Here is Chapter 8 as I will use some elements of Infinity Legions but in my own version where 5yl aliens are part of the story as well with new nanite builds for Rex. I hope you enjoy.
Chapter 8: Countermeasures
Earth 5: Sherman
As a half-human, half-demon hybrid who was created from the essence of one of the most heinous evil beings to ever terrorize the universe, Ashi was no stranger to extraordinary events. As such, dealing with supernatural issues or matters pertaining to pure science fiction might as well have been considered normal for her. She had just awoken from her apparent resurrection when she encountered a group of children being attacked by a group of dangerous creatures that were heavily armed. She had initially assumed that she would have to defend the children alone, but she was in for a shock when the kids showed extraordinary abilities. She was cautious not to reveal her precise origins to them because she wasn't sure if she could fully trust them, at least not yet. After dealing with the threat, they decided to give her a quick summary of who they are and what they can do.
Ashi scratched her chin as she processed the facts, "So, if I'm correct." She indicated Rex." You have the ability to operate equipment and create weapons from any part of your body." She turned to look at Zak. "You are a scientist in some way." Max and Steel came up next. "You two have a symbiotic connection that enables you to both command a strong energy." She then pointed at Jake and said, "You can turn into a dragon. She then turned to face Manny below. "You have the power to access the tiger's abilities." She had confronted Marco and Star. The blush on Star's cheeks went unnoticed. "The blonde girl is a magical princess from another dimension, while he is your male companion." After that, she pointed at Aang and said, "You are the master of four elements." Ashi was next introduced by Steven, who said, "You are half Gem and half Human." It was June at last. You guard the populace against evil magic. And, as you claim, you're all from various universes.
Steel said, "Got it all in at once, someone gave her a prize."
Ashi had once traveled across time, so she might as well be able to experience different realities as well, when Star casually approached and placed an elbow on Ashi's shoulder. She smiled and said, "So, now that you know about us, why don't you tell us about you and how did you do all that shapeshifting thing?"
Ashi lifted an eyebrow and took Star's arm off. "I don't feel comfortable answering that; I just want to move on."
The excitable princess kept prodding her, "Oh come on. Tell us your secrets." Tell me what you don't want us to know, please, come on.
She was retracted by Marco. He reprimanded her and then turned to Ashi, saying, "Star, that's enough." I apologize for Star ma'am.
Ashi had no choice but to move away from the young woman in blonde. She angrily assured them, "It's okay. All that you must know is that I have magical skills. Anything beyond that is secret.
Steven said, not wanting to anger her, "Hey, it's cool." He pointed out what she had to concede was true, despite being younger than her, they decided to fight alongside her to beat these unfamiliar enemies. "It's your business, not ours. No need to make a whole big deal about it, I mean hey we all just took down alien bad guys, we can trust each other," she said.
Suddenly she had an idea; she wasn't sure whether it was possible, but she figured it wouldn't be too difficult to inquire in case they did know. She stretched her palm high and said, "Tell me, have any of you seen a man this tall." She gave a detailed description of her love in the hopes that one of them could have seen him: "Dark hair tied into a bun, wearing a white gi, and carrying a sword concealed in a black scabbard."
They all exchanged glances to see if anyone would look familiar, but from their perplexed looks, it was clear that nobody knew what Ashi was talking about. Max looked contrite as he scratched his back. Sorry Ashi, we can't say we do that.
I would absolutely remember meeting one of those, but it sounds like you're talking about a samurai," Zak replied. He wasn't exactly a conventional samurai, therefore that one occasion when his family dealt with Shoji Fuzen didn't really count.
Ashi looked down in dismay as it appeared that her search for Jack would take a lot longer. But as she heard a beep, her disappointment gave way to interest. Everyone in the room turned to Zak and Steel as she asked, "What...is that?" The Ultralinks solitary optic and the equipment of the young scientist both beeped as they recognized what this meant.
Steel gasped, exhausted, "Finally!" "Thought I'd never be able to crack the code."
Zak stared intently as he started to type. "Let's look around and see what we can find."
Aang made the decision to say what everyone was thinking. Um, you guys, wanna let us in on something?
