(Remnant)

Winter hummed as she drew up a virtual battleground and proceeded to lay out her and Rivefre both planning to prepare to take apart the villains.

She had been apart and she would be dealt with for now as she looked to the ground. She sighed and adjusted the strings on her boots before she looked to the side, pausing to think.

"We need to keep going forward, hit them with a two-pronged strike. After that? We can sweep in with the rest of the infantry and wipe the board clean." Winter stated as Rivefre hummed and looked to the side.

"Maybe, but we have a lot of things to think about, the fact that we are going to be dealing with a lot of power, a lot of enemies…. The rebels have been strung up and they have no short supply of soldiers and troops." Rivefre stated.

He looked around and then at them before it came down to it once again, knowing whatever came as a result. It would not come too easily, nit with what needed to be done now, knowing it would not be dealt with, he had not been able to think.

He was too thrown off and had not been able to think of whatever was going on at the end of the moment.

She looked to the side and then at Rivefre as the sound of TIE fighters passed outside the hanger of the ship.

"We're going to war, I wish to remind you that we might end up going into the next part of life," Winter stated to which Rivefre hummed.

There was something that needed to be dealt with for now as she paused to let it come crashing through the pain and into the next thing.

Rivefre sighed, putting his blasters into the holster, and then looked to the side.

"I know what our next goal is, I know that we need to strike them, the more of them we end up hitting? The more we take out. When it goes to the end of the road? We must keep going to get work done." Rivefre stated before he crossed his arms.

He did not know what was a lot more to try and do. He had a lot of damn paperwork to figure out…. Then? He had to work through each little piece of it.

He was silent before he sighed to himself and then looked to the side. He had not been able to try and figure it out once more across rows and rows and rows of damn paperwork even if he hated it to death.

That and that alone bothered him to no end of madness at this sheer moment in time.

Winter looked over to Rivefre as he hummed, sliding more figures into place, knowing that he could not for the life of himself feel a measure of pity nor remorse.

He slowly hummed and then looked at her before he fell silent, knowing that something about it all would be easily over.

(Five minutes later aboard a Lambda shuttle)

Winter was silent before she looked to Rivefre to Winter who looked to the side, knowing what was growing on her mind as both officers looked ahead.

"I should remind you that these soldiers are heavily armed, very heavily organized…." He started to say before explosions had come all around them. "Never mind, we're going to need to get to work, I assume you are going to handle air support?" Rivefre stated.

"I have something else to deal with for now," Winter stated to which she sighed and frowned and looked downwards at the ground.

She watched Rivefre take both of his blasters as she paused to try and figure out the next move at the end of it. She was tired, and exhausted and she wished to get back to training when it was done and dusted.

"Ok, guess I'll deal with air support." Winter heard from Rivefre.

He sighed and crossed his arms as he finished with his blasters, he was well damn aware of the fact that they were going into a protracted siege to deal with the rebels… However? he was scared, not just for what needed to be done but for more work for the future.

The roar of TIE fighters, all of which split off to try and draw fire surrounded their craft. Rivefre watched as a pair of enemy craft which he assumed to try and draw fire from their craft….

And yet? He was thrown caution to the wind now, the caution he did not have to try and fight so much as try not to die.

Their ship died down towards the camp, laser fire burning through the rest of Atla's atmosphere as it began to explode all around them. There were a few seconds of silence as the shuttle began to fold its wings and began to land.

He was tired, very tired for now and he seemed to be over this sort of battle, his warriors would fight? Then they would die and die again later because of a system he did not know worked or not.

If nothing else? He had been too tired, far too tired to try and fight it through to the end and that was a problem he planned to rectify post haste.

It was something that needed to be cut to pieces. A system he did not plan to deal with until now. There was so much work to do and yet he could not have allowed it for a very good reason.

All there was left to do was fight and fight well when one was going to die sooner or later. Death was a very well-founded fear but it was nothing more than another that needed to be dealt with sooner or later.

They had a lot more pain to get through when it was all said and done now, the tiring exhausting problems when it came down to it.

This was not something to have been dealt with for now.

More explosions carpeted the air around them and he sighed as he realized just how dangerous things would be.

"You may wish to exit. These shuttles are far less built for anything less than comfort, being skilled on the battlefield is something else." Rivefre stated before he sighed.

He realized there was more to do with it all when it was said and done when it came to it… All they had left was something hard to deal with.

Winter watched as the doors opened and he paused to think of what she was doing before realizing she dropped out, rushing through the air as if she was weightless.

Rivefre only questioned if she was a Jedi, her weapons called to mind Vibroblades but it appeared she might be something else.

He watched as she fell downwards towards the city, summoning a sort of object under her feet to break her fall as she did so for now.

It was enough to make him shocked in more ways than one now.

Such was life and life seemed fine enough now, knowing that such options were to make it up and done when it came down to it.

He did not know when it came down to it. It was his duty to report them but this one seemed different.

The shuttle landed and a dozen explosions heralded his arrival as he rushed down the ramp and into cover, one of the TIES from before slammed into the ground and he cursed as he realized there was nothing more than an army.

