Chapter 11
Don't leave me...

"I am sorry, Royal Guardian?" Toriel asks getting a nod from Heltin.

"Yes, Its a difficult thing to explain, but-" Toriel sighs as she sits down.

"So there is more to this Sio'ta stuff than we were told so far?" Toriel asks getting a nod from Heltin as well as a confused glance.

"You know of the Sio'ta already?" Toriel nods. "I guess my capture delayed my arrival… as well my wounds. Which once again, I thank you for. If you know of the Sio'ta either you know someone or know Frisk herself?" Toriel nods as she looks at Heltin.

"Yes, I know of her. How do you though, for we never seen you around here." Heltin bows his head down some.

"I am bound to the threads of souls, me and my twin sister Leina. However I assume if you know Leina has woken?" Toriel glances at Heltin with confusion. "Then…" He starts as he reaches out his six sense to feel Egel's presence. "… I see, Egel is here. I was hoping me or Leina would explain things, The old King has never been good with the way of words, it is why my mother was his advisor of politics, that or that very smart royal guard he had follow him all the time." Toriel blinks at the mention of Asgore.

"You don't look older than at most twenty-thirty years…" Toriel says getting a chuckle from Heltin.

"Yes, for I wasn't born till my mother's death. She too was a Sio'ta, she kept it secret and in her final days she secluded herself and took care of me and my sister, Created by her soul, we were born in two, one half Human soul, the other, being me. A monster soul fragment." Toriel blinks in surprise. "There is much more I can speak about, but it is important that when I do, Frisk is present, there is a lot to go over and I do not wish for any complications with her." Toriel glances away.

"A little late for that, Frisk and my son Asriel already having quite a problem thanks to the information of soul reviving. Asriel was brought back in a different manner apparently and now he thinks she bound him to love him…" Heltin blinks.

"That is not how that works… The process only makes that desire stronger. It cannot truly control someone. There is a reason bound and reborn differences.. Reborn would have everything about them grown, to better improve themselves. While Bound are given sacred duties for the person. The person could be turned, or never do it, but they typically get it on request, while Reborn are given a second chance. The only other thing that could happen is a true rebirth of the soul, its still only theoretical however that the soul would be turned from either Monster or Human to Sio'ta, granting them full range of boons, while also unfortunately inheriting their curse." Heltin says getting a curious look from Toriel.

"Curse? If anything else please explain that." Heltin nods at this request.

"The curse is probably the only reason Sio'ta are not as plentiful. Hatred is a dangerous emotion for them and they can lose control…" Heltin starts…

Meanwhile in Asriel's mind a younger version of him was currently staring up at dark mass with a glowing toxic effect of purple glowing throughout as he looks at the soul of Asriel, the purple mass was slowly wrapping tendrils around his soul, causing the red glow to slowly turn to a deep magenta around the tendrils.

"No… what is that?! I feel so much hatred coming from that thing…"

"Isn't it beautiful… so much hatred… and all of it is for Frisk…" A voice echos.

"No!" Young Asriel yells. "THAT is not good! Souls don't just change color, anything but a red or white soul means some sort of trauma or taint! The other souls from the underground are an example! They were hurt by the surface and tainted their pure soul, the red is the color of Fate's Strings!" Young Asriel yells out as the voice goes quiet.

"Shut up… you were always way too much of a book worm Asriel." The voice says with a dry tone. Young Asriel quickly catches the new tone.

"N-No…"

Back with Heltin and Toriel.

"So its dangerous? How dangerous?" Heltin frowns at Toriel's question.

"Deadly. Once fully corrupted, the soul is no longer savable, unlike souls that die with purity, those tainted head to the void and turned into fuel for something, my mother wasn't able to figure anything else out." Toriel gasps as she pictures Asriel or Frisk ending up like that. Souls gone forever…

"Is there a way to cure the curse?" Heltin shakes his head.

"Not that I know of, however… we can stop its growth and even weaken it. One with the curse would have to bind themselves to another with a soul ritual that my mother found… However to do so means you give everything to the other. The two will be able to full experience everything till the day they die as one." Toriel looks to the ground. She heard that meaning before, it was an even older spell that she never looked into. "Yes. That means if either dies, they both do. To protect from the turmoil of loss." Heltin says getting a nod from Toriel.

"I… Thank you. Right now we are preparing for Frisk and Asriel to take the Ritual of Hearts, to let them know the truth of everything they know or think of each other." Heltin nods as he looks towards the wall.

"That is quite an acceptable route of fixing relations… If I am to assume Asriel and Frisk are dating?" Toriel nods as he smiles. "That is good for the dating I mean, however this may not end the way you see it, the spell will work and go well… but the end, I have seen it before you could say… is never pretty." Heltin says getting a look from Toriel.

"I…" She shakes her head. "Its late, I should head to bed. I came to check on you and make sure you were well. I will come wake you when breakfast is ready so you can rest up from all those wounds." Toriel says gently getting a nod from Heltin.

"Thank you very much. I will do as you suggest." Heltin says as he watches Toriel get up and walk towards the door. He lies back in the bed and smiles gently. "Goodnight Mad'am Toriel." He says getting a chuckle from Toriel.

"Good night." Toriel says as she leaves, heading back up to her room to sleep, the night came and went as sunrise soon shone over the house hold. Toriel was eagerly baking away with her new friend and cooking pal; The one and only vulpine monster Caroline… least thats how it felt for Toriel as the two prepared a large breakfast this morning, Asgore was seen walking in with Egel as both massive men take a seat across from each other as if traditions never left.

'Was nice to have Egel over back then for dinner. The two really were good friends for each other.' Toriel thinks as she notices Frisk looking rather bed-headded this morning her hair was everywhere and she looked dead, she slumps down a seat down from Egel.

"Didn't sleep well?" Egel asks getting a groan and a mumble which caused him to chuckle. Frisk groaned about not having her 'Cuddly goat' already partially in a better mood than the day prior. Toriel and Caroline give each other a small smile, if Egel chuckled it was a good thing in this case.

"I will be right back, I am going to wake up our guest, its a bit late now. You got this Caroline?" Toriel asks her friend, whom gives a thumbs up as Toriel walks off as Caroline begins placing food before the ones arrived. Asriel yawned, his fur was particularly messy as well. A curious look from Asgore at this as Asriel always brushed some. He unconciously walked all the way around and next to Frisk but stopped as he woke up a bit more. He hesitated and mentally mewled a 'sorry' as he walks all the way around and sat across from her.

Frisk never noticed as her eyes were closed as if trying to catch a few more winks of sleep. Caroline was enjoying the scene even if distant it was much better than yesterday. Asriel was way different then and now, hes still not how she saw him. That ever burning passion in his voice to protect… to be there when he said her name. She was going to fix this relationship, or atleast try her best to.

Toriel walks in with a smile as she motions to Heltin behind her. "Everyone, this is Heltin. Hes going to be staying for a little while, please treat him as our own." Toriel announces, Frisk looks up at Heltin whom smiles at her. Frisk frowns for a moment as her head throbs, before she knows it she grabs her head and stands up knocking the chair backwards screaming in pain. Asriel and everyone jolted the moment it happened. Asriel looked to Frisk, his fears as he sees her in pain, then wonders what is causing… he turns to Heltin as the second he sees the his face, the burning orange orbs, he follows suit as the two scream in pain before passing out.

Heltin at the same time as Frisk's initial reaction went from a gentle smile to a horror as he soon saw Caroline and Egel ready to leap at him, if Toriel hadn't stepped in the way. It went so quickly he didn't know what happened.

"Settle down, I have no reason to believe this happened on purpose!" Toriel demands as Caroline glares at Heltin. Egel glaring at Toriel.

"Give me one damn reason why?!" Egel demands as Toriel takes a stern look and narrows her eyes deeply, Egel feels a cold chill flood his spine.

"One?! How about the fact he was wounded to near death! Why would anyone take such drastic measures! Plus, don't act all high and mighty, you may have been King at one point, but not now! Especially when I believe he gave more VITAL information than you did when you brought up the term 'Sio'Ta'! You are in my house, SO YOU WILL OBEY MY RULES!" Toriel screams back, fed up with the bossiness around her lately. Asgore inwardly chuckled at Egel finally seeing what a mother was at her limit.

"Y-Yes your majesty." Egel says as hes quickly bowing to Toriel, Caroline staring in awe as she sneaks up to Toriel.

"You have GOT to teach me how to snap like that! That was beautiful!" Caroline says with glee, getting a chuckle from Toriel.

"O-Oh my, I really went out there didn't I… Apologies." Caroline slaps her own face as she gives a fish expression to Toriel.

"Whaaa don't apologies, you rule girl!" Caroline replies getting a chuckle from everyone as the two look at the two children in the floor.

"Atleast it wasn't a violent morning…" Asgore says as he stands up and picks Asriel up, Caroline was already picking Frisk up as the two are taken to their respective rooms, meanwhile Egel looks at Toriel questionably.

"Still waiting for a really damn good reason why we shouldn't assume Heltin here did this on purpose." Toriel sighs as she looks at Egel.

"Look, I don't fully understand it… but to me it looked like a repressed memory recall. Some are easy like a simple flash back with either trauma or emotional states, however I have seen some so strong the person went into a coma, its been years since the war, but I saw it in both Humans and Monsters, especially young ones who saw death of family." Toriel says getting a look from everyone. "I can tend to something like this, it looks like a powerful one, but not the strongest I have seen."

Meanwhile Frisk was currently finding herself in a new surroundings in her head.

She was staring at the scene before her, She was impaled in the air, seven spears through her body. Standing over her body as her soul slips from her form was a black figure with the same burning orange eyes as Heltin. Frisk sees Asriel's form frozen as he reaches out to her impaled form.

"Horrible isn't it…" A voice says getting Frisk to turn around to see the same orange eyes with a saddened glow to them, as the Ram Heltin walks up to Frisk and shakes his head.

"Its you! What is going on here?!" Frisk demands as she steps away from Heltin.

"Don't worry Frisk hes not an enemy." Another voice as a white glow floats up to the two as Heltin smiles.

