Title: Invisible Touch
Author: Altairadactyl
Rating: PG-13/FR15
Disclaimer: This is my first ever anime/anime crossover, so I actually had to look some things up for the disclaimer. The ownership of My Hero Academia is relatively simple: the entire thing belongs to Kōhei Horikoshi. JoJo's Bizarre Adventures seems to belong entirely to Hirohiko Araki, despite the sprawling nature of the franchise at this point. Not mine, don't sue, and so forth and so on.
Summary: "And once my spirit was finally strong enough, she manifested! Invisible Touch! The key to my future as a hero! My quirk! My Stand!"
Tara's Note: I want to start this off by saying that I'm doing this story despite the fact that my exposure level to JoJo's Bizarre Adventures is... that I've never seen a single episode of the anime or read a single page of the manga. Sebas Tian of Epsi's Hoard thought it would be fun to do a story where Tooru pretends to be a stand and punches a few villains. I was trapped in the urgent care with my iPad, WiFi, and nothing better to do, so I decided to try my hand at this. 'Invisible Touch' follows in the naming convention of other Stands insofar as it's a reference to a Genesis song from 1986. Specifically, the eponymous single from their multiple platinum album Invisible Touch. Seemed fitting, given what the other early Stands are named.

"The first teams to fight will be..." All Might reached into the two boxes in front of him, pulling a black ball out of the box marked 'Villain' and a white ball out of the box marked 'Hero'. Midoriya Izuku furrowed his brow as he considered the two boxes. Did that mean that half the teams had no chance at all of playing the villains? Or if each box held all the balls, what was to stop the same team from getting drawn from both boxes at the same time? Or the same team being drawn for two matches in a row, once as the heroes and once as the villains? Or... "These guys!"

In his left hand was a black ball marked with a 'D'.

In his right hand was a white ball marked with an 'A'.

He was going first. Against Kacchan's team.

"Team A will be the heroes, and Team D will be the villains. Everyone else, head toward the monitor room." As his classmates streamed past him, Izuku chanced a look over at his former best friend, his hands curling resolutely into fists. This was going to be the ultimate test of his plan. If he could successfully... not even beat Kacchan, but just hold his own? Manage to survive for a few minutes against a supremely gifted student with an amazing quirk? Then he knew he'd be able to go up against at least C-rank villains, possibly even B-rankers. He knew in his heart that he'd never be the most powerful hero in existence, never even a top ten hero... but this would be a good way of gauging how far his idea would take him. "Villain team, go in first and set up. In five minutes, the hero team will break in, and the battle will start!"

Nodding in acknowledgement, Izuku followed Iida Tenya and Bakugo Katsuki through the sprawling urban landscape of the battle center until they arrived at the building that would be the setting for their battle. He was dimly aware of Uraraka Ochako walking along beside him, but his focus was mainly on his opponents, with a small part of his mind paying attention to the hand that had slipped into his as they started walking. A finger tapped against the back of his hand, carefully spelling out a message in Morse code. 'We can do this.'

Izuku smiled, tapping back against the invisible hand. 'I hope so.'

When they reached the building, All Might opened the door for Team D but then held up his hand to forestall their entry. "Young Iida, Young Bakugo, for this exercise, you're going to need to learn to think from the perspective of the villains. This is pretty close to a real battle. Go all out. Don't be afraid to get hurt. If things go too far, I will stop it."

As the door closed behind Kacchan and Iida, All Might offered Izuku and Uraraka a thumbs up before departing. Letting out a loud sigh, Uraraka turned to the resources that they had been given for the exercise. "It's a lot of effort to memorize the building's floor plan. We definitely have our work cut out for us. But All Might is just the same as when he's on television. So big, so friendly! And unlike Aizawa, it looks like there's no punishment so let's just do our best!"

"I'm definitely going to do my best. And I'm going to need to. Because... we're up against Kacchan." Izuku gave the hand in his a nervous squeeze, feeling the reassuring return squeeze a few seconds later. "And there's Iida too, let's not underestimate him either. So I feel like I need to be on guard. I've... never really gotten to test my quirk before. At least not against other people. I have no idea how this is going to go."

