Roman is hiding in the servants' bathroom at his brother's ex-wife's house. He's aware of how pathetic that is. Leaning over the sink, looking at himself in the mirror, he closes his eyes, wishing he hadn't let Shiv get to him. He was already rattled by her comments about him defending Gerri before she had hit him with her jibes about his sex life, or lack thereof. Plus all the talk about Mo and the Wolf Pack, things he hasn't thought about for years resurfacing. He wonders if his siblings notice that he's the only one who doesn't really talk about them. In the hotel room with Gerri, when she'd asked about the cruise ship dancers being promised Hollywood dreams while Roman was still working in LA, was the first time he'd said Mo's name aloud for decades.

There's a rap on the bathroom door. "Rome?" calls Connor's voice. "You okay in there?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," he calls back, irritated. "Just gimme a second."

"You sure you're alright?"

"Yeah. There's like, five other bathrooms here. Leave me alone."

Connor goes silent but Roman doesn't hear him walking away. Sighing, he takes his phone out of his pocket and stares at Gerri's number. He wants to call her, to ask her advice and just to hear her voice. He smiles briefly as he remembers her taking the photo of her own name being announced as Interim CEO.

When he lets himself out of the bathroom, Connor is still there, sitting on the floor. He gets up when he sees Roman. "Hey."

"Hey." Roman runs a hand through his hair as he walks down the hall, back to Sophie's room where Shiv and Ken are probably still talking about what a sexless freak Roman is.

"Shiv was out out line," says Connor, patting Roman's shoulder. "She's just upset about not getting CEO."

"Yeah, cuz she's usually so delightful to be around."

"Well, you know I don't take sides, but I'm on your side."

"Thanks, man." Roman lets out the breath he was holding.

When he and Connor return to the child's bedroom, Shiv says "So-rry," in a baby voice and Roman calls her a whore, and everything's normal again. He's still thinking about calling Gerri as soon as he can.
