Summary: Angelica and Zoey celebrate their friendship with a special sleepover at Angelica's house.
It was a splendid late afternoon in Yucaipa, California at Drew's house as Angelica was getting ready for a sleepover with her friend Zoey Anderson.
"I can't wait for the sleepover with my friend daddy," said Angelica.
"Of course, Princess" replied Drew. "You'll have an excellent sleepover when you see what's for dinner and dessert" he added.
Angelica nodded. Moments later, the doorbell rang, and Drew answered it and saw the Andersons waiting there.
"Good afternoon" greeted Drew.
"Good afternoon" replied the Andersons in unison.
"Thank you for having me over Mr. Pickles," said Zoey.
"No problem" replied Drew.
"Have fun and be good sweetie" said Zoey's Grandmother.
"Don't worry, I will" replied Zoey.
Zoey's Grandparents got into their car and drove away as Drew led Zoey inside where Angelica was waiting.
"Hi Angelica," said Zoey.
"Hi Zoey" replied Angelica as the two girls embraced one another.
"I'm looking forward to our sleepover as the bestest of friends Angelica," said Zoey.
"Me too Zoey" replied Angelica.
Drew then came into the living room.
"Hi daddy," said Angelica.
"Hi Princess. Why don't you show your friend to your room. While you are doing that, how would you two like to try your hands at making a pizza for dinner and chocolate chip cookies for dessert?" said Drew.
"Yeah, we'd like that" replied Angelica.
"Yeah, I'm on board too" added Zoey.
"Splendid. But I need to get things set up in the kitchen first," said Drew.
And Angelica led Zoey upstairs to her room. Fluffy was awakening from a deep sleep on Angelica's bed when the girls entered the room.
"Hey Fluffy, we've got company" said Angelica as she helped Zoey set up her sleeping bag.
"Fluffy is sweet isn't she," said Zoey.
"She's sweet enough to pet nice and gentle" replied Angelica.
It wasn't too long before the girls set up Zoey's sleeping bag as they hung out in the bedroom for a while.
"Fluffy's fur is really fluffy" said Zoey as she petted her nice and gently.
"Thanks" replied Angelica. "After what happened a whole bunch of yesterdays on that cruise, I felt it would be best if I trained her to be sweet and gentle anytime I have visitors"
"That's cool" replied Zoey.
"And you know something else?" said Angelica.
"What's that?" asked Zoey.
"Well...after our shaky first meeting and earning your forgiveness afterward, not only did I get to know you as well as you getting to know me, I had time to think about my actions and everything I did to the people I know. I know full well I was wrong to do what I did in the past. And after that nightscare bacation (nightmare vacation) finally came to an end, I believed that by the miracle of Bob (God) I truly received the forgiveness from Susie and those smart babies. Even after I was bullied hard by my evil cousin Anthony and almost gave him satisfaction, I was very surprised that you wanted to be my bestest friend in spite of my past. You've helped make my world wonderful after that cruise. You've been a wonderful and supportive friend to Me, Susie and those smart babies. You're the bestest friend I could ever have Zoey" finished Angelica.
Zoey took in what Angelica was saying. Finally, she said...
"Angelica, if I didn't believe that you had any good in you unlike your evil cousin Anthony, I wouldn't have approached you. By now, everyone knows you have good in your heart. And I'm proud to call you my bestest friend in the whole wild world," said Zoey as she placed Fluffy back on the bed.
"Thank you, Zoey," replied Angelica.
Both girls embraced one another. Then they heard Drew calling their names from downstairs.
"Sounds like my daddy has gotten things set up in the kitchen," said Angelica.
"Let's go down and see" replied Zoey.
Both girls headed downstairs to the kitchen and saw Drew with a chef's hat and apron on. There was a large pizza pie dough that Drew made in advance and there were pizza toppings, pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese all sitting at the ready.
"Wow are we gonna make pizza out of all this daddy?" asked Angelica.
"Absolutely" replied Drew. "I already got the pizza dough laid out for you. Let's see how you girls do with putting all the ingredients together before we put it in the oven for baking"
"Okay Mr. Pickles" replied Zoey before she turned to Angelica. "C'mon Angelica, let's get to work"
Angelica nodded as both girls got their aprons on and began putting the ingredients on the large pizza dough.
"Okay, I think the firstest thing we do is spread the pizza sauce all around the large pizza dough," said Zoey.
"That's correct" replied Drew.
And Angelica and Zoey each grabbed a jar of pizza sauce and spread the sauce all around the large pizza dough.
"Excellent" said Drew. "And what is the next step to making pizza?"
