The beginnig

Percy Jackson was tired. He had just finished the war with Gaia and giants and was getting his wounds healed. All he wanted was a break so that he could explore the world and sit back and enjoy his life for once like the teenager he was. But it looked like his break will have to wait a little longer.

Leo had blown himself up in the process of killing Gaia and even though they were not very close, they were friends, and he was sad about the casualties of yet another war. As selfish as it might sound, he was kind of happy that his best friend had survived. After Tartarus, they were very protective of each other, especially Annabeth because she seemed to feel guilty for him falling in.

He saw the gods discussing something among themselves. His dad was talking about something with Zeus and Athena, Apollo was trying to blend in with the crowd and not draw attention toward him while Demeter, Hera, Aphrodite, and Hades were having a hushed conversation. Artemis was looking very sad and was talking to Thalia who looked like she had been crying. He had heard of the Orion incident from Reyna.

He felt someone sit on his right, he didn't have to turn around to know who it was as he could smell the familiar Seabreeze from his father.

"I am so proud of you Percy, more than you know." said Poseidon his eyes filled with pride. Which made Percy forget all his pain and filled his soul with warmth for a second.

"Thanks dad," he said awkwardly. He couldn't believe how happy he got just by a simple compliment his dad gave him even after all these years and having talked to him so many times. He knew he was lucky to have Poseidon as his father because his dad seemed to care about him, and he showed Percy that he indeed did.

"I hope you are using the trident you got after the Titan war well. It's a weapon worthy of the prince of the seas." Said Poseidon with slight apprehension in his voice as if he thought Percy did not like the trident. Percy twisted the ring on his finger to extend it into a beautiful killing machine made of Celestial Bronze and Imperial gold.

"I loved it, though I am not quite as good as I am with a sword, I am decent with it. I know people expect a member of Poseidon to be very good at it and I will get there eventually." Percy said determinedly. He hadn't used the trident much in battle but that was the only weapon he had in Tartarus as he had given Anaklusmos to Annabeth till she got her drakon bone sword.

"That's good. You will get a surprise on Olympus, and I hope you will make the right choice this time Percy. I will always love you regardless of what you choose today, but you will know what I would prefer when the time is right. Maybe I will get to teach you how to wield a trident myself then." Whispered Poseidon. With those rather confusing words, he got up and walked back to Zeus who seemed to be waiting for his dad.

Now that he was alone again his thoughts drifted to his mom and he realized he hadn't seen her in months, and he missed her more than anything. He hoped she wasn't too worried about him and promised himself to iris message her as soon as he got to his cabin and go home the next day. He hoped she would be proud of him, as her opinion mattered the most to him. She had sacrificed so much for him and was the best parent any demigod could ask for.

The sun was beginning to set so he was about to get up and walk back to his friends when he heard footsteps coming towards him, he turned back to see it was Annabeth. She seemed to have taken Ambrosia and Nectar because she was no longer limping from the time she was cut by the giantess. She was still skinnier than normal because of Tartarus, they both were. She silently walked over and sat next to him.

"How are you holding up Percy?" asked Annabeth softly.

"I am good. Just talked to my dad and I was about to get up and get to you guys." Percy answered. "What about you?" he asked.

"Still slightly sore but nothing some rest can't fix" she said.

He just nodded his head and went back to staring ahead.

"What are you planning on doing now seaweed brain?" Annabeth asked Percy. She was hoping he would join her for the university, but she didn't want to push him to do something he didn't like. They deserved a break and do what truly made them happy. She would accept whatever choice he made and support him as a best friend should. He was always there for her, and he was the most important person in her life.

"I am not sure, I want to travel around and chill, but it's difficult with monsters chasing you every day right..." he said somewhat bitterly. He was not angry or upset with his life, He had parents who loved him, friends who would die for him, and people who looked up to him.

But sometimes he felt that life was so unfair because despite all his sufferings and sacrifices he couldn't enjoy tiny things in life.

"It's ok Percy, we are going to Olympus, and I have a guess as to what's going to happen. I believe we will all be happier with what we get by the end of it." She said soothingly. She had this 'I know something you don't' look which annoyed him a lot.

"Well, if you say so, are we leaving?" Percy asked. He wanted to be done with whatever was happening and get some sleep. At Annabeth's nod, we both stood up and went to the gods who were waiting for us.

"Now that everyone is here, we will teleport you to Olympus and we will discuss more once we get there. Close your eyes until told not to." Instructed Athena in her usual 'I am better than thee' voice. Demigods all closed their eyes waiting to be teleported. All of them were then teleported and they were told it was safe to open their eyes. They were in the throne room of the gods and people who were there for the first time were awestruck.

"Let the rewarding ceremony begin" boomed Zeus.

Roman and Greek demigods separated and took each side of the throne room.

"My son, for your effort in the war I offer you a wish and a new gladius I had forged for you. This gladius will improve the finesse of your lightning and wind powers. Use your wish wisely." Said Zeus to Jason who was kneeling in front of his father.

"Umm... Thank you, milord. For my wish, I would like to fulfill the promise I made Kymopoleia and honor all the minor gods with a shrine in Camp Jupiter." Said Jason nervously not sure how Zeus would react.

"So be it. There are so many minor gods so I will have Hermes give you a list of all the minor gods. Make sure they all have shrines of same size." Said Zeus somewhat helpfully and with pride as if he was doing it himself.

"Piper, my daughter I give you an insight into your love life to help solve your dilemma and to make taking a decision easier for you. I also give you this feather which is indestructible, and it will always match the dress you are wearing." Announced Aphrodite.

