Drunkenly, I stumbled out of the bar I was just drinking in. Finally being able to have some drunk fun was a victorious feeling. I would've gone out drinking sooner after my 18th birthday but I was busy. Like the careless idiot I was at the moment, I walked down my city street alone at night.

What could even happen? I'd just go home, smoke this joint my friend gave me, then go to bed or something. Might as well enjoy some freedom before college this fall. It didn't even matter if my phone was out of battery, I'd just walk around the part of my city that was full of stores and other business buildings before I reached the part of the city that had more houses and apartments.

The cool summer night felt nice, and the lack of cars passing by was a nice break from the constant noise during the day. As I walked down the street, I passed by an alleyway and heard some noises. I looked down it and noticed a woman dressed in military fatigues making out with some guy she was pinning against the wall.

Lacking the proper mindset I asked, "Hey uh… the fucking… what are you two doing?" She stopped for a second and remained silent for a moment.

Soon she replied, "I'm back from deployment so me and him are just celebrating after hitting up the bar." A mixture of drunken stupidity and being a bit tired prevented me from properly recollecting the people I saw that night at the bar.

There were all types of people that showed up and left, and I was more focused on getting drunk and staying a little while longer after my friends left.

I eventually uttered my slurred response, "Ah, okay. Get home safe. See ya later."

After the brief interaction, I continued walking home. During the walk, I passed by a few 24 hours stores and glanced inside. There seemed to be an increase in soldiers in town for some reason. I didn't pay much mind to it.

Soon after I passed by a hotel and noticed a few military vehicles that looked to be for transporting stuff drive by. Probably something to do with them being back from deployment. Before I reached the end of the street near the hotel, a couple female soldiers approached me, one noticeably taller than the other.

As they got, I was kinda shocked by how tall the other was. She towered over me at around seven feet. "Oh, what are you doing out here alone?" The shorter lady gleefully asked after stopping next to me.

With slurred words I replied, "Just heading home, you know."

A playful smile grew on her face before she replied, "Oh, you probably need someone to watch you if you're drunk."

"Yeah, the three of us can all get to know each other a bit before you bring us back to your bed." The other taller lady added.

As we talked I started to notice things about them that I either didn't notice or didn't care about before. They both wore their helmets and both were armed, which confused me since they should've been back from deployment or something. The lady who first talked to me also seemed to have bright blue hair, and the taller lady sported some tribal looking tattoos on her face which was odd.

"Nah, I think I'll be safe." I said as I walked past them.

The blue haired lady said in a playful tone, "Oh no, it'll be our treat."

I looked back confused and replied, "What? Treat? Whatcha got for me?"

They both looked at each other, then back at me with somewhat devious and seductive smiles. "Something exciting." The taller lady answered in a deep, seductive tone.

Confusion swam around me. "Hmm? Oh, oh, so like… you want a threesome?" I questioned with a semi confused look on my face.

The blue haired lady laughed and said, "Of course cutie."

I was flattered and intrigued, but my morals drove me to say, "Nah, we shouldn't. I'm drunk so like, we can't do things you know? Anyways, I'll see you two later." After saying that, I turned back around and continued walking down the sidewalk.

The blue haired lady grabbed my shoulder and in a more demanding tone said, "No, you're not leaving."

As she grabbed my shoulder, what felt like a small jolt of electricity shocked my shoulder. I swatted her hand away in panic and said, "Dude, what the fuck?! What was… I don't want to fuck, leave me alone."

I was about to turn and run when a more serious yet playful look grew on their faces. Before I could move, I heard the sound of people running and shouting in the distance. I looked over and saw a small group of guys turn the corner of the building as if they were running away from something.

Shortly after turning the corner, a lady, one who was rather tall and wearing the same fatigues as the ones I was talking to, tackled one of the guys. She flipped him over and looked over at me and the other two soldiers. Confusion, fear, and whatever else I felt so far was tripled as I saw what the lady who tackled the guy looked like.

Her skin was almost pitch black, she had reddish orange eyes, and her hands seemed to be covered in fur. They were humanoid, but they had pawlike features. None of that seemed as strange as the two literal flames streaming from both of her eyes. As she stared at me and the other two, the guy's friends came over and tried to get her off of him.

The two ladies I was talking to aimed their guns at them and started shouting orders. This entire situation told me to find someplace to hide so I ran toward the hotel I was passing by. As I did, the two soldiers I was talking with noticed me running and the taller one ran after me while yelling for me to stop.

I ignored her and reached the hotel throwing the doors open and slamming them behind me. I fumbled the lock closed and stepped back as I heard what sounded like the lady trying to kick the door down. I turned to the receptionist's desk to ask whoever was working there to call the police, but no one was there.

There was a door behind the desk that was open with the lights on so I figured they were doing something. I went over to get they're attention, stepping around the desk instead of ringing the bell. I pushed the door open and questioned my own sanity upon looking inside.

There was a soldier, a lady like the rest who had animal-like fur and paws, bat wings, and a tail. A fucking tail with a spiked bulb at the end along with a fleshy opening at the end. Underneath her was the receptionist who was seemingly paralyzed, along with a spike similar to the one on her tail stuck in his shoulder.

She looked at me with a surprised and curious look before it turned into a careless smile. "What the fuck!? How in the hell does that… what are you?!" I drunkenly shouted.