"I believe we spread the cheese in a similar fashion like we did with the pizza sauce" replied Angelica.
"Exactly" replied Drew.
And the girls each grabbed a bag of mozzarella cheese and spread it all around the large pizza dough.
"Looking good so far girls," said Drew. "And now for the final step"
"We put the toppings on the pizza!" said Angelica and Zoey in unison.
Drew nodded as the girls grabbed their hands on the pepperoni and Italian sausage and placed both toppings together all around the pizza.
"Good job," said Drew. "Now we'll place the pizza in the oven for about 20 minutes"
Drew then placed the pizza in the oven to bake. 20 minutes later, the oven timer rang, and Drew got the pizza out of the oven.
"Mmmm, this pizza smells good," said Drew. "Girl's pizza time!" he called.
"The girls hurried to the kitchen table and smelled the aroma of pizza.
"Mmmm, that sure smells good," said Angelica.
"Uh-huh" agreed Zoey.
Drew brought the pizza to the table as the girls eyed their creation in amazement.
"Oooooh!" went Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"I also baked some garlic bread to go along with it" added Drew.
Drew and the girls were soon eating their dinner.
"Mmmm, this is delicious," said Angelica.
"Mmmm, yummy stuff" added Zoey.
As they ate, the sun had set for the day and it was nighttime. The stars were out and there was a full moon.
"Before we make chocolate chip cookies, why don't you girls take in the nighttime sky with marshmallows while I get things set to make dessert" suggested Drew.
"Sure" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
After dinner was finished, Angelica headed upstairs to get her battery powered campfire toy, whilst Drew got the marshmallows for the girls to eat out in the backyard and tidy up the kitchen a bit to make chocolate chip cookies.
"Ahhhh, this is great. A nice campfire, yummy marshmallows, the stars are out and my bestest friend is with me," said Angelica.
"Uh-huh" agreed Zoey.
As the girls ate their marshmallows, they gazed up at the nighttime sky with the stars overhead.
"Hmmm, I bet with a little imagination, You and I could go on an epic outside space mission" suggested Zoey.
"An outside space adventure with my bestest friend in the whole wild world sounds cool to me" replied Angelica.
Zoey nodded. At that moment, the backyard transformed into the moon as the girls found themselves inside Cynthia's Martian Space Base clad in their space outfits.
"Wow!" exclaimed Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"Cool space dress Angelica," said Zoey.
"Thanks, yours is cool too" replied Angelica.
At that moment, the sliding door opened, and Cynthia appeared.
"Hello girls," said Cynthia.
"Hi" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"What's our outside space mission for today, Cynthia?" asked Angelica.
Before Cynthia could answer, the alarms blared loudly as Cynthia quickly led the girls and headed for a room that housed the bases computer system. Once there, they saw that the computer screen showed an "ALERT". When Cynthia keyed in the code to see what was up, the trio were in for a rude awakening.
"It's an ambush of Martians!" exclaimed Cynthia.
"Woah! That's a nasty looking battalion of battleships they have coming right at us," said Zoey.
"I wonder who is leading the pack?" wondered Angelica.
At that moment, an incoming message appeared on the computer screen. Cynthia clicked on it and the face of a Martian leader appeared. Cynthia, Angelica and Zoey gasped at the sight.
"Surprised to see Me!?" said the Martian leader.
"Anthony! You're their leader?" said a bewildered Angelica.
"That's right!" said Anthony the Martian leader. "Resistance is FUTILE! Join us and we'll rule the entire Galaxy!"
"Never!" said Cynthia, Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"Very well. We'll just destroy you instead! BWA-HA-HA-HA!" laughed Anthony the Martian leader.
The call then ended.
"Quick girls, to the battleships. We have plenty of firepower to launch a counterstrike. Just think of the battle as if it were an arcade game," said Cynthia.
"Roger!" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
The trio quickly headed for their battleships and took off to face the Martian fleet head on.
"Well-well-well. It looks like the infantry is gonna ram us with their puny little toys. MARTIANS FIRE ALL WEAPONS NOW!" ordered Anthony the Martian leader.
As the Martian fleet fired their weapons at once, Cynthia, Angelica and Zoey got ready to fight.
"Alright you girls ready?" asked Cynthia.
"Ready!" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
The trio quickly scrambled in all directions as they pressed a button that changed their battleships to cloaking mode that made it difficult for the enemy to anticipate and intercept. This left the Martian fleet dumbfounded and confused.
"Huh?! Where did they do?" wondered Anthony the Martian leader.
