All was quiet in the Pridelands as the beautiful yellow sun beamed down on the grassy plains as everyone was enjoying the beautiful weather, Kiara the princess and soon to be queen of the Pridelands was currently sitting on top of Pride rock looking over the valley with a proud smile on her face as everything was peaceful and that's the way Kiara loved it.
As she watched the Pridelanders go on about their daily routines and fun she didn't notice Nala her mother walking up next to her with a little smile. "Beautiful day isn't it?"She said scaring Kiara "Jeez Mom say something when you sneak up on a lioness like that!"Kiara said holding her chest "I did say something you're the one who freaked out."Nala said with a little teasing smile Kiara wanted to respond to that but decided not to.
"Is Dad still at his Elephantese lesson?"Kiara asked "Yes, I'm embarrassed to say your father is still struggling a little he's still saying things wrong,it's starting to become more and more funny."Nala said with a giggle and Kiara laughing to imagining her father saying Elephantese phrases wrong.
"Dad can be so silly sometimes which is quite a surprise giving how he's mostly so mature and calm, and firm which i guess is expected of a King."Kiara said "True but having a sense of humor is common nature,we must be able to laugh at things, smile and joke around every once in a while otherwise we'll come across as sticks in the mud."Nala joked making kiara giggle a little "Believe it or not Kiara before your father was King,he used to be a total goofball always having fun and being adventurous,just like me."Nala said making Kiara look at her bewildered "You were a goofball too?"
"Oh yeah, me and Simba used to play all the time and get into all kinds of trouble,and get on Zazu's nerves."Nala said with a grin then suddenly zazu flew to the edge of the cliff between the lionesses "Zazu how was the elephantese lesson?"Kiara asked "Ugh exhausting, Simba kept mispronouncing phrases to the point were he was speaking gibberish in elephantese."Zazu said with a shake of his head while looking out of the Pridelands Kiara glanced at Nala who had a mischievous grin on her face "Watch this."She mouthed "Well at least he tried his best."Nala said "indeed Queen Nala,but sometimes I think there are certain things that his majesty shouldn't try, learning another language is one of them."Zazu said as he continued looking out towards the horizon however unknown to him Nala was sticking her tongue at him in a teasing way Kiara stifled a snicker and Zazu turned to look at Nala who immediately put on a blank calm expression.
"I see, out of curiosity which one of you gave up first you or him?"Nala asked "I'm afraid he did he found the learning language to be...difficult as poop, I'm paraphrasing as I'm uncomfortable with the language he used."Zazu said looking at Kiara who nodded her head then she glanced at Nala who cuffed her cheeks together making a fishy face while crossing her eyes at him then she quickly put on a quizzical expression while looking out over the cliff when Zazu turned towards her again "and where is Simba now?"she asked curiously "I believe he's with Timon and Pumbaa right now."Zazu said glancing at Nala.
"I'm sorry you had a horrible time teaching simba elephantese Zazu."Nala said with a little smile "I'm sorry too your majesty,sorry that I volunteered for this task in the first place."Zazu said with a slight defeated tone. "Well besides that do you have anything else to report?"Kiara said "Everything is going peacefully and smoothly and..."Zazu froze as he noticed Kiara was struggling not to laugh as she looked past him Zazu turned around to see Nala just standing there staring at Zazu pretending to not know what she's laughing about but Zazu had a pretty good idea "Ha ha your Highness."Zazu said sarcasticly as Nala shook her head in denial then Zazu flew off from pride rock as the Kiara laughed.
"Don't be afraid to show a childish side Kiara,is shows that even you take your role as queen seriously but you do enjoy a good laugh.,"Nala said as Kiara nodded while both lionesses continued looking out of the Pridelands.
