Avenging Flash
Chapter One: Loki's Arrival.
(2012, Shield/Nasa Facility)
A shadow black Shield Transport Chopper touched down on the tarmac outside the entrance to hangar A. And two high ranking Shield agents stepped out of the vehicle, Maria Hill and Nick Fury.
"How bad is it?" Nicholas 'J' Fury asked his subordinate and close friend, Philip Coulson who greeted them at the entrance to Hangar A.
"That's the thing sir. We don't know." Agent Coulson replied grimly, shutting the door for his superior as he got out of the Shield Helicopter.
"Doctor Selvig read an energy surge from within the tesseract around four hours ago." Coulson continued, walking alongside his superiors.
"I didn't authorize for the team to go into test phase." Fury frowned.
"They weren't testing it, Eric wasn't even In the room. It was a spontaneous event." Coulson reported.
It just turned itself on?" Hill exclaimed, blinking in shock, That shouldn't be Possible.
"They weren't testing it, Eric wasn't even In the room. It was a spontaneous event." Coulson Reported.
"It just turned itself on?" Hill exclaimed, blinking In shock. That wasn't good, the tesseract was many things, but none of them were predictable.
"Where are the energy levels now?" Fury requested, ever the face of professionalism.
"Climbing, when Selvig couldn't shut it down we ordered an evac" Coulson replied, his face also emotionless.
"How long to get everyone out?" Fury asked.
"Campus should be clear in the next half hour." Coulson replied.
"Do better." Fury ordered.
Coulson merely nodded before turning around to go and oversee the rest of the evacuation process. As he did this, Fury and Hill walked down a flight of stairs that went deeper into the facility. " want all phase two prototypes shipped out In the hour, is that understood?" Fury ordered his SIC.
"Sir is that really a priority right now?" Hill asked with a Frown.
"Unless there is a time that the world ends, we Will continue to operate as if it intends to keep Spinning. Do I make myself clear?" Nick replied.
"Yes sir." Hill confirmed, splitting up from her superior as she went to secure the tesseract Weapons. Taking two armed guards with her.
(Underground Bunker/Tesseract Research Lab)
"Talk to me Doctor." Fury said as he entered The huge room, walking down a flight of metal stairs and into the huge area.
"Director." Eric acknowledged with a nod, Walking over to his current boss.
"Is there anything we know for certain?" Fury asked, looking over the man's shoulder at the specialist equipment.
"The tesseract is misbehaving, it's being a real pain In the ass. The cube is a power source, every time we turn the power off, it turns it back on again." Selvig reported. "It's throwing out all kinds of interference, including Radiation. Don't worry though, nothing harmful, there's only very little amounts of gamma radiation."
"That can be harmful." Fury remarked, referencing the Hulk. "Where's Agent Barton?" he asked.
"The Hawk? Up in his nest, as per usual." Erik Replied, rolling his eyes as he went back to observing his equipment. Typing out some more calculations onto his computer.
"Agent Barton, report."

"Well as far as I know, nobody has tampered With anything this end. Selvig is clean, No contacts or friends except for the two Scientists back in Nevada. Nobody really Leaves, and everyone has been fully vetted." Agent Clint Barton Replied, having used a rope to fall to the ground. "So any tampering done wasn't at this end." He added.
This end?" Fury questioned with a raised eyebrow, following his subordinate as they walked past the science stations.
"Well yeah, the cube is basically a doorway through space Right? And like a door, it opens both ways." The archer explained, gesturing to the circular device the Tesseract was currently in.
Suddenly, bluish white energy pulsed out from the cube and blasted out through the whole facility like a giant shockwave, Causing an earthquake within the surrounding area of about five mile.
Coulson and Hill both felt it from where they were on the campus and rushed back to the main building, knowing something was wrong.
Back within the bunker, a number of things had happened. One, a large beam of energy had shot out from the cube and created a blue dome of energy around the main platform, Two, the dome crackled and then expanded, revealing a void of black with stars spread all over. And three, the dome then fell, revealing a kneeling man who had a creepy smile. Sweat dripping down from his face.
