3 years have passed ever since the Peanuts gang had visited Australia, Japan and Canada, and 2 years after Charlie Brown and Lucy had buried the hatchet, everyone was less their usual selves, and ever since graduating from Birchwood Elementary School, our gang have improved from their usual selves. Charlie Brown had been succeeding at sports, but still made the occasional flukes.

Now, Charlie Brown, and everyone else around his age, are in Junior High. Linus, due to his knowledge, was skipped two grades. Janice, due to her knowledge about cancer and other life-threatening diseases, was also skipped 2 grades.

One day, on the last day of summer vacation, Charlie Brown passed the school he and his long-time friends would be attending.

"There it is." He said. "Sparkyville Middle School."
Then, Charlie Brown started to think about all the hard subjects he'd done back in elementary school, like the book reports he had to do on War and Peace.

"Oh no!" he thought. "I know middle school will torture me even worse!"
Charlie Brown worried all the way home. Sally was playing patty cake with Wally.

"Oh. Hi, Big Brother." Said Sally.

But Charlie Brown didn't respond.

"What's wrong, Big Brother?" Sally asked again.

"School comes back tomorrow, and it's going to be even more challenging for me. Older students, even more homework." Charlie Brown answered.
"Well, I, for one, am attending fifth grade." Said Sally.

"That's different, Sally." Said Charlie Brown. "It'll be tougher for me because…. I'm in middle school!"

The next day, the summer vacation was over, and it was time for all the kids to go back to school. Charlie Brown was preparing Snoopy's breakfast.

"Charlie!" called Joyce, his mother. "Get ready!"
"Just gotta feed Snoopy." Said Charlie Brown.

Then he turned to Snoopy.

"You be a good boy while I endure my first day at middle school."

Charlie Brown went back inside to get his gear, and because Clarence, the Browns' father, was at work, Charlie Brown and Sally stood right in front of their mother.

"I don't believe it!" Joyce sobbed joyfully. "My baby boy in middle school now!"

Joyce hugged Charlie Brown, sad that he was growing up.

"Come on, Big Brother. We're gonna miss the bus." Sally said.

"You be a good girl in fifth grade, Sally." Said Joyce, turning to her daughter.

Charlie and Sally Brown both plucked up confidence, and made their way to the bus stop. Sally's bus didn't come until after Charlie Brown's, so she had it a bit easier.

When the Brown siblings made it to the bus stop, there, already there, were Lucy, Linus and Rerun. Lucy wasn't dressed in her trademark blue dress. She was wearing an elegant red dress. Linus was wearing a blue striped shirt instead of his red one.

"Hi, Lucy! Linus! Rerun!" said Charlie Brown.

"Good morning, Charlie Brown." Said Linus.

"Are you looking forward to middle school, Charlie Brown?" asked Lucy confidently.

"Er….. I'm…. a bit nervous." Said Charlie Brown. "It's going to be even more of a challenge than elementary school."
"Since you're going to middle school, Linus, I'm just going to wait for my sweet babboo." Said Sally.

"I am NOT your sweet babboo!" Linus said with frustration, remembering how Sally would call him that all the time. "And I'm already here!"

"Not you!" Sally retorted, having finally stopped calling Linus that.

"Oh. Sorry. Still trying to get used to you not calling me that anymore." Linus said.
"Then who?" asked Lucy.

As Lucy asked this, walking towards the bus stop, was a red-haired boy dressed in a bright red cap.

"This guy." Sally finished.

"Oh. Hi, Harold Angel." Said Charlie Brown.

"Morning, Charlie Brown." Harold Angel replied.
Then he turned to Sally.

"Morning, Sweet Butterfly."

"Oh, good morning, Harold Angel!" Sally cooed.

"At least she's not after me anymore." Linus said with relief.

As Linus said this, another person was making their way to the bus stop. This was Heather Wold, the same Little Red-Haired Girl who Charlie Brown fawned over, and finally became his girlfriend. Heather was wearing a turquoise sleeveless shirt with a pleated flouncy skirt, and was still wearing a bow in her hair.

"Hi, Charlie Brown." Said Heather sweetly.

"Hello, Heather!" said Charlie Brown dreamily.
"Looking forward to junior high, Charlie Brown?" Heather asked sweetly.

"Er….. I'm…. kind of nervous." Said Charlie Brown.

"Don't worry, Charlie Brown." Said Heather. "No matter what happens, I'll be there by your side."

