Chapter 31; The Newborn Demon God; Kograd
The Newborn Demon God gives Blaze an evil and menacing smile with bloodlust and excitement.
"Wh-What the...?! Did this guy just become a Demon God?!" Blaze questioned in surprise and fear.
"That's right. I have now evolved myself into a Demon God!" The Demon God said. "You can call me; Kograd, as I am your worst nightmare!".
"You? My worst nightmare?" Blaze chuckled. "That's funny".
With an evil smirk and incredible speed, Kograd swiftly dashed towards Blaze, grabs him by the face, and slams Blaze to the ground by their jaw before he kicks him away.
Blaze immediately stands back up and punches Kograd in the stomach and once more in his face. Then, he grabs Kograd by the head and throws him to the ground. Finally, Blaze slams down onto the defenseless Kograd, assaulting him with a barrage of punches and finishes him off with one mighty blow.
After taking all that damage and attacks, Kograd smiles and grabs ahold of Blaze's fist. Kograd kicks Blaze in the guts and lets go of his hand, making Blaze take a few steps back as he holds his stomach in pain.
Kograd stands up and sends Blaze flying with a punch to the face. Once Kograd chases after Blaze, Blaze catches his balance as he slid back a bit and immediately fires off a Full Power Mouth Energy Wave, sending Kograd flying as he was caught by surprise.
Kograd gets back up and dusted himself off before he notices Blaze running towards him. Right as Blaze throws a punch at Kograd, Kograd counters back by throwing a punch at him, but Blaze dodges it as he then appears below Kograd and in that one instant, Blaze delivers a powerful punch that was cladded with a blue-colored aura, to Kograd's stomach, inflicting a huge amount of damage.
Kograd smirks mischievously before he grabbed Blaze's arm, clads his right fist with a purple-colored aura, and punches him in the face, giving Blaze a bloody nose and sends him flying, inflicting a huge amount of damage.
Blaze stops himself as he caught his balance. They both powered up before they dashed towards each other and caught each others hands. They both suddenly jumped back, they dashed towards each other, and began to exchange blows as they created strong shockwaves. They exchanged blows until Kograd warped himself, appearing behind Blaze. Blaze saw his attack coming as he looked behind him and blocked Kograd's attack. They then went back to exchanging blows.
They exchanged blows on equal footing as they continued to exchange blows, creating powerful shockwaves. They then began to exchange blows in midair as they continued to create powerful shockwaves, emitting off of the impact of their blows. They continued to exchange blows until Kograd sends Blaze flying away with a punch.
Kograd chases after Blaze and knocks him down to the ground with another punch. Right as Blaze gets back, Kograd warps in front of Blaze and lands another punch on Blaze. Blaze glared back angrily and counters back with a powerful punch. They both pushed each other back with the thrust of their fist, they both dashed towards each other, and went back to exchanging blows.
They exchanged blows until Kograd catches one of Blaze's punches and says; "What's the matter, is this all you got?".
Kograd moves around to avoid Blaze's second attack. Then, he puts his hands on Blaze's stomach and blasts him away with a purple energy wave, inflicting a great amount of damage. Right as Blaze got back up, Kograd warped in front of Blaze and sends him flying away with another purple energy wave. Kograd chases after Blaze and attacks him with a rush, then warps to move around him and hits Blaze with a flurry of punches and kicks.
Kograd charges a dark violet-purple Energy Sphere in their left hand while holding their arm back. Then Kograd fires the sphere at Blaze, but it unexpectedly stops halfway through its flight. Suddenly, the sphere activates again and hits Blaze, causing massive damage. Blaze does a backflip and regains his balance.
"You Bastard!" Blaze shouted out as he charges towards Kograd with a punch.
Right as Blaze got close and was about to throw his fist at Kograd, Kograd attacks with a purple and black burst of Ki, knocking Blaze back. Kograd then let's loose another, less powerful burst of energy, which looks like a heat wave.
"How was that, my dear prey?~ It wasn't too painful to destroy your spirit, was it?" Kograd asked mischievously as he got close to Blaze's paralyzed body and smiles evilly.
"Hah!!!" Blaze shouts out as an yellow aura emits from his body.
Blaze levitates off the ground and stands charging energy around his body, then he explode with a gigantic energy sphere around his body.
"Yes! That's the spirit!!" Kograd said excitedly as he lifts up his right forearm in the air.
"Darkness Judgement!" Kograd said as he forms a large vortex of purple energy above Blaze that rains down several ki blasts.
"Way Of The Kitsune Martial Arts: Kitsune's Domain! " Blaze thought as he created an Orange-Colored Energy Barrier.
Blaze's Energy Barrier shielded himself from all of Kograd's Purple energy blasts. After lowering his energy barrier, Blaze instantly appeared behind Kograd and throws both arms open, hands held vertically and fingers wide while gathering ki.
