A Devastating truth

After arriving back to Jasper and hearing of Kate's wedding. With a crushed heart and sad spirit, Humphrey slowly meandered back to his den. He sat there thinking to himself. How could she do this to me? She really used me just to get home. Did she ever care about me? As he was sitting there thinking he could smell a slight change in the weather, it was starting to rain. He decided it'd be best. To get some sleep. So, he laid there trying to close his eyes and sleep till morning.

The next morning. Humphrey awoken to the warm rays of sunshine Beaming down upon his face. The day was bright, but his heart was still broken. He knew he would have to leave. He did not want to stay where he would watch the love of his life. Be married to another wolf. Before he left, he ventured to the edge of the woods. But the Valley, where he could watch part of the wedding. But he could not stay for the full wedding as it was too painful for him. Before he could cry, he turned and left. On his way out, he ran into his old friends. Marcel and Patty. Hey guys, what are you doing out here? Humphrey Asked. "Oh, we are just playing a quick game of golf before we head back home," replied Marcel and Patty. Oh, that's cool. Guys, could you help me out with something? I'm trying to get a train back to Idaho. You wouldn't happen to know when the next train is, would you? Humphrey asked. Oh yes, there should be another train sometime in the next hour, but what about the mademoiselle? asked Marcel. Yeah, about that. She just used me. She's getting married to someone else, so I'm not staying here, replied Humphrey.

After some time sitting. Humphrey heard a voice overhead. The train ain't far from where you are. It shouldn't be, but another 10 minutes out, shouted Patty. Thank you, guys, for helping me with this, I really appreciate it, replied Humphrey. Don't mention it, friend. Hopefully, we'll see you in Idaho soon. Yelled out Marcel and Patty. And with that, Marcel and Patty flew off above the trees and into the clouds. So now, all alone, Humphrey was left with his thoughts. All he could think about was how Kate could do this to him. While engrossed in his thoughts, Humphrey heard the train trudging along the tracks. As the train got closer, he looked for an open train cart. And once he seen one, he decided to jump on and leave behind everything he had with this pack. He would surely miss his friends and he would miss Kate as he still loves her. But there's nothing left here for him.

Back in the valley

In the valley where the wedding was taking place. Kate was sitting there at The Rock with Garth. About to complete the ceremony, but before they could touch noses. She stopped. She pulled back and opened her eyes and said to her father. I can't I. I. I'm in love with another. Garth did not show any emotions to what she said, but deep down he was happy because he had fallen in love with Lilly. Before Kate and Winston. Could discuss why she didn't want to marry Garth. Tony stepped in and spoke. This is an outrage. You will marry him. That's the only way to unite the packs. If not, there will be war. Not long after tony yelled those words out, they could feel A deep vibration in the ground. The all too familiar feeling and sound of a Stampede. Winston yelled. Stampede. Stampede everybody to the sides of the valley.

Back with Humphrey

Not long after Humphrey jumped on the train. He had dozed off into a nap. When he woke up. It was dusk, almost dark. He knew he was close to Idaho.
