AN: Well... some of you asked for a Dark Fate crossover, and I delivered. Now, this first chapter isn't all too dark, but it'll get there.
I have plans... wonderful, murder-filled plans... Mwahahaha... yes, I'm writing this while I'm extremely tired.
Anyway, big thanks to Tendoo for helping me out with this, he helped a lot with fleshing out the story with this and helped with this idea come to fruition.
Don't expect Naruto to be Sakura's "Knight in shining armor" it'll be a lot more complicated than that.
"Wake up to Reality," Normal speech
'Look at me! There's nothing in my Heart anymore.' Normal thought
"Rasenshuriken!" Jutsu/technique/title
"It all started on the day of my actual birth. Both my parents failed to show up" Flashback/Quote
"I find your lack of faith… Disturbing." Demon talk/Anger/ Something important.

Part 1-Rain
Chapter 1- Pain
"...Senpai... Emiya-Senpai..." she called out, awakening her sleeping upperclassmen.
Said upperclassman was a 17-year-old male with red, spiky hair and golden eyes. He was dressed in a raggedy-old blue boiler suit that he used to keep his normal clothes clean while he was working on one of his "projects".
He must have fallen asleep with while working on it... again.
As he began to rise, the sight he was greeted with was of a familiar face.
A young girl, about 16 years of age, with long purple hair and eyes stood in front of him. She was dressed in their academy's female uniform. While the left side of her hair was tied up by a bright red ribbon, her other side was left to flow freely, framing the right side of her face completely.
"Ahhh," he groaned, "Good-morning Sakura." Shirou Emiya greeted.
Sakura adjust her hair as she pulled a loose strand over her ear. "Good-morning, Senpai." She greeted back.
"Uhh..." he questioned.
Sakura, understanding the message, answered, "There's still some time left, but it is unusual for you to oversleep." She told him.
"Yeah, I fell asleep while fixing this guy over here." He gestured to the broken piece of machinery he'd been working on. "Sorry," Shirou apologized.
"Don't be; I'd be happier if you would oversleep from time to time," she told him. "It would make it worthwhile for me to take care of you."
Shirou smiled at his lowerclassmen, as he quickly got up from his sitting position. "All right, let's get ready for breakfast." He told her, as he patted the dust off of his clothes.
"I can take care of breakfast, so please take your time." She assured. "I addition, fujimura sensei will be here soon, so I think you should get changed." Sakura added.
"Good idea," the red haired boy conceded. "Fuji-nee will knock me through the roof if she sees me like this." He laughed.

After Shirou had changed to a proper attire, he helped Sakura prepare breakfast.
They now stood in a comfortable silence as they prepared their meal, a routine they had performed several times before.
Sakura faintly heard the light simmering of the omelet they were preparing as she lent down into the cabinet to collect a few plates.
That was until shirou noticed something odd about her. "Sakura, wait a second." He said, gaining her attention.
"Yes?" She asked in confusion, turning over to face him better.
"What happened to your hand?" He questioned.
Sakura widened her eyes in realization as she went to cover the back of her right hand.
"Shinji again," he surmised, "what is he thinking, raising a hand against his own little sister?" He said angrily.
Sakura turned back to him in horror, "N-No, that's not it, Senpai!" She stuttered out, as she turned away.
Quickly thinking of an excuse, she turned back to him "I, um, got this when I tripped and fell," She told him.
"You can't get bruises like that from falling," Shirou reasoned, as he pressed further.
She turned away in shame, which was all the confirmation Shirou needed.
"I knew it!" Shirou shouted in anger.
She turned back to him, as her hair flailed out with the sudden movement. "Honest, my brother really had nothing to do with this!" She told him. "I got hurt by myself, that's all."
There was a moment when the two stared at each other, neither of them backing down.
That was until Shirou went up to her, getting so close that she could almost feel his breath across her neck.
Sakura, being so close to her secret crush's face, her own began to redden. "W-What are you doing S-Senpai?" She stuttered out, not being able to fully comprehend the situation.
Shirou reached his hand up toward her cheek, and Sakura's blush began to grow to atomic proportions.
"Sakura?" Shirou questioned, "what is this?" He asked, as he reached his hand to move Sakura's hair back.
