Summary: I've joined my late husband's family business as per his wish, but well, his nephew isn't going to make my life easy. I've hated him since we were kids, but I have got no option but to tolerate him.

"I know how much this meant to Carlisle," I said, "This charity was very close to his heart."
"I know that," Edward snapped at me, "I knew my uncle better than you have known him, so just stop with your bullshit."
"Excuse me?" I said, "How dare you talk to me in this manner?"
"This is how I talk with everybody," he said.
"No, you don't," I said.
I had known him since I was a kid. He was my step brothers' best friend after all! He was nice to everyone except me!
And I doubted if he even had any specific reasons to hate me. He hated me only because... well, my step brothers hated me!
"Let me be very clear," he said, "You have joined the board as my uncle's widow, well, fine! But please keep it in mind that I'm not interested in hearing any kind of advises and suggestions from you. I take all the decisions here. I am the decision maker here, understood? I'm the boss here!"
"You're not my boss," I said.
"Oh yes, I am," he said with arrogance.
"What is your problem?" I said.
"You know what my problem is," he said, "I deeply cared about my uncle. He married a gold digger, and well, now we have to deal with it. But I'm going to make sure she doesn't make a chaos in our family business."
"I was never after his money," I snapped, "I loved him."
"Sure," he smiled sarcastically.
"What is your problem?" I repeated with frustration, "I mean, I know you have always had problems with me, but... This is not easy for me, alright? I was never interested in his money. I was never interested in this business. I've just lost my husband... I..." I couldn't complete my sentence as I felt my eyes getting filled with tears.
"Awww... Poor you!" he said, "Is that what I am supposed to say here?"
I glared at him, but he didn't even flinch as he continued to look at me with disgust.
"Well, you're right about one thing. We're business partners now, and you need to deal with me," I snapped as I folded my across my chest, "You have got no other option."