Steel pointed to their captive and said, "You remember when we took down this one before meeting Ashi?" I mean I know these men wanted to kill us and everything, but you should see the kind of implants they have. Well since then, Zak and I have been trying to get through his tech, which was pretty hard given all the firewalls they had.
June questioned, "Implants? What kind of implants?"
It was now Zak's turn to explain it to them. He and Steel through the data, "Whatever these creatures are, their entire organic bodies have been radically combined with cybernetic technology I've never seen before, their entire forms can barely be considered as living anymore, more circuits than blood." It appears that they have a connected neural network that links their brains and vital signs to better coordinate their attacks. This signal also enables them to alert more people of their own kind of their current status and how to respond, possibly as a means to launch a counteroffensive.
Steel nodded in agreement, "Exactly." "Thanks, Zak."
Star sent a perplexed look at Rex's way. She inquired, "Was that just now?" Rex could only shrug in response because it would confound what he said to Star as she wouldn't comprehend.
Steel noticed Zak's eyes slowly widening in what appeared to be alarm as they tallied up the information. He said, "Guys, you might want to come over and see this." They did, including Ashi, though only because her curiosity won out. They noticed a large red glowing dot. If I understand this well, a message that we do not know the location of is being sent to this very earth.
Max questioned, "From where, specifically?" as he had a horrible feeling.
Wide-eyed, Zak looked at each of them. "From the original source."
Before anything else could be said, a brilliant blue light was seen throughout Sherman, blinding almost everything in its path, including the entire group. They all turned and covered their eyes to protect them from the intensity of the light, though they could make out that it was coming from the mountains. Aang exclaimed, "What the heck is that?!"
Moments before the light appears…
The freshly assembled team of heroes had time to rest and evaluate their current predicament after the little army of Novatron was no longer a threat.
While Ladybug and Cat Noir somehow reversed their change and returned to their disguise identities, Ben stayed silent. Danny was engaged in conversation with Kim Possible, her boyfriend Ron, and Randy Cunningham the disguised ninja. Jenny watched the four of them converse as Samurai Jack stood motionless, and she waited patiently. He was highly impressed by the young people's abilities, which suggested that the two time masters had not been exaggerating after all. However, there was an immediate threat that required their whole attention. He was aware from personal experience that until the threat is entirely eliminated, the battle is not over.
"So Jake is here too? Danny asked Randy.
"Yes, he was with me, but we became separated when a portal appeared in front of us, according to Randy.
Kim speculated, "You think he might have gotten lost somewhere when you guys went through that portal?"
Concerned for his pal, Danny responded, "I sure hope not." "If we're going to find a way to get home, we're going to need all of us."
Ben abruptly and unexpectedly interrupted. , "You're not the only one who has been missing me as well. I'm looking for my four friends and we are going to find a way home." He wonders, observing the expressions on their faces as he declares, "Is there something on my shirt."
Blinking, Randy said." Uhmm Who the juice are you again,."
Randy was informed by Ben, "Oh right, I'm Ben Tennyson, I'm a hero from my reality."
Ron recalled, "Oh right, like that magnet dude, Armadillo guy and speedy dinosaur." What, you have some magic shape-changer of some sort?
Ben sat silently with his arms crossed. He holds up his left arm to show him the alien watch that he has owned since he was ten years old, saying, "Not magic, science, alien science to be precise." Only I am able to change into aliens because of a device on my wrist called the Omnitrix, which is encoded with the DNA of over a million aliens.
Randy gaped in wonder as he examined the watch. "Dude, that is so Bruce! So you can turn into anything you want with that thing?"
Ben responded, "Like tons of them man, been at this whole hero gig since I was 10."
Jenny decided to speak up as well, if a little more timidly, "Um, excuse me." I go by XJ9, but if you'd like, just call me Jenny.
Ben strode over to her. "So, you're a robot?"
A hand was placed on Jenny's hip. She chuckled a little, "I like robots who were made for the specific purpose of fighting crime, unless of course you know another robot who kicks butt.