Before the Martian fleet knew it, there were scores of laser blasts firing rapidly as Cynthia, Angelica and Zoey were rapidly destroying the Martian fleet of battleships by the second.
"WHAT!" exclaimed Anthony the Martian leader. "WHERE ARE YOU COWARDS?!"
"We're right here invistible (invisible)!" said Angelica and Zoey in unison as they flew fast and continued firing laser blasts at the Martian fleet.
After several minutes, much of the Martian fleet of battleships was destroyed. Only Anthony the Martian leader remained with his battleship as Cynthia, Angelica and Zoey disengaged the cloaking mode from their battleships and were visible once again.
"ALRIGHT YOU COWARDLY FOOLS NOW IT'S JUST YOU AND ME!" snapped Anthony the Martian leader.
"Bring it on space boy!" said Cynthia.
"Yeah!" added Angelica and Zoey in unison.
Anthony the Martian leader fired all his weapons at once. Cynthia, Angelica and Zoey scrambled quickly.
"ARRRGH! IF YOU"RE NOT YELLOW COME OUT AND FIGHT ME!" snapped Anthony the Martian leader.
"Sure, we'll fight you" said Angelica sarcastically.
"THEN FACE ME!" snapped Anthony the Martian leader.
Obviously, the girls were keeping Anthony the Martian leader distracted from the front, whilst Cynthia snuck up from behind and rapidly started firing laser blasts from her battleship.
"AHHHHH!" exclaimed Anthony the Martian leader as he tried firing his weapons, but they were malfunctioning.
"Quick girls, he's defenseless!" said Cynthia.
"Let's finish him!" said Angelica and Zoey in unison.
The trio then fired their weapons against Anthony the Martian leader and destroyed his battleship in a huge blast.
"NOOOOOOO!" screamed Anthony the Martian leader as they left him floating at the mercy of less gravity in space. "You'll pay for this humiliation!"
The trio then flew back to Cynthia's Martian Space Base on the moon.
"Congratulations girls. Because of your efforts, we saved the galaxy from total destruction," said Cynthia.
"Thanks" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
The scene then shifted back to the backyard of Angelica's house.
"Wow! That outside space mission was cool," said Zoey.
"Yeah, it was. Especially with my bestest friend by my side" replied Angelica.
Drew then came out to the backyard.
"Hey you two. Are you ready to help make chocolate chip cookies for dessert?" asked Drew.
"Yeah!" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
And the girls headed inside to the kitchen and saw all the ingredients and utensils for making chocolate chip cookies laid out before them.
"You girls ready to get to work?" asked Drew.
"Yes" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
The girls soon got to work making chocolate chip cookies. They stirred and mixed all the ingredients following Drew's instructions. The girls were soon a mess from the work with making dessert, but they still found it fun. After a while, the chocolate chip cookies were ready to be placed into the oven.
"Good job girls" said Drew as he placed the chocolate chip cookies into the oven.
"Thanks" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"I'll get this place cleaned up. You girls can lick the bowl if you want," said Drew.
The girls grinned at that, and they licked the bowl while Drew cleaned up the kitchen. After about 8 to 10 minutes, the oven timer rang, and Drew took the cookies out of the oven. The aroma of the cookies caught the girl's attention.
"Mmmmm" went Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"Let's dig in shall we," said Drew.
Drew and the girls ate the chocolate chip cookies and found them delicious.
"These cookies are super," said Zoey.
"I love these cookies" added Angelica.
"I'm glad you like them" replied Drew. "Before changing into your pajamas and having a little more fun before bedtime, how about getting cleaned up a little" he added.
The girls nodded. After dessert was finished, Drew ran a nice warm bath for the girls and left them to bathe in peace.
"That's a cool speed boat Angelica," said Zoey.
"Thanks. Cynthia likes water skiing on her Cynthia speed boat" replied Angelica.
"You know, with a little imagination again, I bet you and I can go on an epic water-skiing adventure" suggested Zoey.
"I like what I'm hearing" replied Angelica.
The scene then transformed into the middle of the ocean as Angelica and Zoey found themselves water-skiing from Cynthia's speed boat, clad in their bathing suits and had life-vests on for safety's sake.
"Wow! We're really water-skiing out in the middle of the ocean," said Angelica.
"Yeah! This is fun" replied Zoey.
At that moment, Cynthia's speed boat navigated around in circles a few times as the girls held on tight.
"Weeeeee!" exclaimed the girls in unison.
"How are you liking the warm surf girls!?" shouted Cynthia.
"Awesome!" shouted the girls in unison.
"Great! We're headed for my Hawaiian Holiday Beach Hut for some fun in the sun!" shouted Cynthia.