"Your awake finally, I was worried I would have to show up to wake you up. You always were a lazy sleeper." Heltin says as Frisk looks at the light confused.

"You know him?" The light bobs as it floats towards Frisk.

"Yes, hes my brother. The other half of me. We are your Guardians Frisk… and there is much to talk about, however first we must finish seeing this through now…" The light says as Heltin nods.

"Yes. As Leina has said it is time to see it through, now that I have made contact with you and Asriel I will be here if you need me." Heltin bows gently as he frowns "It is the least I can do…" He says before motioning for her to follow.

"What is happening?" Frisk asks trying to wrap her mind around this. Heltin shakes his head. "Even if I did, you would not remember anything prior falling asleep the previous day. You won't get another reaction either after this. But unfortunately this may harm your relations a big longer…" Heltin says…

Meanwhile with Asriel

Asriel finds himself staring at Heltin, with this burning desire to maim him as the two circle.

"Please Asriel, I am not your enemy." Heltin pleas as he wishes his sister was here for support.

"Oh yeah? Why do I recall this feeling you caused a lot of pain to us, Frisk, Chara, and I!" He yells out before leaping towards the Ram whom dodges his pounce.

"its a flicker of another reality, like the time lines of Frisk in the underground! You experienced another version of me and you in the span of a few seconds. That is a lot of emotion to be hit with!" Heltin says trying to get Asriel to calm down. The young goat stands up some as he looks around. Hes the only one attacking unlike that hatred seemed to think. He takes a deep breath before shaking his head.

"Sorry, I guess I am a bad judge of character…" Asriel says as he steps away. Heltin questionably looks at him as he walks with Asriel.

"I would not say that. You met Frisk." Asriel stops and looks at Heltin as he smiles at the young man. 'This isn't going to work forever, but it will likely help ease the crazy spike he had.'

"What…? You barely met her…" Heltin shakes his head getting a confused look from Asriel.

"You and Frisk are currently in the same boat, when you locked eyes with me I was able to link to your souls. I am what is called a Guardian, There is more to explain but It would be best to save it for everyone to hear at once. Simply put, I was the one who should have explained what a Sio'ta is, and their abilities. Not Egel, he is an amateur to the knowledge despite being touched himself by a Sio'ta." Asriel's eyes widen as he stands up.

"W-Wait hold up, are you saying Egel was also resurrected at some point?" Heltin shrugs.

"Resurrected or chose to honor someone." Heltin says before looking at Asriel. "Right now I feel how much guilt and fear she has… She blames herself for not going alone so this whole debacle could have been avoided, she said maybe she should have stormed off instead of listen. She sometimes wished…" Heltin looks away. Asriel's eyes widen as he shakes his head.

"No! Your lying." Asriel screams as he steps back.

"I am not, if you want proof, link with my soul. I will let you feel her through my link." Heltin says as he offers his odd soul to Asriel, whom slowly walks up and lets his soul come to the surface, two threads latch out and connect as Asriel feels a rush of new emotions for a split before it calms.

"I don-" Asriel starts as he feels a tug of disgust that he was having, something that had slowly been bothering him grow much stronger, it felt the same; it wasn't him. It was Frisk. The pull he was linked to her! Then he felt the guilt, the self-hatred, and the fears. Not able to clearly see them, but to feel the levels of severity caused him worry, he wasn't having those lately, he was having anger… now he feels the regret as the link slowly fades.

"Do you understand now Asriel? She loves you, you just gotta remember that deep down in your heart, your soul." Heltin says, Asriel was panting as he latches onto Heltin with a strong hug. The expression was one of fighting tears. "Its alright child… rest." As the two slowly fall to the floor, allowing Asriel to pass out, before scenes begin to play before him. Heltin slips free as he stands and walks about.

"Now that he is being properly calmed into it… Time to make sure no other irregularities exist." Heltin says as he walks down one direction of the void of Asriel's mind. He groaned at the infinite routes you could take… As if responding to his annoyance the place turned into the Dreemurr home.

"This way!"A voice echos from upstairs, Heltin blinks as he runs up the stairs and down the hall, he notices the place seems warped as the hallway has gone rather dark with dull lights as he runs down past the doors. "Stop!" The voice cries out causing Heltin to pause and look around. "Three doors down on your right!" Heltin blinks and follows the voice's instruction, opening the designated door he is met with a young Asriel looking at him with annoyance.

"About time I got you here, If what ever is happening to Main Asriel is letting me control his mind, is not good." Heltin stares blinking a few more times at the Young Asriel.

"And you are?" Heltin asks getting an eye roll.

"I am his kindness, with how hes been acting he foresaw kindness as a child version of himself and I was made." Young Asriel says before a flicker to the barrier around the young man flickers and vanishes. "Finally. Fucking Chara." Heltin blinks confused.

"Chara?" Young Asriel nods as he looks at Heltin.

"Yes. My so called 'brother'. Anyways who are you and what is going on…" he asks looking at the visitor.

"I am Heltin, suffice to say; I am a friend of you and Frisk… though it seems I was a pretty bad person before." Young Asriel glaces at Heltin curiously.

"I would say neither of us truly understood things of the past. I saw glimpses of the memories. That wasn't us or our timeline. Heina was a city in the forests not mountains there…. So what happens to us now?" Young Asriel asks again getting a sigh.

"You and Frisk are going to lose any memories of today." Young Asriel sighs with a frown. "And I fear your emotions will be out of control; I fear I made things worse by my timing."

"No. Its for the best, Me and Frisk have had this 'perfect' little thing going, everything was too… perfect. If we want to truly live happily we will have to have a bump to test our resolves." Young Asriel says before looking to the ground. "I already know how this is going to end…" An image of Frisk bloodied flickers in his mind. "Heltin, I am not sure how strong your abilities are, but I have a feeling you can do this; If it comes to my death. Don't let Frisk or anyone remember me. I would rather be forgotten than let Frisk mope about my death. She would never forgive herself." Heltin's eyes widen as he reaches out to Asriel. However a bright light begins to encompass the two as everything goes white.

"I… I will." Heltin feels regret for taking the request. 'I will make sure that it doesn't come to that though… I don't think I can lose the last embers of my family. I want to see this flame mother mentioned in her final breath. The flame of souls.' Hentin thinks as everything went white.

The next early morning…

Frisk groans as she rolls over to her side. Her head throbbing in pain as she pulls her sheets closer. "Asriel…" She mumbles in her pillow, reaching out as if looking, falling flat onto the bed a slow and low groan comes next. A slight sniffle before she pulls her pillow closer to her face. "Azzy… I'm sorry…"

'I wouldn't betray you… you have to believe me…' Frisk mentally cries, a glimpse of her golden eyes in the early morning glow, tears in her eyes threatening to fall.

Her hands grip the pillow, as she feels a gentle warmth roll over her. "I know dear." Frisk stops and glances around.

"W-Who.." Frisk asks quietly, the voice she heard was too close for comfort.

"Don't you remember me?" The voice echos out sadly. Frisk slowly sits up relaxing some. It did have a feel to it, but unsure entirely. "Look, I am a friend. My name is Leina. I am a Guardian to one Frisk Kein, that being you." Leina's voice echos, Frisk realizes its in her head. She looks about as she gives a gentle hum.

'Leina… I'm sorry its not ringing a bell. You do feel familiar though odd..' Frisk replies as she hears a chuckle in her mind.

"Yes, that is a long story though. Any who, I know how you feel right now. That feeling isn't going to help you now… what will is doing what you do best. Stay determined." The voice says getting Frisk to nod, with a weak smile. Yeah, how could she give up now, it wasn't over yet. She was going to earn his forgiveness.

"Yeah…" She quietly says moving to the side her bed before climbing out. Turning around she glances at the bed and blushes.

"Wow, someone is quite messy without their plushie." Leina teases. Frisk sputters as she tries to find her words.

'H-Hey now! I am no where this bad all the time! Oh god how did five small plushies end up at my door?! Wait where is my body pil-' The pillow was stuck on the ceiling. She blinked once, then twice. She swore she felt Leina blinking forcibly as well.

"How…?" Frisk gently pokes it and it falls down with a soft swoosh. "HOOOW?!

'I promise, this has never happened before!' Frisk cries, afraid shes setting weird standards for her new companion.

Asriel's room.

Asriel groans as he rolls his head forwards, His head throbbing uncomfortably as he starts to sit up, his pillow getting caught with a small rip sound as he sits up and groans.

"Not again… Frisk is gonna be pissed, this was hers…" He tiredly cries as he carefully removes the pillow. He sighs as he lies back with the pillow besides him. His right hand rises and feels his head, and as expected there were two rather sharp spikes sticking out again, that then meant he had to get his father to grind them down again. He hates doing that, but he also hated ripping his clothes and bedding, that stuff is expensive long term!

Then there was the time he accidentally stabbed Frisk's leg. His body rolls with a light feeling of vomiting urge and regret. He didn't handle gore then easily…

"Hmph well deserved, she kept dragging us around all day after that." Asriel's voice echos in his head.

'Huh, but we… we hurt her…' Asriel replies feeling unsure along with a growing guilt.

"But what did she do the day before? The damn thing, she took full advantage of making us feel guilty for it all of it! And what about the day after?!"

'B-But that doesn't make sense… Frisk wouldn't… Frisk isn't Chara…'

"Oh? Are you so sure… you sure you didn't have several years of runs where you truly believed Frisk wasn't Chara…?"

'I...I…'

"That is what I thought. You let us be tricked again… How could you!?"

'No! No I didn't! Frisk wouldn't S-She…'

"Don't you remember what her father said?! She bound you to love her you idiot!"

'No! No no no no no! S-She Wou- S-She'd n-nev… f-for what reason huh?! What reason could she have?!'

"We are a means to an end, once we are no longer 'fun' she will leave you." The voice says in Asriel's voice as the real Asriel growls and tightens his fists. 'Thats it Asriel. BREAK FOR ME!' The voice thinks as Asriel's eyes glare angrily at the pillow, Frisk's scent strong on it still, he grabs it and tosses it across the room, his claws extended with anger as they rip the pillow during the throw. Asriel huffs as he glares at the soft material all over his floor. His mood snapped as he growls, a flicker of red grows as it floats about into a small bright orange ember, an ever growing color as it combusts into a bright yellow fireball.