Danny shared a small laugh with her, saying, "Heh, can't say that I do." She extended his hand. Jenny joyfully shook his hand, "I'm Danny Phantom, we appreciate the help."
As he and his disguised partner joined them, Cat Noir observed, "Well aren't we an odd bunch? " He bowed to Ladybug, "For now you can just call me Cat Noir, this lovely girl is Ladybug."
Ladybug poked her partner in anger, "I can make my own introductions, thanks."
Ron remarked on their disguise attire, "What's with the outfits?"
Kim made a chin tap. She sneered, "Let me guess, hide your secret identity?"
The teenage super spy caught Marinette's attention. Yes, how did you find out?
Kim pointed out the fashion faux pas in her outfit, "Why else would you wear that jacket with those pants?"
And Marinette had to concur, cringing, "Ugh, you are so right." She thought, "Knew I should have stayed in my suit." As she looked around, she realized that Adrien was the one who was staring at her. Unsure of why people were staring at them, she questioned, "Um, what?"
To whisper, Adrien cocked her head slightly. "I believe they want an explanation from us."
Not used to having so many eyes on her, she smiled nervously, "Oh. OH! Right, right of course." She pointed to her blonde pal and said, "Sorry. Well, I'm Ladybug, his crime fighting partner, me and Cat Noir as well lived in the same reality as Ben."
Ron gave them a somewhat too in-depth inspection, saying, "Hmm." You two must be some sort of heroic couple, right?
Adrien grinned brightly while Marinette's eyes grew wider.
Randy said to Danny, "I totally called that." "I mean, it was pretty obvious."
Marinette exclaimed in obvious disdain, "What?!" She reacted angrily, not appreciating being mistaken for his lover, which was ironic, and said, "No, no, no, no. He is not my boyfriend. Cat and I are just partners in saving the day, and that's all." She indicated her earrings, and Cat displayed his ring, saying, "We both use magic powers from these two objects." "He can destroy, but I can create."
So it's quite interesting to have a young boy with the ability to transform using an alien device on his left wrist, one with spectral abilities, two expert fighters, costumed magic users, a shinobi who fights for righteousness, and a machine with feelings. They turned to confront the samurai known to many as Jack and said, "Excuse me." He bowed and said, "I'm Jack, and please forgive me for not introducing myself to you all earlier. He pointed to the scattered bodies of the Novatrons and said, "And there is a matter of great importance we must discuss, concerning them." He questioned, "Tell me, how did all of you get here?
Jenny responded, "Well, I was talking to my mum when a gateway appeared and sucked me in.
Ben said, thinking it over, "The same thing happened with all of us." When you put it all together, it seems like some sort of invasion is taking place. "Something tells me this isn't some coincidence," one of the participants said. "We each come from parallel Earths and on each of our Earths, these portals sucked us all through and here we are in the same city."
Jack nodded in agreement, "Indeed." He told them, "These dark forces that targeted not only this earth but also ours - I know because my world wasn't yet attacked by these beings who call themselves the Novatron's - it is not by pure luck we found ourselves together." My selection was made by three gods and three time masters, including a girl in a rabbit costume, a specter with the ability to age quickly, and a person with a robotic hand with a clock. "You see, I'm from a distant land where our technology is not as sophisticated as that of this earth.
Ben, Danny, Ladybug, and Cat Noir all recognized those descriptions, and their eyes brightened up. Ben questioned, "Wait, are you talking about Professor Paradox?"
Danny also questioned, "Clockwork?"
Ladybug and Cat Noir both uttered the word "and Bunnix" at the same time.
Jack nodded, "Those are their names, yes." The fact that there should be more of you makes it even more crucial that we find them in order to save our worlds. If we are to win, it will be the combined efforts of all of us to stop them once and for all. They told me that you four, along with everyone else here, have imperative roles in stopping these evil creatures, and I was sent to provide additional aid to.
Before anyone could say anything else, a blinding light flooded the city, forcing everyone to cover their eyes.
Randy said, "What the juice?!"
Surroundings of Sherman
Several minutes before dawn...
