Today's class for less than a class and more of a introduction session, I find the class really unique and some are just weird at most but I know most of them are really good and trustworthy individuals, I think to myself on what should my next step be in the academy, there is still a lot I would like to explore like my classmates and the other class Ultimates. For now, I think I should pay them each a visit and start a little opening conversation. So, I decide to stop by for a quick lunch before I get to meeting the others. But, I think to myself where should I start, I know my classmates' names and their talents but it falls short of really knowing a person. Then, I am met with Chihiro, Makoto, Sayaka and Mukuro.
"Hey Hanako, you sitting here all by yourself?", Makoto asks me with a pat on my shoulder. I smile to some friendly company, "No, actually I just sat about a minute ago, seeing you guys are here, how about joining me for lunch?"
The group nods to my offer, and grabs a tray of their food and join me at the table. The environment just got a little lively with my friends here. "You sure made a longlasting impression on the class with your speech, back there.", Sayaka praises me for which I humbly answered, that I enjoy public speaking so it was not big of an achievement. "No, I disagree, you really showed some confidence there, some of us are shaken with the thought of walking on stage to even say a word.", Makoto points out, and I am outright honest that I can't even see the nervousness when my classmates introduce themselves. We continued talking about how rowdy the class and maybe made some funny remarks about some individuals like Yasuhiro's self proclaimed fortune telling powers and Mr Togami's pride probably going past the roof.
"Y-yeah but that Mondo guy, was really nice and tough, even when he was all intimidating but he stood up for me.", Chihiro mentions and I agree that he is cool guy, and caring too. But, Junko sure was acting really overboard with her attitude, kinda creepy no doubt. We could see Mukuro's face frowns when Junko was mentioned, "I apologize for my sister's behaviour, she just has a different view of things and that itself is what drives her to do the unexpected. Nevertheless, my sister has no intentions of harm."
We can sympathize and understand where she is going with this and we are already composed from today's events. I feel the same, everyone is unique in their own way and are here in Hope's Peak because of their talents regardless of how one would act. I think I don't know enough about my friends to really become true friends. "Thanks guys, love talking to you all but I want to start exploring more before evening comes. You guys can join me if you want to.", as I welcome them to accompany around my little field trip.
"I-if you don't mind me tagging along, I would like to.", Chihiro wishes to come with me. I smile at her wish to join, and ask if the rest want to, they politely decline as they too have some of their own plans for the day but wishes us both a fruitful trip as we leave the cafeteria. I express my idea to Chihiro to meet around the school and meet other students starting with our class and then to the other classes. "I like that idea, l-lets look around and get to know new people.", Chihiro nods in agreement as she suggests maybe the gym first as a few of our classmates are into sports and athletics.
We arrive at the gym room where inside we can see some students working on weights so we stop by to say hello. We started with a brown haired girl who seems to be enjoying her donut, "Hi, nice to meet you... Aoi isn't it?" The girl waves at us, before smiling saying, "You guys remember my name, amazing! But I can't recall your names just yet sorry." as she puts her hands together and bends as she apologizes for her short memory.
"Ah there is no need to be sorry, we don't mind reintroducing ourselves, I am Hanako Yuki, and my friend, Chihiro Fujisaki, we are from the same class this morning." After a while, Aoi's memory of this morning roll call comes back to her, "Oh you are the one, who made a cool, encouraging intro, and Chihiro, you must be the one into... what was it, computer magic!"
We both giggled at her attempt, but it was close enough, "It's programming, but yes it relates to computers.", Aoi gets the term now and is already enjoying this conversation, I recall that she is the Ultimate Swimming Pro, an excellent swimmer. "Yep, and did I mention how much I like donuts, I just love it, gotta be the best snack around." I think she has a really carefree attitude so open and free of any concerns.
We are then joined by another student only this one has a stature of a muscular giant, as she has white hair with a very bulky build with muscles everywhere as the eye can see and dressed in a martial arts uniform with only the threads on the outer end as it used to be as sleeves. I am actually quite intimidated to this student's appearance but Chihiro is really fixed on knowing who this student is.
Guess it couldn't hurt to have another in on the conversation. Aoi welcomes her friend over, "This muscular girl right here is Sakura." The huge ogress introduces herself formally to us two, "Yes, I am Sakura Oogami." Chihiro and I bow before mentioning that it is nice to meet her as well. Sakura then has her eyes on me, and as she inspects me, I can't help but wonder was she trying to see I was a suitable punching bag as I begin sweating. "You seem to be quite a strong fighter yourself. What is your name, warrior?" I introduce myself as Hanako Yuki and that I told her that she must have mistaken me for a fighter, but she denies it as she can tell I have experience in martial arts. Well, I was under training for Karate, Judo and I was proficient for my quick feet and precise attacks so I just say that I had attended some martial art lessons. She graciously ask me if I would be interested in having a friendly match with her and I tell her that maybe when I get back into some martial arts training to probably save my skin for the time being.
