Chapter 3

**I own nothing as all belongs to J.K. Rowling**

A month had gone by since returning to Hogwarts and this Saturday was the first of many of a Hogsmeade trip day.

Luna decided to wear a blue jumper with a pair of light jeans and her trainers as it was not required to wear school robes today.

Luna skipped happily to the entrance of Hogwarts to await a carriage for a short ride to Hogsmeade. The carriage pulled up to her and she greeted the thestrals with a loving pet. She climbed into the carriage and was joined shortly by another two Ravenclaw girls.

The carriage made its way to Hogsmeade and the whole ride Luna thought about Draco. She knew a lot had changed within Draco and she was finding him to brighten her curiosity.

Upon arriving into Hogsmeade, Luna decided to start her time off in Madam Puddifoot's to get some more herbal tea. She exited the carriage and made her way to the cute tea shop.

Luna entered the shop and began to browse the different tea options. While she was browsing, Luna was unaware someone else entered the shop and made their way over to her.

Luna jumped at feeling someone tap her shoulder. She turned to see Draco standing there looking at her.

"Draco! You startled me! What are you doing here? Although, it is also good to see you" Luna said smiling as she began to turn to put her chosen tea into her basket.

"Well truthfully, I am trying to hide from Astoria, but running into you is a wonderful thing. How are you doing? What tea are you buying?" Draco asked as he looked into Luna's basket.

Luna smiled and said, "I am doing very well. Currently, I am grabbing more Chamomile tea as well as some Elderberry tea and English Breakfast tea. I like to have a hot cup of tea in the morning and before bed."

Draco smiled back at Luna and before he could respond he was pulled on the arm by someone.

"Draco! I have been looking all over for you! Come on we need to go to Gladrags Wizardwear!" Astoria said as she gave Draco a stern look.

"Astoria, I do not want to go in there. You can happily go by yourself" Draco said as he casually folded his arms across his chest.

Astoria then noticed Luna and said, "What are you doing here with the well-known crazy person? Draco you can not be associating yourself with someone like her. She is literally insane and not to mention way beneath you."

Once she had spoken this, Astoria knocked Luna's basket out of her hand and all the tea ended up on the floor. Astoria laughed as she pulled Draco out the door with her.

Draco looked back and mouthed "I'm sorry" to Luna.

Luna bent down and picked up the tea. She put them back into her basket and headed to the front to pay.

Once her items were purchased, Luna then headed out to go to Scrivenshaft's Quill shop as she was wanting a new quill. She entered the shop and began to look at the quills.

She let her hands ghost over the different quills in the shop and she stopped when she saw the perfect one. It was a beautiful eagle feather quill that caught Luna's eye. She noticed the price was out of her price range and put the quill back in place.

Suddenly, a hand reached out and grabbed the quill Luna had just put back. Luna looked up and saw Draco smiling at her. He went up to the front and got Luna black ink as well. Once he had paid, he returned to Luna with a bag of the things he bought for her.

"Draco, you did not have to do that at all. Thank you though for your kindness" Luna said smiling up at him.

"Luna, I am so sorry for how Astoria acted towards you. I do not think you are crazy. As for the quill, I wanted to buy it for you and some new ink. I really appreciate how you have been treating me knowing how I was before and everything during the war" Draco said as the two walked out of the store.

Luna smiled at Draco and when they stopped outside Honeydukes, Luna did something Draco was not expecting. Luna gave Draco a hug. Her body felt warm against his and he cherished holding her in his arms.

Sadly, as soon as the hug had started it also ended and Luna said, "Draco you are an amazing person. Do not ever forget that. What happened before the war and during the war has been forgiven. Now, we all can move forward in peace and love. I am so glad we are friends. But, you better get back to Astoria before she comes looking for you again. Thanks again for the wonderful gifts."

Luna smiled and after once last look at Draco, she disappeared into Honeydukes.

Draco watched Luna disappear into the shop and went to go meet up with Astoria and their friends in The Three Broomsticks.

Luna had returned to Hogwarts and was currently in her room writing a letter to her dad.

Hello Daddy,

School has started off really well. I am enjoying my classes and people are definitely for the most part nicer to me. This may surprise you, but I have become friends with Draco Malfoy. Now before you get upset, he is in a relationship and we are just friends. He has changed so much since the war. He is wonderful to talk to and he even bought me a new quill and ink! I have noticed a huge change in him and I believe it is for the better. Well, write back and tell me more about how the Quibbler is doing and let me know if you find any wrack spurts.

Love you Daddy!

Love, Luna

Luna placed her letter into the envelope and called her owl: Kilo over.

Kilo swooped over to Luna and he was a beautiful gray and white owl. She tied the letter to his foot and Kilo flew off to deliver her letter.

Luna then got up and brewed herself some Chamomile tea. She sat in the common room with a book and her hot tea. She opened her copy of "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. She began to read when she felt someone tap her shoulder.

Luna looked over to see a fourth year Ravenclaw girl standing there.

"Pardon me, but are you Luna?" The girl, who was known as Cara said.

"Yes how can I help you?" Luna said smiling.

"Well there's a man outside and he says his name is Draco. He said he wants you to go for a walk with him" Cara said.

Luna smiled and got up and said, "Please tell him I will be right down."

Luna went quickly to her room and cleaned up her tea. She grabbed a jacket and her scarf and headed towards the portrait. As soon as the portrait swung open, Luna saw Draco standing there smiling at her.

They both then headed down the hall and eventually they headed out the door into the brisk night.