The Titan trio was tense, and that is an understatement. They observed the still-open portal, wondering if more Novatron forces were preparing to resume their earlier assault. Solomon had sent in G3 engineers, who were inspecting the portal machine to see if there was any way to shut it down before their fears came true. As for the leader of G3, he was receiving frequent updates from his men, and rumors of unusual events began to circulate through com connections rather than the portal.
Lance remarked, his arms folded, "I don't like it." He squinted at the portal, "It's been hours, you'd think they would have started again by now."
A reasonable inference, Octus remarked. "While it is alien in nature, my scans should be able to find anything that could pinpoint a potential flaw in its structure, or if not, possibly the location of where this portal leads. I still haven't figured out how this portal works.
Ilana was terrified and wary of the prospect of a battle because she had seen how war marred the beauty of a peaceful planet. The Mutraddo invasion of Galaluna was still fresh in her mind, and she would never be able to forget seeing her home planet being ruthlessly attacked by someone she had once thought of as family. She and her friends had come to think of Earth as a second home, and they were dedicated to the task of preserving it and all of its inhabitants, including their friends. She spoke out, grabbing his attention, "Solomon." She was the only one who saw him glance at his computer, and she asked, "If you don't mind me asking, but what are you looking at?"
They recalled the portal shooting out unusual projectiles, "While we've been waiting, I deployed several G3 drones to investigate those anomalies from before." I told them to report any potential dangers, and based on what I've seen, it appears like there have been some instances near Sherman. One man told the authorities that he had been attacked by a beast.
Ilana shrieked. She gestured to turn on her armor and said, "Oh no, we should leave," but then something strange happened.
An engineer yelled to his leader, "Sir!" The portal started to shine more brightly and a continuous beam came out of it. The beam reached the sky and stayed there until a bright, blue flash flashed just in front of them, forcing them to shelter themselves. He said, "Something's happening!" as he pointed to the portal machine. Anyone near Sherman who could have seen it would have had to shield their eyes from the intense light, just like the three aliens and their comrades did. The light continued for what seemed an eternity, until it gradually dimmed and revealed a foreboding image. He was wearing what appeared to be blue battle armor, and his belt contained various items, likely mementos from his numerous victims, including shattered weapons and a bone. He had a red-glow cybernetic eye in lieu of his right eye, and he exuded terror with a look that shouted "You will fall."
Not just them, but the entire band of heroes were present and were uneasy as a result. "People of Earth 5, I am Zone, emperor of the Novatrons, a species of technologically advanced creatures that have conquered many worlds. Your poor humanity has committed a terrible crime against us by daring to defy us and trying to kill us. You humans must accept the consequences, but be thankful since you are going to witness the most cutting-edge kind of technology. Even if it's a shame you'll have to die by it. I will have mercy for those of you who had the audacity to attack and kill my warriors, so please surrender. If you do, I will just order the annihilation of this Earth settlement that you call Sherman. Think it over, the rest of this mudball world will be saved. If you surrender yourselves. Ben Tennyson I know you're here; if you don't surrender the omnitrix, this shall be the punishment for the whole multiverse." With a snap of his fingers, a number of ships appeared, along with war tanks and a large number of soldiers, all of whom were advancing on Sherman and prepared to destroy the town and all of its defenseless citizens.
Ghost Zone
Lair Of Clockwork
Paradox grimaced and chewed on a bubblegum, "Well, things deem to be escalating, aren't they?"
He shook his head, Clockwork. Zone is known for not being scared to shed the inn's blood.
Odin and the other gods looked on, thinking, "Though this is only the beginning for our champions, it may seem more assistance has to be acquired."
Bunnix questioned, "Are you suggesting that they need more assistance?" Not that it bothers me, but we don't currently know of anyone else that could volunteer their services.
A more spiritual voice said, "Perhaps I can give you some help." A creature with a body that appeared to be fully formed of space itself, complete with stars and constellations, appeared in the enormous nothingness. Its body was simian in nature, giving it the appearance of a space gorilla. Its face was crimson and represented a long mouth with eyes as well. The eyes sparkled as it tapped into another realm, or more specifically, the village she formerly inhabited in, and said, "Time to begin phase 2."
a place known as Middleburg.
