A brave little girl went first during the night war. Every child knew that this wasn't a game, it was war. Students stayed at school overnight, prepared for the war. It was no game, so when the bravest girl went first, she was warned of that fact from the teacher.

She grabbed a lantern and went to the first room and wrote her name. "Adelka." One step of the way there. That was just the beginning, she needed to have her name written on the board in every room.

When she stepped out of the room, her mouth was covered as she was pulled away from the boy coming towards the room. Her lantern clanged on the ground in front of the boy.

She did not make it through the night war. No, she wasn't killed. Shadows used the kids they took as apprentices. The girl was by far the youngest, so she would last the longest.

Because daylight dropped, Adelka forgot her past. That was always the scariest part of night war, if you don't write your name on every board by daylight, you forget everything.

Training was given in preparation for next year, while the school mourned Adelka, afterall death was considered a better outcome.

Adelka trained for her goal. This was the only goal on her mind, to help the Shadows. Her training was on how to help the Shade's Apprentices when they were getting new warriors for their group.
