Gargoyles: Stone By Night Season 01 Episode 05
We see the elevator opening up with Elisa walking out alongside Owen as she says "Y'know I'm surprised at being asked back her Mr. Burnett, especially since I buested your Boss." as the two of them had continued to walk further inside of the place.
"Mr. Xanatos is not the sort to harbor a grudge Detective Maza, and he wouldn't dream of denying you the opportunity of seeing your friends." Owen answered back as they'd continued out into the castle courtyard and on up one of the towers where the Gargoyles were still in their stone sleep. Though that would soon end as the sun was beginning to set.
Once the sun had gone down the stone around their boddies began to crack until they'd broken free from their stone sleep and let out yawns stretching as they'd done so. "If you'll excuse me." Owen states as he then turns and walks off leaving the Gargoyles and Elisa alone as he went to do whatever work he had to do.
It was then the Gargoyles noticed them and had gotten down from their places atop the tower with Goliath stating "Elisa, what a pleasant sight to greet us as we awaken." while stretching as he does do.
"Well it's a slow night and I was in the neighborhood." She'd explained to them as the others seemed to be headed off in a hurry as if they'd had somewhere to be. "Well they're in a hurry." Elisa stated with a bit of a laugh about them running off so fast.
"They are facinated by the things they see on the television." Goliath answered about where the others were going off to before continuing to say "Every Night they rush to turn it on, but welcome to our home. Especially now that Xanatos is defeated and this castle is truly ours once more."
"They shouldn't believe everything they see on there. A lot of it is made up to entertainment." Elisa stated as she'd let out a sigh while her face changed to a look of worry and she then adds "Actually I wanted to talk to you about the living arrangement, you know Xanatos was only convicted of recieving stolen property right?" and noticed the confusion on on Goliath's face so she went on to explain "He was accused of that crime and that's what he went to prison for. But he only got a six month sentance, and we were lucky that it wasn't suspended. His Lawyers will probably get that time cut down." while she began to pace around a bit.
"What are you saying?" Goliath questions Elisa about what exactly she was trying to tell the leader of the Manhattan Clan.
"I'm saying you'll have to find a new place to sleep during the day, a new home. Have you given any consideration to what Dan had suggested about looking for someplace safe besides the Castle?" She'd answered back about just what she was getting at.
"No, this place is our Home." He'd answered back stating that the castle was theirs since Xanatos was defeated.
"I'm sorry but it's not Goliath. Xanatos bought it through all proper legal channel, and he could have you legally evicted, or worse, have you desposed of during the day. If he evicts you guys then you'll have no choice but to go, or else you'll become the bad guys. And if he just decides to dispose of you during the day then that'll be the end of your clan." She'd tried to reason with him about what could happen if they didn't listen and try to find a new place.
"You worry too much, Xanatos is defeated the Castle is ours, we are safe here." Goliath stated and started to walk off.
"Don't you walk away from me Goliath, we're not done here!" She'd scolded getting in front of him "What if there's an emergency and you have to evacuate the castle fast, where would you go? Or what if there's another incident like when you turned to stone at the park because you couldn't make it back in time huh? What then you just gonna turn to stone in a random alleyway where you could be easy targets?"
Goliath had started to get angry and growled with his eyes glowing stating "Elisa you are..!" He'd stated angerly before taking a deep breath and calming himself down "Right." He'd finally admitted about needing other places within the city to rest in case of emergency. "We will not leave the castle, but knowing of other safe places to rest around the city may prove useful incase of emergency."
Elisa sighed glad she'd gotten through to him and we then cut to the younger trio hiding up in the rafters of a building watching a live preformance of a group known as the pack. The Announcer was calling out random and honestly generic things about The Pack and the bad guys for the preformance about teamwork and having honor and bla bla bla.
"Y'know these guys are alright." Brooklyn stated about what they were seeing on the stage in front of them.
"Ya, wouldn't it be great to meet them?" Lexington questioned watching the show, as The Pack were preforming.
Once the show was over the other two had gotten up and stretched letting out a yawn with Broadway stating "Well that was fun, but the shows over and I'm starving." as he and Brooklyn was starting to leave turning back towards Lexington that was still sitting there and asking "You coming Lex?"
"Uh, maybe later." Lexington answered back and so the two left without him. "I'm going for it." He then told himself and moved to go backstage where The Pack were starting to leave before they'd noticed him and he glided down to them stating "Relax I'm not an enemy."
"Okay, this one's strange even for an Alien." The man called Wolf stated looking at Lexington in confusion.
"Oh, my kind are of this world. We're Gargoyles, and I'm a warrior like you." Lexington stated to the group of preformers telling them that he's actually an earthling like them.
"Y'know, I've heard rumors of another like you, one that's supposed to be big and strong." The woman called Fox stated in an almost flirtatious way. "I'd hoped they were true, y'know we'd just love to meet him."
"I think that could be arranged." Lexington told them stating that he could probably help them out with meeting his Clan Leader.
We then fade to the other Gargoyles back at the castle waiting for Lexington to come back. "Almost dawn and he's still not back." Goliath states about Lexington still not being back yet.
"He always cuts it too close." Hudson stated in response to what Goliath had said and they'd finally saw him coming down to land atop the castle.
"Where were you?" Goliath questioned crossing his arms in disapproval for him almost not making it back in time.
"I made us some new allies." Lexinton stated about what he'd been doing and why he had been late getting back.