"Sorry, but I'm going to borrow your move and make it my own, Vegeta!" Blaze said to himself as he continues to gather Ki. "Hhhaaaahhh...!!!".
Blaze then straightens his arms to the front, forming a sphere of energy in the space between the palms of each hand that emits sporadic bolts of electric yellow ki that shoot out in all directions.
"Final..." Blaze began to say before shouting out; "Flash!!".
Finally, Blaze discharges a massive golden beam of energy with electric ki streaming around it towards Kograd as he smiles excitedly and mischievously. Kograd took the attack head-on as he continues to smile before he started laughing maniacally.
"Yes! Yes!! That's it!! Keep those attacks coming! I am enjoying this fight between us, Blaze Tanaka!!" Kograd said with an evil smile.
"Shut up, you freak of nature!!" Blaze shouts. "I'm going to do whatever it takes to stop you!!".
"How truly arrogant of you." Kograd said with a evil smile.
"You say I'm arrogant? I say, Damn Right! That's pride! The Pride in the Warrior I am!" Blaze said. "Only A Loser Abandons His Principles And Pride!".
Blaze starts to power up tremendously, unleashing a pillar of Blue Aura up into the air. A flashback then occurs.
Flashback-
Back in Blaze and Ryuu's Past, the two are training together by sparring with each other. After a little while, they take a break. Both Blaze and Ryuu collapses on the ground as they breathed heavily. They both sat up next to each other.
"You're as strong as ever, Blaze!" Ryuu says with a smile.
"And you're as tough as ever, Ryuu." Blaze says calmly and stoically.
Ryuu softly chuckled. "I guess we both have been training rigorously and fighting strong opponents!".
"Indeed".
Both became silent as the atmosphere became awkward between the two. Blaze closes his eyes and starts to meditate.
"You know... I noticed something when we were sparring together." Ryuu said. "You've changed...".
"So have you, Ryuu." Blaze replied, keeping his eyes closed and trying to meditate. "You've changed as a person, especially after that little "head injury" incident...".
"Oh yeah?".
"Yes. You were once like I am now. Calm and the stoic type, but you were also caring. You still are." Blaze said as he opens his eyes and looks at Ryuu. "But now, you became this optimist guy who likes to fight for the thrill of it and because it helps you make more friends with other people who are strong as well. You also attract stronger villains and stronger people too."
"I do?!".
"You do. And yes, I have to admit it as well." Blaze said. "I used to be like you, the optimistic guy who enjoys fighting, but now look at me, I'm the stoic and calm type of guy. Our personalities may have switched due to what we've been through but... there's something that'll always keep us together."
"Oh yeah? And what's that?" Ryuu asked.
"It's that we're are best friends but also rivals."
"Oh yeah..." Ryuu said as he stands up.
Blaze stands up and looks at Ryuu as Ryuu smiles softly and looks into the distance, watching the sunset. Blaze then softly smiles.
"Tch. I liked you a bit better when you were the calm and stoic type, but the you know is okay too." Blaze said.
Ryuu turns his head and looks at him. Blaze raises up his hand as he turns it into a fist as a sign for a fist bump.
"Ryuu, we may be best friends and slowly becoming rivals, but I also want us to be arch-rivals so we can continue to push each other to our limits, to become stronger... For Sakamoto Sensei's sake!" Blaze said. "Our Sensei, Tenshi Sakamoto, found us sparring together when we were 16. He saw potential in us and took us under his wing. He trained us and helped us become who we are today. And I believe it's time for us to show him he was right to choose us as his students. What do you say, Hitoshi?".
"Blaze... You never called me by my last name before until now..." Ryuu said with a surprised facial expression before he then smiled and fist bumped Blaze. "But you're right. He took us under his wing and now it's time to show him he made the right choice."
"Starting today, we are not just best friends... But we are now Arch-Rivals!" They both said in unison.
Flashback Over-
Blaze continues to power up significantly past his limits as Kograd continues to watch him and starts to power up too.
Blaze remembers the promise he made with Ryuu, the promise he tends to keep as he continues to power up tremendously as he said out loud; "I have to do this... I gave him my word and I have to keep it! I'll shatter through my limits no many how many times I must do it! I'll do it in my own way, on my own terms! Because That's the man I am! And then, Kograd, I will defeat you!! Hrah!!".
Blaze broke past his Super Saiyan Blue Limits and Awakened himself into his Super Saiyan Blue Evolved Form, surprising Kograd who continues to watch him grow more powerful in front of him as Blaze is unleashing a Dark Blue pillar of Aura up into the sky.
"Oh?~ What's this?~" Kograd asked as he looks at Blaze in his new Saiyan Transformation with an evil and mischievous smile on his face.
