Ash and his friends finally reached the Coumarine City gym. Ash's battle is about to start.
Ash vs Ramos
"This will be a three on three gym battle between challenger Ash Ketchum from Pallet town in Kanto and gym leader Ramos. Winner will be declared once any side is out of usable pokemon" says referee
"Alright, go" says Ramos sending his first pokemon
"We are in grass type gym. There is a high probability that Ramos will use sunny day to enhance speed of his pokemon as most of his pokemon have chlorophyll as ability, but even if I send the pokemon with snow warning it may be cancel out. " thought Ash
"Magnemite go" says Ash sending his Magnemite
"Jumpluff vs Magnemite, let the battle begin" says referee
Jumpluff vs Magnemite
"Jumpluff start with sunny day" says Ramos as Jumpluff released white beam in the air that made sunlight harsh. Ramos is awaiting for Ash to start.
"Magnemite use magnet meteor" says Ash as Magnemite glowed blue and landed on the ground that starts to destroy the battlefield and the pieces of the battlefield starts to float in the air. Jumpluff used speed to evade the attack.
"Now use gravity" says Ash as Magnemite uses the gravity as it increases gravitational pull by rotating the magnets in reverse. This causes Jumpluff to crashed on the ground and pieces of the battlefield striked Jumpluff.
"I am impressed," says Ramos as Jumpluff stood back though it's not floating.
"Things are not over yet. Magnemite use electric terrain" says Ash
"Jumpluff use cotton guard" says Ramos
Magnemite spins the magnets discharging electric that turned battlefield into electric terrain. Jumpluff used cotton guard to protect itself.
"Lock on and then zap cannon" says Ash
"Jumpluff use solar beam" says Ramos
Solar beam and zap cannon collided causing explosion. When smoke cleared, both Magnemite and Jumpluff are fine.
Soon effect of the gravity wore off and then both pokemon levitates. Magnemite spins his magnets and releases supersonic that made Jumpluff confused and then Magnemite uses electro web and then thunder that knocked out Jumpluff
"That's amazing," says Ramos as he recalled his pokemon back.
"Magnemite return, you were amazing" says Ash.
Ramos and Ash sends their next pokemon. Ramos sends his Victrebell.
"Poison type won't work on him, Frillish will be a good option" says Ash as he sends his Frillish
"Nice choice" says Ramos
"Frillish vs Victrebell let the battle begin" says referee
"Victrebell start with the leaf storm" says Ramos
"Frillish use whirlpool to collect it and then activate rain dance" says Ash as Frillish formed a whirlpool and collected the leaf storm and the soaked the battlefield. Soon heavy rainfall started.
"Now Frillish use ominous wind" says Ash as Frillish released the purple dark winds. Victrebell eveded attack by jumping in the air.
"Gotcha" says Ash as Frillish uses telekinesis to stop Victrebell in the air and then it fired a shockwave that engulfed the Victrebell knocking it out instantly.
"Victrebell is unable to battle. Frillish wins" says referee
"Nice job, take some rest" says Ash as he recalled it back.
"Ramos then sends his Gogoat. Ash then sends his Sceptile
"His sceptile looks strong" says Ramos to himself
The battle ended as soon as referee signalled battle to start. Sceptile is fast enough for Gogoat to track and then a strong dragon claw defeated Gogoat.
"That was quick young man. Your Sceptile must have trained hard. Since you defeated me fair and square, I ask referee to declare results." says Ramos
"Gym leader Ramos is out of usable pokemon. Winner is challenger Ash. Ramos then gave Ash is badge.
Back in the past, in Pallet Town of Kanto region, young Ash is playing in Oak's lab
"You have so many cool pokemon professor," says Ash as he is helping professor in feeding pokemon.
"Ash, you stay here, let me bring more food" says Oak as Ash nodded
As soon as Oak went towards the lab, multiple smoke bombs crashed near them and releases white smoke. That put Ash and pokemon to sleep.
Two male came near Ash and took his blood , skin sample and hair sample. Ten minutes later Oak arrived and saw Ash is unconscious on the ground
Back in future, Ash is unaware of the blood sample taken from his past self. The people who took blood sample returns in future and gave the sample to the scientist.