"Thank you, mom. I wish there was another way, but sadly anything else will only make it worse." Said Piper. Percy had no idea what they were talking about and by the looks of it, no one else seemed to either. Only Annabeth looked like she has an idea about what was going on. He wasn't surprised by that, Annabeth and Piper were pretty close, so Piper might have told her what was going on.

"Frank, I give you the ability to use the blessing of Ares thrice for a period of fifteen minutes. You can choose when to use it or it will be used automatically when you are in a life and death situation. I also free you from the cursed firewood." Ares said or was it Mars? He sounded like a lesser git so must be Mars Percy decided.

"Hazel, I free you from the curse of evil jewels and give you this Spatha I and Hecate enchanted to suit you perfectly." Said the Goth god before sinking into his seat again.

"Thank you, Lord Pluto, I will make you proud." said Hazel earning herself a smile from Pluto. Percy was sure moping and sulking was a creepy power Hades passed down only to his male offspring because both Hazel and Bianca were very optimistic and cheerful girls then there was Nico, Percy never knew how to feel about the boy, even though he felt bad for the boy he was too secretive and introverted for Percy's liking.

"Nico, for your efforts I make the title of 'The ghost king' official. I will also have the best psychologist in the underworld make sure you recover from the trauma the pit inflicted on you." Said Hades. Annabeth was still mentally scarred from her trip to Tartarus, and she had Percy with her. She couldn't imagine how awful it must be for Nico to have gone through that alone.

"Annabeth, we know how beautiful Olympus was after you rebuilt it, so we give you the opportunity to rebuild all the damage done to Camp Half-blood and Camp Jupiter during the battles. We also offer you godhood for your effort in both wars. You can be by my side for eternity, and we can work on projects together." Said Athena. Annabeth was overjoyed by the opportunity, she could work with the best architect in the world for eternity, but then she looked at Percy who was smiling widely at her. She knew he was gonna be offered the same and she knew his choice, but then she looked at piper who looked like someone had killed her puppy and that was enough to help her make up her mind.

"I am honored my lady, but I can't accept immortality. I would be happy to help rebuild the camps though." She said smiling sadly at her Moher who was looking in between her and Piper. Then Annabeth looked at Piper who was crying the reason for which Percy didn't understand and her sad smile turned genuine.

"Percy, my son." Boomed Poseidon. The Entire throne room stopped what it was doing and was watching the proceedings with rapt attention. Percy walked and kneeled in front of his father.

"Percy, we offer you godhood again. Before you make a decision think about what I said carefully and know that this was the opportunity to get the break you were looking for. If you were to accept godhood, you will be a very powerful god. You might even be an Olympian. You would be an excellent addition to the gods, and you might be able to change us for the better." Said Poseidon. Percy was considering it. He was thinking about his mom and realized he could actually visit her pretty often even if he was the god for the simple fact that she was clear-sighted, and his dad was able to visit his house. He could see all his friends at camp. But he wasn't sure if he wanted to live forever. It sounded so boring, but he had a gut feeling that he was meant to accept it. Annabeth was smiling at him and nodding her head, he remembered his dad's words and thought of what his mom would say if she were here and then he made the choice.

"I accept the offer dad. But you have to teach me the ropes of godhood." Said Percy. He had a feeling his life was only gonna get better from that point.

"I am so happy Percy. Now prepare yourself, we are gonna start the process of turning you into A god." With that, they requested the presence of fates. The three wrinkled old fruits apparated into the throne room and looked at Percy.

"Percy Jackson, you think we are unfair for making you suffer so much. But fate is impartial, we don't dictate your life or actions we just guide it. Strings of fate are determined by our mother Anake. We just carry her will. Your actions, decisions, and character determine what you get. All your hardships led to this and the beautiful future you have in store for you." Said Wrinkled fruit II.

"Your blood has started turning into ichor. It will be almost a year before you are turned into a god. When the process is over you will be made an Olympian and your domains will be given to you." Said wrinkled fruit III.

"What? I thought you just blast me with lasers and baam I will be a god!" Said Percy Jackson. He was baffled by the news.

"Mortal body can't store all the energy of a god much less of one who is going to be as powerful as you. Be happy Percy Jackson. During this process, you don't have your demigod scent nor are you restricted by ancient laws like you will be once you become a god. Do whatever you want, go wherever you please. You were our chosen one Perseus and we couldn't have made a better choice." Said Wrinkled fruit I. To say Percy was surprised would be an understatement, but he wasn't complaining. With that the fates disappeared.

"We look forward to your inclusion Percy Jackson. Now let the party begin announced" Announced Zeus.

With that the best party Percy had ever seen began, it seemed grander than the one after the Titan war. Percy saw his dad walk up to him smiling broadly.

"Percy, you have no idea how happy I am. So, what will you do in this one year?" Asked Poseidon curiously.

"Well, I want to travel, see the world, and experience a normal life." Said Percy excitedly.

"I can help you with that. Here, take my card, it's linked to my mortal treasury so go crazy with it and take this" He said handing Percy the card and a coin. Percy looked at the coin weirdly. Poseidon just laughed before explaining that the coin turns into a car when thrown on land and a very fast cruise when thrown on the water to help him with his journey. Percy was unable to believe just how awesome this was.

"Enjoy the party Percy and stay safe on your trip. I will see if I can visit you when you are traveling by sea." With that Poseidon turned into mist and left Percy alone again.

And cut. That's the first chapter, not very happy with it. But damn writing is hard, this is just the beginning. Hopefully it gets better with time. I already decided the domains Percy will get but why don't you guys take a guess…
