Chapter 1: The Beginning

Once upon a time, in the country of Australia, lived two families; one was a family of red and blue Heelers, the other was a family of gray and purple Heelers, but mostly, they're all blue Heelers. One day, when school was out for the summer, something weird but magical happened to four Heeler puppies; Bluey, Bingo, Muffin, and Socks.

All four puppies were just running in the backyard laughing, playing, and talking about what they were gonna do this summer, Bluey suggested something that no other child would want to agree with, "Hey guys, Let's go for a walk in the woods!" Bingo hopped in shock, "W-What? On our own? Like, just the four of us without our parents?" Bluey nodded happily, then looked at their cousins, "What do you two say? Are you all with me?" Muffin's tail wagged harder than a child fidgeting their pencil on the tips of their fingers, then she let out a great big, "YES!" Socks just smiled and agreed with Bluey. "Great! Let's walk in the woods!" The two pups followed Bluey to the woods, and Bingo walked slowly behind the trio hesitantly.

The three pups talked and laughed as they walked through the woods, but Bingo wasn't laughing nor talking, she was scared out of her wits. She ran up to Bluey and tugged her arm, "Bluey, I don't want to be in here anymore, please can we go back to the house..?" Bluey looked at Bingo, who's eyes were now shiny and filled with tears. "But, Bingo," Bluey said, "I really want this summer to be a fun and daring summer, starting with us adventuring through these woods." Bingo looked down at the ground and let out a sniffle, "Well, I thought it was going to be a regular summer doing our regular things…" A single tear dropped out of Bingo's eye. Bluey rolled her eyes and grabbed Bingo by her hand, "Fine… Come on…" The group started to walk back to the house expecting to be bored out of their minds, that is until a mysterious wisp like rope grabbed onto Bingo's right leg. "BINGO!" Bluey shouted as she tried her hardest not to let her sister go. "Girls! Help me!" Muffin grabbed Bluey by her body and Socks grabbed Muffin by her tail. More wisp like ropes grabbed Bingo, while another one grabbed Bluey's hand. Before they knew it, they all were dragged into a dark void that was carved in a tree. Their high pitched screams of terror were the last things to fade before disappearing into the dark void.

"It's really quiet today!" Bandit said as he looked his wife, Chilli, "A little too quiet..."

"Now that you said something," Chilli said, also looking at Bandit, "I haven't seen the girls come in since they all went out to play together."

"They're probably exhausted from all the screaming and excitement." Trixie said as she walked in from the kitchen, "And knowing my girls, they would immediately come running in and have their favorite snack." Trixie opened up some multi colored popsicles, which had the colors blue, orange, and purple that all mixed into the color gray.

"Kids! I got some popsicles!" Trixie yelled as she made her way to the back door. She peaked out of the door, and to her surprise, the kids were nowhere to be seen. "Kids? Where are you?" She called out once more. "Oh, I see what you're doing," Trixie smirked, "You're all gonna pop out and scare me like you always do. Well, you're not gonna fool me this time!" She slowly walked towards a bush where the kids always hid in order to scare the parents. "I FOUND-" To her horrifying surprise, the bush was empty. "Oh, no..." She backed away form the bush and looked around the backyard, she was breathing heavily, and her limbs were shaking. "No, no, no, no, no!" Tears began to form in her eyes, "NO, NO, NO!"

"Trixie? Are you okay?" Chilli asked as she, Bandit, and Stripe made their way outside.

"NO! I'M NOT OKAY! OUR KIDS ARE MISSING!" Trixie went on all fours and sobbed, leaving Chilli, Bandit, And Stripe horrified.

"What...? No, they couldn't just run off anywhere without us." Stripe said to Trixie, "They always come running in the house to ask us if they could go somewhere."

"M-Maybe they were... were..." Bandit stammered. Stripe looked at his brother, who dropped to his knees as tears made its way through the Heelers eyes. Stripe knew what Bandit meant, even he was afraid to utter that word.

"Bandit, Chilli," Stripe said sourly, "Ask anyone you know if they've seen our kids roaming around somewhere."

Bandit just looked at his brother in confusion, "W-What are you two gonna do?"

Stripe took his wife by her hand, looked at her, then they both looked at the dark woods. "W-What?! A-Are you two out of your damn minds?!" Bandit exclaimed, "There is no possible way they'd go in there! And knowing Bingo, She wouldn't set foot in there, even if you pay her 5,000 pounds of sherbet!"

"Where else do you think they'd go, Bandit...?" Stripe muttered as he walked towards his brother, "If there's one place where kids like them could easily get lost, it's the dark woods."

"First of all stripe," Bandit interrupted, "How the heck do you know exactly if our kids would have the courage to just wander around in these fucking woods?!"

"Bandit!" Chilli yelled out at her husband's language. Bandit immediately clapped his right hand over his mouth, looked at his brother, then walked shamefully out of the gate.

"B-Bandit..?" Chilli said as she watched her husband walk while his hand still covered up his mouth. "I'll catch up with Bandit, you two quickly and safely look through the woods, okay?" Chilli pointed out as she walked towards the gate.

"I gotcha." Stripe said with a confident expression in his face. He grabbed Trixie's hand, looked at the dark woods, and slowly but quickly walked inside.