"Start the genetic extraction process" says the leader as they nodded
"How much time it will take for our first human android warrior for start functioning fully" asks the leader
"Two months " says the leader
"Well, make it fast" says the leader before he left
"Arcanine use fire blast" says Gary as fireblast connected Gogoat knocking it out instantly
"Gogoat is unable to battle, winner is challenger Gary" says referee
"Max do your best" says May as Max nodded
Max begins his Gym battle against Ramos by using Fletchinder to counter Ramos's Jumpluff. Fletchinder's first Flame Charge is unsuccessful due to Jumpluff's Cotton Guard, and Jumpluff takes the initiative to use Sunny Day. Due to its Ability being Chlorophyll, Jumpluff's Speed dramatically increases, but Max responds by having Fletchinder use repeated Flame Charges to raise its Speed as well. Eventually, despite a second Cotton Guard from Jumpluff, Fletchinder lands a hit and knocks Jumpluff out. Ramos next sends out his Weepinbell. Although Fletchinder tries the same strategy again, Weepinbell, who also has Chlorophyll for an Ability, dodges them and poisons Fletchinder with a Poison Powder. It then uses Slam to remove Fletchinder from the battle.
With both sides now down to two Pokémon, Max chooses Pancham to battle Weepinbell. Pancham starts off with focus punch and scores a direct hit against Weepinbell. Though its arm thrust is dodged and Pancham is poisoned in the same way that Fletchinder was. With the poison slowing Pancham down, Pancham falls victim to a consecutive combo of Razor Leaf, Slam, and Grass Knot. After landing a storm throw, Pancham is defeated by Weepinbell's Slam. As his final Pokémon, Max chooses Machop. After focus blast is dodged by Weepinbell, Machop uses Double Team. However, Weepinbell correctly senses which Machop is the real one and hits it with Grass Knot. Machop then counters Poison Powder by using its fire punch and starts spinning that act as barrier and uses fire punch to break through the Grass Knot and finally defeat Weepinbell.
Ramos sends out his Gogoat as his last Pokémon. After Machop's focus blasy collides with Gogoat's Vine Whip, Max tries Double Team again. Gogoat, however, uses Vine Whip to take out all of the duplicates and deals damage to Machop. Ramos pats Gogoat on the horn, understanding that they are both having fun with this battle. Gogoat uses Razor Leaf to distract Machop before approaching with another Razor Leaf from above. Max then employs the same strategy against Gogoat, by first using Double Team to distract Gogoat and then attacking with focus blast. However, Gogoat responds with a Horn Leech attack, healing itself as well as inflicting even more damage on Machop. Gogoat then uses Leech Seed on Machop, draining a lot of its energy. Ramos tells Max that Gogoat can use Leech Seed so well because Gogoat has complete trust with him. Max knows that he believes in his Pokémon too, but he begins to loses hope of winning the battle.
"Max , look at me" says Ash as Max looks at him
"You have seen me battling lots of time, and you know that the battle is not over until it is over. I mean think outside the box and see what you can do.I was like you when started my journey, I agree that in my indigo league journey all of my battle victory was mere luck. Then I travelled and gained experience. You did better in your Hoenn league journey than mine, now I don't want you to self doubt you. " says Ash
However, Pikachu provides some much-needed encouragement from the sidelines and Max realizes that they can still win.
Gogoat and Ramos are getting even more excited about the battle and Gogoat uses Razor Leaf to surround Machop. While Machop is desperately fending off the Razor Leaf attacks, Max remembers Ash's advice from before and instructs Machop to ignore the Razor Leaf and find Gogoat.
Machop uses focus blast and jump in the air. From inside came out multiple copies and saw Gogoat. Soon Machop came out of under the Gogoat and uses a powerful sky upper cut and landed powerful close combat. And with final attack, Machop grabbed horns and uses fire punch that burned Gogoat and uses seismic toss to knock it out.
"That's what I wanted from my challengers. " says Ramos as he present him plant badge
"We will leave now, we need to go and reach next town" says Ash
"I wish you luck for kalos league" says Romos
Under the Pledging Tree !
"Okay Goomy, your body is slimy which will help you to evade your enemies." says Ash as Goomy nodded
After their training Ash and his friends explored Coumarine City. They walk into the streets of Coumarine City, they notice lots of people putting up decorations for some sort of festival.
