Hazel POV:

I'm certainly one for honesty and faithfulness. I guess nowadays those things are out of style. But you know what's in style now? Stalking other people and gossiping about their relationships and problems. And Tik Tok. Can't forget Tik Tok. I don't completely understand it all, being a daughter of Pluto that died back in the 1900s, then came back to life in this new world. All I know is what the gossip is this week.

You know, the one about Annabeth cheating on Percy.

I didn't believe it for one second. Annabeth Chase, and Percy Jackson- the 21-year-old couple everyone knows and loves- Percabeth. They are the most loving couple in Camp Half-Blood, maybe even the whole world. Those two have gone through everything together. It all ranges from going on quests together, and falling into Tartarus together. Those two are expected to be getting married soon, all we're waiting for is Percy to finally get up the courage to ask her. But now… no one's talking about that.

They're talking about Luke Castellan's return. Luke Castellan… I barely knew who he was until he came back to life. Percy told me: Son of Hermes, betrayed Camp Half-Blood during the Second Titan War, was used as Kronos's mortal form, and finally did the right thing in the end by stabbing himself. I'd say that was a pretty accurate description. Percy's face remained neutral when Luke came up. He didn't seem to care. At all.

Annabeth, however, is a whole different story. When she told me about Luke, her face had hints of nostalgia, sadness, and a bit of love if you ask me. Annabeth told me about how she ran away when she was 7 and she portrayed him as a complete and utter hero to every single demigod, mortal, and godly soul. In fact, she went over the top with details about him.

"Everyone said he was a traitor, but he was right. Demigods have been ignored, and he was right to turn his back on the gods. Besides, he did the right thing in the end like the hero he is. He truly deserved Elysium. He was kind, no matter what everyone says." She said one morning at breakfast. I caught a glimpse of Percy raising an eyebrow at her speech, but he said nothing.

"You have something to add, Percy?" Annabeth asked accusingly.

"No one is perfect, Annabeth. But you act as if he is. Yes, he might have turned his back on the gods, who deserve it, but he also turned his back on his home. But, nonetheless, he did do the right thing in the end."

"We should have joined him."

"Absolutely not."

"What are you talking about? Do you not agree demigods would be better rulers?"

"Just by saying that, you are proving we wouldn't be. Demigods are just as big-headed as the gods."

"Gods, why are you always arguing with me on every single thing I say?"

"Why do you always say that when I'm right?" Percy said with a smirk. The table of demigods surrounding them laughed. Percy winked at Annabeth, expecting her to laugh along with everyone else. However, she did no such thing.

"Look who's big-headed now."

Percy chuckled, "that's my point. All demigods are self centered and vain."

"Isn't that stereotypical?"

"Isn't that true, though?" Hazel noticed more and more often that Annabeth would constantly bring up Luke, and Percy would constantly shut her down in hilarious ways. But it only got worse when Luke came back from the dead. The gods, for whatever reason, ruled Luke's death unfair, as he had been persuaded by the Titan of Time to join his side. We all know that Luke had done that on his own accord, but no one dared argue when the gods announced it on the grounds of Camp Half-Blood. And so, Luke walked across camp borders with a smile on his face.

"What's up, CHB?" He announced it to everyone.

Annabeth squealed in happiness and fell into his arms, wrapping him in a hug. That's when I noticed something odd. Luke kissed Annabeth on the cheek lightly… while looking directly at Percy and smirking. Quite obviously, he was trying to anger Percy, but why? I thought Luke and Percy had been on at least somewhat okay terms when Castelllan died. Maybe not?

Annabeth giggled girlishly, then blushed fiercely and broke away from Luke. She walked over to Percy, taking his hand and squeezing it gently. Luke looked on at the two with anguish in his eyes. Annabeth glanced at him questioningly, but said nothing. Luke shook his head, then walked off toward the Hermes cabin. No one else greeted him as Annabeth did. So many demigods had died because of Luke. How could the camp ever forgive him?

"So now you like me?" Percy asked, smiling. Something about his smile seemed off, however. Like there was jealousy hidden deep within about the passionate embrace Annabeth had given Luke, and the thoughtful kiss Luke had given Annabeth. Surprisingly, even though Percy had only been joking, Annabeth passive-aggressively let go of his hand.

"You gonna say something like that every time I try to be nice?"

"You holding my hand is considered nice? We're in a relationship. You should be showing affection anyway. It's no favor. And besides that, I was only joking." Annabeth grit her teeth and walked off to her cabin. The arguing between the two kept getting progressively worse, and everyone assumed it was because Percy hated Luke and refused to forgive him, and Annabeth thought the exact opposite. And that's what I thought too.

Weeks passed, and Percy didn't seem to be himself anymore. The shift in personality happened one morning after breakfast. Annabeth hadn't shown up. Percy was worried, so he went looking for her. He came back with his face pale and stricken with sadness. "You okay, Percy."

"I'm fine." He said. I figured that was a lie, but I didn't push him. I didn't want to, either. It wasn't really any of my business, so I stayed as far out of it as I possibly could. Unlike the Aphrodite girls. Drew went around gossiping about the two, telling the camp about every single argument she'd heard between the two, and most of them were just made up by Drew. But some of them were true.

Annabeth ditched her date with Percy on "accident" and hung out with Luke that night, leaving Percy angry as ever.

"Well, sorry that I can't remember every single thing we plan! I'm not perfect."

"I'm the one that forgets plans. This is the first time you've ever not shown up to one of our dates, and 'coincidentally' you were hanging out with Luke."

"What is wrong with you? What does who I was with have anything to do with what we're discussing?"

"What were the two of you even doing?"

"Why does it matter?" Annabeth fumed.

"Tell me."

"We were just talking."

Percy sighed. "I used to be able to trust you, Annabeth. But now all I feel is you lying to me, spending all your time with Luke, and not really caring about me at all."

"I do care about you, Percy. I love you, and I'm not lying to you about anything."

"I wish I believed you."
"I wish you did too."

It only took one day for Percy to finally admit what he'd seen. I watched as Percy's face was struck with hurt, looking Annabeth in her gray stormy eyes, as she looked into his green ones. I couldn't tell what he was thinking. No one could.

"You sure you have nothing to tell me, Annabeth?"

"I'm sure."

"Really?"

"Really."

"How about the fact that I saw you cheating on me with Luke?"