As Heather said this, another girl made her way to the bus stop. This was Janice Emmons, the very same girl who had leukaemia, but beat it. Her hair was longer, and she was wearing a blue headband instead of her old pink bow in her hair, and she was wearing a sleeveless pink shirt, pleated skirt, and white Mary Jane shoes similar to Heather's.

"Janice! Hello!" Linus cried.

"Hello, Linus." Janice said happily. "Hello, Lucy. Hello, Rerun. Hello, Heather. Hello, Sally. Hello, Harold Angel. Hello, Charlie Brown."
"Looking forward to middle school, Janice?" asked Linus.

"I sure am." Janice said. "Can't wait to see what they have in store for us!"
"Oh, but she won't be going without me!" came a voice.

The voice belonged to Lindsey Emmons, Janice's older red-haired sister, and she'd brought along Britney, their younger sister.

"I can't believe you're attending middle school early, Janice!" Lindsey said to her sister.

"And all because she had cancer." Britney remembered.

"Yeah." Said Janice. "It was those doctors diagnosing me that helped me skip two grades."

"I never thought I'd say this," Lindsey said. "but you really are gifted."

Meanwhile, at Tommy Halverson's place, as his father Boco left for work, his mother Karina was preparing his lunch when a ring of the doorbell was heard. Karina had already finished before answering it. It was Katie, now 8 and in 2nd grade.

"Oh. Hello, Katie." Said Karina.

"Hello, Aunt Karina." Said Katie. "Is Cousin Tommy ready?

"No." said Karina. "Please wake him up for me."
"Why? Is he not awake yet?" asked Katie.

"No." said Karina. "I've already tried to wake him up once, but as usual, once isn't enough."

Katie went into Tommy's room, and Tommy was still fast asleep.

"Tommy! Oh cousin Tommy!"
Katie pulled on Tommy's hair.

"AAUGH!"
Tommy got up and looked at Katie.

"Katie! How many times do I have to tell you not to wake me up like that?" Tommy said angrily.

"Sorry, Cuz." Said Katie. "But it's time for school!"
"Oh yeah!" Tommy said. "Middle School!"
"Yes." Said Katie. "That means I'm in second grade now."
"Oh, my little cousin! Growing up so fast!"
Tommy hugged Katie, who hugged back.
"Tommy! Your lunch!" Karina called.

"I'll be right down, Mum!" Tommy called back as he and Katie went back downstairs.

"My baby boy! Now a middle schooler! Well, in Australia it'd already be high school for you, but still! My baby boy!"
Karina sobbed as she hugged Tommy.

Tommy soon made his way to the bus stop with Katie following on behind.

"Have fun in junior high, Cuz." Katie said.

"Enjoy your first day in second grade, Kate." Tommy smiled.

And both cousins hugged each other tearfully as the bus, which read "Sparkyville Middle School" pulled up to take Tommy.

"Oh. Here's my bus. Have fun!" Tommy said.

"Enjoy your first day in middle school, Cuz!" Katie said as Tommy hopped onto the bus.

Soon, the bus arrived where the older Brown siblings, the older Van Pelt siblings, the two older Emmons sisters, and Heather were waiting.

"Oh. Our bus is here." Said Charlie Brown.

"Come on, Charlie Brown!" said Linus.

"Middle school awaits." Lucy said as she and Linus climbed on.

"Hmm…. Alright." Said Charlie Brown as he hopped on.

"Have fun, Big Brother!" Sally called.

"Enjoy yourself, Big Sisters!" Britney called.

Charlie Brown went to find an empty seat, while Heather followed behind. Janice and Linus took their seat, but there, in one of the seats, was Tommy.

"Oh. Hi, Tommy." Said Charlie Brown.

"Hi, Charlie!" said Tommy. "Looking forward to junior high?"

"Well, yes and no." said Charlie Brown. "I am kind of nervous."
"I'll be there by your side no matter what, Charlie Brown." Heather smiled.

The bus stopped again, and onto the bus stepped a certain red-haired girl with naturally curly hair of which she was so proud. We all know this to be Frieda. She walked across the bus and eyed everyone on already.

"Oh. Hello, Frieda." Said Charlie Brown. "How do you do?"
"Oh, I'm excited, Charlie Brown!" said Frieda. "Junior high will be fun, just as long as the lessons don't get in the way of my naturally curly hair."
"O…..kay." Charlie Brown said, looking the other way.

