Day 2
"Waah! Wa-ah-ah!"
Stolas shot up at the infantile screaming. He looked around his chamber to locate the source of the wailing. He then felt a tugging on his robe. He turned his gaze and saw Baby Blitz pulling on the robe while trying to roll over and tears streaming down his tiny cheeks. The owl rubbed his eyes as the fog cleared and he remembered the events of yesterday. He then gently picked up the impling and carefully rocked him back and forth. "Shh, shh, it's okay, Blitzy, you are okay," he said before yawning. A horrendous smell came into play. He knew what this meant.
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
"Come in."
Loona and Octavia came in. The teenage owl had her father's coffee mug in hand. Millie and Moxxie followed in tow. "Morning, Stolas," Millie said before trying to take Baby Blitz. Stolas was hesitant, while he did trust the southern imp woman, his body didn't want to hand over her baby boss. "It's fine, your highness, I know how to change a diaper," she explained.
The prince nodded and handed Baby Blitzø over. He then took his mug from Octavia and took a few sips. The much-needed warm caffeine began to wake the prince up. "Mmm, is that hazelnut I detect?"
Moxxie nodded. "I saw that you had some," he explained.
Loona sat down next to Stolas, "So, what's the plan today? Make sure that Blitz survives this spell?"
"Well, I believe that I have no commitments today, but I should make sure just in case," he said before sipping down his coffee.
Another knock at the door came into play. "Your Highness and company?" a voice with a posh accent said.
"Come in, Angela," Stolas said before one of his maids came in. She had a nervous look on her face. "Is something the matter?"
She nodded. "I am afraid that Lady Stella is coming to visit Princess Octavia in about 3 hours."
The group then got expressions of dread on their faces.
(Two Hours Later)
"Okay, Mildred and Moxxie are in their servant uniforms so they will look like palace staff. Loona is in the garden with Blitz by lavender and chamomile flowers so hopefully that will keep him calm and quiet until your mother leaves, is there anything we are forgetting?" the prince asked his daughter before putting his hat crown on, along with his cape.
She shook her head. "I think we have all our bases covered. If she does find Baby Blitz, we will tell her that he's one of the staff's and you wanted to be nice and offered to babysit for them," she said before adjusting her beanie crown and the necklace that Stella bought her, even though she hated the damn thing.
A knock at the front door pounded echoed throughout the walls.
