Harry Potter & The Ancient Potter Grimoire Chapter 2
A/N Hello everyone, before I even begin to start my story, I would like to make clear I do not own harry Potter, or any property in anyway shape or form relating to Warner Brothers and J.K Rowling. I would love any reviews and criticism, just no super harsh toxic energy because nobody really likes that. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I honestly hope you enjoy. P.S I know my grammar is awful and I am currently working on getting better I promise :D
I would also like to apologise for being super late in updating this story. I've had some major writing blocks and some mild health issues over the last few months. I have injured my ankle and foot again and now my injuries are a little worse then last time. I hope you guys love this update and I will try my hardest to push out more chapters more consistently.
Anyway, now to the story xD :D
Harry exited Slayertooth's office with the large warrior goblin behind him, locking his office with a wave of his hand they began to walk down a hallway, a few moments later Harry asked.
"Slayertooth, are the healers that Gringotts employs all Goblins? I have heard from different students at Hogwarts that Gringotts only employs fellow Goblins if possible and very rarely is a wizard/witch or a different type of magical creature is hired. I figured since I am with a high ranking employee you may know."
Slayertooth looked at the small child walking beside him and grunted in annoyance. "We do indeed hire many wizards and witches, many of our healers, curse breakers, warders and enchanters are non goblins."
Harry only nodded as they reached a large set of doors that looked like a silver wood with a metallic glow, the doors opened automatically as soon as they stepped in front of the entrance and walked up to a desk where a witch was working on some type of paperwork.
The witch at the front desk was scrambling to find a certain set of papers she misplaced earlier that morning, the sound of the front doors swinging open drew her undivided attention to the individuals that entered the hospital area of Gringotts, she gasped at seeing a senior bank accountant, one that was obviously very high up in the pecking order as he had the Potter family symbol on his clothing. The second individual was a young boy with a bad limp, his pace was much slower than the Senior Goblin's and assumed in her head that this was Harry Potter, the boy who lived. The two walked up the front desk and the receptionist witch bowed slightly.
"Good morning and welcome to the hospital area of Gringotts, how may I be of assistance?" the receptionist witch asked, standing straight up after the bow.
"Good morning to you as well, this young man is Harry Potter" Slayertooth gestured with his hand to his young companion. "He needs a full medical exam, he also has not had any of his magical vaccination shots. I would like our very best to work on him as he is one of our most important clients to Gringotts. Can you make this happen Miss Robertson?" Slayertooth asked with a tone that he will not personally accept any answer besides no.
Miss Robertson silently gulped and nodded her head quite quickly in nervousness. "I will personally make sure Mr. Potter will be attended to only by our best, I will escort him to our VIP room now if there is nothing else Sir."
Slayertooth shook his head and gently squeezed Harry's shoulder in good luck, before turning back around and exited the hospital. Harry slowly walked over to the receptionist, and they slowly walked deeper before the receptionist spoke abruptly.
"I hope this isn't to forward for me to say Mr. Potter but thank you for whatever you did as a baby and I'm very sorry for the loss for your parents. As a fellow orphan I feel like I can relate in someway to wanting to find out every detail you can about your parents, I hope you can find out everything you can about them." The receptionist spoke in a nervous tone and looked down at herself, wondering if her decision was the right one.
"Thank you for saying that Miss Robertson, nobody has really said that to me before. I'm always told how great my parents were, but I don't really know anything about them really, I know my dad was a chaser while he was in Hogwarts, but I don't know anything about my mom." Harry spoke in a sad tone and the receptionist squeezed his shoulder to try and cheer him up.
Harry waved goodbye to the friendly receptionist who had escorted him to the VIP section and pushed the door open and stepped inside. He was welcomed by several female goblins who all wore old muggle nursing outfits, with the old white vintage nursing hats. The nurses pretty much ordering poor Harry into a room and to strip to his underwear so he could be fitted into a hospital gown.
Harry was sent into the room and stripped down to his boxer briefs, immediately after that a white hospital gown was magically conjured onto him and he guessed it was due to elf magic. A few minutes later a female doctor walked into the room and smiled at him.
"Hello, Mr. Potter. My name is Brooke and I hear you have quite a list of injuries." A small blush appeared on Harry's cheeks in embarrassment from all of the attention he was receiving from the Doctor. Dr Brooke Sienberg pulled out her wand from her pocket and began to weave the wand around him, casting spells after spells silently and the frustration on her face intensified visible as day after every single spell she casted.
"Mr. Potter…" Brooke began to speak before Harry interrupting her with a sad smile.
"Please just call my Harry, you are my healer after all." Harry finished and Brooke gently squeezed his shoulders, and summoned over a chair silently with her wand that had a reddish colour tone to it. Brooke reached to the left of her and grabbed a clipboard with various scribbles and notes on it, with a purple quill attached.
