Update on 14/08/2023: Okay, first off. I am so sorry for the delay in getting this story running on the right track and leaving you all with just one chapter for nearly two months. But I have lately been thinking of something thanks to a reviewer named Nothingspecial43.

I should've realized that by introducing a new OC, especially in the superhero genre of things, and making him a superhero... I need an origin story rather than skipping over several things just to get to the action and hero stuff. Origin stories help flesh out characters and show their development. So, I have rewritten the first chapter to begin the origin of Ryan Parker, what his life was like with his brother, aunt and uncle, how he got bit by the spider and gained the superpowers, and how the death of his uncle affected him and would've been a cause for him becoming an Anti-Hero later on.

I'll try and not make the origin a long arc, hopefully six, seven chapters at the latest if I can work as much as I can into them. And then the seven-year timeskip would be right after since it's the year before Marvel's Spider-Man where the Wolf-Spider will make his mark and meet the beautiful Black Cat.

Disclaimer: I do not own Spider-Man. I only own the OC Ryan Parker/Wolf-Spider.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

"Damn clock... need to invest in a more quieter alarm." A young man of sixteen groaned as he pushed his bed covers off him with a huff and just stared up at the ceiling of his bedroom for five minutes straight. Then he heard a knock on his door.

"Ryan! it's time to get up or you'll be late for school!" The voice of his aunt called on the other side. "Breakfast is already made for you and Peter!"

"Thanks Aunt May!" Ryan Parker called before he got out of bed, sighing as he rubbed his eyes to get rid of any remnants of sleep dust in his eyes. Once that was done, he stood and looked at his appearance in the mirror.

Ryan Parker was a average-looking guy of sixteen, with short dark brown hair and hazel eyes, much like his younger brother, Peter. He was only dressed in a pair of pyjama bottoms, no shirt which left his upper body exposed. There was nothing to really gawk at or be amazed by. Ryan was just an average guy, no muscles or abs, signs of working out in the guy, but he kept his body in good enough shape to be healthy.

Ryan was born n 1994 to government agents Richard and Mary Parker, in Forest Hills, New York. A year later, his mother gave birth to his little brother, Peter. Following the death of their parents, they were raised by their Aunt May and Uncle Ben in Queens, New York. The two currently attend Midtown High School alongside their best friends Mary Jane Watson and Harry Osborn, who they befriended in middle school. Ryan even helped Peter pluck up the courage to ask MJ out, seeing as Peter always liked her when he first saw her.

Ryan grabbed some clothes and got them ready, seeing as he planned on getting a wash before getting dressed. He paused as he managed to hear movement coming from the room next to his, which was his brother's.

"Oh hell no!" Ryan shouted, quickly yanking his bedroom door open and running out just as his brother's bedroom door opened and Peter stepped out. The two locked eyes, then looked down the hallway to where the bathroom door was.

"Nope!" Peter said and quickly bolted for the bathroom, Ryan in pursuit.

"Boys! Behave!" They heard their Uncle Ben shout from downstairs, though there was the tone of amusement since this was nearly an everyday occurrence when the Parker brothers woke up and got themselves ready for school. They always raced to get to the bathroom first.

Reaching the bathroom door, Ryan and Peter's hands grabbed the doorknob.

"I got it!" They both said at the same time then looked at each other. "No me! I grabbed it first! Rematch!"

"Rock, Paper Scissors?" Ryan suggested, causing peter to pause and think for a moment before he nodded.

"Yeah sure." He said and took his hand off the doorknob.

"Thanks!" Ryan yanked the bathroom door open and ran in, shutting it behind him and locking it.

"That's cheating!" Peter yelled on the other side. "You can't keep doing that!"

"It's called winning the game, my little brother." Ryan said with a maniacal laugh like a cliché evil villain from one of those Power Rangers or TMNT cartoons that he and Peter used to watch as kids.

"By a year." Peter grumbled and Ryan heard him walk off. "I'll get you back, one day!"

"I look forward to it." Ryan chuckled and turned on the shower.

About ten minutes later, a freshly washed, cleaned and dressed Ryan walked down the stairs and came to the living room where he found his Aunt May setting a jug of orange juice down while his Uncle Ben was currently reading the newspaper like he always did every morning.

"So, anything interesting happening?" Ryan asked curiously as he sat down and took some toast for himself.

Ben shook his head before sipping some of his coffee. "Aside from Tony Stark announcing the Stark Expo opening this weekend? Nothing that interesting. But the Buffalo Bills won the game the other night."

"Boom! Knew it!" Ryan fist pumped the air. "Nothing stops that team!"

"Oh don't go thinking along those lines just yet, Ryan." Ben shook his head. "No one and nothing is unbeatable."

Ryan raised a brow and asked jokingly. "This a lead up to one of your 'Great power, Great responsibility' speeches?"

"Hey, I like those speeches." Peter said as he came down the stairs and joined his brother and uncle at the table. "Besides, it's the family motto. 'With Great Power-'"

"'Comes great responsibility'. I know." Ryan said, almost rolling his eyes but even he never disagreed with such words. "Should trying telling the Government that, or the people in WWII when they decided to make Captain America a thing."