Uraraka gave him a sympathetic smile. "I see. And Bakugo's the one who makes fun of you, right?"

Sighing, Izuku nodded in response. "He's amazing. He's a piece of work, but his ambition, his confidence, his physical strength, and his quirk are way more amazing than mine." A hand impacted with the back of his head and he stumbled forward, sputtering nervously. "Okay, maybe not more amazing than mine! Definitely not more amazing than mine!"

Her eyes darting back and forth between Izuku and the spot that he had occupied a few seconds earlier, Uraraka regarded him curiously. "Just what is your quirk, Deku? It's very confusing."

"You've already seen it a little, at the entrance exam and the quirk assessment test. It's called Stand. Like from JoJo's Bizarre Adventures. It's a manifestation of my soul." Izuku could feel his companion pressed against his back, quaking with silent laughter as he explained their existence. "It's sentient like Tokoyami's Dark Shadow, so you may hear her talk to you sometimes. If... if you have the necessary fighting spirit, maybe you'll even get to see her someday."

Uraraka cocked her head to the side. "Her?"

Nodding, Izuku reached up to rest his hand on where his companion's hand was laying on his shoulder. "My quirk is a girl."

Before he could explain things any further, Izuku gave a start as All Might's voice came over the speakers mounted all throughout the battle center. "Now, let's start the indoor person-to-person combat training with Team A and Team D!"

Nodding to Uraraka with confidence that he didn't feel, Izuku led her toward the front of the building and opened the door. Peeking around the corner, he looked both ways to make sure that Kacchan wasn't just lying in wait right there before entering the building. Uraraka followed close behind. "We've infiltrated successfully!"

"There are a lot of blind spots, so let's be careful." Izuku cautiously led the way down the hallways, Uraraka following close behind him. They made it down a myriad of hallways and up two flights of stairs before Izuku felt the pressure of his companion sidling up on his left, tapping out a message on his shoulder. She'd spotted Bakugo for him. They had warning. They wouldn't be caught off-guard by him.

Sure enough, when they reached the next corner, Bakugo came lunging out at them, one hand lighting up in an explosion. Wrapping an arm around Uraraka's waist, Izuku dove back, covering the smaller brunette with his body. His companion would probably have something to say about that later, but he wasn't going to let someone get hurt just for the sake of her jealousy. "Come on, Deku. Don't dodge. Fight me like a man." Bakugo swiped his hand horizontally, clearing some of the smoke of his explosion away. "I've been waiting so long for this."

Izuku rose to his feet, being sure to keep himself between Bakugo and Uraraka. "I figured you'd come for me first. That's okay. I've been waiting a long time for this too. Ever since my quirk manifested, I've wanted to see how we compare." Settling into a ready stance, Izuku beckoned for Bakugo to approach him. "Every single time you used your quirk on me in junior high, I thought about fighting back. But it wasn't time yet. It is now, though. We're finally going to get that fight you've been wanting for years. And I'm ready if you are."

Chuckling, Bakugo raced forward, rapidly closing the distance between them. "I won't do so much damage that this fight gets stopped, but I'm gonna get close!"

"Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming right to me?" Bakugo skidded to a stop, staring at him incredulously, and Izuku sighed before throwing his hands up in the air. "It's a quote! Because my quirk is a Stand. Have you never watched Stardust Crusaders before?" Feeling both Bakugo and Uraraka's eyes on him, he blushed darkly before throwing his hand out. "Oh, whatever. Invisible Touch!"

Shaking his head, Bakugo resumed his approach with an angry snarl. He abruptly found his advance impeded as he ran into something invisible but decidedly solid. Something that grabbed him by his outstretched arm and flipped him over to land on the floor with a loud grunt. Rolling onto his stomach, he stared up at Izuku in disbelief. "Deku, you quirkless freak! What was that?"

