Brightness, a blinding light that clouded his vision like a veil of mist. In his moment of death, John Kramer thought back to the first time he saw a beautiful, golden-haired woman walking in the park. Turning her head to look over her right shoulder, she glanced back to look at the man who would one day be her husband.
She leaned against a tree as he captured her beauty with the help of a video camera, remembering her warm eyes and gentle smile. Friendly and caring, John Kramer couldn't have asked for a better woman to fall in love with than Jill Tuck, who later became his wife. The couple were very devoted to each other, and very soon, a third addition would be arriving to become part of the family. John had already picked out the name of their child, who was to be a boy. Jill would have liked to have a girl, but she loved Gideon just as much as she loved any child and fell in love with him even before he was born.
When she wasn't working at the health clinic trying to help people recover from addiction, Jill often visited John in his workshop. The first time her eyes saw the cradle he made for the soon-to-be-born Gideon, Jill felt proud of the present her husband made for the baby, even better than the tuxedo-wearing puppet. If only she knew what truly awaited in the future.
