogue when he was discovered and still at large in the elemental Nations. Hiroto wanted nothing more than to put a bullet to Orochimaru's head. He would have wanted to track orochimaru moments to try to locate him. now he was not a fool he knew he could not defeat orochimaru by himself. Even with his augmentations he needed more information.
The snake undoubtedly has the meaning of escaping death and according to his spy network the amount of desperate men that Orochimaru has would make his work harder than it needs to be. Know that's why he put orochimaru on his 'Deal with later list.' With that out of the way, time to deal with a small problem in the name of a certain short ceo.
Doing his first job he killed a group of bandits and missing nins and bandits he discovered that they were hired to raid some caravans by some guy named gato.
Apparently this guy owned a Major trading company and that was on the surface a shipping company. Under the surface use every dirty trick in the book to either bankrupt his competitors or hire missing ninja to threaten them or make them disappear.
But compared to the other thing that he needed to do i.e. getting information about the current climate of the shinobi world and to get up to date on events that had happened when he disappeared. Where was again oh right killing an asshole. That is why he put him on the 'Non Priority list to deal with 1st' list. That why his here now
Simply because he had nothing better to do that was important in the meantime.
He did found out that the chunin Exams are happening in 3 months in konoha. Which gives him a dilemma. Does he go konoha to see how it fared without him? He knew How it fared. He's just making excuses to go see his home. Look at the hokage mountain. To see his family. To see the person he loved.
There were times when he had free time even with this time and OIN. On how his family would react to his time in the UNSC. Would they call him a monster for what he did? That he killed thousands of Insurrectionists that were rebels against the only capable force that was capable of Holding back a force that was hellbent on destroying the human race for a miniscule amount of time. And what would Hana think? Would she still view him as the hokage son or would she call him a monster too.
Hiroto quickly shook his head out of those thoughts. He knew that they would never call him a monster. It was that damned thought process that he developed doing his time in ONI.
There was a reason he was a lone wolf doing his time with ONI. He just works better alone. That and he did not when people sacrificed their lives for him. Like what happened with noble team. Then the flashback of their deaths came back
Flashback jutsu
Hiroto just finished the last Covenant. He went to the pelican where George was. He saw that George was frustrated.
"Is something wrong?" He asked while putting his weapon on his back.
George sighed as he turned to him "I have good and bad news, take you pick?"
"Well good news then?" Hiroto asked
"Good new Everything's set and ready to go. The bad news is that the timer fried and it has to be manually done." Said George while moving towards him
Hiroto's eyes widened and said " that's a one way trip." As George grabs him.
"I know." Has he moved close to the force field that Kept everything from being sucked into the vacuum of space.
"There has to be another way." He tried to reason with him. As George stopped right at the force field.
George stopped " tell them to make it count." Has he dropped hiroto out of the force field
Flashback end jutsu
Hiroto grabbed this head in pain." Stop thinking about them." His brain didn't get the memo and a another memory
Flashback jutsu
Hiroto and noble team were running from the glassing beam shock wave as they got out of the elevator.
As they were, Carter and Cat were discussing what Holland gave them a mission back at sword base.
As they were running there a sound of broken glass. He looked and saw Cat down.
"Cat!" As he went down to check on her. He saw that there was a hole in her helmet. He looked up and saw a Phantom above them. He grabbed her pistol from her magnet strap. And begin to shot at the phantom
The others heard him yell and looked and saw Cat down. They moved back toward him and began to shoot at the phantom. One began to help him to get Cat's body out of where they were.
Flashback end
Hiroto quickly got his emotions under control. As to not remember the rest of their deaths. He stares up at the sky. Some time during these past three months he wondered if his team sacrificed Help achieve anything on reach. He wonders if there was other humanity as won or is still a live out there. Now was the time not to worry. He had a job to do.
He water ran to the island country because no boats wanted to come here because the docking cast was too high. Oh he is going to enjoy killing that little tard. Anyway he was on the outskirts of a town that looked like it's seen better days.
He sighed and went to enter the town.
In the town
Hiroto was wandering through the street and began to look for a place so he could get some information before he decides on the course of action.
He looked at the town he was currently going through. It looked like it has better day. With people trying to get by. He could see several people begging for food. The shops looked empty while some had little food on stock.