"Well, it was war and things were pretty desperate back then." Ben said in defence of the Americans behind the creation of the Super-Soldier. He then checked his watch. "Now, you two better get going or you'll miss the school bus... again."

"Last time it was his fault!" Peter quickly pointed at Ryan as he shoved a piece of toast into his mouth before going to grab his backpack while Ryan gaped at his brother before following him.

"Excuse me! It was NOT my fault!" He shouted as he ran after him up the stairs. "Get back here!"

Ben chuckled and shook his head. "Those two..."

"So, our permission slips have been signed. We'll be going to the Oscorp building itself for the trip." Ryan said as he got off the bus with Peter following. "Although, I still say Harry could've gotten us in for free."

Peter rolled his eyes. "You know he wouldn't. Besides, we'd be recognized and in trouble."

Ryan snorted. "All you'd have to do is suck faces with MJ to be passed off as another hormonal teenager."

"Hey!" Peter shouted, blushing at his brother's words. "Do you always have to say such things? You're the one that got us together!"

"After a lot of hard work." Ryan grumbled under his breath. His brother should be thankful he was patient to deal with his nervous demeaner and shy persona at times. "Pete, you have a hot girlfriend, do what every couple does... suck faces."

"Okay, I love you like a brother, Ryan, but don't go dictating how my boyfriend and I should act with each other."

The Parker brothers turned to see Peter's girlfriend, Mary Jane, approaching them. Having most likely been dropped off by her dad.

Ryan rolled his eyes. "Hey, if it wasn't for me-"

"We wouldn't be together, yes, so you keep reminding us." MJ rolled her eyes before smiling as she kissed her boyfriend on the cheek. "Hey Tiger."

"Hey MJ." Peter smiled goofily.

Ryan snorted but covered it up with a quick cough when MJ snapped a gaze at him.

"So, you boys got your permission slips for both trips?" MJ asked as they stood there, waiting for the fourth member of their little group to finally arrive. School wasn't due to start for another 30 minutes, so they had time.

"The one for Oscorp? Check." Ryan held his slip up.

"And the one for the trip to the genetics laboratory at the Columbia University? Double check." Peter nodded, not following his brother's antics.

"How on Earth does a school arrange two trips a week after the other?" Ryan asked with a frown. Seriously, they had the trip to the Oscorp building today, and then the trip to the genetics laboratory next week. He wasn't complaining since it was a school trip, who wouldn't be excited for those? But science was not really his thing, unlike his brother who was heavily interested in it and even idolized a scientist named Otto Octavius.

"Schools can do that." MJ said in a slow tone as if talking to a child, causing Ryan to give her an annoyed look. "Besides, it was Oscorp that invited us and are responsible for the trip."

"Probably so Norman can show off his company." Ryan said with an eyeroll.

"Dude." Peter shook his head at him, exasperated. "Norman's not evil."

"He freaks me out at times! I can see why Harry's almost happy to be away from him." Ryan huffed, crossing his arms. While he was friends with Harry, he had never liked Harry's father, Norman Osborn, the CEO of Oscorp Industries. Something about the man just... stirred him the wring way and he didn't like it.

MJ rolled her eyes. "I'm going inside. You two can wait for Harry out here. Later!"

The two brothers watched her hips sway from side to side as she walked away. "You know, Pete, if I didn't think of her as a sister, I'd totally be pining after that ass."

"That's my girlfriend." Peter reminded him with a look.

"And you definitely hit the jackpot with her." Ryan said with a small smirk before sighing. "Gotta admit, I am kinda jealous you got an amazing girlfriend."

"Hey." Peter patted his brother on the shoulder. "If you're able to get me and MJ together after the hard work you and Harry put into it, I know there's someone out there for you."

"Okay, okay, don't get all Shakespeare on me." Ryan pointed at him, then the two heard a car engine and saw a black car pull up. "And Harry's finally here."

Coming out of the car was a boy around their age, slinging a backpack over his right shoulder and his eyes on the ground but his expression brightened when he saw two of his three best friends. What helped in their close friendship was that neither Peter, Ryan or MJ cared that he was the son of Norman Osborn, that he was rich, they liked him for him.

"Hey guys." Harry said, fist bumping Ryan when offered.

"The Grim Reaper with his usual robot-like goodbye?" Ryan asked knowingly as he watched the black car drive off, knowing Harry's father had probably been inside.

"You know how it is." Harry rolled his eyes and the three headed on inside the school building...

Alright, that's it for the first chapter of the rewrite. I hope it's not too bad and that you all find it a decent start for an origin arc. And yeah, I know two school trips seems pretty convenient, with one happening a week after the other, but I tried to explain that in being the Oscorp trip was offered by Oscorp themselves, and the other trip is a natural trip.

And yes, I got the idea of the genetics laboratory from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, so you can see where it's going there. As for the Oscorp trip... that's going to be important as well.