"I'm afraid that I am going to have to ask you how you received all of your previous injuries and scars on your body, if my suspicions are current and you have been abused by any guardian I am magically inclined to report this to magical child services. I promise this is necessary as they will most likely help your situation." Brooke tried to reassure this young boy in front of her and smiled, Harry let out a deep sigh that he didn't realize he was holding in. Brooke took Harry's silence as a confirmation he was ready to begin and painfully Brooke had asked him about all the injuries and scars he had received in his life.
Twenty minutes later was when they had finished the questions and Brooke had let several tears escape from the corners of her eyes and tried to control her emotions by breathing in and out slowly.
"The knowledge your muggle guardians didn't feed you properly explains the malnourishment that was listed in my report, your height has been stunted because of this and it also explains why your weight is severely low to the average weight for a boy your age. the answers that you gave me explain the twenty eight different scars that I have counted and scanned on your body, including the Basilisk bite and phoenix tears that I detected in your blood. What completely baffles me, and Merlin bless me, the twenty bones that you have suffered through and besides some improper healing and minor adjustments, your skeletal stature is mostly healthy besides some bones that healed incorrectly." Brooke muttered in a language in which Harry did not recognize.
Dr. Sienberg finished writing her report and squeezed Harry's shoulder gently. "I'm going to go and discuss with some others about possible treatment methods, try and get some sleep alright? you have been fighting to stay awake for the past hour or so." Brooke said as she walked out of Harry's room and quietly called an elf to cast a charm on the poor boy to help him fall into a deep sleep. Brooke also asked the elf to ask Doctor Goobsby to come and meet with her to discuss a patient.
Doctor Goobsby was sitting at his desk, filling out paperwork of his previous patients that had a bad case of a failed animagus transfiguration. His limbs were previously full of some type of a fur, mostly likely a dog or a wolf, he just dipped his eagle quill into his ink pot when an elf popped into his office and asked him to meet with Doctor Sienberg. Doctor Goobsby finished his paperwork in a slightly rushed manner and got up from his comfortable office chair with wheels, a handy invention the muggles created quite awhile ago and walked over to the meeting room that young Brooke asked him and smiled when he saw his young protégé sitting in a chair examining several reports.
"Good afternoon Miss Sienberg" Doctor Goobsby said in a cheerful manner and took the seat beside Brooke and took a quick glance at the reports, his eyes widened at the name that was listed on the report.
"Are you really treating the boy who lived? Harry Potter himself?" Doctor Goobsby asked with a surprised tone. Brooke wordlessly handed the report to her former mentor and watched his expressions at what the report listed, several minutes later Doctor Goobsby finished reading the report and leaned back in the chair, his face had went through several expressions of anger, sadness and a mixture of fury, sadness and confusion.
"H-how the hell has this been happening for so long?" Doctor Goobsby stuttered. "The boy who lived being abused by his muggle relatives, I always wondered why we never heard any new news updates about him. I can see why you wanted me to look at your reports, what is this about a foreign magic detected in his scar?"
Brooke softly spoke and said, "I scanned some type of foreign magic in his head, it was contained in his scar from what I can tell for a very long time now, I'm assuming the night his parents were murdered as it is the only reason I can think of. I'm going to be alerting the aurors and child protective services right away, I'm hoping the goblins might have an idea of what is occurring here, but I wanted your input sir, this is beyond my capabilities."
Doctor Goobsby leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms across his chest and pride filled his heart at his former apprentice, she had become one of Gringotts best doctors at such a young age. He was also proud of her decision to seek his opinion since this was a rather obscure situation.
"Brooke my dear, you have more then earned the right to call me by my first name Andrew by now. It was a wise decision to seek my opinion on this and I don't have the feintest idea of what this could be. You should request a specialist to come in and inspect the boy, if they don't know the answer they might have an idea of what to do next."
Brooke nodded and stood up from the chair, thanking her mentor and walked out of the small private meeting room they were occupying, Brooke then walked to the Specialist ward where all the patients who required delicate and specialized care would be admitted for their care. Brooke knocked on the door of a doctor who may have an idea as to what Harry's medical phenomenon could be due to his background of going on multiple tours with curse breakers to Egypt, African rainforests and Greece.
"Enter" The male voice spoke, Brooke pushed the door open and sat down at the desk of Bill Weasley who was a specialist who was trained in both medical and curse breaking magic. Bill finished writing a report of some kind and turned to Brooke with a large goofy smile.
"How can I help you Dr. Sienberg?" Bill asked in a curious tone, confused why Dr. Sienberg was here when they really never interacted together in their workplace.
