So obviously something confusing happened here that will take a while to figure out, how did the vortex filling the room with sludge connect to the sewer exploding under the Turtles' feet on their end?

So finally after much digging, Loot and Skicess helping to dig (Instead of helping Cashmere began wandering around and looking around the cavern, sniffing at times to see if she could find any unusual scents, but the only things she could smell were dirt and the people who she could see)

Slowly but surely they freed Hu Quan, Enkidu, Adele and Alex who, was more than a little perplexed at seeing Mutants who shared such close family resemblence after it being rare for him to see Mutants who even shared the same species.

"They make you guys as a matched set?" Alex asked as he dusted off the dirt from his clothes

"The shell you talking about?" Raph asked not sure if he liked the sound of that question.

"What lab made you?" Alex said

And that question sent a shiver down all the Turtles' shells and they felt the blood drain from their faces.

"Hold on..." Don said quietly "...Are you saying...All these...Mutants...Were created in a lab?"

"Yeah..." Alex said not sure he was liking where this was going "...How else do Mutants get made? I mean animals don't spontaniously transform into things that resemble human beings."

"Well OK." Don said "It wasn't like the transformation just came out of nowhere, but the four of us and our adoptive rat father mutated when we were exposed to an ooze that was ultimatly extra-terrestrial in origin..."

Alex took a few moments to take that in, Alex had a strange sort of affliction of the mind where he could not believe in anything supernatural, he accepted mutants because they could be explained by science, in fact his dibelief was so strong it was almost a kind of magic power in itself! During a night they were attacked by vengeful spirits, touching him actually hurt them! And when he passed by an animated mummy that the Mutants were fighting the power of his disbelief caused the mummy too poof too nothing but dust and bandages...More than once Cashmere thought of using his body as a bludgen to attack the horrors that they had been coming across on their adventures...Alien life fell under his purview of things that could be explained by science so he shrugged and said "Makes sense I suppose...So you just lived in the wild?"

"In the sewers." Don said "But now we really want to know about your Mutants...Like how were you guys created? How were you treated?"

"Depends..." Skicess said as she slithered over to them "Enkidu and Hu aren't from the same company that made Cashmere, Loot and me...And the three of us we kind of all were raised differently, I was adopted by one of the scientists are raised alongside his own children..."

"Whoa!" Raph exclaimed "Must be a gutsy human to raise a poisonous snake!"

"One of his children chose me..." Skicess said "...The story I was told was that the Mom tried to get her to choose something else, 'Don't you want to cute little lamb? Or maybe the otter? But seems my sister was a little Wednesday Addams!" She gave a little hissing giggle but then stopped "...Maybe that was the reason why..." She trailed off

"What are you talking about Skessees?" Mikey asked leaning over prouncing 'Skess-ees'

"My name..." Skicess said "It's prounounced Sky-Sees!"

"Sorry." Mikey said

Leo noticed Cashmere wasn't with them, he noticed her a good distance away from the mud pile she seemed to be getting close to the edge of the cliff, he felt his heart skip a beat, but then he saw her quickly back away from the edge as soon as she saw how far down it led.

Leo quickly leaped down and went over to her.

"Hey." Leo said softly "You OK Cashmere?"

"Where are we?" Cashmere asked "I mean really? The last thing I remember was we were in a Villa in Spain..."

"S-Spain?" Leo really wasn't expecting that the last thing he remembered before the explosion was his brothers taking their usual patrol through familiar sewers when suddenly the ground buckled under their feet and they were tumbling through sewer water and muck...How could these guys suddenly get with them from halfway around the world? Was it...Teleportation?

"I think you need to go back to the beginning and tell us everything that happened before you came here." Leo said folding his arms "Because right now you're under Manhatten."

So hinting at multiple things, Skicess family history and Cashmere feeling guilty believing her wish is entirely responsible for what happened
