Fiyero, Elphaba and Boq spent the night and most of the next day talking about not only what they're going to do with Pfannee, they have also figured out how Boq was going to juggle two dates.
The plan is that Boq would show up as himself first for Galinda and later change to Bonella for Shenshen and after that, he'll take the disguise and throw them away so that Bonella Closet is gone for good.
Boq and Fiyero who are wearing casual evening wear went to pick up Galinda and Elphaba who are also dressed up. The door opens revealing Galinda who of course wears a short light sparkly pink strapless dress with different flowers on it. Elphaba walks slowly behind her wearing a long black dress with lacy flower pattern sleeves covering her green arms.
"Evening ladies," greeted Fiyero.
Galinda gasped. "You men look so handsome!"
"And you look very beautiful Galinda," Boq said taking her hand and kissing it making her blush.
Fiyero gets a look at his girlfriend's appearance. "Fae. You look amazing!"
"Thanks," replied the green girl. "I just hope that it doesn't go the way it did like my first party."
"Oh hush Elphie," Galinda said playfully. "Tonight is going to be way different. Right Boq?"
He nodded a reply with a small smile. Tonight is going to be very different indeed.
"Shall we go?" Asked the blonde.
With that the two couples walked out of Crange Hall and strolled to the Ozdust Ballroom where Spring Fling is being held.
They meet with Nessa outside the Ozdust in a lovely light purple dress and silver shoes.
"Nessa," Elphaba calls and her sister looks up smiling.
"Fabala," she says holding her arms out for a hug. "You look wonderful!"
"You are too Nessa," Elphaba replies crouching down and wrapping her arms hugging her.
"Let's go inside!" The blonde said excitedly. "They have a lot of hors d'oeuvres and punch!"
They were just going inside but Boq saw Pfannee, Milla and Shenshen all dressed up going inside giggling happily. Pfannee wears a very hot pink taffeta dress while Milla wears a long turquoise dress with straps off her shoulders and Shenshen wears a long sleeved light yellow silk dress.
He was in his thoughts distracted when Galinda waves her hand in front of his face.
"Boq! Hey Boq," Galinda says getting him back to focus, "Let's go inside!"
He snapped out of his thoughts.
"Oh! Oh yes," he said before clearing his throat and the two went inside.
The ballroom is beautifully decorated for springtime. Pink, yellow, and green balloons scattered around the room, long sparkly silver streamers hung from the ceiling and lights on. The punch table has an ice sculpture shaped like a fountain and has the Ozdust's signature punch flowing on it's own like a real fountain. The appetizer table is filled with lots of things like shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, oysters and boards of cheese, crackers and meats. Classical music plays from the orchestra who are seated on the stage.
"Wow, the ballroom looks so extravagant," Galinda says taking it in. "Doesn't it look beautiful Boq?"
"It does," he said. It sure is swankified.
They went to the appetizer table where Elphaba and Fiyero are.
"Ooooh! Crabbie cakes," Galinda squeals taking one off of the plate putting it on hers and grabbing another, "My favorite!"
Boq smiled at his girlfriend's excitement and took some food from the table to put on his plate as well and taking a bite.
After Galinda put enough on her plate and turns to see her friends not far from them and says, "Oooooh! The girls are here! Let's go meet them!"
His smiled faded at her suggestion after he threw his plate away.
"Glin, I don't think that's such a-"
His girlfriend pulled him over to the group and says, "Hello girls!"
"Good evening Galinda," Pfannee said keeping that fake smile plastered on her face. Shenshen waves with a genuine smile as well but Milla was quiet.
"I'm glad that we're all able to share this evening together," the blonde girl giggles eating her crab cakes.
"Me too," Pfannee agrees sounding enthusiastic.
"Me three," Shenshen said her eyes looking around for Bonella. "But my date should be here soon. She said she was going to leave tonight after this. She couldn't have gone without saying goodbye."
Galinda assures her. "Don't worry about it Shenshen! Bonella will turn up! I'm sure of it!"
Boq looked down kind of guilty. Part of the plan was to tell both Galinda and Shenshen the truth together about the whole Bonella thing. He was going to do it after the party after changing into Bonella halfway through.
He snapped out of his thoughts when the lively music begins to fill he air.