"I have a patient with a very odd diagnosis with a foreign magic of some kind in a scar on their body, I have never heard of anything like this, and Doctor Goobsby didn't have the faintest of ideas as to what this may be, I know you have encountered a large variety of bizarre and widespread of curses, odd and foreign magic and everything in between and if you are free at the moment, could you please come and give a consult?
Bill nodded his head and sorted his papers quickly on his desk and got up from his desk and followed Dr. Sienberg to the VIP section of the Gringotts medical ward, and entered the room which Harry was in, to find him in a deep sleep, Bills face turned into a look of horror and disbelief.
"Holy fucking Merlins Balls it's Harry… Mom is going to be forever pissed when she finds out about this." Bill whispered in a scared tone, knowing how scary his mother could be when someone she cared for was injured in anyway."
Brooke looked at Bill with a curious look. "Do you know him Bill?" She asked.
"I've only met him a few times, he is best mates with my youngest brother and considered a family friend, my younger brothers the twins love him as well. Merlin what's happened to him Brooke?" Bill asked as he sat on Harry's bed and began to scan Harry, moving his wand in intricate motions that he was taught as a curse breaker.
After several minutes of doing every possible scan Bill could think of, He decided to do some rather obscure scans that he hoped would come as false, he performed a soul scan and his wand's tip glowed a bright green. Bill sighed and lowered his arm, letting out a tired and frustrated sigh. He missed the very questioning look from Brooke as he got up from Harry's bed and sat down at a small table in the corner of the room, Brooke immediately following him.
"What the hell did you find William?!" Brooke half asked half yelled at Bill, letting him rest for a few minutes at the table, as she could see he was visibly tired from all the hundreds of scans he performed.
Bill spoke after a few minutes of complete silence, disregarding the tension in the air as Brooke stared at him with a very angry glare. "Do you know what a Horcrux is Brooke?" Bill started into Brookes eyes, almost as if he was staring her into soul, Brooke's cheeks turned a little red from blushing and Shaked her head no.
A horcrux is a terrible project that Herpo The Foul invented when he was alive, not many people know he was quite the genius, discovering and pretty much invented the basilisk, his greatest invention however is a terrible concept that should be erased from history as soon as possible. He invented a way to split the soul and store it into an object of some kind, it was the first success of immortality in some sense.
Brookes eyes widened at what she learned, the idea of splitting a soul apart horrified her terribly. The concept of immortality also scared her to her very core, she understood why Bill was so disturbed and reached over the table, taking his hand into hers and squeezed softly, rubbing her thumb on top of his hand. William squeezed her hand softly in turn and smiled.
"I'm guessing Harry has a horcrux of some kind in his scar, how do we get it out of him?" Brooke asked still holding Bill's hand.
"I don't have the faintest idea, I have only encountered two on my missions and they were inside objects that weren't alive. We performed rituals on them that got rid of any soul residue in the objects so I don't think that would work in Harry. I will inform the goblins and see if they have any ideas on how to get rid of it. I recommend treating everything else you can as he has been a functional person so far with the thing inside of him, he could probably hold off on treatment until we find a solution.
Brooke thanked Bill and smiled, waving as he exited the room to report to the goblins on the horcrux inside of Harry, hoping they had a solution for him.
Brooke gathered up several potions that was going to be given to Harry, three of the potions were intended to help restore the years of malnourishment and beatings the poor boy suffered through, the potions effects would help restore his body reach the state in which it should be now, he will have to eat an incredibly large amount of food to help get him up to normal height and weight as she suspected he had stunted growth and was incredibly underweight for his age.
Brooke walked over to a specially made ice box that the goblins enchanted to keep things set a certain temperature (what muggles would later call a refrigerator) and pulled out a small container of cream that would help erase the scars from his body. She rubbed the cream over the dozen or so scars of whippings, occasional branding burns and the one weird triangle that was cut into his shoulder.
Brooke finished her work that she could do on Mr. Potter and stepped out of his room, letting the poor boy rest and recover, as she walked to the staff break room to try and relax in anyway.
Daphne was sitting in her bedroom writing on a small parchment to her best friend Hermione, explaining how her summer as went and the places she visited with her father, Cyrus Greengrass. Daphne also explained how she finished all of her homework and lightly scolded Hermione for taking all of the electives including divination and muggle studies, divination has extremely low value if you do not have the gift of seers and muggle studies is extremely behind the times according to Daphne's mother.
Daphne finished the letter wishing they could become public with their relationship, reassuring Hermione that their friendship wouldn't receive any backlash from the Slytherins due to the Greengrass history and wealth. Daphne walked over to her owl Midnight who was resting in the corner of her room, Daphne attached the note to her owl's leg, then the owl flew off right away to Hermione's house, Daphne got into her bed and pulled out a novel out of a pile of books that Hermione gifted her for her birthday.