And there, being previously covered by her hair, was a large hand shaped bruise.
That sent Sakura's fantasies crumbling down. "I-I..." she stuttered out, trying to come up with a plausible excuse for her bruises.
But her silence only seemed to fuel Shirou's rage.
"Shinji!" Shirou roared out in anger.
Sakura decided it was at that moment the best opportunity to leave. "I-I just remembered... I have to go." She told him, as she rushed past him to leave.
Passing by a brown-haired woman in her mid-twenties as she did so.
"Oo. Is that your famous rolled omelettes I smell, Shirou?" Taiga called out, having just now entered the room as Sakura passed her by. "Huh?... what's go her in such a rush?" She questioned.
It wasn't soon after that Shirou rushed after her.
XXX
(With Sakura)
As soon as she rushed out of the house, she looked towards a place to hide should Shirou had followed her.
Although she loved him, she couldn't deal with his questions right now.
Quickly ducking into a nearby alley, it gave her time to comprehend her situation.
She briefly gazed at the back of her palm. To any onlooker, it would see that she had a rather large bruise encompassing the back of her hand.
But the truth was far more severe.
It signified her role as a master within The 5th Holy Grail War.
The grail wars were a battle royal between 7 chosen mages and their servants, powerful heroic servants renowned for their impacts on history.
Each mage was chosen by the hop grail itself, an immensely powerful magical object with near omnipotent power, said to be able to grant any wish to the winner of its grail war. The grail chose 7 magi to complete, bestowing upon them command seals, and it was the magus's duty to construct a magic circle capable of calling upon a heroic spirit from the past, one within the Throne of heroes.
Each heroic spirit was given one of seven classes: Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Berserker, Caster, and Assassin.
It was the magus's job to form a pact with the servant, and continue on with the grail war.
At the start of the war, the 7 magus were given 3 command seals each. The seals, originally created by the Matou clan, had the ability to force the servant to do their commands, even if the command was against their will.
It was a Master's job to eliminate the opposing master's servants. At that point the grail would manifest itself, ready for the last remaining master to claim the grail, and their wish.
... Or so the stories said.
But she wanted no part in it!
Not the Grail War, not the role of master, servants, the Matou clan, or even being a magus itself... all she wanted was for her to spend the rest of her days being content with her Senpai.
That's why she ran away... if she had her way, Shirou would never learn about this godforsaken war.
She quickly hid behind a few loose boxes, just in time for Shirou to come rushing out his house, right outside the alley she was located in.
"Where did she go? I swear I saw her run this way." She heard her Senpai say to himself.
Sakura continued to hide, but she tentatively brought her hand up to her right cheek, right where the offending bruise was located.
Wincing slightly, she began to recall just where this bruise came from.

Matou Residence
Flashback (Yesterday)
"How long is this going to take!" Shinji roared out in anger.
"I-It should be ready anytime soon, Shinji-Nii." She told absentmindedly, as she decided to focus on preparing the spell.
But the indigo haired boy seemed to take offense to this, as he slapped her harshly on the face.
Smack
"That's Shinji-sama to you." He told her arrogantly.
Sakura briefly held her hand across her right cheek, right where Shinji had struck her.
She wanted to retaliate, to cry out, to do... something.
But she couldn't.
She knew what happened when we fought back... it would only end badly for her.
Uncle Kiraiya tried to defy 'him', and look how he turned out.
As such, she only stared at her older brother for only a second.
But it was the figure that stood behind Shinji was the one that caught her attention.
Behind Shinji was an old man with wrinkly, ghostly pale skin. His figure was hunched over, making him distinctly shorter than the two of them. He was adorning a black robe over a green kimono.
However, the aura he gave off was decidedly inhuman. His irises were pure white and while he possessed no pupils, his sclera were pitch black.
Zouken Matou... her 'grandfather' and current legal guardian.
And at the moment, Zouken's mouth was etched in a terrifying frown.
Her heart sank, it never ended well when grandfather was disappointed, it usually meant that she was forced back into 'the pit'.
No.
She didn't want to go back 'there' anytime soon.
It was carefully instilled fear that kept her motivated , as she once again returned to preparing her summoning ritual.
That was all she had to do.
