Chapter 1 - New Arrivals in Kouh

[Location: Japan, Kuoh Town]

~ Skeletal Residence ~

A small bedroom meant for one can be seen. The light of the newly risen sun can be seen clipping through the gaps in the curtains, illuminating the room ever so slightly.

A small child is present on the bed in the room, enjoying his peaceful dream. That was until the door slammed open waking the young boy, a tall skeleton appearing in the doorway.

[Papyrus: "WAKE YOU BUFFOON! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!

[Frisk: "..."

[Papyrus: DON'T IGNORE ME HUMAN! NOW GET READY, YOUR SPAGHETTI WILL GET COLD!!

With that Papyrus leaves the child's room, leaving a very confused Frisk... Especially after looking at the clock on his bedside table and noticing that it was 4 a.m.

[Fisk: "W-What?"

Frisk then groggily makes his way downstairs to find Papyrus at the dinner table with Sans eating spaghetti.

[Sans: "Oh hey kid."

[Frisk: "Morning bro..."

[Papyrus: "EAT UP! YOU GOING TO NEED ALL THE ENERGY YOU CAN GET!!"

[Sans: "Come on Paps, the kid just woke up."

Frisk proceeds to walk over to the nearest available chair at the table and sits on it. He would have started eating but was caught off guard by the sound of a whoopee cushion.

[Frisk: "..."

[Sans: "HAHAHA. How do you keep falling for that?"

[Papyrus: "SANS!! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU?! 'NOT AT THE DINNER TABLE!' ALSO CUT IT OUT!!"

[Sans: "Wow sorry Paps, didn't think that would get under your 'skin'... Oh, wait..." ;)

[Papyrus: "SANS!!!"

Frisk and Sans then proceeded to laugh for a few minutes, frisk even falling on the floor and rolling around a bit.

The three then finish their breakfast and bicker about the weather for thirty minutes. Frisk and Sans then spend a few hours playing video games while Papyrus constantly keeps checking that Frisk will have everything he'll need for school.

[Papyrus: "FRISK PLEASE! YOU'VE ONLY GOT AN HOUR UNTIL SCHOOL STARTS... YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE!!"

[Frisk: "Paps chill, It's a fifteen-minute walk..."

[Papyrus: "I KNOW BUT I'M... JUST A BIT WORRIED, WE DON'T KNOW THE AREA! WHAT IF YOU GET LOST?!?!"

[Frisk: 'sigh' Fine, I'll go... See you later!"

Frisk says as he gets up from the sofa leaving Sans to game on his own, heading to the door.

[Sans: "See you later kid! Don't cause too much chaos."

[Papyrus: PLEASE BE SAFE!! MAKE MANY FRIENDS SO THAT WE CAN HAVE SPAGHETTI WITH THEM! OH, ALSO... COULD YOU GET SOME OF THAT NICE CHEESE THING FROM THE HUMAN STORE ON YOUR WAY BACK?!?!"

Fisk had already closed the door by the time Payrus finished, but opened it again and stuck a thumbs up through the crack.

The child could now be seen making his way to school in the early hours of the morning. He then started to think about the events that all led up to this...

{Flashback: yesterday.}

[Location: Japan, Mount Ebott - The Underground]

~ Outside The Barrier ~

Two individuals can be seen talking whilst looking out as the sun rises on the horizon. The two are on a cliff face with a path, a large cave entrance behind them seemingly heading further into the Mountain.

One of the individuals is the human Frisk, whereas the other is a feminine adult goat-like creature named Toriel.

[Toriel: "Frisk... You came from this world, right...?"

[Toriel: "So you must have a place to return to, do you not? What will you do now?"

[Frisk: "I... I want to stay with you."

[Toriel: "What? Frisk... You really are a funny child. If you had said this early, none of this would have happened. It's a good thing that you took so long to change your mind."

[Toriel: "Hee hee hee... Well, I suppose if you don't have another place to go... I will take care of you for as long as you need."

[Toriel: "All right? Now, come along."

With that Frisk's new guardian took his hand as they started to walk away from the mountain, following the group that was just ahead of them.

The two catch up to the group and continue down the mountain, although they didn't have a plan they did see a town in the distance. With the town being the only thing in sight they set their sights on it, making it their current goal.

[Papyrus: "FRISK, TORIEL!! HURRY UP, A NEW ADVENTURE AWAITS US!! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS WILL LEAD US... I DON'T KNOW WHERE BUT, WE'LL GET THERE!"

