Gargoyles: Stone By Night Season 01 Episode 01
We open up to a man looking at an old castle, it'd been covered in vines and moss from the millennium that it has withstood with the grass overgrown upon the ground. A man with long brown hair and a well kept goatee in a long coat stood in front of the scene before him with a look that was indiferent to the scene that laid before him.
"At last, Castle Wyvern." The man spoke as he'd began to walk up to the scene and explore the area around the castle making it up a tower to the stone statue atop it. He'd pulled off the vines to see the face of the statue and calls "Make the offer now Owen, this instant."
A blond man, presumably Owen, walks up behind him with short hair and glasses walks up to them stating "May I remind you Mr. Xanatos that the cost of this little venture will be astronomical."
"Hire a crew at once I want to begin as soon as possible." The Man, Xanatos, stated to his assistant about whatever they were doing.
"It may prove difficult to find the necessary man power, the locals believe that this castle is haunted." Ownen answered back while placing a call on his cellphone to get started on whatever they were doing right away.
"Well, you know the answer to that Owen, pay a man enough and he'll walk barefoot into hell." Xanatos stated moving another vine from the statue in front of him.
We then cut to crews working on sand blasting the plants and moss appart while others were using plasma torches to cut through the stone carving it into large chunks which were taken away by trucks and helicopters. Fading off to a city we see one such helicopter flying off and up towards the top of the building that was large enough that it was above the clouds as Xanatos had gotten out once they reached the top he'd stood at the top of the tower next to the statue there as if waiting for something as the sun had begun to set.
Strange clouds then began to appear above them despite how high up they were, and rain had began to fall as lightning flashed and thunder roared out. The Statue had then started to crack before splitting apart as a large humanoid creature that had short horns, pointed ears, claws and a tail along with a mane of long black hair had appeared from inside of it grabbing the stone and breaking it apart underneath his hands standing up as his wings spread out and he'd let out a mighty roar.
The other statues below them had also broken appart revealing other creatures that looked to be of different ages and colors with different kinds of wings. One of which had no wings at all and walked upon all fours more like a canine like beast than the humanoid ones.
The large one that was above the others jumped down to join them stating "You are awake, you're alive, we're together again!" happy to see that they were all alive and well.
The clouds under them started to move revealing the city below surprising them as they'd seemed confused by their new surroundings with the eldest one questioning "Where are we?" not understanding what has happened.
Xanatos had walked up to them through a corridor questioning "You are the one called Goliath yes?"
"Yes.." The large one from atop answered back revealing his name was Goliath and we then cut to them inside the castle questioning "How long has it been since we were asleep?"
"This may come as a bit of a shock to you all but you've been asleep for a thousand years." Xanatos anwered back to them revealing just how long they've slept. "I learned about the castle and the six of you from a book that recently came into my possession. The Magus that cursed you wrote the whole story down in there. Now, I'm sure you've all got questions?"
"How did ye break the spell?" The eldest of the group questioned about just how Xanatos was able to free them from their sleep.
"The Spell said you'd wake when the castle rose above the clouds, so I had it and you moved here to atop my company building which doubles as my home." Xanatos answered back about how he'd managed that.
"What about the eggs in the Rookery?" The smallest of the the humanoid creatures questioned about the eggs that were supposed to be in the castle.
"Gone I'm afraid. The Magus had written down that they'd taken them to find a safe place, but as far as I am aware you may be the last of your clan. Though it's possible that others may exist elseware." Answered back Xanatos about what'd happened to them.
"Why have you done all this?" The one known as Goliath questioned Xanatos about undoing the curse and setting them free.
"I was fascinated by the Magus' story and wanted to find out if it was true." He'd answered back standing up from where he'd been leaning against a table before adding "Now that I know it is, I wanna be your friend. It's a new world out there and there's much we can do for each other."
"Such as?" Goliath then questioned just what he was talking about and Xanatos had began to answer but suddenly heard something outside.
"I'm not expecting anyone, stay here you'll be safer that way." Xanatos then told them going to see just what exactly was going on.