'N-No magic in house…' Asriel struggles to remind himself as the fireball flickers away.

'Frisk…' He felt anger and regret… however his eyes flicker ruby for a second before he snarls at the pillow. 'No more.' He growls as deep in his mind a satisfied chuckle quietly echos.

'Yes… No more. Here we come Frisk… this time you won't get away. This time we are going to end this game!' The voice mentally cheers.

Meanwhile in the deepest recession of his mind a pair of emerald eyes glint with a small white light before them. 'This is… But how would it work here… No matter, maybe… maybe I can oh…'

Downstairs Heltin is smiling as Egel is covering his head as Caroline casually smashes a rolled up newspaper against him while everyone else is laughing while Toriel is placing down plates of food. Frisk walks down the stairs her hair messy as last time as she takes a seat in the same chair before slumping.

"Morning Frisk." Asgore says getting a tired wave, everyone else gives a gentle chuckle. Toriel places a smaller plate down before Nana who was sitting next to Frisk on the table. There as a small white condiment cup next to her as she smiles at the food. Eveyone else was starting to dig in.

"Thank you Toriel." Nana says before she lifts up a tiny pancake in her hands and dips it in a condiment cup of syrup before munching down onto it like an oversized cookie in her hands. Frisk sits up before digging into her food, all the while Caroline raises an eye brow.

"Is Asriel not up yet?" Caroline asks before Asgore looks up, something didn't feel right here...

"I will go get him." Asgore says before standing up, walking through the living room to head up stairs. The elder goat felt something amiss, even Asriel was up on time in a bad mood as he was in a good one. Walking up to the door he gave it a few solid knocks. The sound of someone stumbling is heard soon after.

Asgore opens the door to see Asriel staring at a destroyed pillow, and a picture of him and Frisk ripped in half. "Asriel?" Asriel panting with fear on his face looks up.

"I… I don't…" Asgore walks in closing the door behind him before he picks up the photo pieces, it was him and Frisk just a few days after the Barrier fell. "Dad…" Asgore sighs as he moves to Asriel and sits on the bed.

"It is alright Asriel I am not mad. Want to explain what happened?" Asriel nods as he sits up. His body shaking as he recalls that coldness that was holding him moments before.

"I… I guess I was talking to myself, and I got angry and destroyed Frisk's pillow…" Asriel says shaking as he looks at Asgore. "T-Then I saw that photo and I ripped it before you knocked at the door… I don't.. I never wanted to… What is happening dad?" Asriel asks as he feels that coldness deep in himself.

"What did you say to yourself?" Asriel frowns as he looks to the ground before he recounts his tale of the two sides of him talking. Asgore had to listen and support him in the healthiest way possible… This wasn't going to be easy. "T-Then… I felt this coldness wash over me soon after…" Asriel says as he looks at his hands. "Dad… I think I should be alone for a while…" Asgore nods with a frown.

"I understand, I will bring your breakfast in a short after you had a moment to calm your mind." Asriel silent nods as he looks at his shaking hands. He felt a slight tug in the back of his head as a young voice echos.

'Don't give up hope Asriel!' The young voice says before vanishing all together. Asriel felt that familiar cold feeling trying to roll over him as he shakes it off again before looking to the picture of Frisk and him on the bed. Asgore walks out the door closing it behind him.

"D-Don't give up hope… right…" Asriel says with an unsure tone, more worried about what is going on with him as this is the closest he felt to before all this started. He walks over and picks up the two pieces, he felt a path before him twisting and turning in ways he didn't want as he goes to his desk, opening up the drawer he pulls out some clear tape and puts the picture as close as possible together. A gut wrenching level of guilt rolls in his stomach.

"Frisk… never gave up hope." He says with a gentle nod. He couldn't either… The ritual was the only chance of cleaning this mess up, nothing felt right. Nothing felt true, he looked down to his hands and let his claws extend outwards. The sharp glint of the edges made him frown. These hands hurt Frisk already, something he never truly wanted. What he wanted… he relaxed and felt the pull of his soul. What did he want…

Happiness… 'That is what that is right? To feel… joy right? Its been so long since I really thought about what I wanted… not letting my thoughts echo what they want…'

Family… 'This, I can feel this desire. Its for a family, I always joked to Chara that I would have lots n lots of kids when I found someone… realistically wouldnt be possible back then… but I can feel a change in my body and my soul. This goal for a big happy family… Its possible. Is this a blessing of this body now? There is much to learn still…'

Love… 'I know this feeling too well… When I look at Frisk, what do I think of love; Its someone whom can always bring joy to a day, no matter what. They respect you… respect… Frisk has done nothing but respect me, her selfishness sometimes, is not undesired. She needs to be more selfish, she always looks out for me… or others. Then I think of… guilt in my actions and the fact that Frisk can forgive them and make sure that I can be happy, and then I worry… that I am not good enough for Frisk, but I want to keep trying…'

There was something else, something he couldn't quite place his paw on… it was...his goal; his ultimate drive; To protect everyone he cares for… 'I… I…'

His hands tighten as he gasps at the sharpness of his claws. Seeing the slight prick of blood on his hands he pulls out a pair of odd looking scissors and turns on his desk lamp. Shining his lamp at him and looking at the pale claws he finds the safest point before cutting his claws way down. The crunch always made him jump in disgust, it felt like he was crushing his own bones with no pain.

He failed to do what he wanted the most, He cares for Frisk, he knows that truly he loves her deep down. She did nothing but help him, now… The image of Frisk's clawed face flickers as he frowns, he was unsure what else he could do… suddenly a knock on the door.

"Asriel? Its me dear…" Toriel's voice echos through.

"Come in…" Asriel says standing up. He takes a seat on the bed, before Toriel comes in with a plate in hand.

"Your father tried to insist, but… I wanted to check in on you." Asriel smiles at his mother and gives a gentle nod.

"Thank you mom." Asriel replies as he takes the plate of food from Toriel's hand. Toriel stands there frowning.

"Are you sure you want to stay up here?" She asks with worry, Asriel gives a weaker smile at his mother as he looks at her.

"Yes… Just for now. I think it would be best right now. Mom, when is that ritual to take place?" He asks as his mother looks to the window.

"It should be ready in a few days, we have a few things to get from the Underground, and then we have to designate a third party to do the Ritual, that way you can be sure that its all fair." Toriel says, getting a slightly stronger smile from her son.

"I… I appriecate everything mom, even going as far to make sure I don't feel like I am being tricked into this." Toriel frowns as she looks at Asriel.

"Asriel, as much as I want to; is there no way to avoid going through with this? This ritual is ever binding. Even me and your father cannot truly be unbound by this. We took the ritual and even now, we are bound by our promises at the end; To care for our children. I don't want you to be bound in case something goes wrong later down the line." Asriel looks at his worried mother as she stares at him.

"Mom… I understand. However, if it goes well and I was wrong being bound is the least of my worries. I hurt Frisk mom on purpose this time... How can I look her in the eyes again knowing I… If I get bound by it; then so be it, its the least I can do." Asriel says as he looks down to his hands, his cut claws shown, Toriel stares almost in disbelief. The last time he cut them on his own he was scared when he accidentally cut Frisk's arm when catching her from slipping on ice in the park where they used to ice skate during the early days of settling down here. She knew how much he hated cutting his claws.

"You…" Asriel nods.

"Yeah, the pain I caused Frisk is more than the disgust I get from cutting my claws." Asriel says before looking back to the food. "Thanks for the food mom." He says, Toriel felt she wasn't going to hear much more from him as she bends down and gives him a gentle kiss on the head.

"Your welcome dear. Just know we all love you okay?" Toriel says leaving the room, letting Asriel dig into his food slowly.

"Yeah, I know." He quietly says before taking a bite of the food. The moment the food touched his lips; an instantaneous coldness and darkness claims him. A more darker glint shines in his eyes. "oh how I know…" He muses darkly.

Frisk meanwhile was talking to Heltin about some more basic fundamentals about herself.

"So, my body not only is stronger natural against damage thanks to my access to magic, but unlike monsters or the mages I have the capability to learn any type of magic to the fullest. Like Fire and Light types." Frisk asks getting a nod.

"Yes, some of your natural abilities I have heard from Toriel that involved you conjuring a shield, can you do so for me now?" Heltin asks, Frisk however looks to her hand and shakes her head.

"I… I can feel that feeling, but it only every happened a few times. Before that I think I saw it happen in the underground too, but it was only when I was defending myself from Undyne that I could use whatever I was holding, and a few times it was one of her spears that I used to block the attacks, but they glimmered a bit I noticed." Heltin nods his head as he look around and see a broom stick in the corner. Standing up from the couch he moves and takes the broom stick before walking to Frisk.

"Take this and act as if your blocking an attack if you would then…" Frisk blinks before nodding. She takes the broom stick and right as she prepares to block, a glimmer sheens around the entire stick. Heltin looks closely and notices the golden glimmer in addition to a flowing pattern to it. "I see, well this is a first. It seems your desire for the ability to protect yourself and others has granted you a wonderous skill, your skill to defend yourself, shield or blocking is purely instinctual. This skill is more promising with your ability for the last person to use it was Asgore Dreemurr though he had to actively use it.

"Hold up, are you saying she somehow recreated Living Barrier?! I barely managed to get a barrier when actively using it for up to ten minutes… And she…" Asgore says with surprise. Heltin nods.

"Yes Frisk has managed to created it down the full theoretical idea, a Barrier that conjures itself and can fully determine evil from good intent." Heltin frowns then as everyone notices. "Then it raises another question; Why didn't it protect Frisk when Asriel…" This was a curious thought. One that worried him. Frisk shakes it from her head as she smiles.

"So, like this barrier can do a lot right? What if I wanted to actually conjure it up; think I could?" Frisk asks getting Heltin off his current thoughts.

"Huh? Oh quite so. Hmm, Try imagining a sphere or a convex shape. Then picture that energy you felt in the weapon flowing to it." Heltin says Frisk nods as she closes her eyes, and before everyone's eyes a golden honeycomb shaped barrier is projected in front of Frisk. Heltin walks up and places his hand on it, its solid however his hand seeps through suddenly as he looks at Frisk.