"She's always about her hair." Heather added.

Frieda found Tommy, and sat right next to him.

"Oh….." Tommy blushed. "Hello, Frieda!"
"Hi, Tommy!" Frieda smiled. "Looking forward to middle school?"
"I am." Said Tommy, eyeing Frieda with love.

Ever since Frieda gave him the valentine that day, and even after their trip to Los Angeles, and Five gaining feelings for Britney, Tommy had finally gotten over Emily, and now Frieda is his favourite girl.

"Say, you're looking handsome yourself, my sweeteridoo." Frieda smiled as she edged closer to Tommy, tickling his chin. But sitting directly in front was Lucy, who looked behind.

"Hey! Lovebirds! Save the love for later!" Lucy demanded.

The bus stopped again.

"Speaking of love….." Lucy smirked.

Onto the bus stepped Schroeder. While Lucy was cured of tormenting Snoopy, Linus and Charlie Brown, the only thing she wasn't cured of was her love for Schroeder.

"Hello, Dreamer Boy." Lucy smiled as Schroeder passed by.

"Huh." Schroeder huffed, not taking notice of Linus' big sister.

"Well that was a fine 'How do you do'." Lucy scoffed sarcastically.

The next stop the bus made was at the house where Scarlet Harper, one of Tommy's former enemies, lived. She'd moved into America shortly after Emerald's expulsion from Birchwood Elementary, and as she walked across the bus, she passed by Tommy.

"Oh. Hello, Tommy." Said Scarlet, eyeing him with Frieda.

"Oh. Er…. Hi, Scarlet." Said Tommy.

"Looking forward to middle school?" Scarlet asked kindly.

"I am, Scarlet." Smiled Tommy.

Then she turned to Frieda.

"Frieda. You got a very handsome sweeteridoo." Scarlet said, giving Frieda a gentle little punch. Yes. Because 'Sweeteridoo' is an Australian term, even Scarlet knows.

It wasn't long before the bus pulled up outside Sparkyville Middle School, and everyone got off. As Charlie Brown stepped inside, he was astounded.

"Wow!"
The halls were enormous, and numerous older students were present too. He was sure everyone he knew would be there too.

"This should take some getting used to." Said Charlie Brown to himself.

Charlie Brown decided to sit down on a bench when a certain sandal-wearing tomboy came up to him. We know this to be Peppermint Patty.

"Hiya, Chuck." Peppermint Patty said. "In the same middle school, I see."

"That's right, Patty." Said Charlie Brown. "Say, is Marcie here too?"
"Oh. But I am." Came a voice.

The voice belonged to a certain bespectacled raven-haired girl.

"Oh. Hi, Marcie." Charlie Brown said.

"Can't believe we're in middle school either, huh, Charles?" said Marcie.

"I can't believe it either." Said Charlie Brown.

Then Marcie turned to Peppermint Patty.

"Er, Sir. Since there's still time before everyone else comes, and since Charles is still thinking about how challenging middle school will be, let's leave him to think."

"Alright, Marcie." Said Peppermint Patty. "Well, it was nice talking to you, Chuck. Maybe we'll be in the same homeroom?"
"Well, thanks anyway, gals." Charlie Brown said.

Then Charlie Brown said to himself.

"Good grief! Homeroom! I'd better check to see which one I'm in!"

Charlie Brown opened his bag since he had his books and pencils in there, and there was a sheet of paper, reminding him which homeroom he had for his middle school years.

"Room 102."

As Charlie Brown had entered his homeroom, there were seventeen desks. Charlie Brown called on the teacher there, a kind red-haired man named Oliver Othmar.

"Oh. Hello, Sir." Said Charlie Brown.

"Good morning. Charlie Brown, is it?" asked Mr. Othmar.

"I am. And you, judging by your desk, are Mr. Othmar."
"I am." Said Mr. Othmar.

"Now why does your name sound….."
Then it hit Charlie Brown like a punch to the head.

"Oh, Linus will be most surprised." Charlie Brown thought, knowing how familiar his homeroom teacher's surname sounded.

Charlie Brown took his desk, and waited for everyone else who'd be taking his homeroom. In stepped Linus van Pelt.

"Oh. Hello, Charlie Brown." Said Linus. I guess we're in the same homeroom, huh?"
"We sure are." Said Charlie Brown.

Linus turned to the teacher.