"Sir, please drop the spear." Fury requested, pouting to the weapon in the man's hand. The man looked down at said weapon before tightening his grip on the spear, as if angered He then fired a blast of blue energy from his weapon, directly at where fury was standing
Thankfully, Barton had quick reflexes and pushed his superior to the floor. Allowing the blast to fly past them and strike some equipment instead.
Almost immediately, chaos erupted. A squad of fully armed Shield Guards opened fire on the unknown hostile, pumping out round after round of bullets onto their target.
Somehow though, the bullets did no damage to the man and merely bounced off of his armour. Allowing him to cut down the men who dare attack him with ease.
Barton tried to rush the man, only to be stopped a moment later by his strong grip. "You have heart." He muttered, finally revealing his voice.
With a gentle press of his spearhead to Barton's chest Region, the man took control of the agent's mind. Allowing the dark blue energy to seep into the human's eyes.
While this was happening, fury had managed to crawl over to the tesseract, remove it, and then secure it in a specially designed suitcase.
"Please don't, I still need that." The unknown man said, having turned to face him.
'Damn, he must have enhanced senses' fury mentally cursed, slowly turning to glare back at his new enemy.
"This doesn't have to get messier." he told the man.
"Of course it does, I have come to far for anything else. I am Loki, of Asgard." The man replied, narrowing his eyes.
"Loki. Brother of Thor!" Eric gasped, realizing who this man was.
"We have no quarrel with your people." Fury stated, confused as to why this man would attack them when they have a good relationship with the people of Asgard.
"An ant has no quarrel with a boot." Loki retorted.
"Are you intending to step on us?" Fury sneered, eyes narrowed.
"I come with glad tidings, of a world made free." Loki replied.
"Free from what?" Fury questioned
"Freedom, freedom is life's greatest lie. And when you except that, in your heart.. you will know peace," Loki smirked, tapping his spear against Selvig's chest.
"Yeah when you say peace. I think you mean the other thing." Fury grumbled.
"Sir, Fury is stalling. The place is about to blow and when it does it will drop a hundred feet of rubble right on top of us. He means to Bury us all." Barton stated, eyes cold.
"Like the Pharaoh's of old." Fury smirked, knowing his game was up.
"Barton is correct sir, the energy is collapsing in on itself. We've got maybe two minutes before this goes critical." Eric confirmed.
"Well then.." Loki trailed off, nodding Towards Fury.
Barton instantly pulled out his weapon and Fired three rounds into fury's chest, knocking The man down.
Loki stepped forward and picked up the Briefcase before giving it to Barton, so that he Can carry it for him.
They then left for the garage.

"Project KR is secure and in motion. Director, what do we do now?" Agent Coulson asked over the comms.
"We lick our wounds and let damage control Help our agents out, It's time for us to initiate The Avengers Protocol." Director Fury replied.
(Hours later, in some abandoned warehouse)
"TlocnywaĆ-"
"You are at 113 Celesnky plaza, we have an F22 about eight miles out, Put the woman on the phone or it will blow the block before you can even make the lobby." Coulson said firmly from the other end of the call.
An older Russian general blinked before swallowing the nervous lump in his throat, he then quickly put the phone to a lovely redhead's ear, this way she could speak to the person on the other end.
"Coulson, what are you doing? I'm working right now and this idiot is giving me everything" The dangerously beautiful Black Widow said.
"I not give everything?" the general blinked, turning to look at his companions for reassurance. His English was terrible and his men merely shrugged.
Natasha Romanov just gave him a 'Really' look. Little did she know that in a few seconds time her fun would be run short due to four specific words.
"Nat, Barton's been compromised" Phil revealed with a sigh.
Natasha's expression darkened, and her tone went cold. "Give me a second." She told him.
Philip merely listened as his good friend broke from her restraints and then proceeded to beat the ever living hell out of the Russian scumbags, honestly it was entertaining. But Phil felt anything but joyful right now, the world was at stake.
About a minute later, her voice was back.
"Tell me everything." Natasha muttered, a cold Calm overcoming her.
"I'I brief you once your back, For now though, Fury needs you to talk to the big guy." Coulson Replied.
"Coulson, you know stark only trusts me as far As he can throw me." Nat snorted, shaking her Head.
