On a late night, on June 21, 2021, a two-story gray house (with a porch) mysteriously appeared, behind a door gate across the street from the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water theme park in Phoenix, Arizona. It was dark, with thunder and rain striking at that spot. The house was looking very creepy inside. Suddenly, the sky cleared up, and it was now daytime, the morning of June 22. A lot of people was standing outside the house, in awe that it just suddenly appeared there. About a hour away, at the Davidson family mansion, the humans and their genie friends and family, were sitting in the living room, preparing for a road trip...
'I'm glad you and Bradford could join us on this trip, Gigi,' said Shimmer. 'Well, after you girls and Bradford first meet on Zoom, I thought this trip would be a great time to him to see you all in person,' replied Gigi. Shine says, 'Yes, this is going to be a fun trip!' 'I'm so happy my parents let me go to Six Flags with you guys,' said Leah. 'Well, I don't think it would be as much fun without you here, Leah,' stated Zeta. 'It's too bad Zac had to visit his grandparents in the country, and couldn't come,' says Leah, disappointed.
Mary pointed at the TV, and said to everyone, 'Hey, look at what's happening!' The team saw a news report, on a mysterious haunted house then popped up across from Six Flags Hurricane Harbor the previous night. This made some of them a bit worried...
Marlin said, 'Well... we could go somewhere else if you guys want to.' 'Yeah, it looks like that water park might not be safe to go to,' William added.
However, most of them had different opinions...
'A haunted house isn't going to scare me away from the water park!', said Leah. 'Yes, we just don't have to go inside that house', answered Mary. 'We could just ask if the park employees won't let us stay in the parking lot', suggested Calady. 'I think that may be the best idea,' said Zeta. 'All right, then, I think that's settled,' says Shine. Though still hesitant about it, Marlin and William agreed to it.
While the genies and humans were planning out their road trip, meanwhile, in Tokyo, Japan, a teenage girl with short orange-red hair, brownish-red eyes, and wearing her Jubilife City outfit, Zoey Nozomi, was signing autographs at the Junkudo Ikebukuro bookstore. A Japanese woman, who was getting an autograph herself, asked, 'Miss Zoey Nokomi, what is your book, 'The Pokémon Experience' about?' Zoey answered, 'Well, ma'am, during me and my Pokémon Glameow's travels, I've learned about many kinds of other Pokémon, along with those champion ribbons I've won, and I thought I'd write about those experiences as a book'.
A news reporter from Phoenix, Arizona appeared on TV, saying, 'We're live from Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, in Phoenix, Arizona where a park worker had reported that something bizarre happened last night. A mysterious house suddenly appeared across the street...'
Zoey and her Pokémon, Glameow, watched the report and paid close attention to it. She remembers that last year, a similar house mysteriously appear in Mexico City, Mexico, for a week, and her close friend, Dawn Hikaro's grandmother, Mrs. Emiko Abiko, investigated that house where she was there. When the house disappeared, she went along with it. Zoey was now worried, 'Wow, this is serious, Glameow.' Glameow nodded, and nestled on Zoey's leg...
After the book signing, Zoey went back to her hotel room, changed back to her casual attire, (black sunglasses above her hair. a small necklace around her neck, a pink Poké-tech on her left wrist, a dark magenta shirt under a light orange vest, and pale blue jeans, red socks and brown boots with gray, and brown laces) and sat down on the bed. While petting Glameow, she wondered, 'I wonder what happened to when she went inside that house?' Pondering to herself, she went to the mini fridge, got out a Hungry Man TV dinner, and put it in the microwave. After that, her phone rang, which startled Zoey and Glameow. She then put on the Bee Gees song, 'Jive Talkin' and turned it up loud on the radio, then answered her smartphone, which revealed to be her childhood friend, Candace Suzuna.
Candace, whose voice was on the phone, said, 'Hello.' Zoey said, 'Oh, hi, Miss Senior, I wasn't expecting you to call!' Candace asked, 'Is that loud music?' Zoey answered loudly, 'Oh, yes, the hotel maid is cleaning my room, and she didn't know about the music!' (off the phone) Could you please turn that down?! (turns down the song on the radio, then returns to her smartphone) Anyway, what's up?' Candace says, 'Well, I called to tell you that I found out more information about that house on the news.' Zoey, now worried, says 'What happened?' Candace said, 'It's quite similar to the one that appeared in Mexico City last year. The fact that Emiko mysteriously disappeared with that house had worried me.'
Zoey listened to what Candace had said very clearly and thought about what she could do to help out in finding Mrs. Abiko. After a few minutes of thinking, Zoey had a plan. Candace, who was still on the phone, says 'Zo-Zo, you still there?' Zoey realizes what happened, and said, Oh, sorry, Miss Senior. I have a plan on how I could help get Dawn's grandmother back safe and sound. But you might not want to tell Dawn or Johanna (Dawn's mom) about this yet. I don't want them to worry about me.' 'I'm all ears,' Candace said. Zoey explained her plan to Candace, who was shocked at what she was going to do: That Zoey would go to that house herself in Phoenix, and investigate there. After ending the call, Zoey turned to Glameow, and said, 'We'll have to go to that house, and find out where Dawn went.' Her Pokémon looked at her in surprise...
