Chapter 3-Doubts of the saved

Hello Hello you're a resident Stuufy here I just want to say welcome back to our third chapter of Imagine Breaker Beautiful Misfortune(IBBM)

Sorry for the short ass chapter honkai and school swept me up and very much distracted me so here's something rather than nothing

First arc: Misfortune emanation

POV: A Certain Magical Library

"I know I choose to come with you but I don't know why we should believe her." The white nun thought her actions contradicted her thoughts even though she wants to help Touma doesn't mean she wants to help her.

Because for all they knew she could be lying and even if she didn't she represents the reason Touma suffers, the reason Touma has been put through hell she had an internal conflict about why she should even help this girl then she felt something go on her shoulder it was othinus.

"Hey Nun, what do you think about this "misfortune" girl story." the fairy said, not buying into that girl's story.

"I don't know I couldn't even say anything earlier because of how much information was being given to us in such a short time." The white nun said remembering how dumbfounded she and othinus were from the sudden confessions.

"But if what she says is true I don't know then I don't think we'll get along." The white nun spoke with a dark tone as she let some of her ugly feelings slip out as she began to remember her thoughts from earlier.

10 minutes earlier

As she walked with Touma and othinus throughout the city of science as they searched for a place to get food she let her mind wander.

"This place still amazes me with how big it is and how much technology it has. I wonder where we are going to eat mmmm I hope it's something warm" The white nun thought with hunger.

Index thoughts were that of a normal day for her; she just thought about where they were going to eat. She was in an upbeat mood as she skipped alongside Touma as they strolled. She was about to voice something but before she could she got cut off by Touma crashing into someone and a loud shout from othinus.

"Touma, are you okay!" Shouted the concerned white nun

She wondered what happened as she was too distracted from her thoughts. All she saw was a beautiful gothic girl and Touma helping her up and then she saw the face of the girl. She looked shocked but then that shock turned into warmth and she began to hug him.

"Why is she doing that!?" The white nun Shouted in her mind, confused and shocked by what was going on. She couldn't understand why this stranger was hugging Touma with such a warm expression. Thoughts ran through her head like who was she and what was her relationship with Touma she couldn't even ask those questions until she shouted.

"TOUMA!" The white nun screamed with anger.

"WHO ARE YOU WHITE STREAK AND WHY ARE YOU CLINGING ON TOUMA!" The white nun could only shout and could barely hear the fairy shouting alongside her.

A Thousand words raced across her brain she couldn't understand what was happening she could only question why this girl was doing it. She heard Touma scramble words together as he said he didn't know her from the confused expression on his face showing her he was telling the truth. But then something the gothic girl said stopped three of them in their tracks.

"Hehe, you don't remember me right?" The Gothic girl said

This single line stops the White Nun and the misfortune boy in their tracks. They didn't know how this girl knew what happened to Touma, how could she think they only responded?

"YOU KNOW!!" The Nun and Boy duo both shouted in surprise and shock.

"How does she know about Touma's memories HOW? DOES SHE? KNOW!" The white nun screams in her head

Flashback start

She was so shocked by this before she knew it they were at a restaurant getting seats and food. She was so out of it by the recent news even when the food came she didn't even take a single bite yet. She couldn't comprehend what was happening and she didn't know if she wanted to. She could barely say a thing. How could she? She's meeting a person who knew Touma in the past and knew that he lost his memories. But more importantly, she's meeting the emanation of her saviour's misfortune.

"This doesn't make sense?" The white nun thought it was the only thing she could think and who could blame her for a declaration from the gothic girl saying she was the emanation of the thing that had been tormenting Touma his whole life? How could anyone say that? HOW COULD SHE SAY THAT WITH SMILE ON HER FACE?

Her mind went dark as she wondered how could the girl in front of her exist but she tried to hold herself back from those thoughts. Her mind strayed away once more as she could only focus on those words Emanation of your misfortune She could only think if this girl knew what happened then does she know everything Did she just stand by as Touma suffered from the misfortune she says she embodies the white nun wanted to know.

Then the white nun heard Touma ask if she was like that clone of him that manipulated everyone back in England but what got her attention was when the gothic girl said.

"I won't hurt nor do I hate you because honestly, I love you" the gothic girl uttered so easily

"WHAT!" The white nun screams and sends all of her thoughts to a screeching halt.

"She loves him, She loves him SHE. LOVES. HIM." The white nun thought the minute those words were spoken it shocked the trio. The white nun couldn't help but think how this day spiralled out of control when this girl came in. She disrupted it. She caused this chaos by her actions not that they were necessarily bad but just out of the blue and disturbed the peaceful day they were having. It was like she wedged herself in their daily life.

The thoughts swirl even more as the gothic girl keeps adding more and more information about herself because the more she gives away the more curious the white nun gets and when she asks the gothic girl about her past the expression she has scared white nun to her very core. To her it was like staring into a void of malice and anger; it was like she was overflowing with darkness itself. But she soon turns into a normal expression.

"What was that!?!?" The white nun started to panic in her mind as she tried to calm herself down to not have an outburst.

The white nun was scared of the girl right in front of her. She felt like she couldn't comprehend the gothic girl's existence itself like her existence was something wrong. This moment was engraved in her mind.

Flashback end

"I don't trust her, she just gives off this feeling. I can't explain it, you felt it too right?" The white nun said directing her concerns to the fairy on her shoulder

"I understand Nun, that girl. She has a certain feeling about her that's off-putting." The fairy confesses her thoughts on the girl as she is as shocked as the nun and can't understand why the girl gave off such a dark and unnerving feeling.

"I just don't know how I should feel about this. I am conflicted. I want to help Touma but if what she says is true then she's responsible for Touma's suffering and I can't just ignore that." The white nun expresses to the fairy she doesn't know what to do but to have her caretaker back and make sure he will be okay.

The fairy didn't respond. Maybe she thought it was hypocritical for her to say anything about it since she too was responsible for the misfortune boy suffering at some point in time or she had nothing else that needed to be said.

"We can't do anything now since the human fire has been lit and we both know how he gets so all we can do is help him on this path and find out what's going on." The fairy said

"Right!" The white nun said

Even if both couldn't trust the girl that they were headed after both still trusted the caretaker they love and always will be there to have his back