"Sorry, I kinda pictured your hand going through and it did…" She replies as he pulls his hand back, Asgore walks up and touches the barrier.

"My dust… it feels like the same level as the Barrier that kept us trapped… The power flowing through it…" Asgore says getting a nod from Heltin.

"That is what several years of exclusive use will do… Its possible Frisk here if she knew how back then she could have simple dismissed the barrier." Heltin says explaining the level of skill Frisk has instinctively trained her only ability she has manifested. "Anyhow we are getting off track. So besides this; I am sure Toriel and Asgore noticed a difference even slight that even they have felt better than they have in years." Toriel blinks as she enters the living room.

"What do you mean Heltin?" Heltin smiles at the older monster.

"Sio'ta in the presence of Monsters or Humans strengthens them in a way; For Monsters' your bodies will becomes more physical in nature; meaning if enough time is spent over the new few thousand years You would eventually no longer fade to dust." The Ram Monster says as he looks to Frisk. "Not only that; but unlike Monsters; she will live to see many generations of her own kids and grand-kids. Asriel falls under this too now, adding a new effect is that once hes eighteen you and Asgore will not need to worry about dying from age. He is generating his own soul power and is only taking no more than a hundredth of your soul energy. Small enough that it is replenished in mere months." Toriel and Asgore looked at Heltin then each other.

'So I can…' Toriel's expression lights up as she makes a squee in excitement. "I can actually have grand children and watch over them?!" Toriel says excitedly. Frisk and Caroline begin to chuckle at Toriel's reaction. Heltin only nods to confirm. This continues to go on with more smaller details. The whole day no one saw Asriel leave his room. Asgore checks on him a few times, and suspect nothing is wrong besides him taking time to himself. By the time night fell, Frisk can be seen walking to Asriel's door with Toriel with her.

"Are you sure Frisk?" Toriel asks, getting a nod from the bright eyed girl.

"Yeah, I need to try." Frisk responds before knocking on the door. Toriel backs up a bit to give her room to talk to Asriel as he opens the door with a bored expression.

"Can I help you…" He replies with a hint of annoyance.

"Asriel can we talk. Please?" She asks causing him to give a 'hm' response.

"Don't want to. Now leave." He says before closing his door. Frisk's eyes widen before she steels her self. Knocking again. Asriel on the otherside of the door groans. He opens the door glaring daggers at Frisk this time. "I said no! Why can't you leave me alone." He asks with venom in his voice.

"Asriel, please listen…" She tries and sees hes about to close the door. Grabbing the door with her hand as he tries to shut it causing it slam on her hand. Biting her lip to not scream in pain, her hand in the doorway with Toriel's eyes widen.

"I said no, I don't want to hear anymore of your lies!" He seethes. Frisk's eyes narrow.

"Lies? When have I ever lied to you?" She presses as she tries to open the door. She wasn't planning on being ignored, she wanted to know why he was this way.

"About everything! What was making me your 'boy toy' not enough?" He growls Frisk's eyes widen in surprise.

"Is that what you think?! I would never do anything to make you feel that way!" She replies, the door opens some as she gets her hand free. The door opens more she looks up hoping to speak with Asriel face to face, however all she heard was Toriel's cry before she was on the floor and the door slamming shut. Her back and back of her head was in pain as she was against the wall on the floor. She felt a slight feeling of his hands pushing her.

"Frisk are you okay?" Toriel asks as she checks Frisk out, checking her head to see some blood. "Oh dear hold still okay?" Her hands glow green as she begins to tend to Frisk's head injury. Frisk meanwhile was wondering why Asriel was doing this… it made no sense. Once the night was over Frisk eventually fell asleep the next morning was another attempt, she would wait till Asriel came out to confront him.

The morning came, Heltin and Toriel were discussing the ritual, Heltin being able to act as a third party with no real connections to Frisk and Asriel truly. He had nothing to gain or lose from their relations. Heltin agrees to this; but he knew that deep down he didn't want anything to happen to either. Soon after Toriel started breakfast again with Caroline, with everyone soon coming to the table, Asriel arrives shortly before Frisk.

Breakfast was quiet, Frisk kept looking at Asriel pleadingly and as he tries to leave after he finishes his food. Frisk follows after him, it soon became a one way yelling match as Asriel yells his replies more and more.

"Asriel please, Why won't you give me a chance to talk with you!" Frisk cries out before Asriel gave a deep growl, he raises his right hand balled up into a fist that came too quickly. Frisk was on the floor, and Asriel looked like he was about to pounce on her before Asgore grabbed his shoulder. Asgore was worried something would go wrong and watched the two, he was glad he watched over the two.

"Asriel please…" Asriel looks to his father angrily, before seeing the hurt eyes. He looks to Frisk, he hit her dead on in the left eye. It was already showing signs of redness and swelling as she was only able to look clearly with her right eye, the only eye she could show fear in. Asriel however felt this fear from her and growled.

"Just leave me alone you damn freak." He growls before turning and leaving. Frisk reaches out towards him as her vision started to blur as she mumbles a few words, words that Asgore felt something inside him snap.

"I'm sorry… don't go." She quietly says before passing out. Asgore bends down to pick her up as Caroline and Toriel rush into the hallway. It took everything Caroline had to not rip that door off the hinges as she saw Asriel look back and close his door. And soon it would happen again and again, As every time Frisk tried to interact with Asriel he would get extreme confrontational, Everyone tried their best and yet Frisk managed to slip past; it became how long they could keep them calm before the ritual to how long they needed to protect Frisk from being killed it felt like.

This became a very unwelcome occurrence from Asriel, as the next day she tried again though with each attempt she began to get softer and softer in her tone, she hadn't eaten a single thing aside from breakfast the previous day, her face was turning pale by the third day, her arms covered with bruises that were refusing to leave. Her left eye was still swelled shut, and then it came in.

"What are we going to do?" Toriel asks as she looks at the piece of paper in her hand.

"I… don't know." Asgore sighs as he holds his head in his hands. Caroline frowns as she looks at the paper; The one thing they forgot about, School. It was finally starting up, with a much shorter notice than most as they have four days before the ceremony they have to go to, at the rate things were going it would be dangerous to let Asriel around other humans. They were surprised that the humans hadn't investigated them for Frisk and Asriel constantly being home right now.

Egel sighs as he looks down from his spot next standing next to Caroline as he looks at the group.

"We push it up, We have to do the ritual in three days then…" Egel says, Heltin stands up and walks towards the living room front window and stares out to the cloud filled sky, the clouds showed signs of darkening ever so slowly.

"That is the only course of action we have." Heltin says with a sigh. "These clouds tell a storm is happening tonight…" It was barely noon, and Frisk was asleep, Asriel had been restricted to his room for his recent actions by Toriel.

Meanwhile with Asriel.

Asriel lies on his back reading a book with a bored expression on his face. He was angry he couldn't leave the house now, He throws the book to the side onto his desk as he sits up and walks to the door. Exiting his room and making his way towards the bathroom he hears voices from the living room.

"Alright so with the ritual in three days we have to wait for storm to blow over…" Toriel says, Asriel peeks over the edge carefully at the group.

"It looks bad… hopefully its not more hail." Asgore says looking to the sky. Toriel sighs as she walks into the kitchen the clock next to the fridge showed it was now a little after three.

"Yes. I am going to start some lunch, I know its late, but is anyone hungry? Asriel?" Asriel jumps as he looks into the kitchen.

"I uh…" He was caught off guard as she looks at him curiously.

"I knew you were there. After slamming a few times, your door is not really the quietest." Toriel responds dryly. Asriel did feel bad that his mother was so… angry at him.

"Sorry. I… could use a bite to eat." He responds as he looks to the others, now knowing hes there he walks into the living room, he looks through the window to see the darkening clouds as it begins to turn colder outside, he touches the glass and to him… it felt welcoming.

"Asriel, how are you feeling?" Asgore asks, Asriel turns to look at his father seeing the very much angry glare Caroline was giving him was unsettling.

"I am feeling fine, why?" The teen goat responds before looking back outside.

"Well.. you are rather quiet and calm than you have been…" Asriel rolls his eyes. Of course he would point that out.

"Cause I ain't dealing with that stupid girl." He responds, a low growl echos from Caroline. Egel held her in place, despite his own desire to growl.

"Asriel…" Asgore says, getting him to sigh.

"Sorry." He responds, his tone cold and uncaring again.

"Listen Asriel I will get you when food is ready okay?" Asgore sees his son roll his eyes at his words. "Please…" Asriel sighs before leaving the room, heading back towards his room. Caroline narrowing her eyes stands up and goes up stairs towards Frisk's room. Caroline upon entering the room sees Frisk barely sitting up, her face was bandaged up, covering her swollen eye as she looks out the window into the sky.

"Your awake, how are you feeling…" Caroline asks as she walks up to her daughter. Frisk doesn't respond as she continues to look outside. "I see…" Caroline frowns at her daughter's quietness. "If you need anything just let me know okay dear?" Caroline awaits some sort of response only to see or hear nothing. She furls her hands into firsts as she quietly leaves the room. Upon closing the door she leans back as she slides to the floor crying. Egel was soon walking up to the steps as he sees Caroline crying on the floor. He knew things were getting unnecessarily bad.

It was no longer then an hour before lunch was ready. Toriel was eating with Asgore, Asriel, and Heltin. Egel, Frisk, and Caroline were not seen yet.

"How is Caroline holding up Toriel?" Heltin asks getting a frown.

"The poor woman is suffering. Frisk wouldn't even respond to her. That is something a mother shouldn't experience." Toriel says causing a frown in the Ram monster. Asriel quietly listens as he eats his food.

"Indeed… at this rate she is likely to be the start of another of the emotional collapse wave." Asgore says with his own frown. "I don't want to see anymore fallen Monsters, I fought to stop them…" Asriel's eyes look to his father with a curious thought.

'I thought it was to free them.' Asriel thought as he takes another bite.