"Cool!" shouted the girls in unison.
As Cynthia and the girls made their way to the island, they were in for a surprise as fishes and dolphins leaped in and out of the water alongside Cynthia's speed boat.
"Hey Angelica, look around us," said Zoey.
"Wow! There are a lot of fishes and dolphins around the speed boat" replied Angelica.
"Wow! Talk about a sideshow!" shouted Cynthia as she was still piloting the the Cynthia speed boat.
The dolphins and the fishes followed for a pretty good while until at last they swam a different direction as Cynthia's speed boat was closing in on the island where Cynthia's Hawaiian Beach Hut is.
"We're getting close to land where my Hawaiian Beach Hut is girls!" shouted Cynthia.
"Yay!" cheered Angelica and Zoey in unison.
In no time, Cynthia and the girls reached the island safely, docked Cynthia's speed boat tightly and headed toward Cynthia's Hawaiian Beach Hut.
"Wow!" went Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"This is island is big," said Zoey.
"Not to mention a dream paradise" added Angelica.
"If you think this is cool, wait until we get to my Hawaiian Holiday Beach Hut," said Cynthia.
Soon, everyone reached Cynthia's Hawaiian Holiday Beach Hut and took in the place.
"Awesome beach hut Cynthia," said Angelica.
"Yeah, this is cool" added Zoey.
"You girls want some lemonade and cookies out on patio?" asked Cynthia.
"Sure" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
Soon, Angelica and Zoey were enjoying the view of the island.
"This is really sweet," said Angelica.
"Uh-huh" agreed Zoey. "Here's to a wonderful friendship with the bestest friend in the whole wild world" she added.
"Hear-hear" said Angelica and Zoey in unison as they raised their glasses and proposed a toast.
At that moment, the scene shifted back to reality.
"That was totally cool," said Angelica.
"Uh-huh. It was fun" replied Zoey.
Soon, both girls got dried up and into their pajamas. Then they headed downstairs to watch a 2-hour cartoon marathon on TV. After the cartoon marathon ended, the girls headed upstairs to have a pillow fight before going to sleep. Fluffy sat on the windowsill so as not to get caught in the middle of the girls pillow fight. Eventually, it was nearing bedtime as Drew came into Angelica's bedroom.
"Hi Princess" said Drew.
"Hi Daddy" replied Angelica.
"It's just about time to go to bed girls," said Drew.
Angelica and Zoey nodded as they were feeling tuckered out from their eventful evening as they began to settle in for the night.
"Goodnight" said Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"Goodnight you two" replied Drew.
Drew then shut the light off and headed off to bed himself as the girls were sound asleep. The next morning, Angelica and Zoey awoke to a heavenly aroma of breakfast that Drew was making.
"Mmmm, something sure smells good Angelica" said Zoey as she was waking up.
"Hmmm, I bet I know what it is" replied Angelica.
The girls got themselves dressed and headed downstairs to the kitchen and they found a delicious breakfast awaiting them.
"Morning you two. You're just in time for breakfast," said Drew.
"Chocolate chip pancakes!" exclaimed Angelica and Zoey in unison.
The girls sat down and ate their breakfast.
"Mmmm. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Your daddy makes the bestest chocolate chip pancakes Angelica," said Zoey.
"Yeah. I love having chocolate chip pancakes whenever I get a chance" replied Angelica.
It wasn't too long before the girls finished their breakfast.
"You girls had big appetites," said Drew.
The girls nodded.
"In that case, would you two like to go to the park? I think your friends will be there today" asked Drew.
"Yeah" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"Okay. Just as soon as Zoey gets her sleepover gear packed up and ready to go when her grandparents come by later to pick her up" replied Drew.
As Drew cleaned up the kitchen table, the girls headed upstairs to Angelica's bedroom.
"This has been the bestest sleepover I've ever had with my bestest friend," said Zoey.
"Yeah, it was indeed" agreed Angelica. "You're my bestest friend for life" she added.
Zoey blushed and smiled as the two girls embraced one another.
"Thank you, Angelica. You're my bestest friend for life too" replied Zoey.
Just then Drew came into the room.
"All packed and ready to go?" said Drew.
"Uh-huh" replied Zoey.
"Alright then, let's head for the park," said Drew.
And the trio headed for the car, pulled out of the driveway and were enroute to the park to meet up with their friends and play. Angelica and Zoey held hands and smiled at one another on the way to the park. Both girls were grateful to have one another in their lives as best friends for life since the conclusion of the ill-fated Sea-Wise-Odyssey cruise.