Ramos, who is passing by them on his Gogoat, tells the group "Every year, the people of Coumarine City hold a festival to celebrate the bonds between Trainers and their Pokémon by having the Trainers gather under an enormous tree, the Pledging Tree, at sunset and give special presents to their Pokémon. This tradition began with a legend of a man and his Pokémon traveling far and wide together before finally coming to stop at what would become Coumarine City, and planting a tree that eventually grew to become the Pledging Tree."
Ash and the others love the idea of the festival and decide to participate.
"So what gift we give to our pokemon" asks Ash
"I don't know, I mean I am not sure" says Serena
"What you say guys" asks Ash as others don't know either
Clemont and Bonnie stay at the Pokémon Center, because Clemont would rather build a gift for his Pokémon himself. While others went on different path to get gifts for their pokemon. Jessie and James are excited too.
Being alone with Ash makes Serena uncomfortable, as it reminds her of a date, but she and Ash have fun all the same. Meanwhile, Ash has a tendency to take notice of the most ludicrous or impractical gifts, leaving it to Serena to point out why they wouldn't work.
While Serena is looking in the displays of more shops, Ash decides to leave and find a present for his Pokémon himself, promising to meet up with Serena at the monorail station later.
Later that afternoon, Ash and Serena meet each other at the monorail station as they promised. Serena has found presents for Fennekin and Pancham, but Ash has had no such luck and is worried that he won't be able to find the right gift for his Pokémon.
As he enters the monorail station ahead of Serena, however, Ash is suddenly approached by workers at the station and congratulated for being the millionth visitor to the monorail, being given a long blue ribbon as a prize. On the ride back, Ash confides to Serena his difficulties in finding a present, and she asks him what he would want as a gift, because all of his Pokémon are similar to him.
"You are amazing Serena" says Ash as he has a stroke of inspiration for a gift and runs to the woods outside Coumarine City, searching for his gift to his Pokémon.
While searching, he sees a Dunsparce
and he decides to leave it. Ash quickly refocuses his attention back to the task at hand.
When Serena arrives back at the Pokémon Center, she sits down at the table Clemont is working at and the two of them work on their presents. Finally, the presents are finished and Ash runs up to them outside the Pokémon Center, holding a huge sack over his shoulder.
Meanwhile others came as well.
"Max what you brought" asks Ash
"It's a secret Ash" says Max
"Cabba, Kale and Caulifla what you brought " asks Ash
"Well you will see it" says the trio as others also arrived.
The group all heads up to the Pledging Tree, where they place their presents underneath it.
The ceremony begins and everybody begins exchanging gifts. Serena gives Fennekin and Pancham a pink ribbon and special sunglasses, respectively;
Clemont shows Chespin, Bunnelby, and Luxio the music box he made for them;
Bonnie shows everybody her drawing, and Ash gives all of his Pokémon a huge pile of Berries.
"Seriously, a pile of berries" asks Serena in disbelief.
"My pokmeon only want love from me and the best way is berries. " says Ash as his pokemon nodded
Kale, Cabba and Caulifla gave their pokemon set of training equipment. Max gave his pokemon a set of pendant with his and his pokemon's image inside. Everyone else did the same.
At the end of the ceremony, Serena notices one package left under the Pledging Tree. It is labeled for her, so she opens it to find a beautiful dress for her to wear at the Pokémon Showcase. Nurse Joy tells her how it had been sent to the Pokémon Center to be given to Serena as a surprise gift from her mother, and back at the Pokémon Center, Serena calls her mother to thank her for the wonderful dress. The festival is closed with a display of fireworks behind the Pledging Tree, and Ash gives Serena the ribbon he won at the monorail in thanks for her help in choosing a present for his Pokémon. Serena thanks him and promises to treasure the ribbon.
A Showcase Debut
Serena, and Shauna arrive at the Coumarine City Pokémon Showcase, ready to compete. Palermo arrives in a limousine and declines to make a comment to the crowd of reporters there, clarifying that she doesn't want to be there but is obligated to watch the Showcase. As the two girls are preparing for the Showcase, Ash, Clemont, Bonnie are sitting in the audience, excitedly anticipating the upcoming performances. The Showcase begins with Monsieur Pierre acting as the master of ceremonies and showing the audience the Princess Key with the help of his Klefki. During his introduction, Palermo comments to herself that there won't be another Kalos Queen like Aria. Monsieur Pierre announces that the theme for the first round will be Pokémon Styling, in which Performers are given ten minutes to dress up their Pokémon and lead them down the runway.