"It reminds me of my mother's final days…" Heltin says as he sighs. "She was a wreck fighting her curse, She had to stop herself from harming me and my sister several times. I would find her crying, it wasn't even the first time she had witnessed the corruption, as her late love whom she never got to admit to also died a few years prior." Toriel frowns as she looks at Heltin.

"What happened?" Toriel curious to know, Asriel was too listening in.

Heltin looks to the ceiling. "The man's name was Vara, He and her were both around nine-teen when this happened. From what I remember Vara was a gentle soul in his early days, but he slowly started to get colder becoming a bully practically, she described him as having a light still inside him that allowed him not to go too far. That changed when one day he decided to mess with an old friend of his, they were near a cliff ledge he was going to trip and catch his friend scaring him. That friend was not caught as Vara's body refused to listen to him." Asriel sat up and looked dead on into Heltin's direction listening.

So was Asgore and Toriel as the two listened on this story. "Vara, took a step back as soon as the crack was heard, the others that were with him looked at him in fear, He killed… the worse sin he could have done, and worse of all it was how he was found out to not be Monster or Human, but Sio'ta. Vara ran, he ran to the only person who he could trust; my mother. He cried in her arms, scared for his life, however no matter how much soothing she did, his corruption was too far along and before she knew it; It was how my mother had her first child… her own soul soured with a stain after that; despite not how she wanted it, she let it be the last thing he did before she ended her love's life."

"My mother's child died soon before mine and my sister's Lunar birth. That was the name she gave my sister; I was Eclipse then, her little lights as she called us; Soon a day before her death she had nearly killed my sister if it weren't for me; I managed to get her off her and when she came she ran. The morning came we found her in her room… hanging." Toriel gasps, Asriel's eyes widen as he could only imagine.

"I will never forget my mother's love, she never intended to harm us; She trained us to be ready to be here to help those who need it." Heltin says with a gentle smile, Asriel the only one to catch the lone tear that dropped down his face. Asriel after hearing rewinds his emotions hes feeling now. During Vara's tale of corrupt, he felt a kinship… an enjoyment to the cruelness. He approved and that in returned caused him to feel nauseous. He slid back, as he frowns at the half of meal he had.

"Apologies mom, can I be excused? I am not feeling quite well…" Asriel politly asks, catching her off guard. She stands up and walks over to him and places her hand close to his head.

"Everything alright dear? You never eat so little…" She asks worried he might be getting sick, he shakes his head.

"No, I just feel a little nauseous, I think I need to lie down for a little is all." He replies. Toriel nods as she lets him up. It made her smile gently with hope as he shows still got some level headed-ness and some kindness still. Asriel walks down the hall as he gets to his room. He quickly found him self staring at the ceiling, his head felt like it was spinning as he keeps picturing Vara's friend falling, then hitting the ground below… were there rocks? Was it water down there? The images that keep appearing grow only more and more disturbing as he felt his stomach turn further.

He was fighting these images as much as part of him wanted to enjoy it, it was making him feel so ill. Then… everything slowed for his thoughts as the next wave of images were not Vara and his friend… It was him and Frisk. His eyes widen as he saw the fall, the slow decent as rocks below grow closer. He snapped his eyes shut for a moment before he rolled over with a loud thud and grabs his small trashcan next to his bed.

He coughs and hacks loudly as he loses his little lunch. His loud roll over from moments before must have alerted someone as a knock came on his door. "Asriel!? Are you okay?! I'm coming in!" Toriel's voice echos as she opens the door and comes in to see him hurling a second time. She rushes to his side as she looks around before slowly rubbing his back. The only thing she could do… "Oh dear… Its okay, don't fight it…" She says calmly, letting Asriel to let it run its course as best as he can.

By the time the third hurl it was mostly dry, His eyes tearing as no matter what he couldn't lose her face in his mind… no matter what he saw during all this from this disgusting feeling… Frisk… never stopped smiling. Asriel never really saw Frisk down, and suddenly that is scaring him…

'S-She lied to us right?! W-Why can't we recall a single time she was truly sad till now! T-There is no way she… she actually was toughing it out for us… S-She used us… right?' Asriel screams in his head, his throat burning, his nostrils felt like someone lit them aflame. His fur felt disgusting and the smell… He couldn't stop the tears. A part of him kept echoing quietly in his head.

'Sorry.' It was half an hour later that he finally was no longer in his state. However Toriel told him to stay here as she knew he was physically drained from this. She left and then soon returned with a bowl, three towels, and some water for him. Cleaning him up so he could rest as Toriel cleans his fur around his face, while one towel rests around his neck to help him cool off a little. Once done she lets him slowly sip on some water to ease his burning throat.

"T-Thank you mom." Asriel says as he sniffles a little. She gives him a small hug and smiles weakly at him.

"Any time my child, I am just glad your feeling a bit better. Why did you get so sick all of a sudden?" Toriel asks worried for his health.

"I… I don't know." Asriel says, not wanting to speak of the images he saw. "But I feel much better now, maybe it was just a little too much hair got in my stomach…" He says trying to play it off. Toriel nods as she picks up the bowl and stands up.

"Perhaps. Take it easy for now okay? I will be back in just a moment to take that trashcan out and clean it." She says letting Asriel lean against his bed. He takes a deep breath as he focuses on relaxing his tense muscles. Toriel leaves the room, as she walks into the living room she bumps into Caroline whom gasps in surprise.

"Oh I'm sorry Tori." Caroline says stepping back and letting her senior mother go through before following her. "Is everything alright?" She asks following Toriel whom frowns.

"No, Asriel might be sick. First he didn't eat all of his lunch and then I hear a thud and find him hurling into his bed-side trashcan." Toriel says with a frown. Caroline could only show her sympathy as she knew that seeing her child sick was not at all enjoyable.

"Despite how much of a jerk. I hope he gets better. Really Tori, I hope everything works out." Toriel smiles knowing now how Caroline was, she was straight forward, but kind and honest.

"I know, Thank you Caroline." Toriel says as she places down the bowl. "I will be back I need to get that trashcan from Asriel's room before it stains the room all day." Caroline chuckles slightly as she steps away from Toriel allowing her to rush back. Soon Toriel was back and after setting the trashcan away for the moment she takes a seat in one of the recliners in the living room as Caroline takes a seat on the couch next to her.

"Sorry about earlier, its been… a stressful week." Toriel shakes her head.

"Yes it has, and you have nothing to be sorry about. Everyone gets that way sometimes, I used to anyways… I guess I have become too used to how the world is despite how hopeful for the better." Toriel says. The two mothers let out a sigh, the sound of thunder roars as they look up towards the window. In the gentle fading light snow begins to fall slowly.

"This storm, doesn't feel normal does it…" Caroline asks as Toriel shakes her head.

"No. No it does not… we best keep everyone clear minded, I fear its a bad omen." Toriel replies. "Shall we start planning dinner, I made lunch lighter than usual, hopefully Asriel will have an appetite again by the time its done." Toriel says standing up.

"Dinner huh? Sounds like a plan what you thinking tonight?" Caroline asks, before following Toriel's lead into the kitchen.

"I was actually going to see if you had any meals you always wanted to make… perhaps Frisk would enjoy that." Toriel says turning around to see a sigh that made her froze. Caroline was staring at her with wide eyes and a massive and yet unnaturally so at that smile that Toriel suddenly could only picture as the face of pure excitement and joy.

"Really?!" Caroline squeals with delight. "I am so on board, come with me Toriel! To day we make a personal favorite of mine; Sweet and spicy chicken curry!" Caroline says with a large smile as she turns to Toriel. "And for desert… will be my mother's award winning recipe." Caroline says as Toriel feels like she just wandered into the craziest dinner that would be made.

'She really never had a chance to make a dinner for her family, haha she really needed this.' Toriel smiles at her friend as the two get to work. Egel and Asgore whom came by shortly after to investigate the interesting smell coming from the kitchen. Asriel whom had passed out found himself sniffing the air as he wakes up to try and stand.

He blinks as he looks at the window next to him; it was dark now outside and the storm was finally starting. Thunder roars gently as he goes to investigate the kitchen to see almost everyone was in there gathering at the table. He blinks as he looks around at everyone staring at the food being placed on to the table. He takes a big breath through his nose, the smell was sweet with a mouth watering hint of spiciness. He had to resist licking his lips at the smell as he looks at the cooks; Caroline and Toriel.

"What is for dinner?" He asks as Caroline turns with a smile and points at him with a ladle.

"Sweet and spicy chicken curry!" She says with glee. Asriel blinks as he felt slightly uncomfortable with her looking at him with so much joy right now. He knew he deserved her ire… so this was unexpected.

'Oookay… That is unsettling for some odd reason. I wasn't really eager to eat again either, but this is definitely I something I want to try.' Asriel thinks as he sits and notices that Frisk wasn't here… it felt wrong. He glances around before standing up.

"Everything okay Asriel?" Toriel asks as she notices Asriel leaving as everyone was still staring at the food or busy cooking.

"Yeah, I just thought that… Frisk should atleast know dinner is almost ready." Caroline froze, she almost wanted to take the spot, but this was would undermine Asriel's opportunity to prove he can be forgiven.

"I… Well are you sure you want to; I don't want you to get angry again…" Asriel blinks and frowns.

"I… know I haven't been the best of moods. I promise I won't yell tonight or let my anger get to me." He responds as he walks to the stairs and then up them. Toriel and Caroline were both smiling, as were the three men, and one nimbat whom were all at the table.

Asriel takes a deep breath as he knocks on the door. "Frisk? You awake?" He calls out. He hears a slight mumble as he opens the door. A rock formed in his gut as he saw Frisk without the tint of anger in his eyes from her mirror he could see everything as she stares out the window. Her left side of her face was bandaged up, just barely letting her have her mouth and nose. Her arms on both had no less than five different bruises each one in a different size. Her skin was pale and hair was greasy.

'W-What the… is this, my fault…' He thinks as he sees her turn to him to face him directly, her golden visible eye was almost dull and bleak. It felt so… lifeless.

"A-Asriel?" She quietly mumbles as he nods.