Sakura is happy at my consideration to accept her request and looks at Chihiro, and too is impressed at her resolve despite being petite. "H-how did you get so m-manly and t-tough like that?", Chihiro asks Sakura on her thoughts. Sakura asks why does she want to know and Chihiro answers that she also wants to get stronger too. She answers that to become strong, one requires undeterred determination, unwaverring dedication and most of all a drive to push oneself past their limits. I agree with every word and Chihiro wonders if she can ever make it that far, but Sakura assures her that everyone including Chihiro can get stronger with time and effort.
The Ultimate programmer is happy to hear some encouragement and wants to work to a goal like that. Already meeting and interacting with both Aoi and Sakura has given some views about their character and they are good friends to have to. "Thanks so much for sharing your time to talk with us."' I say that was a good catching up with some classmates as I thought to myself while leaving for the library next. I could see Chihiro in high spirits after getting to know some very friendly classmates. "You seem to enjoying our trip, Chihiro."
"Of course, I didn't know there is just so much you can learn about someone from just a conversation. See, I-I wasn't much of a social butterfly back then, you remember right?", Chihiro couldn't help but admit shyly about her timid nature. I say that she has already taken yet another step, "By taking the opportunity, to converse with people, you are slowly getting accustomed to be more calm when talking to others. Definitely, keep up."
We arrive at the library as we quietly let ourselves in and we could see a purple haired girl reading a number of books. "Hi, sorry to disturb, we were wondering if you have a moment to talk with us." She welcomes us to join her at the table, "I see you two must have be here to ask more about ourselves, to get to know your classmates better."
I was definitely not expecting her to figure out our motives so quickly, she must possess some precise deduction skills, "Yes, you are right, we came exactly to know the class better, I don't suppose you could share some time for a chat?", I politely ask while Chihiro too request for a minute or two. "Yes, I don't mind. What would you like to ask?" Chihiro asks for her name to which she replies, "My name is Kyoko Kirigiri." After that, we introduce ourselves before further inquiring about her interests and hobbies. The detective answers that she like reading books and figure new things before anyone else could. That last one is what I least expect to hear, guess she just likes staying two steps ahead of others. "Kyoko, you are a very keen and observational person from what you share, how about a bit more about yourself?", I asked.
"Sorry but I think I will only share as much as that.", Kyoko politely dismisses our question and we are not offended by her reply, "It is alright, thanks for sharing a minute with us, we will leave you to your reading." I could tell Chihiro was a little disappointed from that conversation as I tell her while we walk away that she just needs time to accustomed to the students in the place. "Don't fret, everyone works in their own pace, so keep your chin up, Chihiro." I think of the next place to visit next would be the student lounge, and there is one of our classmates here, as he seems to be dozing off on a couch. Chihiro remembers seeing him, "He is that fortune teller." I nod recognizing his get up, "Would it be rude if we wake him up while he is sleeping?". Chihiro too cannot decide whether we should just wake him up so we can just ask him things." So I suggest to Chihiro to just maybe just pass time a bit, "Why don't we talk for a bit while we wait for the guy to wake up, there's some chairs there, lets have a seat for a bit." I welcome the programmer to take a seat while I prepare some drinks for us, so I grab some juice from a jar from a nearby refreshments table and handed her one. "Here, we have been walking around the school all afternoon, so you must be thirsty." Chihiro kindly accepts the drink and it really feel rejuvenating to drink some.
We had some small talk about today's activities and how our class is going to be an interesting bunch. I then ask her on how she was fitting in for the first few days in Hope's Peak. "I-I think it is great, alread-dy we are making some good friends here, s-since day 1, I can't wait when we really s-start classes together.", Chihiro expresses the already wonderful start here in Hope's Peak Academy. I smile to that statement and really, "We students are all chosen by Hope's Peak Academy, I wonder what the school sees in us so special than many other talented people out there. Don't you wonder about that too?" Chihiro could relate to why I bring that up, seeing we are just fledgling teenagers, and yet we are all here selected to study here, as Ultimate students with talents of best in the world. "I-I think they see us more than what we are now, a-and maybe they want to helped us become beyond what we are.", Chihiro thinks of an answer. I naturally agree to that point, should be one of the expectations of having us here.
"You know, I think you are onto something here, Chihiro. I have this feeling that everyone we have met so far, they have this nature and aura unique to them, and from you as well.", I share with her my feelings on this matter. The Ultimate programmer smiles at the thought and asks me what do I see in her. I give it some thought before saying, "I think you have a hidden potential to help others, even though you were once afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone, but you have always wanted to become tougher for the sake of trying to carry the weight of responsibilities alongside others. A young, timid girl, who has the biggest heart.", I give her my point of view about her and she felt very touched to hear my thoughts about her character, as her face turns cheerful. "Really? Thank you, I wasn't too sure whether my feelings are heard but you made me certain of my own goal, Hanako."
Then, a voice came from ther chair, as the fortune teller student stretches, saying, "You my dude, sure have words that can revive the soul.", as we are now in the presence of the Ultimate Clairvoyant.