After several more competitions between Performers, it is finally Serena's turn. At first she is nervous, but when she and Fennekin look at each other, she is reassured and remembers that Fennekin is with her the whole time. Getting ready to style Fennekin for the Showcase, Serena remembers how Ash had once told her that nothing he and Pikachu do on their journey is ever a waste of time. Thinking about this, Serena takes care to put all of her experiences into her performance with Fennekin. When it is finally time for the two of them to walk down the runway, things go well at first, and the audience has a positive reaction to Fennekin's outfit. However, when styling, Serena had failed to recognize that the long ribbon on Fennekin's neck might hinder its ability to walk, and Fennekin trips on the ribbon just as they are nearing the end of the runway, scattering the rest of its decorations everywhere. Devastated, Serena shares a hug with Fennekin before accepting defeat as she receives the fewest number of votes from the audience and is thus eliminated from the Showcase.
Having changed back into her usual outfit, Serena finishes watching the Showcase as Shauna uses her Bulbasaur and Flabébé to great effect in the Freestyle Performance, winning her the Princess Key. As soon as the Showcase ends, Palermo leaves, having fulfilled her obligation of watching it through to the end, and noting that as she expected, there was no one like Aria.
That evening, Serena congratulates Shauna on her victory and promises not to tell Tierno and Trevor until Shauna has given them the news herself. Once Shauna leaves, Serena and Bonnie run ahead of Ash and others to get some food.
Clemont worries that Serena might not be all right after the disaster during the Showcase, but Ash reassures him, noting Serena's strength.
Early next morning, Serena takes a walk with Fennekin and Pancham to a dock overlooking the ocean, and memories of Fennekin's accident run through her mind. Suddenly overcome by her disappointment, Serena begins to cry uncontrollably despite Fennekin and Pancham both trying to cheer her up.
Palermo, whose limousine is driving by at that exact moment, recognizes Serena as the same girl from the Showcase and seems to take special notice of her, refusing to say anything specific about it to her companion. Blaming herself for her loss and at the same time feeling elated that she has finally been able to begin her dream, Serena draws scissors from her backpack cuts her hair above her shoulders as a reflection of her journey thus far. She also changes her outfit, donning a much more casual dress, hat and jacket with the ribbon that Ash had given her.
"Serena, you look changed" says Ash
"Did he really notice change in Serena's outfit" ask Misty in shock
"Is that wrong" asks Ash as everyone denied
"By the way you look amazing" says May
"Serena, we will train you. We will give you a coordinator tricks" says Dawn and May
The group then leave for their next destination,
on their destination towards the Lumiose city,
During their journey Ash and Goomy are training in the Lumiose Badlands when an injured Spoink appears and leads Ash and the others to its oasis home. There, our heroes find a group of Spoink under the control of an unpleasant Grumpig, who's using its psychic powers to control them and steal all their food
Goomy decided to battle as during battle she evolved into Sligoo.
The Spoink reclaim their stolen food. With all of the Spoink united against it, Grumpig begins to show remorse, and the Spoink that befriended Ash and his friends offers Grumpig some of the fruit, allowing Grumpig to continue living together with the Spoink as a friend instead of their enemy.
The spoink decided to go with Ash but he asked if he could join Jessie or James here. Spoink looked at the two and then he nodded before he joined James.
The Future Is Now, Thanks to Determination
As they continued their journey, Ash decided his pokemon for Lumiose gym. His team consist of Magnemite, Shinx, Toxel, Wattrel, Axew and Sandile.
"Axew use dragon pulse. Magnemite spin to deflect the attack.Shinx use night slash, Sandile bit on punch and use fire fang. Wattrel use steel wing and Toxel use acid.
Sligoo take the attack from Skorupi and then use bide" says Ash.Clemont and others sent their pokemon out.
"Cabba, Kale and Caulifla, I need to talk to you" says Ash as ge took them far away
"What you want " asks Cabba
"Well, wanna ask if you are annoying here or missing your planet. " asks Ash
"Kinda this is boaring, we used to train and Caulifla you were a part of gang weren't you" asks Ash
"Actually, I am kinda liking this universe. Though we miss the fight but" says Cabba
"We can battle but yeah, there are no strong warriors here" says Ash
"We can ask Zeno to arrange a tournament like that" says Ash
"Well, it will be good" says Ash
"Clemont, " says Ash getting his attention
"Bonnie said that you created the power plant" says Ash
"Not really, I helped in technical stuff" says Clemont as all of sudden all electric type pokemon starts to discharge electricity. In case of Pikachu he releases the powerful thunder ever that hit one of the rocky formation turning into dust.