"Oooooh! Wanna dance with me Boq?"
The Munchkin looked at her and replies, "Sure!" He took her hand and went to the front of the ballroom where they danced along with other couples.
"Are you enjoying the dance so far Boq?" Galinda asked.
"Oh I am! It's really wonderful!" He twirls her around and she giggles.
"Y'know what's more wonderful, is you." He finishes.
Her blue eyes look up and smiled widely. "Awww Boq! So are you! That's why I'm happy to have you as my boyfriend!"
Boq chuckles and they danced a few more minutes and talking some more until the musicians decided to take a short break and everyone goes to the buffet line.
"I'm going to grab a little something Glin. Those shrimp are really good."
The blonde nodded. "Alright. I'll go talk to my friends." She gives him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be back dearest!"
Both his cheeks are red as she walks away. He sighs dreamily walking over to the punch table where Fiyero and Elphaba are at.
"Hey. Anything about Pfannee?" He asked the couple.
Elphaba shook her head holding a cup of punch. "Nothing yet. Everything looks like it's running swimmingly so far."
Fiyero eats the caviar off of his plate shaking his head.
"Still though, I have a pretty bad feeling about all this," he said worried looking around making sure Pfannee wasn't anywhere nearby.
He leaned close and asked the green girl asking sure no one else hears the conversation. "Did Madame Morrible say anything to you about the missing diary?"
The green girl shrugged shaking her head. "No. In fact, Madame Morrible never said anything to me all day… Something is suspicious about that."
Boq theorizes, "Maybe that was exactly what Pfannee was trying to do. She wants to frame you for stealing in front of everyone."
"But Fiyero has it in his bag," the green girl said now realizing what might happen next.
"Which means that she'll be accusing you of stealing," Boq said pointing it out, "And she could get in trouble for that."
Elphaba looked panicked. "Do you hear what I am saying Boq!? If Fiyero has it and anybody else finds out, then he'll get in trouble all because of me!"
Her boyfriend puts his hands on her shoulders and said calming her down having her look into his sapphire blue eyes. "Fae, she's only targeting you. Not anyone else. And Galinda may be the next victim but that's never gonna happen. And don't worry about a thing. We are going to end her even if it's the last thing we do."
The green girl took a deep breath letting it go before admitting, "You're right Yero. I never thought of that."
The prince smiles. "Good."
Boq looks over at Shenshen who's sitting at table looking sad and bored waiting for her date.
He looked to Elphaba and said, "I need your help. Can you keep Galinda occupied?"
The green girl sighed, "Fine."
With that, Boq ran out of the ballroom. He quickly ran to the forest where he left his bag. Making sure he wasn't seen by anyone else, he changed.
After finishing, Bonella goes back to the ballroom wearing a not-so-fancy blue dress. Boq bought that dress at a discount store last minute along with white sandal shoes which make him super uncomfortable.
She fixes her red wig going back inside going to the table where Shenshen is. When she came closer the girl looked up.
"Oh you came!" Shenshen exclaims happily standing up from her chair.
"I came," Bonella said feigning laughter.
"Where have you been? You've been missing everything!"
"I was… Packing. Packing my things before leaving tonight!"
"But you can't leave without a dance!" She said.
Bonella sighs, I guess I can't.
"Shall we?" Shenshen asked holding out her hand and reluctantly the redhead took it and they walked to the dance floor as the orchestra plays the waltz.
Shenshen wraps her arms around Bonella and the two dance.
She giggles. "This is fun! I wish you weren't leaving!"
"I wish I was," the redhead mutters to herself continuing to dance until something hard went on top of her sandaled foot.
"Ow ow ow ow ow ow," Bonella winces holding her foot in pain.
Shenshen stopped dancing and immediately comforts her. "I am so sorry! I'm not that good of a dancer," she confesses.
The waltz felt like it went on for hours though it was only five minutes and Boq wanted nothing more but to run away especially since Shenshen stepped on her foot two more times. While dancing Bonella saw Pfannee drag Milla to behind the curtain by the stage as Madame Morrible makes her way up to the microphone center stage.
"Would you excuse me for me for a minute Shenshen?"
"Don't run away this time," she cries trying to keep dancing with Bonella.
She was about to move past Shenshen but she stops her. "Wait! The song isn't over yet! Can't we dance a little while longer?"