She just had to summon a servant, and then she'd give ownership to Shinji, and she'd have no part in this.
It didn't matter to her. She had no intentions on fighting within the grail war. She didn't want to have to fight against...
Shaking her head from that thought, Sakura continued preparing the ritual. She had neglected to procure a catalyst to help with her summoning, there was no servant she was hoping to summon.
Truthfully a small part of her hoped she would summon a weaker servant, one that would be defeated early on in the Grail war. That would remove all connections to her as a master, and remove her from the stupid war entirely.
Yes, that's what she hoped would happen.
And so she continued to prepare the summoning circle.
Voiced the incarnation that had been drilled into her head since she was young.
It wasn't soon after that the room was bathed in a crimson light.
A beautiful woman stepped up to her, "I ask of you... are you my master?" Rider spoke.
XXX
(Present)
She couldn't believe it, she summoned Medusa... the Medusa.
Practically one of the most famous servants there were. The boost in fame would undoubtedly mean she would be powerful... not good.
She only hoped that with Shinji's non-existent magic circuits, with him as a master, Rider wouldn't be powerful enough to win the grail war.
She looked around she continued to hide.
It didn't take long for Shirou to leave, probably decided to continue on looking for her.
She smiled at that thought, her Senpai was always like that. Truly, Shirou Emiya was a good person... unlike her.
And why she loved him.
Hoisting herself up from her hiding in position, she decided that it was about time to head to school, resolving it was better to skip breakfast entirely. She hoped she wouldn't see Senpai while she was there. And hoped that he would forget this matter entirely.
But she knew he wouldn't... it just wasn't within his nature.
She only barely noticed the figure staring at her at the end of the alley, but she did acknowledge his several odd features.
His hair was as golden as the sun, and spiked in ever direction imaginable. He had tan skin, and whisker marks? Across his face. He wore a peculiar, worn-out bright orange and black jumpsuit that was open at the front, showing the fishnet shirt along with his muscled chest beneath. But the most peculiar thing were his eyes...
Twin crimson orbs stared back at her.
It was almost unnerving, those slitted blood-red orbs would practically scare any civilians senseless.
They were undoubtedly mystic-eyes of some kind.
That only spelled trouble.
But as soon as he came, he was gone, continuing on throughout the city.
As she left the alley, she never did catch another glimpse at the strange man that day.
End Chapter.
An: That's the end of the first chapter, I know, it's rather short. But there is more to come. The size of the chapters will vary, some being a few thousand words, while others will be more akin to the length of my Phantom of the underworld fic.
I don't expect this story to be of epic length, 10-15 chapters, probably.
Routes?: Obviously, this story takes place within Fate/Stay Night. But which route this story takes isn't as simple.
The main route this will derive from is Unlimited Blade works.
However, there will also be huge elements taken from Heaven's feel.
And with minor elements from the original Stay Night (, as seen in this chapter).
Naruto: For those of you expecting Naruto to be summoned by Sakura, well... you were wrong. I wouldn't do something as simple as that.
I won't go into too much detail, but there is no need for Naruto to be summoned.
Take that as you will.
As for Naruto himself... this both is and isn't Naruto, it's complicated, but I hope to clear it up within later chapters.
Think of him being the same, while also being different... darker.
With a much more tragic past to boot.
Sakura: I like Sakura, probably more than either Rin or saber, to be honest.
Is she the main character?
Well, as of now she is, but I plan for this story to switch POVs a few times.
For this first part, around 5 chapters, I plan to main focus on Sakura.
These next 5 chapters will mainly skim through the main events of the first season of UBW, while also giving Sakura some foundations for the rest of the story.
Pairing?: The main pairing will be Naruto and Sakura.
But I also want their development to be gradual. As of right now, Sakura loves Shirou, but that's sure to change.
But the actual pairing won't happen until near the end of the story.
Next chapter: should be a bit like this one, going over a canon scene, but there is a flashback that I plan to have.
Don't worry, this story won't be as flashback intensive as 'Phantom of the underworld', but there will be a few.
Speaking of phantom, next week I should have chapter 12 ready to be posted. Then I'll probably release another chapter of this the following week.
Question: Let me know what you think of this story so far and where you suggest this story will go?