"Hello Mr….."
Linus read the nametag.
"Othmar. Say….." Linus continued.
"Oh. You must be Linus van Pelt." Said Mr. Othmar. "My sister told me about you."
"You mean….. you and Miss Othmar are brother and sister?" Linus exclaimed.

"That we are." Mr. Othmar answered.

"Well, it's a pleasure meeting you too." Linus said before taking his desk.

As Linus took his desk, in walked Lucy van Pelt.

"Morning, Mr. Othmar." Lucy smiled as she took her seat and turned to Charlie Brown. "Hello, Charlie Brown."

"Well, it looks like we're in the same homeroom." Said Charlie Brown.

"Me and my sister in the same homeroom." Linus said.

"That we are, Little Brother." Lucy smiled as she took her desk.

After Lucy, in walked Schroeder.

"Hello, Lover boy!" Lucy said sweetly.

"Oh, good grief!" groaned Schroeder. "Since we're in middle school now, I want none of your funny business."

"Okay, Schroeder." Lucy said.

But little did Schroeder realise Lucy had her fingers crossed.

Following Schroeder, Frieda came in.

"Well, it looks like we're in the same homeroom, Charlie Brown!" smiled Frieda, patting her hair before taking her seat.

Next came Shermy.

"Oh. Hi, Shermy." Said Charlie Brown.
"Hello, Charlie Brown." Said Shermy. "Looks like we're in the same homeroom. Our middle school days should be like our childhood days."
After Shermy, Patty Swanson walked in.

"Hi, Patty." Said Shermy.

"Hi, Shermy. Hi, Charlie Brown." Patty Swanson said as she went to take her seat.

"Nice to see you too, Patty." Charlie Brown said.

After Patty Swanson came Violet Gray.

"Hi, Violet!" called Patty Swanson, happy that her best friend would be sharing her homeroom.

"Hello, Patty." Said Violet. "Hi, Shermy!"
Violet noticed Charlie Brown, and showed a smirk.

"Uh oh." Charlie Brown worried.

"Hi, Charlie Brown." Violet said, putting on her kind face.

"Oh. Hello, Violet." Charlie Brown said. "Well, let's get on with middle school, shall we?"

As Violet took her desk, in came Tommy Halverson.

"Hi, Tommy." Said Charlie Brown.

"Looks like we're in the same homeroom, aren't we, Charlie?" said Tommy as he went to take his desk.

As Tommy took his desk, he noticed who his was next to.

"Frieda!"

"Hi, Tommy!" Frieda smiled lovingly.

As Tommy sat down, he looked at Frieda with love in his eyes.

"Looks like I share my homeroom with my Little Naturally Curly Haired Girl." Tommy said.

"You sure do, my sweeteridoo." Frieda said lovingly.

As Frieda said this, in walked Peppermint Patty.

"Hi, everyone!" said Peppermint Patty.

She noticed who else was sharing her homeroom.

"Hiya, Chuck!" Peppermint Patty smiled. "Well, it looks like we're in the same homeroom, aren't we?"
"I guess we are, Patty." Said Charlie Brown.

"Well, looks like junior high won't be so bad after all, now that I'm here, huh, Chuck?" Peppermint Patty added.

"Say, where's Marcie?" wondered Charlie Brown.

"Right here, Charles!" Marcie called as she walked in.

As Marcie took her desk, there, sitting next to her, was Peppermint Patty.

"Looks like we're in the same homeroom, huh, Sir?" said Marcie.

"We sure are, Marcie." Said Peppermint Patty.

After Marcie, in walked Franklin.

"Hiya, everyone!" said Franklin.

Then, he turned to Charlie Brown.

"I guess we're in the same homeroom, huh, Charlie Brown?" said Franklin, giving him a friendly punch.

"We sure are, Franklin." Said Charlie Brown.

"Hiya, Frank!" Peppermint Patty called.

"Hi, Patty!" Franklin said.

Patty Swanson cleared her throat.

"Er…. Pattys." Franklin corrected. "Marcie!"
"Hi, Franklin." Marcie said as Franklin took his seat.

After Franklin came Scarlet.

"Hi, Tommy!" said Scarlet. "Looks like we're in the same homeroom, huh?"
"Yes. We sure are, Scarlet." Said Tommy.

Right behind Scarlet, in walked a certain blonde-haired girl, who, like Linus, had also skipped two grades.