Some people had dropped from a helicopter and surrounded Xanatos pointing guns at him as he'd questions "What do you want?"
The creatures had gone to see what was going on and the red one questions "What's going on, who are those guys?"
"They're attacking the castle, that's all we need to know." The eldest one answered back and they'd charged in to help out.
Xanatos had taken advantage and disarmed the one that was pointing a gun at him as the others started fighting as well. They'd all split off to fight the invading force and were battling against them with the group attacking using laser weapons to fight with.
"These weapons, we must be battling Sorcerors!" The Elder one spoke surprised by what was happening all around them.
"Even so, we must protect this castle at all cost, it's all we have left!" Goliath answered back as another guy threw something at them that exploded as they'd jumped out of the way.
"Time to take the gloves off." Xanatos stated aiming at one of the goons that were attacking as another ramed into him as he'd pulled the trigger.
This had caused the gun to misfire and damage part of the castle causing bits and pieces to fall to the ground below, though thankfully no one had been hurt. A woman with Raven colored hair wearing a red shirt had appeared with a siren and lights flashing on her car and got out to check and see just what was going on.
The fighting continued to rage up top as she'd noticed something strange about the stone rubbing her hand across it questioning "Claw marks? What in Manhattan would ever be able to leave claw marks in solid stone?"
Goliath meanwhile had been blown off the building and had to use his claws digging them into the side of the building letting out an unpleasant scraping noise as he'd slowed himself to a stop and started to climb back up again. When he'd gotten there one of them was on top of the smallest of his group and he'd tackled them off of him.
"Just what are you, some kind of alien?" The guy questioned while being held up by his shirt by Goliath.
"WE ARE GARGOYLES!" Goliath shouted at them as the others of the group had started using smoke bombs and one of them used a flare to signal their helicopter to come and pick them up.
"Let's get out of here!" The one with the flare called out as they'd all rushed to the helicopter and began to leave the area quick.
"What were those weapons those guys were using, and what was that creature that carried them off?" The red one questioned about what was going on.
"A dragon no dubt." The eldest one of the group suggested while gesturing to where they'd flown off at.
"It wasn't a dragon, it was a machine of some sort." The smallest of the group stated stepping forwards while on his hands and knees.
"Thank you, without you and your friends who knows what those thugs might have done." Xanatos spoke thanking them for their help.
"Someone I once trusted said the same thing to me, and then destroyed my people." Goliath stated to them still aprehensive of everything that's going on.
"I see that I'll need to work hard to earn your trust." Xanatos stated taking out his phone and calling someone "Owen, we'll need a cleanup crew outside."
"Why were you attacked?" Goliath questioned just why those people had barged in there causing trouble.
"The richer you are the more enemies you have, and I am very rich." Xanatos answered back about why they were attacked. "Goliath this is your home, as well as my Headquarters. I hope you'll consider working with me to keep it safe."
"It's your decision lad but, we've no where else to go." The eldest of the group stated to Goliath about him making the decision.
"This castle, no matter where it has been moved to, is our home. We will stay." Goliath answered about them staying at the castle.
"Excelent, I know you've been used poorly by men in the past but that's all about to change." Xanatos spoke glad to hear they'd stay shaking hands with him.
"One of those men, they called me something.. an alien I believe. Just what exactly is that?" Goliath then questiond Xanatos what that man was talking about.
"Ah yes, Aliens are visitors from beyond the stars." Xanatos answered back gesturing to the night sky.
"Visitors.. from beyond the stars?" The largest pot bellied one of the group questioned unsure if anything like that was even possible.
"They're quite common of a site to see now a days, most are actually rather friendly." Xanatos stated to them about the aliens.
Meanwhile down below, the Cops have set up a perimiter around the building and one of them had been speaking to the woman that we'd seen earlier on asking "What do you think all that was about detective?"
"I don't know, but I'm going to find out." She'd answered back to them about whatever had gone on up above them at the top of the building they were currently standing in front of.