"You don't mean The Pack?" Brooklyn questioned as he'd come closer questioning what he's talking about.
"I sure do. They're just like us, they protect the innocent only they do it on the television." Lexington stated about who he was talking about.
"That was not your decision to make, we need to be careful with whom we trust. Just because people no longer run screaming from us in this new world doesn't mean there aren't still dangers that we must face." Goliath stated angry that Lexington would just blindly trust those around them.
"Well why not? You made friends with Elisa." Lexington questioned while reminding the leader of his clan that he'd made friends with a human.
"That was different, Elisa discovered us on her own and trust was earned overtime. I didn't go out of my way to reveal our existence." The Leader of the Clan answered back about not believing everything he sees.
"You'll have to save the rest of this conversation for later lads, the sun's coming up." Hudson interrupted gesturing to the sunrise that was starting to peek through the horizon.
"This isn't over." Goliath stated pointing one of his index fingers at Lexington as the group had turned to stone as the sunlight had bathed over them.
There wasn't much that happened during the day, and eventually nightfall had overtaken the city once again releasing the Gargoyles from their stone sleep, but it was Lexington that had spoken up first. "Why is Elisa different exactly? These guys are defenders of the realm just like she is."
Hudson hearing this had gestured towards the younger Gargoyle stating "He may be right Goliath, I've seen them on the picture box. They are constantly attacked by these evil ninjas." while turning to look at the Clan's leader.
"Elisa warned not to believe everything we see on the television." Goliath stated about what they'd seen on the television.
"I didn't reveal any of our secrets I'm not stupid. But please Goliath, just meet with them." Lexington pleaded for his leader to at least hear them out.
Taking a deep breath Goliath sighs and responds "Very well, take me to meet them. If it is safe we will arrange a meeting for the rest of you." which excited the other Gargoyles.
Lexington then glided off with Goliath following after him to show his leader the group he'd met. The two had moved over the city going to the building where the preformance had been held only to discover that there was no one around. They'd gone deeper in but something about the place felt off for certain, and they were right. A bright light flashed as a grenade was thrown and it'd blown it front of them with the two having to jump away as someone had started shooting at them.
"It's a trap c'mon!" Goliath called grabbing Lexington to help him up and they'd run up the stairs of the stage show while continuing to be shot at.
When they were inside the woman called Hyeena had jumped down and slashed at Lexington before running off and letting out a twisted laugh angering him as he'd chased after her, and he'd stepped onto a trigger tile with Goliath pulling him back when spikes shot out from the wall.
"Cowards, I thought you fought with honor!" Lexington called as he and Goliath broke all the spikes and they continued on with two metal slabs slamming down both in front and behind them which then began to move forwards.
"Welcome to the gauntlet, ususally the traps in here aren't lethal but we juiced them up just for you two." Fox called from where she was standing at the rafters above the stage.
Goliath had bashed their way through one of the plates and ripped out the Hydraulics on the ohter side before throwing it through another wall and both he and Lexington had escaped into the city where they could get some distance between them.
"I don't believe it, they attacked us!" Lexington called as he and Goliath were looking to find a place for a moment to recollect their thoughts and decide what to do next.
"Yes, I suspect they must have planned to do so from the start." Goliath answered as he'd looked around and gestured for Lexington to follow with the two starting to climb up one of the walls in front of them while adding "This way, we should be able to loose them above."
The Pack had chased after them and started fighting on the roof with one of them throwin an explosive that caused it to partially collapse on top of a photo shoot happening in the room below, and when the girls tried to run off Fox grabbed one of them pointing a gun at her while stating "Relax and you'll live through this." as they were trying to use the woman as leverage to escape.
The Photographer had started taking pictures of all this was going on in front of them since that was the only thing they really could do and Lexington had tackled Fox as she was passing the hostage off to Wolf which distracted the others. When they were distracted Goliath took advantage attacking Hyeena and Jackal with a serious backhand knocking them into a prop wall where they got stuck and passed out.
Dingo tried attacking next but Goliath and Lexington were ready for him this time knocked back his exploding boomerang letting it discharge in front of him and knocking him back into a different wall which he'd slid down out cold.
"Finally some real action." The man called Wolf stated charging at Goliath but found he was a lot stronger than Wolf had expected being thrown into the same wall as dingo and sliding down it with the two Gargoyles hearing sirens in the distance.
"The Police are coming this way." Lexington stated turning towards the sound of the sirens coming up fast.
"Then we will leave our foes to them. Come, we must return to the castle there isn't much time." Goliath answered and the two had taken off as the Photographer had been speaking to Elisa about the situation showing her the pictures they'd taken.
They'd gone back to the castle having a discussion with Lexington stating "I can't believe I let them lure us into a trap like that. You were right Goliath we shouldn't trust blindly."
"Lexington, you were right as well. We must find new allies in this new world that we find ourselves in. To do otherwise would leave us truly alone. But we must still be cautious about trusting strangers." Goliath stated about finding allies as the others had come back from whatever they were doing.
"DId you guys hear, The Pack has been arrested. They got photos of Fox holding a woman hostage." Brooklyn stated about what happened to the guys they were watching on tv.
"I thought they were the good guys, I suppose the Lass was right, we shouldn't believe everything we see on the television." Hudson stated about what he'd overheard and what they'd been told while walking over towards them.
The Gargoyles had returned to their positions on the Castle and returned to their stone sleep once more as the sun had risen once again bathing the castle in it's light.