The over-enthusiastic skeleton announced as he struck a pose.

[Toriel: " 'Sigh' Papyrus we're going to the nearest town... I thought we went over this."

[Papyrus: "NYEH HEH HEH!!!! I KNEW THAT... I WAS JUST TESTING YOU!"

[Papyrus: "SEE FRISK? I WILL LEAD US INTO THIS NEW WORLD... SANS!! HOW DO WE GET THERE?!"

A smaller skeleton then appears next to Papyrus seemingly out of nowhere, his hands in his hoodie pockets.

[Sans: "Yeah, Paps?"

[Papyrus: "HOW DO WE GET TO THIS TOWN!? WE MUST GET THERE TO START OUR NEW ADVENTURE!"

[Sans: "Y'know I would have thought, you, our great leader would have known this."

[Papyrus: "THAT'S NOT THE POINT SANS, QUIT YOUR BLABERING! HOW DO WE GET THERE??"

[Asgore: "If I may... We do know where we're going..."

[Papyrus: "CAN IT ASGORE...! I'M THE LEADER, THEREFORE... WHERE IS IT THEN!?"

[Toriel: "Papyrus, if you just follow Asgore like the rest of us then we'll be there in no time."

Papyrus caves in and just decides to follow them. They decided to leave the path and take a shortcut through a small forest.

Whilst they made their way through the forest Sans and Frist started to feel uneasy... As if they were being watched.

[Frisk: "You feel that too right?"

He whispered to Sans so that the others weren't alarmed.

[Sans: "Yep."

[Frisk: "That's it? A simple 'Yep.'? I wonder what does through that thick skull of yours..."

[Sans: "Haha, nice... Don't worry, we'll be fine."

Before Frisk could comment back the group had stopped. Curious Sans and Frisk looked ahead. A girl?

A young girl could be seen with her arms crossed ahead of them, waiting. The girl had long crimson hair, and a decent-sized bust and was wearing what Frisk could only describe as a type of school uniform.

[Asgore: "Wait here... I'll speak to the young girl. Oh, Frisk, this is our first human contact, please... As our ambassador..."

[Frisk: "Of course, let's make some friends!"

With that Asgore and Frisk approached the girl while the others stayed back.

[Sans: "..."

[Papyrus: "DO YOU THINK THAT THEY'LL LIKE SPAGHETTI?!"

[Sans: "Dont know, but I don't have a good feeling..."

Sans then sensed that although she appeared to be alone, a few more people were hiding around the group.

Over at Asgore and Frisk, they finally reach the girl.

[Asgore: "We'll good morning young lady... Nice whether huh?"

[Young Girl: "What are you and why are you in Devil territory?"

[Asgore: "Whoa there, that's a hard line of questioning... Any way t-this is Frisk, our ambassador..."

[Frisk: "Greating! These are my frien- family. They are from a place called The Underground... I'm a human, but they are what they call Monsters. Now I know that may seem a bit scary..."

Frisk is cut off...

[Young Girl: "Are you okay? Did they kidnap you? Please I'll take you to safety, Koneko please escort him away whilst we deal this these 'Monsters'."

The person known as Koneko then jumps down from one of the trees and walks over to Frisk.

[Asgore: "W-Wait a moment... I think there's been a misunderstanding!"

[Frisk: "Umm Miss, you got it all wrong... I haven't been~"

Frisk is cut off again by the person known as Koneko karate chops the back of Frisk's neck, knocking him out.

[Young Girl: "First you try to break into my territory. Then you kidnap and brainwash an innocent human child?! I shall destroy you all in the name of the 'Gremory Clan'!"

Asgore hearing this and seeing a knocked-out Frisk summons a red trident and points it at Koneko.

[Asgore: "You will put my child down!!"

He yells this in a deep serious tone that's only been heard on one other occasion.

The girl with crimson hair then starts to summon what could only be described as a crimson magic circle and points it at Asgore.

Before she could do anything with them though, Sans magically appears in front of her. His appearance was normal, his hands were in his pockets, his smile as wide as ever, but... His eyes... His eyes were empty.

[Sans: "Little girl... I'd recommend that you not go down this path, because if you do... YOU GOING TO HAVE A BAD TIME!"

A little taken back at Sans' appearance and general look, the girl steps back.