"Yeah… its me. Hey uh… listen I know you want to talk I do. Can we talk after dinner atleast? Everyone is waiting and… your mom I think is head chef so… won't you atleast try it?" Asriel says trying to find his words. He felt the desire to say much crueler words however he was going to make sure he didn't. He promised he wouldn't be so angry or yell. Frisk slowly turns to the floor and stares at the floor, Asriel looks at her with a frown as he turns and paces a few times. He sighs as he looks at her. "Look, I am…" He lets out a sigh as he takes another deep breath. "I promise to talk with you okay? What every you want to tell me you can, I will listen, any question…" He says again as he sees her looking up at him.

"O-Okay. H-Help P-Please?" Frisk quietly says, Asriel felt the urge again to snarl as he looks at her legs to see more bruises. He walks up to her and offers her his back as he squats down.

"Yeah sure thing." He says looking back at her. She slowly stands and stumbles onto his back. It took a few more minutes before he was seen walking down the stairs. "Sorry, took a moment to get her to come down." He says as he brings her to the table, across from where he was sitting. Caroline helps Frisk off his back as no one says a thing, just letting the moment exist. Asriel moves back to his seat.

It wasn't no longer than a minute before dishes were being put out. Once everyone had gotten theirs Caroline gives a small stand with her drink in hand. "Before we begin eating, I want to dedicate this meal to friend and family; This is my first meal for my family… I want to thank Toriel for giving me this opportunity." Asriel then understood why she was so happy… She never got to make a dinner for a family. A true first dinner where it was enjoyed by every member of the family. He felt like he was intruding as everyone looks to their plate.

"Everyone ready to dig in? Lets eat!" Caroline says before grabbing her spoon and digging in. Asriel looks at the plate before him, he could see it was properly portioned for everyone to enjoy. He grabs a spoon and takes his first bite. His eyes widen as a sweetness then a punch of a spice comes through his eyes shine with excitement as he starts chow down even faster, and he wasn't the only one as was Egel and Asgore as the three ate like they havn't tasted something so good before.

"Hey you two better not be saying my food is bad!" Toriel says seeing the reaction of her ex and son.

"The sweetness! The spiciness! Its such a delicious combo!" The two males say in return, getting a chuckle out of Toriel. Everyone always had that meal at one point they couldn't resist, and Asriel must have been starving as well so she will give him a pass, however her ex… she knew he was just pigging out on some good food with a chuckle she goes back to eating.

As the dinner goes on and everyone finishes their plates, for Asriel it was two plates. Caroline was happen Frisk managed to finish her plate as well. She hears a ding as Caroline stands and moves to the oven.

"Alright who is ready for dessert!" Everyone besides Toriel blinked in confusion as the opens, the room is filled with a cinnamon scent followed by fresh apples and a hint of cherries. Asriel felt his mouth water and he looks up at the direction of the scent. Caroline pulls out a tray of three sizeable pies as she places them down on the counter. Asriel curiously turns to Frisk to see her lone eye sparkling as a bit of drool forms at her mouth staring at the pies. He saw his mother also staring at the pies with interest.

"When we made filling I didn't expect it to smell so good after baking!" Toriel says. Asgore was not against it he was one of the few not so entranced in the smell. A loud wooshing noise was made as Egel's tail was wagging as he tried to keep a calm face.

"Seems like mr. royalty is eager for some for sure haha." Caroline jokes as she starts to slicing up a few slices. Asriel and Frisk both took a slice as they stare at it then at Caroline whom rolls her eyes. "Don't wait for me to say something you brats, dig in." Caroline says watching the two teens dig in to the. A sweetness with a hint of tartness through out, a cherry flavor that lingers enticing another bite to enjoy a bite of apple inside. The soft crust just breaks apart with bits of cinnamon in them and a hint of cherry juice that soaked into it.

It was a meal to remember as everyone enjoyed. Frisk was looking a little better after eating, she was a little more active in her actions. She was still quiet but she ate and that a start. Afterwards everyone started to leave to bed. Caroline and Toriel were cleaning dishes as Asriel was leaning back in his chair after eating a second slice of pie. Frisk gave a slight murmur of words, that everyone could only assumed she wanted more still.

"No more tonight, your going to make yourself sick if you eat too much sweet and spicy foods." Frisk mumbles before everyone chuckles. "Frisk, please go wash up before bed tonight…" Frisk mumbles again. "No. Go wash up, don't give me any sass young lady." Caroline says, Frisk groans as she tries to stand Asriel sits up.

"You sure your okay to walk now Frisk?" He asks, Frisk looks up at him and gently nods. "Okay, be careful then." He says as he stretches his legs. He heads to his room as he thinks about the soon conversation. He had to try, he promised after all. He hears the water turn on above, Frisk is in the bathroom washing up like Caroline asked as he takes a moment to breath. He was going to play nice at least till ritual. The echos of doubt linger as he looks to his desk, frowning. 'I shouldn't have done that…' He thinks as he sees the picture he torn a few days ago. Now however Frisk's face was burned off carefully. He walks over and picks up the picture as he places it down. He opens his right side drawer on his desk to reveal something he wasn't expecting… something that shouldn't be here.

Inside was a golden locket lying in the drawer. He slowly reaches in and picks it up. His hands shake as he opens the heart shaped locket revealing an old picture of Asriel… and Chara. 'How did this…' He looks back outside, Part of him wanted to wear it, but he shook that off. He left this at the underground. Why is it here?! He grips the locket and walks up to his window. Unlatching it and opening the window allowing a strong gust of wind blow things around his room. He pulls his arm back and throws with all his might. 'This shouldn't even be here!'He growls as it leaves his hand. An anger rises in him for doing that, but he ignores it as he closes the window. 'I leave that part of my life behind… I left it behind so Frsk wouldn't have to… So she wouldn't feel the need to try so hard. I wanted to make a new life here.' His inner voice quietly says.

'What the hell have I been doing? Why am I still so conflicted…' He mentally sighs as he hears the water stop. He looks to his door as he knows it will be a few more minutes before shes ready to talk. He takes another deep breath as he feels his nerves starting to get to him. He was worried how this was going to go. He had to atleast make it clear that hes not going to do anything till the ritual is over depending on the results.

A sharp inhale with a slow exhale as he takes a step out of his room. A feeling of uneasiness grows in his stomach as he moves through to the living room. It was quiet, glancing at the clock it was ten thirty, meaning everyone had already gotten ready or was getting in bed now. He walks quietly up the stairs and to Frisk's room. Giving a gentle knock as he waits for a reply.

"Come in." Came the slow reply from Frisk as he enters the room. She was staring out into the storm that started to grow stronger.

"I promised I would talk yeah? So what do you want to speak about Frisk?" Asriel asks as he feels a fury in his chest for being in here. He felt so much rage, anger, and hatred towards Frisk, however he wasn't going to act upon it. Especially not tonight…

"You lied to us…" Asriel hears in his head, however he sees Frisk let out a quiet sigh.

"Do… you truly hate me?" Asriel blinks as he was unsure what to say. Frisk's voice was not the same; she sounded broken.

'I… Oh gosh what have I done to Frisk?' Asriel thinks as her voice echos in his mind. The liveliness gone as he looks at her.

"Do you truly not want me around anymore?" Asriel still had no words. He wasn't sure what to say, he opens his mouth to speak, and like that something came over him as he slightly smirks.

"Why ask pointless questions like that? Of course I hate you, it would be easier with you gone. However I agreed to play nice for my mother's sake. Once I can prove who you truly are I will let everyone else cast you out. It will be fun to watch you fall apart." He says, his eyes widen mentally as he tries to force himself to take back his words.

'Wait what? No! No no no! THAT IS NOT WHAT I WANT TO SAY!' Asriel screams mentally as he watches Frisk slowly nod as she stares at the outside. He turns and smirks.

"Keep enjoying your 'family' I can't wait to see it crash. No one will believe you if you try to say I said anything after all, I am just being nice..." He says before he feels himself leaving her room. Another action he didn't want. Frisk however couldn't stop the tears as she waits for the door to close. Upon the door closing she slowly stands and stumbles towards the dresser as she looks at the mirror. She wanted to scream at him, however deep down she can't find the heart to do so; Hes been so cruel and hurtful… but she still loves him. Asriel isn't happy, and all she ever truly wanted was for him to be happy.

She once accepted death as a potential outcome, if it wasn't for then it is for now. She knew her mother and father would likely be unhappy, but she was happy to just get to meet them.

"Okay. I will… give you your freedom then…" Frisk quietly says as she looks down at some paper on her dresser as she looks for a pen or pencil.

Asriel meanwhile was walking downstairs as he bumps into Heltin whom was getting a glass of water.

"Oh hello there Asriel, Was your talk with Frisk enjoyable?" Heltin asks, getting a nod. Asriel 'calmly' smiles as he looks at the Ram.

"Yes. Quite so. What are you still doing up figured you would have been asleep already…" He asks as Heltin chuckles.

"I unfortunately have a bad habit of snoring so I drink extra water before bed to stay hydrated. Asriel I have to ask; is it okay if I see your soul…" Asriel was a bit off taken by his request as he looks at the monster. "I wish to see how Frisk had managed to save you is all." Asriel hums ans he shrugs and lets his soul project out of his body. Heltin places his water down and looks at the red soul. Asriel however was staring at his own soul with disbelief.

"As I expected Asriel, I just want to say that you shouldn't doubt so easily, You too are a Sio'ta after all, by every means your a true Sio'ta like Frisk and my mother. I hope you use your abilities to only do the best you can." Heltin says as he leaves. Asriel stares at the soul.

'I'm a Sio'ta by the same definition as Frisk?' Asriel goes to his room, his mind wandering as he thinks everything over. 'Frisk is a full Sio'ta, and Heltin just said that I am too… m-meaning that she… she couldn't have done what we assumed…' Asriel thinks as he sits on to his bed. He tries to close his eyes as he hears Frisk's voice along side a growing feeling of pain deep down.

"I would NEVER force Asriel to do anything, Never keep him from making his path!" Frisk's voice echos, when suddenly a loud crash comes from upstairs.

'That came from Frisk's room!' He snaps his eyes wide as he starts getting up another louder crash and a woosh then a slam of a door from upstairs, rushing out of his room and into the living room be for rushing up the stairs, Others started to stir as he heard Toriel's voice.

