Fireworks
Takemichi moved away from the crowd. The fireworks would start soon to end the festival. He went to there with his friends and Hinata, but he had decided to leave before the fireworks started. He wanted to find Naoto. It was time for him to go back to his time to find out if he had succeeded in changing the future. He searched for Naoto, but he could not find him. And yet, Hinata had told him that her brother was at the festival with his friends. Takemichi kept looking for him and he realized that he were too far from the festival and that there was no one around.
'Takemitchy.'
He turned to see Mikey sitting against a tree.
'Mikey-kun ! I thought you were at the festival with Draken-kun and the gang.'
'I wanted to be alone.'
Takemichi rubbed the back of his head and smiled in embarrassment.
'Sorry, I didn't mean to bother you. I'll go.'
'You can stay. Sit down, the show will start soon.'
Mikey moved away slightly to make room for Takemichi who sat down next to him. A soothing silence settled between them until Mikey broke it.
'This is my first time going to the festival without Baji. We always went there all together to watch the fireworks.'
He looked at Takemichi and smiled at him.
'I'm glad you're with me Takemitchy.'
Takemichi smiled. Even if his time travels were often complicated and sometimes painful, it had allowed him to meet Mikey.
'I'm glad to be here,' he said.
There was the sound of the fireworks and an explosion of colours lights lit up the sky.
'It begins !' Mikey exclaimed.
They both watched the fireworks in wonder. Mikey rested his head on Takemichi's shoulder. Takemichi glanced at him. Mikey looked so peaceful, he had never seen him like this.
'Are you staying with me a little longer ?' Mikey asked.
Takemichi knew he was not asking him to stay until the end of the festival. Mikey understood that there were two versions of him. The one to the past and the one to the future. Even if he did not know about his time travel, he knew that Takemichi was different and that sometimes he was not the same person for several days.
'Okay, I'll stay a bit.'
Mikey smiled and just for that, Takemichi was willing to stay in the past a little longer.
The end