"Janice!" Linus called.

"Hi, Linus!" Janice called back as she went to take her desk. Fortunately for Linus, Janice's desk was right next to his.

"Looks like we're in the same homeroom, huh, Janice?" said Linus.

"We sure are, Linus." Smiled Janice. "Too bad my sister isn't in our home room. But not to worry. She's in a homeroom a few doors down."

But after Janice, in walked rather a tall brunette girl with her hair in a high ponytail, seemingly put on some weight. Tommy knew this girl to be…..

"Emerald?!" Tommy exclaimed, remembering how cruel Emerald was to him.

"Hello, Tommy." Emerald smirked as she took her seat.

After Emerald, another kid walked in. This was the kid who was covered in dust.

"Pig-Pen!" Charlie Brown said.

"Over here, Pig-Pen!" Patty Swanson smiled.

"Hi, Patty." Said Pig-Pen. "I didn't know you were in the same room as me!"

"Oh brother!" sighed Violet, worried that Pig-Pen would make her lessons dirty.

"Now, we need one more student in this room." Charlie Brown said to himself.

"I wonder who it is?" wondered Lucy.

But nobody needed to wonder any longer, for in walked another red-haired girl, whose skirt was flouncy and pleated, a large bow sat in her hair, and white Mary Jane shoes.

"Is that….." Charlie Brown said, blushing bright red.

There, walking towards him, it was…. Heather Wold.

"Hi, Charlie Brown!" smiled Heather. "Looks like we have the same homeroom for as long as we're in middle school."

"I don't believe it!" smiled Charlie Brown.

Then he thought.

"The Little Red-Haired Girl is in my homeroom!"

As everyone took their seats, Mr. Othmar passed everyone their respective subject schedules, showing which classes they were to take during their first semester in middle school.

Once they received their subject schedules, they all checked which classes they were taking.

"I've got English, Social Studies, Cooking, Drama, Gym, Maths, and Science." Charlie Brown said, reading his schedule.

Once everyone had all read their schedules, they passed them around and picked out pens so they could write down if they were sharing any classes with each other.

As Charlie Brown got his schedule back…..

"Let's see…" Charlie Brown pondered. "I have English with Linus and Lucy, Social Studies with Schroeder, Franklin, Violet and Tommy, Cooking with Pig-Pen, Heather, Tommy, Frieda, Marcie, Violet, Scarlet, Emerald, and the Pattys, Drama with Shermy, Violet, Heather, Janice, Lucy, Schroeder and Linus, Gym with Pig-Pen, Franklin, Heather, Shermy, Peppermint Patty, Tommy, Frieda and Emerald, Maths with Janice, Tommy, Peppermint Patty, Franklin, Marcie and Linus, and Science with Janice, Emerald, Tommy, Frieda, Schroeder and Marcie."

"All good, Charlie Brown?" Heather asked.

"Well, we only have four classes together." Said Charlie Brown. "And by the looks of it, Pig-Pen's real first name is Percy."

"Good grief! Ah well. At least we have some classes together." Heather smiled.

"At least you have a couple of classes with me." said Lucy.

"Looks like we have cooking and drama together." Violet said. "Hmm….. Hopefully our teacher can let us replicate how we mistreated you all those years ago."
"That would make for a great story." Charlie Brown thought.

"Alright!" Schroeder cheered. "I've got music as one of my lessons!"

And Schroeder got a closer look at his schedule and who would be sharing it with.

"Linus, Janice, Heather….. Oh, good grief!" Schroeder groaned, eyeing Lucy's name.

"Well, at least we share some classes together." Lucy said slyly.

Tommy looked at his schedule.

"Aw…. I share most of my classes with Frieda. Well, as much as I love her hair, I have to make sure I don't get in the way of it." Tommy said to himself.

When it was time for everyone to go to their classes, Charlie Brown feared for the worse since Heather doesn't share his English class.

"Don't worry, Charlie Brown." Linus said. "You'll have me and Lucy by your side this time."

"And besides," Lucy said. "Even in the classes you don't share with your Little Red-Haired Girl, we'll be here for you."

"Thanks, guys." Said Charlie Brown.

When Charlie Brown and the two eldest Van Pelt siblings entered their English class, there were some unfamiliar faces as well as other familiar faces.

"Let's see….. There's Lila, Violette, Lindsey, Pierre, and Roy. Well, shouldn't have that much trouble fitting in." Charlie Brown said, not eyeing any of the other students.

