(AU) Second instalment of the Heirs of Olympus and continuation of The Kings and Queens of Olympus. Annabeth continues her search for Athena's statue as Olympus crosses the sea to head to war against the giants.with Percy and Jason competing at the head.

Percy and Annabeth never made it out of Tartarus, and the Gods intended it to be that way. Protecting themselves from a prophecy that warned of Olympus' end, the Gods kept it a secret from all but a few demigods. But with Gaea on the verge of waking, and without two of Olympus' greatest heroes, can the Gods still win? Even if they do, have their actions stopped the secret prophecy?

Mari should've read the terms and conditions. She should've noped out as soon as Oak started talking about gods and monsters. Maybe then things would be different. She'd have been spared the pain and heartache. She'd be living a normal, safe life somewhere sunny. But Mari wasn't normal - she didn't have time to dwell on 'what ifs'. She was kind of preoccupied fighting for her life.

The past month has been hard. Erebus still on the loose, the war between Othrys and Olympus continuing, spies watching everyone's movements, it's hard to know who to trust. With Percy's absence, Kronos becomes the monster he was before, and Olympus are struggling to gain momentum as he thwarts their every plan. Once the Doors are located, it's a war for control of the Storm.

Tartarus is gone, killed by Nico. While Percy has returned Kronos' soul to the Titan, it's most certainly not over yet. The gods aren't willing to allow the Titans to regain themselves, and with Kronos as a bargaining chip the Titans aren't willing to risk anything. But as Percy soon realises, Tartarus' plan to kill all other Primordials wasn't a success.

Annabeth managed to escape Tartarus and join the seven in the war against Gaea, but Percy was left behind. Now, three centuries later the Doors of Death are opening again and nine heroes descend into the Pit. The events which follow, none of them could have anticipated. Everyone says that time heals all wounds, but Percy knows it leaves only scars.