"What's going on" asks Gary as he realizes that there must be something going on in the power plant. All pokemon starts to move towards the powerplant.
"Ash, what's happening " asks James
"No need to worry James, you stay here. Me,Gary and Clemont are going inside. You all stay here. Cabba, Clemont, Gary you come with me" says Ash
The group chases after them, only to find a plethora of Electric Pokémon waiting at the entrance, all of them with the same hypnotized look as Pikachu, Dedenne,Luxio. Magnemite, Shinx, Toxel, Wattrel.
"It seems electric types are affected by it" says Ash.
"Ash can you sense any human inside" asks Gary as Ash nodded and he concentrated and get signal of the human. "Grab my hand".
Arriving in a room where three workers tied up there.
"Who are you" asks the workers as they are startled
"We are here to help you. Who did this" asks Ash
"Don't know, five people in black outfit came here. In order to make pokemon free you need to get to central control room" says the people
"Let's find the central control room and then defeat those who are doing this" says Ash
As they starts walking they arrived in first corridor blocked by the guard.
"Who are you" asks the guard
"The question is for you" says Ash
"We are team thunder. We will capture pokemon of this power plant." says the male
"Too bad, you have to defeat me first" says Cabba as he appeared beside the grunt and landed a powerful kick that knocked him out instantly
"Good riddance" says Cabba
As they continued they faced multiple grunts as they defeated them. They reached the central control room in which there are lots of electric type.
The group hides in the center area of the plant, but unknown team spots them immediately and demonstrates their control by shutting down the power in Lumiose City, leaving the group unable to do anything for fear of the havoc new group is wreaking. Seizing their opportunity, team uses guidance waves to have Pikachu attack Ash.
Ash formed the barrier that absorbed the attack.
"Now who is he" asks the team member
"We don't know, they defeated our fifty grunts who were in the corridor." says the grunt
Ash caught Pikachu and made him listen to him. Soon Ash's other pokemon attacked him but Ash closed his eyes and sends the aura wave, this causedhis pokemon to calm down and get back to normal.
Ash's pokemon felt sad for attacking him but Ash reassures that this is not their fault. Ash's pokemon gets happy.
Clemont runs forward and tries to stop Luxio. However, Luxio attacks his Trainer with a vicious Thunder Fang attack. Clemont holds on to Luxio, saying that he is right there with his Pokémon and he knows how much pain Luxio must be in. Mimicking Ash's vow to never give up until Luxio is free from Team Rocket's control, Luxio finally hears Clemont's voice just as the superconducting ring in the center of the Plant glows red. Taking this chance, Clemont attaches his Aipom Arm to the floor and uses his body as Luxio's grounding, telling his Pokémon to keep discharging as much as he can. The overload is successful and Pikachu, Dedenne, Luxio, and the other Pokémon are temporarily freed from unknown team.
"No way, we won't let these pokemon slip from our hand " says the team
"Wait, why you all evil team want to steal pokemon, you can get them in wild" says Ash
"It is no fun, we are evil team that thrive to dominate world which means human and when you dominate them you get sense of achievement " says the evil team member
"Now, handover your pokemon " says the male
"Why don't you battle me, hand to hand " says Ash
"Fine, " says the group of evil people
They all charged at Ash who stopped everyone with ease and then kicked them that sends them crashed into the wall.Ash binded them with aura rings and it transformed into cage.
"Who are you" asks the evil team as they are trying to get away but the ki based rings are strong.
"I am far away from your understanding" says Ash
As Clemont nearly passes out from the electricity he endured, Luxio evolves into Luxray. Ash uses the aura sphere and destroyed mind control devices.
"Who are you, you are not an ordinary human" asks the members but Ash ignored them. Gary quickly called international police that arrived on the spot.
Outside, one of the workers leaves for Lumiose City in a helicopter, to everyone's surprise, Clemont asks to go with him, wanting to have some time at the Gym to train, reflect on himself, and prepare for his Gym battle with Ash.
"I will meet you Clemont, just be read for handover that gym badge" says Ash as Clemont vows that he will not lose to Ash.
"I am coming too" says Bonnie as Clemont nodded