"Salut, Charles!" said Violette.

"Sharing the same Anglais class, I see." Said Pierre.

"That we are." Said Charlie Brown. "Let's see what it's like."

"Hi, Charlie Brown." Said Roy. "Looks like we're in the same school."

"Can't believe it either." Said Charlie Brown.

As Charlie Brown took his seat, in walked their teacher, a raven-haired man named James Steele.

"Good morning, Class." He said. "I am Mr. Steele, and I'm your English teacher."

"Good morning, Mr. Steele." Everyone said.

"Wow. He's a polite teacher." Charlie Brown thought.

"I wonder how this English class will help me." thought Lila.

After his English class, Charlie Brown was to attend his Social Studies class. He knew he'd be sharing it with Violet, Schroeder, Franklin and Tommy.

"Oh. Hello, Tommy." Said Charlie Brown. "So, how was your textiles?"
"Well," said Tommy. "They showed us the basics of sewing fabric together, Charlie."

"How I wish I had a textiles class." Charlie Brown thought.

"Meanwhile, Charlie Brown." Violet said. "We have social studies to attend."

"Wish me luck." Sighed Charlie Brown.

As they all entered their class, there were some more familiar faces.

"Wow! I didn't know you and I had social studies together." Charlie Brown said, eyeing Roy.

"I'll be by your side too, Charlie Brown." Said Roy.

As he finished, in walked a kind middle aged woman with black hair, Janine Elliot.

"Good morning, Class." She said in a Mid-Atlantic accent. "And welcome to your social studies class. For our first lesson of the semester, we will be doing Geography."

"This should be a breeze." Said Charlie Brown. "After all, I have travelled around the world."

"Since I did come from Australia…." Tommy thought. "It shouldn't be too hard."

Later that day, Charlie Brown had a cooking class. One of the things he still needed to improve on was cooking. He saw he'd be sharing his class with Pig-Pen, Heather Wold, Tommy, Frieda, Marcie, Violet, Scarlet, Emerald, and the Pattys. And even Mary.

"Hiya, Chuck!" said Peppermint Patty.

"Looks like we'll be sharing a cooking class, huh, Charles?" said Marcie.

"Our first class together." Said Heather Wold.

"At least some of my friends are sharing my cooking class." Said Charlie Brown to himself.

"Uh oh." Tommy sighed, eyeing Emerald. "I hope Emerald won't play any cruel tricks on me."
"Don't worry, Tommy." Said Frieda.

"I'm gonna make sure Emerald doesn't get in anyone's way." Scarlet added.

Tommy wasn't convinced.

"Ugh! Pig-Pen!" Violet groaned, eyeing the dusty kid.

"Hi, Violet!" Pig-Pen said. "Like your cooking class?"

"As long as you keep your dust away from me, I'll be fine!" Violet retched.

"Aw, come on!" smiled Patty Swanson. "A little dirt never hurt anyone."

"Except food." Violet said in disgust.

Soon, it was lunch time, and everyone gathered in the cafeteria. Charlie Brown had with him an ice cream sandwich.

"What the hey. A nice change from the usual peanut butter." Charlie Brown said to himself.

Charlie Brown turned toward Scarlet and Emerald. Scarlet saw Tommy giving Emerald half a dozen jelly doughnuts.

"Good grief!" groaned Charlie Brown. "I hope Emerald doesn't outdo Olaf."

As Charlie Brown worried, Violet and Patty Swanson walked over to him.

"Say, how are you enjoying middle school so far, Charlie Brown?" asked Patty Swanson.

"It's…. alright so far." Said Charlie Brown. "Cooking, Social Studies, English, they're pretty interesting."

"Looks like we have another class together after lunch." Said Violet.

"And Violet will tell you some news once the day is over." Patty Swanson added.

"Oh, good grief!" sighed Charlie Brown, remembering how Violet and Patty Swanson would throw parties and exclude him from almost all of them.

And Violet was right about the class. Charlie Brown had a drama class, and he was sharing it with Shermy, Violet, Heather, Janice, Lucy, Schroeder and Linus.

"Hi, Charlie Brown." Said Schroeder. "Looks like we're in another class together."

"Hopefully we can act out how we did when we were younger." Said Charlie Brown.

"Like….. how I used to charge nickels for psychiatry." Lucy said.

"And like how we'd each pull the football away from each other." Charlie Brown added.