He all ready know what has happened to the land of waves. The head of the trading company Gato jacked up the prices to enter the damn place. essentially making the Damn place for traders to enter. Ow yes he's going to joy killing the bastard.
It wasn't until he bumped it to someone doing his thinking session. But what shocked him who was it that he bumped I'm to.
He was about twelve to thirteen years old. He had a mop of spiky blonde hair. He wore the brightest orange jumpsuit he has ever seen and the ugliest. He had bright blue eyes that seemed to go with the sky. And had three whiskers on each cheek. His konoha headband display proudly on his head
"Naruto!" He screamed in his head. What was his little brother doing in a place like this? Was he hired for some job in waves?
"Umm." Naruto said as he looked at the man staring intently at him
That caused Hiroto to focus and said " I'm sorry for bumping into you. I should have watch where I'm going."
Naruto laughed a bit "No I should have watched where I was going."
There was a silence before Naruto said " sorry about that but I have sometimes." He ran past the men.
Hiroto watched as his little brother ran past him before he began to gain some distinction from him. He made sure no one saw him. When the coast was cleared he jumped to the roof.
He looked at the direction his little brother went. The question was what was doing here.
Naruto POV
Naruto sighed as he entered the house where they will live. Temporarily until their mission is complete.
"I'm back with groceries." Said Naruto
Tsunami came down the stairs. "Aw thank you for getting the groceries once again."
Naruto scratched the back of his neck" No problem. Do you know where the rest of my team is?" He asked
Tsunami put her right pinger up to chin and thought. "I think you're sensei and Sasuke were training in the back while Sakura was in her room studying her book." Answer to Tsunami then see looked to see that Naruto was gone
When Naruto heard that Sasuke was training with Kakashi Sensei he bolted to the back. No way is that teme going to get of head of him
Meanwhile with Hiroto
Hiroto was in his full Spartan armor he was cloaking to avoid detection from far away. He assumed if someone was close to him they would see the ripples of the cloak.
Now you might be wondering where his armor got a cloak from. Apparently the monorator made some upgrades more than he thought. He discovered this when he was training with his new upgraded armor. He had every module from his time on reach. He wasn't going to question where the hell he got them from but he was not going to question it. But not Only that, but there was a system that he couldn't get into all that. All he got was it being downloaded? Whatever he had other stuff to worry about.
Now where was oh yah observing his was watching his brother train with helmet binoculars from a mile away so he could not be sensed in case. He was training a boy who he presumed to be Itachi's little brother. He had spiked black hair that looked like a duck's ass. He wore a high collar shirt that was blue with the Uchiha clan crest on the back and were black shorts and combat sandals.
Judging from what he was seeing they were good. He predicted that they were low chunin which was not surprising since they were trained from their families.
That made him somewhat sad as he was fighting intergalactic genocidal aliens. His family mourned his death.
Before he could get into more depressing thoughts someone came out of the backyard door. It was a girl. She had pink hair that went to her down to her middle of her back. She had the konoha headband wore back of her head like an accessory. She wore a red jacket that extended to her knees while the side of the legs were exposed for movement.
Hiroto watched as she went to the boys. Hiroto assumed she was their teammate. He watched as the two boys finished their sparring match. Then he see the girl go over to them then hit his little brother for some reason.
He sighed as he got up from his position as he slipped spaced out of his armor. Now he had a dilemma on what to do. Should he go for gato and kill bastard? Or should he wait and watch his brother and teammates. He heard in town that they were protecting someone, a bridge builder, if he was remembering correctly. He did see a ginormous bridge when he was water running towards the island. He sighed and went back to the camp he made.
Phoenix emperor came back with the new Chapter of spartan return home. Some of you might be asking what took so long. Well it's because uhhhh. (Looks to the left and the right trying to think of an excuse.) Well I didn't have one. Recently I started another project. Not going to tell you what it is because it is a Secret and because I have two thousand words done already for it in 2 weeks. So yeah Excited for that one No idea how when a gonna release it but we will see. oh and the halo reach flash back were inaccurate I apologies it been a long time since i played reach. Oh and before I leave the The reason Hiroto Isn't going for gato now it's because of plot so yeah. The plot strikes again
