11. Chapter 11

Reaper of Rome chapter 11- team soul reaper vs arrancar

This will have the soul reaper team against the arrancar team but for this I will have Ichigo watch the other battles via a special method.

Rukia pov

It wasn't long after Ichigo felt the surge of spirit pressure, that I checked my soul phone to reveal there were six arrancar in the group and they would be attacking pretty much any human with even the smallest level of spirt power but likely people I had been close to would be the highest value targets since my spirit power caused theirs to bloom.

When Ichigo asked about Chad and Orihime, I said "Orihime should be safe with Rangiku and her captain. But the targets wont just be her Chad and Uryu. Your entire class could be targets." With that I knew we needed to head out to try and prevent as much damage as possible."

It was then Ichigo produced a spirit orb between his hands and began to stare into it. he then said, "I can see the two of them ready for battle." I then stared at his orb and said, "is that something you learned in your classes at camp?" he replied "no, this is a mix between my mother's trick and the spirit orb trick Kukaku showed me. its not as good as my mother's version since I can only use it under the moon as long as it isn't a new moon."

We then watched as a fat arrancar with a half skull mask and an arrancar with a strange hat like mask showed up in front of them. Then another arrancar found Chad and Ichigo and I met one arrancar with a shell-like hat mask and hollow teeth. I met Ichigo again after seeing Chad run away and he told me Chad couldn't fight these guys in the state he was in. but I knew for that comment, I would have to show Ichigo what I had mastered while he was in class.

Ichigo pov

Rukia told me to leave the battle to her since I was too tense. I mostly decided to let battle to see what came of her training. But the spirit of the candy was super hyper and held me down. but it was while Rukia was explaining things the arrancar attacked and explained its number was sixteen and named d- Roy. But Rukia in turned revealed her zanpakuto was named Sode no Shirayuki and used it to freeze the arrancar in place. but he escaped the first freeze and flew into the sky. But then Rukia revealed she could make an ice pillar and froze him in the air and killed him instantly.

It was then Chappy the soul candy in Rukia's gigai and holding me down while I had to hold off having a boner from Rukia being so close, Chappy then explained Rukia shikai was declared one of the most beautiful shikai as revealed in the soul society and could control ice and snow. Chappy then said Rukia would be more powerful if you sung while using her shikai. But before she could an arrancar with a hole in his stomach, short blue hair and a bone jaw mask came to attack us. He then revealed he was arrancar six Grimmjow as he prepared to attack.

At the same time, I watched through the room as Renji, Toshiro. Rangiku and Ikkaku had met their own opponents. I also saw that Keigo had developed enough spirit power to see soul reapers on his own, but thankfully Ikkaku saved my friend and was forced to let him stay at his apartment as the arrancar revealed his number was thirteen but didn't give his name.

I could clearly see the split on ideologies between the two. I watched the two begin to clash blades as my classmate didn't understand dueling rules or at least the personal rule set the Ikkaku followed. The battle started with the arrancar having the advantage, but it didn't take long for the bald soul reaper to get in a good hit. It was then I noticed the arrancar had a mask kind of like chicken beak. But soon into the battle, the arrancar unsealed his blade and his form then turned molten with large fists made of fire. The arrancar then revealed his name as before me the arrancar stood smiling as the spiritual pressure rose. The blue haired arrancar then quicky took Rukia out with his arm alone.

I then watched both the arrancar Grimmjow and the battle Ikkaku and the flaming arrancar. It was then I saw Yumichika talk on the phone and order something called area freeze to protect the innocent souls in the area and that made me happy that I could go all out if needed. I also saw the battle going poorly for bald soul reaper until he released his blade to counter. But the said release still didn't help Ikkaku so much that withstand the attack.

Then after holding out the next attack, I could tell Ikkaku had one more trick left and didn't know I could see what he was doing. It was then he released his bankai then began to break everything in the area. I could tell the bankai took the form of two giant axes with a third axe over the wielder's head. The bankai was clearly powerful but fragile. But soon Ikkaku explained his zanpakuto spirit took time to wake up as his power continued to rise. It was then he spun the blade until a red dragon in the center lit up and the bald soul reaper unleashed a huge burst of power to end the fight. The zanpakuto was broken but the battle was over.

The next battle I watched was that of Renji and Toshiro and I was shocked at how the two weren't doing well. both were being out sped by the arrancars. It was as Renji was struggling, a copy of him showed up to distract the arrancar. It was revealed three strange beings were helping Renji but the arrancar soon overcame the trio.

Next to aid Renji, was the little girl Ururu joined the battle next. she was able to start to damage the blond hollow with high speed and insane strength. She then hit him near robotic level. but as soon as he broke free of the little girl, he soon released his blade and changed forms. His new form was like a bull, and he used his new horns to pierce Ururu through the torso. The red-haired boy soon save her and Renji saved the two but that still wasn't enough.

On another battlefield Toshiro was also struggling as well as Rangiku. With Toshiro the arrancar figured out that Toshiro's bankai clearly had a limit by the number of petals on top. It was after that said arrancar released zanpakuto and gained bone armor that began to rip apart Toshiro's ice wings. But he was able to reform but the boy soul reaper was clearly struggling more. it was then the Toshiro asked about the arrancar numbers and revealed said numbers donated transformation into arrancar but numbers one through ten were for his top soldiers and those were the espada and donated levels of power. it wasn't long until I figured out my current opponent was one of the top ten as I struggled to face him.

It was after that Rukia attacked again but was brought in a flash. But the blue haired arrancar was at least willing to let me release bankai to fight him. it wasn't long after that, Rangiku got a message from to release her limiter and with that.

I then struggled against the powerful arrancar as the three gained their own second winds. As soon as the seals were released each had a burst of power and quickly finished off their own arrancar enemies. The five times power boost made all the difference. But not long after that each had to deal with the injuries taken from the battles, with Orihime having to heal the captain.

It was after that Grimmjow came at me with more fervor and I barely had any time to practice with my bankai and still hadn't overcome the microfractures from prolonged usage. To make things worse the arrancar was outmatching me in both speed and power without even using the sword on his hip.

Rukia pov

I could only watch on while the arrancar pounded my lover over and over as a voice in my head said, "your body isn't ready to use my power but soon I can help you." The voice sounded like Homura, and I wanted her to help me. but I didn't want to lose myself to her will again. she said again "I want to help you and papa, mamma Rukia. I can call you mom since you were the closest thing Shizuku, and I had to parents. But you would need to accept the power of your father. You need to accept the power of the sun god."

It was before I could answer Ichigo countered with his spirit attack but could tell something was holding Ichigo back further as he suddenly stood still. But before the arrancar could attack again, captain Tosen came out and stopped the blue haired arrancar. The former captain then took Grimmjow away while Ichigo wasn't happy for his enemy to leave mid battle. but the arrancar threatened to come at Ichigo again with even more power. it was then Ichigo went over to me and gave me a strange candy that help revive me and then he took one himself, but I knew he clearly wanted the power to fight back against the blue haired arrancar.

Next chapter will deal with what the soul reapers will do while waiting for the next attack from the arrancar.

But first the team of reincarnations will have to travel the lands to try and make their way to the elf village