"I will once I come back. I promise!"
Shenshen whines, "But we haven't done it yet."
"Done what?" Asked Bonella confused.
And before Boq knew it, her face collided into his and both lips touched.
His eyes widened at what was happening and quickly pulled away.
"What are you doing?!"
Shenshen replied, "That was our first real kiss Bonella! What's wrong with that?"
What in Oz is she thinking? Boq thought. He's with Galinda and they were supposed to have the first kiss!
Bonella make an excuse. "W-well I wasn't ready for it!"
"Well ready or not, here comes another one." She was about to kiss again and Bonella dodges it.
"Wait!"
Shenshen stops and frowns.
"Don't you think you are moving way too fast?" Asked Bonella.
Her date's head cocked to the side. "Excuse me?"
"Well… I feel that you are rushing things a little bit."
The shorter girl confesses, "I thought all girls do that. When they have dates, they immediately kiss. It's like love at first sight."
"I am not like any of the other girls." In fact truthfully, Bonella is not a girl at all.
The redhead continues, "I always like to test the waters first. Taking time to get to know that person. See what I have in common. Eventually reveal all my feelings toward that person and soon…"
Boq under the disguise looks at Galinda who is with Fiyero and Elphaba drinking punch.
"…Fall in love. Does that make sense to you?" Questioned Bonella.
Shenshen looked crestfallen but understands. "I'm sorry I went too fast. It's just… I feel very insecure watching all my friends have dates leaving me behind with no one. I guess I just wanted to be like my friends."
"Listen to me Shenshen," said her date. "Don't worry about other people. Focus on yourself first. Just be who you are and be proud of it. Who cares what other people think or say."
Now understanding, Shenshen nodded.
"I can guarantee you that someday you will find someone to love you," Bonella says.
"But you are the one for me! I-"
"I have to tell you the truth Shenshen… You see-"
The music stops and Madame Morrible makes an announcement as musicians take another break. "Good evening students and faculty and welcome to the Ozdust Spring Fling!"
Bonella had almost forgotten about Pfannee and her eyes looked around beyond the stage and spots the girls holding a rope behind one of the curtains and overheard the conversation while Madame Morrible continues the welcome speech.
"Pfannee, you have to stop! This is going too far! Fiyero and Elphaba are together, so what!?" Milla whispers. "You don't have to dump paint on her to make them split up so you can have him."
With a vengeful grin on her face she said sinisterly, "Oh I'm not dumping paint on Elphaba."
But underneath the disguise, Boq overheard what was happening. His eyes followed the rope onto a can of paint and realized who she was going to do it to and its Madame Morrible.
She continues while giggling, "I'm going to pour it onto Morrible and blame it on Elphaba and have her removed from Shiz forever! It's always my word against hers."
"This is crazy Pfannee!" Milla cries quietly.
"Not as crazy as having a green freak in this school," she hissed. "Now help me!"
Milla had a feeling they are headed to disaster. "You know what? I think Galinda-"
"Shut up Milla!"
With that she pulls the rope angrily as Boq watched in horror as the paint canister starts to turn upside down.
He has to stop this!
The white paint started to come down and without even a thought, Bonella made a dash for it leaving Shenshen behind. She ran up to the stage and pushed Madame Morrible harshly out of the way the split second before white paint splashes all over the redhead.
Everyone gasped seeing what was unfolding in front of them. Pfannee's jaw dropped in shock when she saw that her plan had failed and quickly backed out from behind the curtain unseen followed by a stunned Milla.
The paint stopped falling only to drip from the canister that's still swinging around.
Bonella wiped the paint off her face and tried to wipe off the wig but to her horror, The wig slid off when the paint hit her revealing to everyone in the ballroom that Bonella was Boq the whole time.
He looked around and saw everyone's faces including Galinda and Shenshen's. All jaws are dropped and eyes widened as the silence grows louder.
"Oh Oz…" Boq gulped wanting to run out of the ballroom as soon as possible.
OOOOH! CLIFFY!

I'm still working on Nessa's birthday wish and starting to work on Fiyero's individual story. I have two or three more stories lined up including one about camping and another about an alternate take at the end of Act 1 where Elphaba had visions of everyone's future and tries to stop it with the help of her friends.