Izuku thrust his fist up into the air victoriously. First contact, and the first blow went to his companion. Forcing a wide grin, he did his best to channel the confidence bordering on arrogance of a Joestar. "My quirk! My Stand! If it wasn't for the sludge villain, I never would have discovered her! After you got attacked, I realized that I had to take myself more seriously if I wanted to become a hero. So I started working out. Meditating. Getting myself in shape physically and mentally. And once my spirit was finally strong enough, she manifested! Invisible Touch! The key to my future as a hero!"

"...you're insane." Pushing himself up off the floor, Bakugo clambered back to his feet with an uncertain look on his face for the first time that Izuku could ever remember. "I was too busy going all out to pay attention to what you were doing during the assessment test. So what, after all this time, you discovered that you have some sort of weak telekinesis? Your mom's quirk? I guess I'll just have to attack faster, then, so you don't have a chance to use it on me!"

As he dove forward again, the air between them sparkled with brilliant golden light, forming into the outline of a girl. A very tall girl, outstripping even Bakugo's above average height at over one point eight meters. She lunged forward to meet Bakugo, swinging her fist in a massive right hook that matched the one he'd tried to open the fight with. "ORA!" The fist slipped through Bakugo's guard, slamming into his face and stopping him dead in his tracks. "ORAORAORAORAORA!" The air rippled and warped around Invisible Touch as she threw punch after punch, pummeling Bakugo as he tried vainly to defend himself.

Wild red eyes darting back and forth, Bakugo's hands crackled with tiny explosions as he tried to fend off Invisible Touch's attacks. Tried being the operative word; she was connecting with more punches than he managed to deflect. "I... I can see her. You actually have a Stand? Wait, does this mean I could have a Stand? Normal people can't see Stands."

"Maybe you could, if your will was strong enough. For now, though, you'll need to figure out how to fight one yourself. Invisible Touch! Bob and weave!" Izuku watched as his companion flickered out of existence, returning to full invisibility as she dodged one of Bakugo's counterattacks before lashing out with a glimmering kick to his stomach. She disappeared again as he let out a roar and set off a series of large explosions to his left, only to reappear behind him and slam a fist into the back of his head.

Watching the almost one-sided fight, Izuku suddenly realized... Bakugo had no actual training in how to fight. He had honed his quirk as much as possible, casually flaunting the laws restricting quirk use both at school and at home. He had honed his body to maximize the use of his quirk. But he had no actual martial skill behind his attacks, just a rudimentary fighting style that he'd created for himself that was entirely reliant on the use of his quirk. Against someone who had gone through an intensive training regimen that involved thrice weekly lessons in kickboxing - with self-guided practice filling the last two days - for the last ten months? He was veritably helpless.

That point was driven home as light gathered around Invisible Touch's leg and she drove it into Bakugo's groin with such ferocity that even his cup couldn't protect him from the sheer kinetic force. The hit lifted him off his feet by a few inches and then he collapsed to the floor, curling into a fetal ball as he clutched at his groin. "What... the fuck?"

"And that's for picking on Izukun for so many years!" The glimmering form of Invisible Touch darted over to Izuku, taking his capture tape from the pouch on his belt where he'd stored it before returning to Bakugo's prone form. Rather than simply wrapping it around him, Invisible Touch chose to add insult to injury, manhandling him into position before hogtying Bakugo on the floor. Standing with her foot on his back, she raised her hand in the air victoriously. "We did it!"

"Oh my gosh, we did! Well, you did! You did it, err, Invisible Touch!" Rushing forward, Izuku grabbed the glimmering form of his companion and spun her around in a circle. Then he let out a surprised squawk as she grabbed him and dipped him back, leaning in to press a kiss against his lips. As soon as the kiss broke, Izuku glanced over at where Uraraka was standing, the brunette staring at him with wide eyes. "...awkward."

Shaking her head, Uraraka waved her hands dismissively. "Oh no, I mean, if you want to date your quirk and all, that's... kinda weird but none of my business."

Izuku buried his face in his hands as his companion pulled him back into an upright position. Not only had Uraraka and Bakugo seen it, but so had his entire class watching from the observation room. That... was a reputation that he wasn't going to be living down any time soon.
