The vacancy light flashed on the Beartooth Hideaway as the Impala rested in the parking lot. Red Lodge, Montana was not a place that either of them ever wanted to come back to. This latest round with the angels had left the both of them reeling, even if they weren't willing to discuss it. Well, Dean wasn't willing to discuss it. Sam was not bothered by it and that used to be an oddity. Now it was the norm, between his soul fracturing and the world just being too much for him.

Sam sat up in his bed, monitoring the hunter underground. The Campbells had a much richer network than his father had been able to create. Bobby was good, but Bobby just didn't have these kinds of connections. And they needed connections now- to stay one step ahead of the angels and the King of Hell. They were already dangerously behind the curve.

Dean's phone rang and he glanced over to see Bobby's name. He ignored the phone as Dean slapped the side table, desperate to make the noise stop. Dean had barely been out for two hours and he had been going for nearly three days non-stop beforehand.

"Bobby? Do you know what time it is?" Dean grumbled as he sat up and rubbed his face. Sam started packing up their things, knowing that if Bobby was calling at this time of morning- they were going to have to get driving. Something was an all hands on deck situation. "The television- Bobby…why would I…Sam, turn that thing on."

Sam paused and pointed at the tv and Dean nodded. Sleep deprived Dean was nothing new, but this level of grumpiness was refreshing to see. Dean was finally getting back to himself after losing Lisa and Ben.

"...outside Broken Bow, Oklahoma- there is a persistent tornado centered over pasture land. Meteorologists and scientists alike are perplexed by this otherworldly phenomena," the newscaster droned on as Dean and Sam exchanged a glance. Otherworldly phenomena, their asses.

"We need our best hunters there for whenever that thing shuts down," Bobby said as Dean let out a sigh. He hated that they were the best hunters that anyone could find right now. "And yes- that's you and Sam. Whatever pops out of that thing is bound to be bad."

"I'll grab breakfast, meet you at the impala," Sam said as Dean nodded as he threw on his jacket and continued scrubbing the room of their presence. The hunt they had just finished had left more notes and debris around than a normal hunt. They didn't want anyone to find any of these things out about them if they could help it.

Dean slung their bags into the trunk and was grateful when Sam passed him a cup of coffee and a warm breakfast sandwich. He shook his head, trying to shake out the last cobwebs from the drinks the night before. They had at least 20 hours ahead of them and there was no telling how long that tornado was going to continue. If was truly unnatural, it might still be going when they showed up.

They sprinted through the woods, trying to distance themselves from the monster that was chasing them. It had been years since they had been pulled into a battle. Years since they had even acknowledged that the other existed and now here they were, together, running for their lives.

"Tommy!" she screamed at the top of her lungs as she was tackled to the ground and managed to roll the being off of her as she scrambled to her feet. She caught a glimpse of him running towards her as she was tripped again and she let out a ragged breath before stealing herself. Tommy was coming for her, but this meant that she was going to have to fight for her life until he got there.

She bucked her hips to throw the being off of her, glad that she had maintained some level of strength over the years. She barely had enough time to scramble to her feet before she was being hit again. She had no thoughts and just reacted- block, absorbing, and giving punches and kicks as hard as she could. She heard fighting kicking up from the direct Tommy had been approaching and took a glance back. It was just enough for the being in front of her to wrap her up and being hauling her away. He had a hand clamped over her mouth and she desperately tried to pull it away. She abandoned that as she saw the vortex they were headed towards and she bit down as hard as she could on the beings hand.

"Tommy!" she yelled again and she saw a brilliant flash come from him and then saw him sprinting towards her again. Now, she just needed to buy him some more time. She slammed her elbows back into the beings ribs repeatedly and finally got enough room to pull away and make a break towards him. Tommy dove for her just as the being hauled her backwards. She felt Tommy's hands grasp her ankles and she let out another scream as the world spun and everything went pitch black.

"Look at the latest," Sam said as he held up his phone to Dean as shots of pink and white light flickered within the tornado. They were about thirty minutes out from the site and it was still raging. "What the hell does that?"

"No idea. Looks like it is finally dying down though," Dean said as the tornado suddenly disappeared and they briefly saw two people standing in the middle of the wasteland the tornado had created. "But I think we should ask them first."