A few minutes later after Daphne had begun reading her book she had a knock on her door, her mother poked her head into her room and quietly walked in, trying to not disturb her eldest daughter. Celia Greengrass was a proud and beautiful woman and quite a figure within the Neutral faction, she quietly sat beside her daughter and scared the shit out of her, watching her jump very violently made her giggle uncontrollably.
"What the hell mom?! You scared the hell out of me…" Daphne muttered and ended up smiling, giggling with her mother.
"What are you reading sweetheart?" Celia ran her fingers through her daughter's beautiful blonde hair, and smiled as her daughter unconsciously hugged her.
"I'm reading a novel that Hermione gave me Mom, it's a muggle series called Lord Of The Rings. I just began the second book if you would like to read the first, I know you're a big reader after all I inherited it from you." Daphne grinned.
Celia nodded her head and gently grabbed the first book from Daphne's hand that she had just offered, she flipped through the quite thick book and smiled. This is going to be quite a good read if Daphne was enjoying it. Celia was sceptical of muggle books at first but trusted her daughter's judgement and gave the first book a chance and was quickly enamoured.
"Are you going to become public with your friendship with Hermione dear?" Celia asked in a curious tone, trying to not upset her daughter as she knew keeping it hidden was hard on both girls.
"I want to, honestly. Hermione is worried about how her friend Ronald will react, you know how the Weasleys are very emotional outspoken people, Especially the Mother and Ronald. They have it in their stupid heads that all Slytherins are criminals, evil and terrible people. I know this may sound terrible, but I hope they break off with them, he is holding both Hermione and Harry back severely. Hermione has always suspected Harry is quite more intelligent then he let's on to be, but he doesn't want to upset Ronald but doing better then him."
Celia ran her fingers through her daughter's hair and held her close to her chest and kissed the top of her head.
"I have a feeling this year will be the best year for you my love. You are not a terrible for wishing your friend to break off with someone who hold's them back, but you have to let nature take its course you know? I have a feeling you will become great friends with Harry if you meet him. if he is like his parents after all he will naturally draw people in."
Daphne looked up at her mom surprised. She never really spoke much about her Hogwarts years and was always curious what kind of student her mother was.
"Your father and I were Ravenclaws in the same year as James Potter and Lily. Lily was a muggleborn, but she was very gifted in all sorts of magic, and dear Merlin you did not want to bully her as she would curse your behind off. She actually hated James for the longest time as he was a very pompous pureblood who pranked everybody, especially the Slytherins. He did eventually grow out of his immaturity and became a good man and won Lilys heart. Daphne hugged her mother gently as her mother got up from the bed, carrying the book with her out of Daphne's room after a quick embrace.
Harry woke up from his sleep and his body was immediately hit with pain and soreness, he remembered he was in the Gringotts hospital ward, he looked around the room and noticed his doctor was standing over him, writing on a report of some kind. Doctor Brooke noticed he woke up and smiled.
"Good afternoon Mr. Potter, how are you feeling?" Brooke asked in a cheerful way.
"I'm feeling quite sore ma'am, although I feel a lot better then before. I'm actually super hungry… may I please have some food?" Harry asked nervously as he didn't want to come off as a pig.
Brooke laughed and asked an elf to bring Harry some food, a few minutes later a tray of chicken, steamed vegetables and a glass of orange juice appeared on Harry's bed stand.
"While you were asleep, we gave you several potions to begin healing you, including one that will begin to counter your height and weight so your body is going to be in a high demand for food for substances and nutrients. Now finish your food and get some more sleep, doctors orders."
Dr. Sienberg left the room and Harry pretty much devoured all of the food within a few minutes and quietly burped, embarrassed. Harry picked up a book that was left on the bed stand and began to read, it was a children's book called "The Tale of the Three Brothers" Harry flipped through the book, reading the book through and eventually his eyes closed at the page of the Brother who received the cloak of invisibility who could hide himself from Death itself.
Several days had passed and Harry was being escorted out of Gringotts by his account manager Slayertooth. Harry was now thirty pounds heavier and now quite tall at 5'6 despite being quite short before his hospital stay, his glasses gone as he had taken a potion that fixed his eyesight so now his bright green eyes were on full display.
Harry smiled at Slayertooth, and left Gringotts and walked towards Windscor to receive his two wands. He pushed open the front door and stepped inside to see Lyal and smiled, waving at the old man who waved back. Harry then walked over to the counter and Lyal's eyes widened at his new appearance.
"You look much better now Mister Potter, your wands are ready if you would like to come to the back and collect them?"
Harry's eyes appeared to twinkle much like Dumbledores and nodded. "I'd love nothing more sir."
This is it for this chapter, I apologise how for long it has taken me to post this. I will begin working on the new chapter right away and hopefully the chapter's flow out more normally from now on. Please leave reviews and your comments!
