The State Verses Derek Morgan Ch 73
Over the next few months Derek and Penelope adjusted to married life, to living together, well to just everything, when their honeymoon was over and they headed back to their lives at Quantico a lot of things had changed and changed fast. Sarah and Anderson were dating hot and heavy, where you saw one you always saw the other, Penelope loved Sarah and Anderson together, they were so adorable but Derek, now he was another story.
Derek didn't like that fact that both of his sisters were dating FBI agents, Sarah was dating Anderson and Desi was dating Luke but after a few nights of persuading from his baby girl Derek seemed to see things a little different. Now Mia and Connor they were practically inseparable, when they had time away from work they were always doing something together, whether it be a movie, a picnic, a night in at one of their places, it was always something.
Shane and Tasha, now Penelope just adored them together, Shane was so happy and so considerate of Tasha, he was always opening doors and holding her hand, he was always by her side and that made Penelope happy. The team minus Derek of course had a wedding pool going on to see what couple would tie the knot first and right now Sarah and Anderson were in the lead by a few percentage points.
Henry and Jack had finally adjusted to their aunt P being back but they still wanted too spend a lot of time with her so when Derek was out of town the boys would come over and watch movies with her and play with Clooney. Derek loved his nephews and knew that it had broken the little boys hearts when they thought Penelope was dead, hearing about her death had just about taken everybody out, especially him.
However, things now were as close to perfect as they could get, the BAU family was growing by leaps and bounds and with two analysts they were good to go, so that meant that if Penelope had to go out of town with the team that Shane would be there to cover so that meant twice the hacker power for the team.
Derek and Penelope had now been married almost 3 months and they were loving each and every minute of it, they hated being apart but that was a necessary part of their job so when they got back together they were always making up for lost time. Over the past few days Penelope hadn't been feeling her perky self, she'd been sick at her stomach a lot and she couldn't stand he smell of coffee and one final thing that was really aggravating for her was that her breasts were staying sore.
She was currently at a doctors appointment, she wanted to check and see what was going on with her, from the minute that Fran had noticed changes in her daughter in law the nurse in her came out and she just knew what was going on but didn't want too say anything to anybody.
Penelope was sitting in her exam room waiting on span class="il"the/span doctor to come back into the room, when the door opened and she stepped in she sat down beside Penelope and handed her a prescription. Penelope said,"soooo, what's this?", the doctor said, "something for nausea and prenatal vitamins", Penelope froze, wait, what, what did you just say?", her friend smiled and said, "something for nausea".
Penelope said, "not that one, the other one, what else did you say?, the woman grinned and said "ohhhh that, I said prenatal vitamins, congratulations Penelope, you're pregnant, around 10 weeks along". Her hand slid down to her stomach and she smiled, she was going to have a baby and not just anybody's baby she was pregnant with her husband, her hotstuff, her Derek's baby.
She looked up and said, "are you, are you sure?", she said, "I had them check the results several times to make sure, yes P, you are pregnant so by Valentines day you and Derek will welcome a little one into your family". Penelope hugged her friend and said, "thank you, thank you, thank you", the girl laughed and said, "honey I didn't do anything, that was you and Derek, the only thing I did was tell you that you're pregnant"
Penelope blew out a deep breath and said, "and everything is fine, everything is normal?", Shana nodded her head and said, "everything is fine and when you come for your next appointment we'll do an ultrasound so that you can see your little one". Penelope smiled and said, "I can hardly wait", Shana said, "congratulations again P", she hugged her friend again and then said, "I've got to go, I've got to tell hotstuff".
Shana nodded her head and said, "what are you waiting on girlie, go, go tell your man", Penelope was all smiles as she walked out of the doctors office and headed toward her car, she was pregnant, her and Derek were going to have a baby. A few minutes later she was stepping off of the elevator at work, she felt amazing, she was so happy, she was going to have a baby, she was pregnant with her first child, their first child.
Derek walked over to her and said, "sweetness are you alright?", she said, "I've got something to tell you", he took her hands in his and said, "okay, you can tell me anything", she blew out a deep breath as she readied to speak. Derek looked at her and smiled as she said, "we're going to have a baby, I'm 10 weeks pregnant".