"Frisk? Asriel is everything alright? What was that noise!?" She calls out from her room downstairs. She must have saw his door was wide open. He rushes into Frisk's room as her door was blown wide open as strong winds blow into the house, a paper flies and lands on Asriel's chest. Pulling it back, his heart sinks as he throws the paper to the side, it lands the floor as he rushes in, Her mirror was shattered in the center as blood is on the mirror and dripped all over the dresser. His eyes and body rush to her window.

'No…' Glass was all over the roof and the floor, but he notices there is a sizeable amount missing, with some still in the way he clears the way before leaping out the window and landing in a very warm puddle, his right right foot was sitting in a warm, red, sticky puddle. His pupils shrink in fear as he pushes his body to move, he had no time to lose!

''Frisk couldn't have gotten far right?… RIGHT?!' He follows the trail fighting the strong winds as the storm begins to worsen further.

Every word he said, echos in his mind as his heart sinks at the possibility of Frisk dying. The blood trail was slowly vanishing in the heavy snow storm as he keeps on.

He needed to find her… he HAD to find her…

"Leave me alone, you damn freak." Asriel growls as he feels his trimmed claws press into his hand.

'No! Shes not a freak! She never used us! She protected us, she endured FOR US!' He screams back to the words in his head. He comes top a stop as Sans is standing ten feet before him, his eyes blank. This wasn't good.

"Do you truly, hate me?"Asriel shakes his head.

'No. Never. How can I hate the one person who gave me life at the risk of her own, gave me a second chance to be with my family.' He says to himself as he stares down Sans.

"Sans I don't have time for this, Fri-" He felt the tug of blue magic as it pulls him down he jumps up to dodge a set of bone shaped spikes jet out of the ground before receeding as Asriel lands and looks at Sans. He wasn't going to listen. The large skull of a massive hound creature appears, several of them as they block Asriel into a single spot as they slowly open and begin to glow. This wasn't good.

"Sans please! Frisk is going to die if someone doesn't help her!" He pleas as he hopes it gets through, however as they continue to glow he fears this may be it before a hand grabs him and leaps off as they fire off turning the spot he was standing into a scorch mark. Asriel looks at who grabbed his arm and it was…

"Heltin?!" The Ram nods as he places Asriel down and stands up formally and looks at Sans.

"Indeed, Mr. Windings Sans. I request you stop this action now least you end two lives tonight." Sans turns to Heltin whom casually changes his stance to a low spread out stance, eyes narrowing as he readies to fight. "Sans. This is my last warning, Stand down please. I do not wish to hurt Frisk's favorite uncle." Sans fists tighten as he turns. "Go Asriel," Heltin says as Heltin stands back up and walks to the skeleton whom stares at the few spots of blood he could still see.

"You better be right. Or I am going to make you regret it." Sans says. Heltin chuckles as he looks at the same spot as Sans.

"Do not worry, it will be alright… though I doubt you could take me Sans, I can feel your fragility. Atleast not in this form eh Mr. Wingdings…"

"How do you know?" Heltin smiles as he takes a big inhale of the cold air.

"I knew Gaster before you were born. And I knew your mother Lucida. I could tell you were their child the moment I laid eyes on you, though that form is a horrible disguise for how much you look like him truly." Sans chuckles weakly as his blank sockets continue to stare out.

"I hate that more than you can image."

Asriel rushes down the path, he could feel cold stone under his feet; he didn't have time to slip on shoes and he wasn't going to let it stop him from finding Frisk. He continues as he suddenly loses the sigh of the path entirely. Its been covered with the heavy snow fall. "Damn it!" He kicks some snow as he starts to pace back and forth. "How? How do I find her now?! I have to find her damn it!" He growls out as he kicks more snow hitting a rock and falling onto his backside.

"This way!" Asriel turns his head to a direction, he can't see anything but snow, however he had a strong pull from it. "We can't waste time Asriel… Frisk shes…" Asriel stands up and rushes in the direction, following the pull as he pictures the bruises on her arms and legs.

'I deserve so much done back, Hold on Frisk. I am not letting this happen anymore…'

Inside Asriel's mind a ruby eyed child with flushed cheeks stare down a Younger Asriel whom was holding two fireballs.

"I can keep going for as long as I need Chara. Be glad I can't kill you for real!" The young Asriel yells, Chara growls as he looks at Asriel's young mind fragment.

"Your ruining everything AGAIN!" Chara yells. "You never cared for my plans Asriel…" He says, Asriel scoffs as he looks at Chara with a stone cold glare.

"Your plans involved the death of EVERYONE, Mom, Dad, every Human and Monster would be dead!" Asriel screams as he throws another fireball, Chara dodges and then stabs him. Asriel growls as he flickers then reappears shortly after.

"HOW DO YOU KEEP COMING BACK?! YOU SHOULD BE GONE! HE SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO RESIST ME!" Chara yells as he feels another presence. A white skeleton face with two cracks on their face appears. A smile across their face as they look at Chara with a single glowing purple eye. Chara backs up as he sees the skeleton. "No! Your in the void!" Asriel stares in disbelief as the face turns and gives him a warm smile.

"G-G-Gaster…" Young Asriel says staring in disbelief.

Back with Asriel chasing down Frisk, he soon finds a newer blood trail not yet covered by the snow. However he notices how big these droplets of blood were now. 'Frisk, oh god why?! Why am I always doing stupid shit and getting people I care for hurt?!' He mentally cries before finding a park tree with Frisk lying underneath the tree wit her back to the tree. She was paler than ever before as Frisk rushes up. He spots a massive shard of glass buried deep into her side.

Her dim eyes look at Asriel as he looks around. He pulls his sweater off and begins to tear it as he positions it and places the arms of the sweater as a press, He grabs a sturdy nearby branch and prepares it to tighten the sweater before he realizes that the glass most definitely hit an artery. He drops what hes doing and growls. "D-DAMN IT NO! Frisk, don't close your eyes alright?! Keep them open. You'll make it don't worry." He says as he hears her mumble.

"W-Why…?" She mouths, he shakes his head.

"Because I messed up. I let my fear of the past become a horrible nightmare of my own creation!" He cries as he takes the sweater and tends to her other wounds. The blood around the glass was not easing up at all as he looks at her in fear. What could he do?!

He growls as he calls magic to his hands and starts to force it into the wound, thinking over and over of different healing thoughts. Hoping, praying… that one works. Time slows as he cries out.

"Please Frisk! Don't leave me!" He screams as a flash of light fills around them. A warmth fills Frisk as she sees Asriel's hands glow against her body as the glass is forced out before Asriel barely grabs it and pulls it all the way out. He forces more power as Frisk begins to her body healing further than just the glass, though not everything faded away. She looks to his face to see him smiling, but his eyes were dull and almost lifeless, Frisk's single eye widen.

"A-Asriel…?!" She cries out as she follows him as he rolls onto his back. Shes kneeling over as her eyes stare into his fading emerald eyes.

"I… Saved… you…" He says, her heart sank as he exhales.

Three days later, The day before school ceremony event.

A loud groan as a white furred young man opens his emerald green eyes to a familiar ceiling, he looks around to see he was in a room as a pressure on his chest snores slightly. He looks down to see Frisk's brown hair spread out as she was gently resting her head on his chest. Her head turns slightly as she slowly sits up, her golden eyes rise up to his emerald eyes, hers widen as she climbs out of bed.

"Moms! Hes awake!" Frisk yells as she shoves her head out of the door. Frisk turns back and moves to his side. "Its so good to see you awake again!" She cries out as she latches back onto his chest. Toriel and Caroline both came in with items as the two smile at him.

"Asriel, how are you feeling?" Toriel asks as she moves to Frisk's side and places a tray of food and drink next to him on the bed.

"I've felt better… what happened? Last I remember I kept pouring my magic into healing Frisk." Frisk nods as she sits up and looks at Asriel..

"You really want to know?" She says with a rather annoyed face. Asriel cautiously nods.

'I have a bad feeling about this…' He thinks as she deepens her expression to one of anger.

"You died! You jerk, I ran so you could be happy!" Asriel frowns as he looks at her.

"I am sorry alright? I didn't even want to say those things last time. I couldn't control myself." He responds, knowing how his words hit. She turns and makes a 'hmph' noise. Toriel smiles at the two.

"I guess we won't need to do the Ritual then?" Toriel asks, Asriel and Frisk look at each other and nod.

"We already agreed to do it…" Frisk starts, Asriel nods as he looks at his mother.

"...So we plan on doing it. This will be our way of starting anew." Asriel says as the two mothers looked at each other then nodded.

"Alrighty then." Caroline says as she smiles. "You two best rest up then and get ready. Because it at four, its not even eight yet so enjoy some rest. Asriel you definitely need more Rest." Caroline says as she turns. "Thank you, for saving my daughter." She says before leaving. Toriel smiles as she turns to leave.

"I love you both, please don't do that again." Toriel says, Frisk and Asriel look at each other, Frisk gives an 'eh about 50/50' expression despite knowing Toriel wasn't looking as she leaves. Once the two leaves, Asriel looks to the bed; hes been in Frisk's bed this whole time? He lets out a sigh.

"What happened? Seriously Frisk, I knew I was going to die then… I honestly really hate myself for how I was acting." Asriel says as his eyes stay locked on the bedding, not able to bring himself to face Frisk. He feels two hands pull his head to look him in the eyes, their eyes meet as she frowns.

Two nights ago...

"A-Asriel…?!" She cries out as she follows him as he rolls onto his back. Shes kneeling over as her eyes stare into his fading emerald eyes.

"I… Saved… you…" He says, her heart sank as he exhales. Frisk lowers her head to his chest, nothing…

"No… no no nononono!" She begins to try lift him up, her body struggling to pull him into her arms. She felt so helpless as she hugs onto his chest, his body limp as the snow continues to fall heavily, covering the two in the snow further.

"Asriel, please wake up!" She cries as she tries to stand, only to fall ontop of Asriel as her tears begin to fall.