"Why don't you ask the other ladies in the building? I'm sure they'd love to see you. Now leave, I'm busy." She sadistically replied before she began to tear off the receptionist's clothes.

I slammed the door and backed away, stumbling over in the process. I looked over to the hallway, planning on finding someone else to ask for help. I walked over to it and looked down it to see a few more soldiers, again all women, walking down it. They saw me and started to run over so I panicked and ran away from the hall./p

Not knowing what to do or where to go I ran to the fire exit and stepped out and into an alleyway. I ran in a random direction, taking random turns down the streets and avoiding similar soldiers, again all women with various inhuman features among some of them./p

After getting myself lost, I figured there was nothing I could do. I didn't know where I was, these soldiers seemed to be everywhere, my phone was dead, I was even drunk so I couldn't even comprehend what to do. Maybe I was even drugged or something at the bar, none of this seemed real, none of this could be real.

Not knowing what to do, I looked around for a semi comfortable place to sleep. I eventually found what looked to be a car someone tried to flee those soldiers with since there were keys in the ignition and the door was open. The engine was already started so I waited for a while, eventually coming to the conclusion that whoever owned it probably got pulled out of it before driving off.

I mean, he had to right? These weird women tackled the other guy and paralyzed the receptionist, why wouldn't they pull someone out of their car? And what did they want with them to begin with?

I took the keys out and locked the doors, laying down in the dark backseat of this random car. Throughout the rest of the night, I kept waking up to a gradual increase of chaos. It started with police sirens passing by and in the distance, then the occasional gunshot in the distance. Over time the sirens became more rampant along with the sound of gunshots from seemingly all directions. The sound of cars passing by, probably to escape whatever was going on, picked up for a while before they stopped.

After that, there was just silence. I managed to get bits of sleep throughout the night until the light came up. Even then, I was still too afraid to leave the car I was in. I tried to keep my eyes closed, hoping something good would happen. Regardless of what I wanted, I eventually had to sit up and leave the car. I was no longer drunk and I would have got home to see if my family was okay.

I opened the door and stepped out, momentarily questioning whether or not to drive back in this car. The owner of it never came back, so it's likely he doesn't need it anymore. However, since whatever the hell was going on just started there was no need to hijack some random guy's car when I was about a fifteen minute walk home.

Cautiously, I walked home. Along my walk, I passed by stores that looked to have been ransacked, cars that bore elements of failed escape similar to the one I slept in, the shocking sight of a couple cars that crashed, and a police cruiser that was filled with bullet holes from a gunfight.

Throughout my walk I passed by the occasional person who, like myself, was walking to check on certain places, gazing upon the fucked up sights that were on every street. We'd usually glance at each other, sometimes ask about what happened or see if anyone knew what was going on. The most I could gather was that soldiers who seemed to all be women went around cuffing and tranquilizing people before driving them away.

Three things seriously concerned me the most after we talked. The first being the inhuman features of a lot of the women. From what some passerby's told me, some had fur, scales, tails, wings, horns, and other stuff. Some of them even used magic, fucking magic.

The second thing that was brought to my attention was the sexual aggression of them toward men. A few passerby's witnessed the soldiers attempting or succeeding in removing their clothes and raping them. It didn't happen to all men, but there were a few select situations where the passerby's witnessed that.

The last thing that shocked me the most, and even though explaining some things only brought me more questions. A passerby who witnessed quite a lot since they spent a long time trying to find a safe place to hide apparently saw what happens to the majority of people. Younger men and women, along with children were put onto transport trucks after being knocked out. Those who were noticeably old or unpleasant looking were apparently executed instead of loaded up and transported.

Hearing that they did that made things, the world, whatever the hell was going on feel soulless. The building hatred and fear I had towards that was soon replaced with shock as the passerby described something else he saw. He said that the transport trucks, around half a dozen of them lined up as a couple soldiers did something in front of them. A white portal appeared in front of the trucks before they drove through it. I didn't know if I could believe this guy's story, but given everything else going on who was I to say he was wrong?

During the walk, I would sometimes have to hide under or behind parked cars to avoid small groups of roaming soldiers or those transport trucks driving by. Despite all that, I made it back to the house-filled section of the city. As I walked by the houses, the gut wrenching feeling of something jumping out and getting me became nearly painful. It didn't help that I passed by rows of cars in some streets as if they were blocked off by something. Some of the cars were still running.

Some houses I passed by had bullet holes and blood indicating some sort of fight. I did my best to avoid looking at them.

Again, I passed by the occasional person, either walking down the street looking for answers or help, or driving by in a car filled with their belongings. A couple of the drivers offered me a ride out of our city, but most didn't. Regardless, I just wanted to see if my family was okay first.

I eventually reached my family's house. The car was still in the driveway which gave me an uneasy feeling. Upon stepping inside, the deafening silence hit me. It didn't take long before I confirmed the house as empty. If what I was told were true, my family was likely taken prisoner and sent through those portals.

Processing what to feel at the moment was impossible, I just couldn't comprehend this situation and how it was even possible or even the fact I had no family. With nothing else to do, I grabbed my family's keys and some other stuff around the house. After loading up the car I just sat in the driver's seat. Unsure about what happened or where to go or what to do, I took out the joint my friend gave me. I lit it, took a puff, and just stared out at the newly broken world around me.

Chapter end.