It was clear they needed more and more chaos to fight through, all of which he could not provide. He had a lot more problems, a lot of which he held to be something he could not just deal with easily. Granted? There was more pressing than anything he had on his mind.

Like surviving, yes, surviving was something vital and something he had to deal with. That and he knew more and more the issues on his mind were something vital and hard to rationalize when it was all said and done.

He had to be better than it. He had to be superior to such a thing that he had to be done with it and done with every little fleeting issue.

The pains in his mind were bothering him. He had to end it and soon, everything else and far more than before at the very moment.

He had been too eager to try and figure it out as of now for the time being as he wished to be done and dusted… Such was life and it was such a thing as he paused to try and deal with for now.

He had been eager to think of himself as he looked to try and figure it out as it came crashing down now and he clicked it into place.

Several dozen explosions rained down with TIE bombers and Rivefre seemed to toss himself into combat. He would continue to fight, to let himself relax as he slowly slid into combat.

All of it made him think of what was going to happen. He had no such idea as of now when it comes down to it.

He looked to the side and then smirked, too fascinated with this planet but ready to relax.

"What do we do?" He heard as he paused to try and figure it out.

He thought of it as a small little idea on his mind as he clicked his fingers. He watched Winter as she stabbed one of the soldiers, throwing them to the ground.

He paused and put a blaster bolt through one of the soldiers into the head of another. He looked once more into the eyes of soldiers.

He was too focused on something regarding a battle when it was all said and done.

He did not want to think of it. Winter was too relaxed to try and figure it all out as she paused.

Winter looked to the side and then smirked. She revealed just how dangerous she was to the fight when it came down to something like this.

Something about the fight was interesting to her and it was… Odd. Why odd? Simple, they had a lot more to deal with when it came down to it, she had been eager to figure it out now, and for good reason.

More and more Atlesian soldiers seemed to attack them. He had been too eager to figure it out as he paused.

Winter knew what was going on as she seemed to think of it when it came to it.

He looked to the side, thinking of what was growing on as of now, it was going to be something for the history books if he was right, something for the historians.

However, Rivefre did not care for now how it was or was going to have been when push came to shove. They had jobs to do so they would get them done and that would be that. He did not care about the fame or fortune so much as the ability to remind people the ISB was willing to serve those who did what they had to do for the empire.

That? And he knew very well it better to try and deal with something as chaotic as what needed to be done for now and for a good reason at the end of the day.

So much that it hurt. So much that it burrowed inside him like a worm… Even more so that he of all people could not fulfill it.

They held so much to see and do… He of all people was interested in how strong this woman was and just what she could do.

Despite her skill with blades? Winter was still greeted with a shot to her upper shoulder by way of a blaster… And despite this? She turned with her body crackling blue for a few moments before finally realizing she of all people was simply outmatched in the ways it had mattered.

Winter backflipped backward, pausing only to land in a crouch. There were a lot of things she sought questions on now and for good reason.

"I warned you," Rivefre stated. "Their blasters sting… How is your arm still intact?" Rivefre asked.

"My aura," Winter said as Rivefre blinked. "You are… Not aware of this?" Winter asked.

"You will have to explain it to me… Provided we survive today." Rivefre stated before he leaned to the side and blasted a rebel. "I do not have such protection. A lucky shot to my armor? I will be lucky if I do not go into shock." Rivefre stated.

Winter now realized why her friend was taking cover and looked up… There seemed to be a half dozen craft engaging the Imperials and it became clear even then then the enemy might overrun them first.

She sighed as she realized combat was going to be hard to counter even to the best of Atla's ability… This would make operations hard but not impossible.

Winter looked over to her friend… Guessing that he also knew something of the tactical ability of the enemy…. So? She decided it would be better to understand the tactics.

"I will flank the enemy… Follow up on it with air support if you can then stick close to me." Winter stated with a sigh as she realized one good hit would kill him.

Something that could be said for most of her allies, she knew damn well that if the enemy pinned down her friend? he would be dead within a few moments. She held no desire to let someone die in combat nor a desire to let a friend fall in either fashion.

She would fight… And she would win, even if combat was nigh impossible, she would fight.

"TIE fighters can only do so much before they get tossed into combat… Either way? It was clear such a thing was obvious now and for good reason…. I will see what I can manage." Rivefre stated.

He would chuckle if he could. Tactical military operations were somewhat within his ballpark… However? He could guess her idea was valid.

Part of him still HATED the idea of being willing to let imperial soldiers, men, and women who served with distinction for now…. But? There was little to nothing he could do besides put himself at the mercy of the time being.

She did not know would be able to try and figure it out now when push came to shove… Something about it all came to an end now. She of all people seemed to be eager to fix it now when push came to shove, there was more to it now and for good.

She sighed and then thought of the next battle, watching as a pair of TIES came, cannons blaring, and then blew away the entire upper level of soldiers, destroying it in a final burst of gunfire.

Still? There were more and more of them from before, she of all people wished to think of it.

She did not know what to expect it to come crashing to the ground, something which seemed to be done with it all now… Winter would only guess there was MORE to the plans seen before them than she had guessed