"And how I suffered cancer." Added Janice.

"As well as how Charlie Brown annoyed me one day." Shermy said.

"Annoy you?" Charlie Brown wondered.

*flashback*

Charlie Brown was walking by Shermy and Patty Swanson one day, being his joyful self.

"Well, here comes Old Charlie Brown." Shermy said.

Charlie Brown continued to walk by, as Shermy and Patty Swanson watched.

"Good old Charlie Brown." Shermy said. "Yes Sir. Good Old Charlie Brown."
As Charlie Brown exited their sight, Shermy looked away with an angry look.

"How I hate him!"
"You hate Charlie Brown?" Patty Swanson asked.

"He was bugging me earlier." Shermy said. "I just had to let it out of my system."

*Flashback over*

"Oh." Said Charlie Brown. "So I was rather mischievous myself."
"Yes, Charlie Brown." said Shermy. "But we were little kids back then, so you didn't know any better."

"Guys! Enough bickering!" Violet called. "Out teacher is coming!"

In walked a woman with her brown hair in a high ponytail similar to Emerald's, and her name was Katrina Kelp.

"Your attention please!" Miss Kelp called in her Kiwi accent. "I am your teacher, Miss Kelp."

"Good afternoon, Miss Kelp." Everyone said.

"Since today is the last lesson of the first day," Miss Kelp said. "I would like to make this short."

Every kid cheered.

"So I would like you all to show what drama is to you."

Everyone did their performances as their own interpretations of drama.

An hour later, the bell rang, telling everyone it was time to go home for the day.

"Well," said Miss Kelp. "There goes the bell! Have a good evening!"

As Charlie Brown exited Sparkyville Middle School, Violet and Patty Swanson came up to him.

"Charlie Brown." Said Violet. "This is what I've been gossiping with Patty about."

"Yes, Violet?" Charlie Brown prepared for the worst.

"We are throwing a party!" Patty Swanson started.

"And you're invited!" Violet finished.

"I know." Charlie Brown sighed. "Some things never ch… what?!"

"Since it's our first week in middle school," continued Violet. "what better way to end it all than a party to celebrate making it to junior high?"
"Really? A party? And you're inviting me? Wow! Thanks, girls!" Charlie Brown said happily.

When Charlie Brown got home, there, walking in sulkily, was Sally.

"It's just not fair!" groaned Sally.

"What isn't fair?" asked Charlie Brown.

"We get homework on the first day of school!" Sally grumbled.

"Welcome to the years of being older." Said Charlie Brown.

"I don't see what you're so happy about, Big Brother." Sally said. "You're in middle school, which is even harder than fifth grade!"

"Well, it is." Charlie Brown said. "but in other news, Violet has just invited me to a party to celebrate us making it to middle school."
"Good for you, Big Brother." Said Sally.

Meanwhile, Heather Wold got home, and there, walking towards her, was her little brother Henry Wold, now three.

"Hello, Little Henry!" said Heather.

"How was school, Big Sistaw?" asked Henry, who'd learned to speak full words at age 2.

"It was fun." Said Heather. "I've got a few classes with my friends, and some of them are with Charlie Brown."

"Dat's wonderful!" Henry said.

The next day, Charlie Brown's first class of the day was Gym, and he was doing it with Franklin, Heather, Shermy, Peppermint Patty, Tommy, Frieda and Emerald. The boys changed into jogging shirts and shorts, and girls changed into leotards, and Peppermint Patty changed into sneakers and legwarmers, and wore a sweatband.

"Let's see here…. Oh no!"
Much to Charlie Brown's horror, not only was Emerald in his gym class, but a certain short-tempered boy was there too.

"T….Thibault!"

"You'd better watch it, punk!" said Thibault, eyeing Charlie Brown. "Any physical harm to me, and all your bones will be broken before we finish middle school!"

"Good grief!" sighed Charlie Brown.

Heather Wold walked up to Charlie Brown.

"Don't worry, Charlie Brown." Said Heather. "I'll watch over if anyone threatens you."

Charlie Brown looked around the class, and much to his surprise, there was the very poodle performer herself, Polly, and due to sports, she replaced her boots with sneakers.

"Polly?"

Polly overheard and looked over towards Charlie Brown.

"Oh. Hello….. er…?"

"Charlie Brown."

"Hi, Charlie Brown." Said Polly. "Say, how do you know me?"