"Oh l've got stark, you got the big guy." Coulson replied with a smirk.
Natasha cursed in Russian before hanging up The phone, amusing Coulson greatly.
As the man put his phone away, he noticed a recently promoted young woman walking out of the director's office.
"Agent Danvers, where is fury sending you?" he asked.
"To pick up the crimson comet." She replied with a smirk, confusing Coulson greatly.
(Central City)
"Nicely done Flash, the CCPD have just arrived On scene so you can head back now. I'd say You've done enough for the day." Harrison Wells Complimented the young man, looking down at His watch. It was currently four in the afternoon.
"You sure? Because I'm still full of energy. I kind of wanna do more." The teenage speedster replied over The comms, leaving the tied up crooks for the Police to deal with.
"That is admirable of you Flash, but you need to Learn to not push yourself too much. You could end up hurting yourself or use up to much energy." Caitlin reminded the teenager.
"Fine, I'm on my way back. By the way cisco, Saw this new comic place we've got our eye on Open up. They've got novels and collectibles we might be interested in." Barry said.
"Dude, the second I get off work you better Meet me there." Cisco grinned, more than happy to explore a new comic store with his young friend.
Meet you there? Brother I'm picking you up and Running you there." Barry replied, causing Wells To shake his head with a sigh.
"Flash, need I remind you that-"
"I know Doctor Wells, keep my secret identity Closely guarded. I just wanted a reaction from You, cisco we'll have to take your car." Barry chuckled.
In a crescendo of thunder, Barry appeared before them. Orange-Gold lightning sparking across his very form as his molecules slowed down. "Miss me?" he joked.
"Welcome back mister Allen, I see that you have gotten faster." Wells smiled, glad to see his young friend was progressing so quickly.
"Yeah, for a few moments it felt like I wasn't in central city anymore." Barry replied, taking off his cowl to reveal a full head of brown curly Hair.
Wells frowned. "What do you mean?" He asked.
"Well I could have sworn I was in a Corridor of multicoloured lightning. If just for a second." Barry shrugged, taking a sip of his Protein shake.
Caitlin had managed to make a milkshake version of her protein bars, it tasted a bit better than the bars themselves, but Barry wouldn't Say that to her face of course.
"Amazing. Perhaps this energy that flows through you has a realm of its own, another dimension even. The Reverse Flash did speak of a speed force, did he not?" Wells pointed out, rubbing his chin in thought.
"I can definitely feel something when ! run quicker. It's like electricity, it feels good. I can feel it at my fingertips, and when I concentrate-" Barry trailed off. A spark of gold went across both of his hands, creating the symbol on his chest before dissipating.
Wells watched this with shock. 'He's incredibly fast, defeating Eobard must have given him more confidence.' the man noticed.
"As interesting as that is, I'm afraid you're going to have to pin in that and do some more research on it at a later time" A silky feminine voice stated, using everyone to look towards to the cortex Entrance.
Standing there with a smirk on her face was a young woman with short red hair.
"As I told Shield in the past, I am more than happy to consult with them, but I will not join The organisation officially." Harrison said, moving his wheelchair to be in front of Barry. He recognised the Symbol on her coat, and glared at her.
"Sorry Wells, I'm not here for you. We've got a situation brewing, we need kid bolt here for Something that's coming" Agent Danvers said, Looking to Barry.
Said teenager stopped sipping his shake for a second and merely blinked. "Huh? You need The Flash?"
"Excuse me?" Alex blinked
"It's what his ex named him on her blog, The Flash. He liked it, so that's what we call him." Cisco Pointed out, gesturing to the lightning bolt Symbol on his computer monitor.
"Okay then, yes. We need you Flash, it's life or Death." Alex replied.
Barry looked to Harrison, who shrugged. "it's Your decision Barry, we are your team and Support. And Shield doesn't ask for help unless its serious, so its up to you."
Barry nodded, putting on a serious face. "Okay Then...you need the fastest boy alive, you've Got him." He smirked, putting a hand on his hip before going back to sipping his shake.
Alex smirked. 'He's adorable, I can see why my adoptive Niece has a crush on his alter ego.' she thought to herself.