[Young Girl: "Excuse me? Who do you think you are?! I am Rias Gremory, this is my territory, I will not be told what I can or can't do!"

[Sans: "Wanna test that?"

[Unknown: "Stop this at once!"

A new voice rang out, this one is also feminine.

[Unknown: "Rias, are you insane? I told you to see what they wanted not try to kill them."

[Rias: "Sona, they kidnapped a human child and brainwashed them! I'll not allow this on my territory!"

The person now known as Sona reveals themselves. She has short black bob-cut hair and is wearing the same uniform as Rias.

[Sona: "Did they? You didn't even give them a chance!"

[Asgore: "You seem to be the more reasonable one... I would just like my child back and we'll be on our way."

Asgore still has his trident out but is no longer pointing it at Rias.

[Sona: "Rias head back to the ORC, I'll contact you later. Koneko if you would please."

Koneko goes to give the unconscious body of Frisk back to Asgore until Rias steps in.

[Rias: "Koneko? Since when do you follow her orders? Did I say to hand the human back?"

[Rias Thoughts: 'I sense something within that boy, I want it... I don't care if I have to kill a few freaks.'

Sona was about to speak up, but one of Sans' eyes started to glow blue.

[Sans: "I would advise that you listen to your friend... After all, I don't have the 'guts' for this fight."

Rias and Sona seemed confused by the last part of his statement, but Papyrus can be seen punching the air, as well as Toriel trying to keep in a giggle.

[Papyrus: "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS! YOU, CRAZY MAGIC WOMAN BUGGER OFF! YOU, COOL WOMAN LET'S TALK SPAGHETTI!!"

This confused the two further. Rias didn't know if she should still be mad or not, and Sona didn't know if that was a compliment or not. Either, they were confused.

[Sona: " 'sigh' Rias just go... You're making this a lot harder than it needs to be."

Rias pouts at this and signals her... Friends? To stand down, Frisk is given to Asgore.

[Sona: "Now... Would you please follow me? I'll need some answer."

With a bit of hesitation, Asgore and the group then follow Sona. They did this in hopes that they would be able to strike a deal with her to stay in the town.

[Asgore Whispering: Undyne, stay at the back of the group in case of an ambush from behind."

{Unknown amount of time later - Still in flashback.}

Frisk slowly opens his eyes to see Papyrus looking down at him will a very worried look on his face.

[Frisk: "..."

[Papyrus: "OH THANK ASGORE YOUR ALRIGHT! I SWEAR NO SPAGHETTI FOR THAT RED-HEADED ONE WITH BIG BREASTS!!"

[Sans: "Be quiet Paps... I'm trying to get some shut-eye... Ha, I didn't even mean to do that one."

[Papyrus: "WHAT DO YO~ OH FOR GOODNESS SAKE! ENOUGH WITH THE PUNS SANS!!!"

Frisk looks around his environment to see that he's now in a building of some kind, lying down on a sofa. A small girl with no expression eating chocolate can also be seen in the room.

Looking at the girl she seems to be watching the two skeletons bicker, a small smile present on her face.

[Frisk: "Yeah... This is kinda of their thing. Idiots."

[Papyrus: "GASP!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY FRISK?!?! HEA MEAN NOW!"

[Sans: "Did you just say 'gasp'?"

[Papyrus: "SANS, THE LITTLE GIRL BROKE OUR HUMAN!!!!! PERHAPS SOME SPAGHETTI SHALL FIX HIM!!"

[Little Girl: "I didn't break him..."

[Papyrus: "HOW COULD TRUST SOMEONE WHO HURT MY BEST FRIEND?!?"

Papyrus then runs over to Frisk, picks him up from the sofa and protectively holds him.

[Frisk: "..."

[Sans: "Paps... I thought you didn't like the human that way."

[Papyrus] "I DON'T!!! IT'S JUST EVIDENT THAT THE HUMAN NEEDS PROTECTION!!"

[Sans: "Whatever floats ya boat... Well, that's all for today folks we'll see ya in the next chapter."

[Papyrus: "WHO ON EARTH ARE TALKING TOO?!?! KNOW ONES THERE!!"

[Papyrus: "SANS?!?!"

N/N: Oh uhh hi... That's the end of the first chapter. I'm still new to Undertale, please don't hurt me. Please give feedback, especially on how I've written the characters... I don't think I got a few right. I'd also like suggestions on what you'd like to see in this fanfic.