"Let's just say I watched your performances sometimes." Said Charlie Brown.

Peppermint Patty walked over to Charlie Brown.

"Hey, Chuck! Looks like we've got something else together!" said Peppermint Patty.

Then, Charlie Brown remembered Thibault.

"Don't worry about Thibault, Chuck." Said Peppermint Patty. "Didn't Heather say she'd look out for you?"

"Well, she did." Said Charlie Brown.

"We'd better get in shape, Chuck." Peppermint Patty said.

After gym, it was maths with Janice, Peppermint Patty, Tommy, Franklin, Marcie and Linus.

"Hi, Charles." Said Marcie. "Looks like we have a class together after all."
"That we do, Marcie." Said Charlie Brown. "Well, two to be precise."

"That's two! Two classes together! Ha ha ha!" Tommy chuckled.

"No time for references, Thomas." Said Marcie. "We have a math class to do."

"I know math in middle school will be trickier." Said Franklin.

"That's the only worry I have." Said Charlie Brown.

And after maths, it was science. Charlie Brown shared his class with Janice, Emerald, Tommy, Frieda, Schroeder and Marcie.

"I can't wait to see what sorts of experiments we'll be doing here, Charles." Marcie said.

"I can't wait to tell everyone how we get diagnosed with cancer if we have symptoms." Said Janice.

"We're sure to have fun in science, Charlie." Added Tommy.

When everyone went to take their seats, Marcie looked over towards one desk. There was…..

"Oh, good grief!" Marcie groaned. "It's Floyd! The very Lambcake!"

"Hi, Marcie!" Floyd said. "Don't worry about me."
"Well, if you say so, Floyd." Marcie said solemnly as she sat down.

After lunch and English that day, Charlie Brown went home, with more confidence inside of him. When he went upstairs, there was Sally doing her homework.

"Sally." Said Charlie Brown.

"Not now, Big Brother." Said Sally.

"Sally." Said Charlie Brown. "Violet told me that you're invited to her party too. It's on Friday after school."
"A party? Really, Big Brother? That's amazing!" Sally cheered.

Sally was so happy about going to a party, she gained some determination inside of her, and set to work on her homework.

That Friday after school, Charlie Brown, Sally, Woodstock and Snoopy were making their way to the Grays' place where Violet's party was to be held. When they got there, there was Violet.

"Come on in, Sally, Charlie Brown, Snoopy." Violet said happily.

"Yay!" cheered Sally as she, Charlie Brown, Woodstock and Snoopy went in.

"I didn't expect Sally to be excited about going to a party." Violet said to herself.

Charlie Brown was surprised. All of his friends were at Violet's party, which was full of food, drinks, and even a disc jockey, where Snoopy went up to.

"Yay!" Snoopy cheered as he got there, and Woodstock stood on the player.

Frieda went up to Tommy.

"How do you like middle school so far, Tommy?" asked Frieda.

"It's fine I guess." Tommy said.

"Well, nothing is too fine for my sweeteridoo." Frieda said lovingly, and she wrapped her right arm around Tommy, and touched his chin with her left.

"Aw, Frieda! Not in front of Violet!" Tommy said, blushing bright red.

"Ah, let her watch." Frieda said, as she puckered up.

"Come on, Thomas!" called Marcie. "Bring Frieda along and dance with us!"

So everyone ran towards the living room floor, and did their traditional dance, while Snoopy changed the disc to traditional music. On the DJ, "Better When I'm Dancin'" was playing, and everyone started their traditional dances.

"Ready to dance, Chuck?" asked Peppermint Patty. "Everyone else is!"

"Come on, Charlie Brown!" called Heather Wold. "Let's dance!"
Heather pulled Charlie Brown by the hands, and she brought him onto the dance floor, and danced with him.

"Well, this makes up for a hard week at middle school." Said Charlie Brown.

Pig-Pen began to dance with Patty Swanson.

"A little dance with dirt never hurt anyone." Smiled Patty Swanson.

Sally, on the other hand, started to feel pain in her feet as she did her dance moves.

"Ow! Ouch! Aaugh!" Sally kept groaning.

"Er…. Sally?" quizzed Charlie Brown. "What's wrong?

"My feet are hurting!" Sally groaned.

"Well, we'll see what's wrong later." Charlie Brown said as he continued to dance with Heather.

But how come Sally's feet are hurting? Well, that's a story for next time.
