Epilogue

On the other side of the world, a certain brunette was leaning sideway on a large window, waiting impatiently for the slightest sign from his sister. Still clutching her necklace, Elie didn't give any indication of waking up soon.

Jin: " you've been up long enough. You should take a rest."

Ban didn't take his eyes off her at all.

Ban: " it's okay. I'm used to it."

Countless of nights he had spend without blinking an eye while waiting by her bed before. That was nothing new.

Jin: " so far as everything is calm and no alarm sounded, Elie should be fine."

Ban: " I know..."

But he didn't want to go. What if she was waiting for him to turn his back to slip away?

Jin: " she wouldn't like it to wake up to your haggard state, would she?"

Ban: " as if you're any better. You barely had three hours of sleep yourself."

Jin: " still better than nothing."

Ban finally looked back at his eyes.

Jin: " please."

Heavy-hearted as he felt, he was about to give up to Jin and leave when...

" Onii... chan..."

Eyes as wide as saucers, Ban reared his head. Looking back at him through half closed eyes, Elie smiled weakly at him.

Elie: " you were there for me the whole time... weren't you..."

Ban fought back tears as he returned her smile.

Ban: " I will always be..."...

Days passed by rather quickly. While Elie was recovering, a whole lot had happened.

Kazu began, after asking for Yagami's help, training to become a detective.

Ami's interest was unearthing truths and revealing them, so she pursued a journalist career.

Ran and Hiro finally managed to graduate high school and still pondering on which way to take in life. For now, each focused on doing what they loved most.

Haruka postponed every job offer she got, wanting to focus more on her family for a while.

Ruri and Ken were patiently waiting for their father to wake up now that their hope was renewed with Kousuke's help, all the same while keeping up with their training schedule, and of course, trying to escape paparazzi.

Gouda, though seriously considering inheriting his father's company, was still enjoying his work in Blue Cats along with his three lackeys, Mika and Ryuu. Asuka and Sendou were frequent customers, and according to him, they were even getting closer to each other. Sendou would usually vehemently deny it.

Yuuta went back to his middle school, finding less trouble dealing with computers.

Mirai finally managed to graduate from her university, taking a step closer to her dream.

Runa was enjoying her time by her sister's side.

Arata, Hikaru, Momona, and Muraku went back to Kamui Daimon for their final exams, which they managed to pass with flying colors for most of them, even Arata.

Gendou, though refusing to go back to Kamui Daimon, is still working hard on what he should do for the sake of their world and future.

Wataru managed to convince his parents to let him back into Kamui daimon.

The new Second World was announced to be a work in progress, though with the help of the famous legendary super hacker and both Professors Mito and Elonkova this time.

Sayaka was more than happy to be asked to help.

Jessica went back to the Fire Sweet, where she gladly and thankfully welcomed back a recovering Jack Gelato.

Secretary Kaios allotted Yuuya the mission of touring the world, studying all kinds of LBX battles and finding ways to keep LBX safe.

Touko was happily enjoying both soccer and LBX now. However, that didn't hinder her from her role as an SP fixer.

With Dream Future going back to work, Aya took after her father as the president of the Tunisia Branch.

Lillia steadily continued her studies, now grasping a clear image of what she wanted to do for both her brother and herself.

Eva was still in Kamiya Craft, working hard to make a change in the world.

Kirito continued as a test player for Tiny Orbit, though his job contained more than testing LBX.

Considering their young age, Rikuya and Knight didn't receive a severe punishment for assisting Leviathan. Though that may have placed them under tight supervision for a while.

Itan was admitted to a hospital downtown, his situation yet not clear.

Jun'ichirou was still working with NICs by the time it all ended, resuming their attempt to send LBX to outer space.

Jin and Ban each went back to their studies, feeling a great spur with the recent crisis to make their dreams come true.

Lilyan changed university. With her brother finally found, she found it unnecessary to continue studying AI. Rather, like Liam said, she was going to keep singing.

William, who chose to stay back in Japan, was working on something along with Kirishima for Tiny Orbit.

Elie was recovering slowly but steadily. However, not even that would hold her back from dragging her brother, Jin, and Lilyan again to an amusement park in N city.

Ban: " don't rush ahead!"

Elie: " then you hurry up!"

Jin: " one would think you would actually grow calmer, but..."

Lilyan: " it seems Elie-san is only getting more energetic by the day."

Elie: " and you seem to get slower by the moment! I don't want to queue for too long! The one before the rollercoaster is always crowded!"

Ban: " fine, just don't cry."

Elie: " I won't!"

Ban: " I doubt."

He said walking past her, ignoring her glare. He only stopped when he realized she wasn't walking behind them. Looking back at her, she was looking back at a couple of kids across the street, all of whom were enjoying LBX battles in a nearby park. Watching over them was none other than a replica of a familiar robot they knew to pilot the Duck Shuttle, and it occasionally stepped in to battle some of the younger kids as to help them out with learning how to maneuver their units.

Jin: " Elie..."

Elie: " I wonder... why couldn't it be that Mizel is the same as well..."

Lilyan: " Elie-san..."

Elie: " I know that he had done bad things in the past but... he more than anyone risked his own life to stop Leviathan..."

Ban's eyes softened slightly at her.

Elie: " what's with 'AI can't be trusted' that they propagate? Don't they realize it was AIs that saved humanity as well? Could we have done anything wasn't it for our LBXs who supported us through the whole thing? They had all fought for the sake of humans, yet..."

Her hands balled slightly.

Elie: " why... why are they discriminating them like that... are AIs more human than us?"

There was no hiding that by the time, humans grew a bit fearful of AIs. While it might be nice to come across a heartwarming scene like this, it was rather rare. Jin walked over to her, gently patting her shoulder.

Jin: " it will take a while before the shock of what happened could be forgotten. After all, there were those who were hurt deeply by the incident."

She looked back at him, fighting back tears.

Jin: " it's up to us, the ones who befriended AIs the longest. The ones who had seen both their good and bad, to help them understand."

Mopping away her tears, Elie nodded. That was true. There was no getting Mizel back anymore, but at least, they should not allow for it to happen again. Just like Eva was trying to do, they too had to help.

Elie: " you know... I think I'm fine with waiting for a tad longer to get on the rollercoaster, so... Maybe we could have an LBX Battle. What do you think?"

All three of them smiled at that.

Ban: " then bring it on!"...

The End