"Hey I found them!" A voice yells out, Frisk turns to see Undyne whom's eye stares in disbelief. "Toriel get over here now!" She yells over the snow as she rushes to Frisk's side as she moves her. "Just let me help alright?" Undyne says getting Frisk to shakily nod. Undyne checks for a breath then pulse as she places her hands on the young goat's chest. "Come on don't let those first aid lessons Alphys gave me fail me now!" Undyne mumbles as she begins to give Asriel CPR to try and keep any possible chance around. Toriel rushes as Undyne forces some air into his body. Her eyes shake as Undyne snaps up.

"Toriel, we need to restart his heart now while we still have a chance." Toriel shakily nods as she sits next to Frisk, her hands spark with purplish sparks as she places her hands onto Asriel's chest. A loud pop is heard as his chest bounces up in compulsions. Undyne quickly checks his heart again and looks to Toriel as she repeats. This happens three times as the third causes a gasp of air to escape his mouth, This causes Undyne to quickly scoop him up. "Get Frisk and lets get out of here, They need to be out of the cold now!" Undyne shouts over the weather. Toriel nods.

"Lead the way, Come on Frisk." Toriel says as she pulls the teen off the snow floor and lifts her off the ground. Frisk was shaking in fear as she came back to her senses for the first time in the last twenty four hours. And all she saw was Asriel's lifeless eyes. Frisk held onto Toriel, and the mother could tell Frisk was not at all okay… She read the note;

"Dear family,

I have to say, this has been the best I could have asked for.

I have learned about myself, I learned about my mother and father.

I got to know what it is to have the warmth of a mother for several

amazing years. I got to know what it was like to have family to be

with.

I got to know what it was to love, what it meant to truly love

someone, and have that love returned, even if only for a moment.

Don't treat Asriel unfairly, hes had a rough life. I am sure,

that this is from something deep down from when he and Chara

spent all their time together for its terrible end.

Thank you for everything.

With love,

Frisk."

Toriel knew then she had to get out there and called everyone to get out there. Undyne was out there before she even knew, said self-appointed older sister, mentioned briefly when she bumped into her that she knew that something was wrong and was coming to check in. Toriel was glad to have said woman whom puts more heart and soul into protecting people than she cares to admit. Why else would someone keep improving themselves beyond normal means.

Present time…

"And then… I sorta stayed in here as its my fault you did that." Asriel shakes his head at Frisk.

"I screw up and yet somehow you blame yourself. Only you I swear…" He says as he leans back. "Thanks… though I don't really deserve it…" He says glancing at one of remaining bruises on Frisk's arm. She notices and frowns.

"Don't. Those are not your fault." Frisk says looking away. "I had a bit of a fit and ending up beating myself up while you were out. I gave both of our moms a scare." Frisk says refusing to look him in the eyes. Asriel weakly takes his arm as he pulls her gaze to him.

"Please don't do that again Frisk, I am not worth bruising yourself over. Especially for when I hit your eye the way I did. I hope its feeling better…" Frisk smiles as she winks with her left eye.

"Perfectly fine." She replies before standing up. "Can you situp again Asriel? We should get some food in you." Frisk says moving to his right and climbs onto the bed as she picks up the tray. Asriel nods as he slowly sits up. Being fed by someone felt weird. Asriel didn't want to, but his arms were too shaky to use the utensils himself. He might even add in the fact that its Frisk, the girl he loves, the girl he admittedly abused by all the means into suicide. He really felt like he should be getting beat up for her undying kindness towards him.

"So…" Asriel tries to find what to talk about as Frisk smiles at him.

"So, what are you doing later after the Ritual?" Asriel blinks as he turns his head to see Frisk smiling at him.

"Uh.. I don't know why?" He asks as she lets out a small chuckle.

"Well… I could use a nice nap, maybe watch a movie?" Frisk says getting Asriel to blink as he looks at her window, the color of the inner frame was different, he knew the window was broken… He blinks as he looks at her.

"We are sharing a room for a while arn't we?" Frisk chuckles as she nods.

"That and I was hoping we could make it a nice… little celebratory date?" Frisk asks, getting a frown from Asriel.

"Frisk I…" She shakes her head.

"Please don't say you don't know if you deserve a second chance or something like that. We both know our feelings, I don't want to lose you again Azzy." Frisk says getting Asriel to look at her with a gentle smile.

"Was my thoughts that obvious?" He asks, Frisk chuckles as she looks at him.

"That should be my line…" She replies before sighing. "Seriously though Asriel, if you want to make it up to me… just take me on a really good date when you figure it out. Till then I am quite fine for asking for some quality time at home. If you will accept…" Frisk says smiling at Asriel whom rolls his eyes.

"Yeah yeah, I don't really get much of a choice. Lets try not to let things get too crazy though…" Frisk nods in agreement. "Sorry about your window, but it was either we share your room… or my room, and your room kinda smells like vomit for some reason." Frisk says, Asriel groans. Of course it still stinks.

"Yeah my bad, I had a small stomach bug the other day…" Asriel says as he nods. "Alright, after the ritual. We will watch a movie and have a nap." Asriel's smile rests on his face finished eating the two both lie down, Frisk couldn't resist snuggling him, not that he could fight back anyways.

The two rested well as soon it became time for the Ritual, the two participants washed up and dressed in casual warm clothing as the two go outside and out back into the small woodland area behind the house. Asriel after resting and a quick check up from Toriel was up an about easily, and thankfully too, as he really didn't want to accept Frisk's offer of giving him a piggy back ride.

Heltin stands with a small stand with several colorful gems in it. The two walk up as Heltin lights the stand and have them stare at each other through the flames as the first gem rolls in it flashes blue as the gem was. The two both find themselves even deeper into the stare as small strands begin to form around them, each strand looked like a red yarn string with a gentle red glow. The second gem rolls in as the blue flames churn to a bright magenta color.

Frisk and Asriel's eyes droop together as they close the two take a deep breath before slowly exhaling through their mouths. The two soon find themselves in their own little world as everyone watches as threads vanish with each color change. Soon there is one thread around them fades as the two look at each other. They both nod as they stand and turn.

"Well?" Toriel calls out. She felt something was off.

"Hmm Frisk should we?" Asriel asks looking away, hiding his smirk on the left side of his face away from everyone. Frisk hiding the same on her right side.

"I don't know, you did hit me pretty hard. You were also pretty damn rude." Frisk says scoffing.

"You weren't the nicest either with that letter or trying to kill yourself." Asriel says as the two hmph at each other.

Everyone was confused as Toriel didn't recall anything like this before… did something go wrong?

"Ah what the hell, come here." Frisk says turning and rushes around the flame that slowly dies out as she hugs Asriel from behind whom gives a chuckle and turns to everyone with a smile and a shrug. Everyone blinks in confusion till Asriel sticks his tongue out some getting a groan from Toriel.

"Don't you dare give us a scare like that! I feared you two would start fighting again!" Toriel screams out at the two from her spot.

"Oh calm down it was a joke, though that does sound like a plan…" Frisk says as she gets a gentle bonk on the head from Asriel her head to his side.

"Frisk don't be mean to mom. Shes had enough trouble for one month." Asriel says getting Frisk to nod. Toriel and the group walks up as Caroline smirks.

"Alright, now that is done you better be ready cause we got places to be tomorrow." Caroline says, getting the two to look at the mother fox. Caroline's smile grows as she looks at the two. "School opening ceremony is tomorrow evening, And we got to get you both some clothes and supplies before that! So we are getting up early in the morning." Frisk and Asriel blinked. Frisk frowns as she hugs Asriel.

"No!" Everyone blinks.

"Frisk…"

"No! Same classes!"

"Frisk there is no-."

"No!"

Toriel starts to chuckle as she walks up to the two. "Don't worry Frisk, I will talk to the principle tomorrow and find out what I need to do to make sure you share classes." Frisk smiles as she hugs onto Asriel, whom chuckles at his perdiciment. "I got to say, while this is what I was expecting at first; Shes very…" Asriel nods.

"Yeah, after seeing all that… shes kinda gone into some sort guardian mode on me from what I can understand." Asriel says as he turns his glance to Egel standing behind Caroline. Glaring at him. "Next time Egel unless you can explain it, this goes for you too Nana. Best keep quiet." He says, Nana peaks from behind Egel and ducks when she hears her name.

The group soon returns home, Asriel dragged to Frisk bed where she snuggled his chest. So far everything seemed to go back to normal.

AN; And finished with this chapter; I found my self procrastinating more than hating this. I really guess I don't like writing these kinds of scenes very well;

I have a few final scenes for you to enjoy, non cannon alternate scenes. Here is one of them;

Scene 44; Mission failed… successfully?

Frisk looks up at the rope hanging from the ceiling, she starts to climb up her chair when shes loses balance, She falls back as the chair somehow smashes into her dresser mirror causing a loud crash, she rubs her head as she bumps it on the bedframe to see the rope get tangled up in her ceiling fan which turned on after her slip.

Right then Asriel comes rushing in to see what the comotion is about as the fan is ripped from the ceiling; seeing it about to hit Frisk he leaps and grabs her before they end up on the ground with him on top of her. Eyes locked as they pant as the ceiling fan crashes into the bed. A voice could be heard as they look to the door to see Caroline staring at them.

"I… Oh I get it now! This is a hate-sex thing ain't it." Their eyes widen.

"MOM!"

"Come now Frisk nothing to be embarrassed about; hey looking at Asriel; I bet he gives some real good rough fun huh?" Frisk's face flushes even further as she grabs a nearby pillow. Asriel looks down and notices their position as he sits up and looks away. "Oh don't break it up! Here let me close the door, you two have fun… remember to use protection; its a bit soon to be a grandmother!" Caroline says as both deepen

"LEAVE US ALONE MOM!" Frisk screams as she throws a pillow at her mother for it be blocked by a door and a howl of laughter coming from Caroline as she leaves. Asriel however was blushing as this did not end up like he was expecting. In any fashion. Frisk looks to Asriel notices something as her blush deepens. "Your turned on?!" She groans as she lies on her back. She turns to the side where a camera was and a fox-dragon man was holding his laughter.

"THOSE BETTER NOT STILL BE RECORDING MEZAMETA!" She screams in fury as she looks at the camera crew.

Scene end
