"It's now time that we start the second match of the semi-finals! Who will he Yukina's opponent in the final round?! Will it be Cray or Raika?!" M.C. announced as the next duel was set to begin. The two of them marched out on the field. It's as if two great destructive forces are about to face each other to see which one was stronger.
'That was a nice little story that Taiyo shared, but that has nothing to do with me. I couldn't care less about any of that stuff he spouted.' Cray thought. 'To me, Raika is just another opponent for me to defeat. Once I get done with him, I can head straight for Yukina and settle the score with her.' The only thing Cray really cares about is defeating Yukina, but he has to beat Raika to do that. At this point, that's fine with the others as long as Raika is defeated. Speaking of which, they all took to the stands to watch this duel.
"Do you guys really think Cray can take on Raika?" Henry questioned.
"He better. If Raika is defeated, all of the Black Ace's plans come crashing down." Sylvia said.
"There's no question about it! Cray is going to win against Raika and then against Yukina!" Kent claimed.
"Come on, Cray. Win this." Yukina said. The two of them stared each other down and were both anxious for this fight.
"I've got to admit that I'm a little excited for this one. You actually have some fierce power." Raika claimed. "I like that look in your eyes, confident in your skill without question. I wonder how it will look when you realize you can't win."
"You don't scare me." Cray said. "I am going to beat you! No question about it! Once I do, I'm heading for the finals to face Yukina!"
"You must be kidding. You defeat me?" Raika taunted. "You clearly have no idea what you're up against, but you'll find out soon enough!" He said as he got his duel disk ready. "If you want to run, this is your last chance."
"I don't run! You're going down!" Cray said as he got his duel disk ready. "Let's get started already!"
"So let's duel!" Both of them said as they were starting just like that and wanted to skip to it.
"What?! They're starting before I could even give the signal?! Oh boy." The second semi-final match was now starting with both of them now having 4000LP. People are gonna want to hang on their seats for this one.
"I'm going first!" Raika said as he made the first move. "I'll start by summoning Malice Ghoul to the field!" He said as he summoned out his ghoul with it having 1000atk points. "When one is summoned to the field, I can summon the second one that's in my deck!" He said as a second one came out. "Don't bother using any affects against them! As long as I have two, they're both unaffected by your cards! I'm also going to place two cards facedown and that ends my turn!"
"That's it? I was expecting more out of you!" Cray said. "It's my turn now! I draw!" He said as he was putting everything he has out there. "I'm gonna start by summoning my Gale Drone!" His drone flew out to the field with it having 1100atk points. "But I'm scraping this thing so that I can summon Twisted Tempo to the field!" Twisted Tempo flew out on the field with it having 2000atk points. "And I'm willing to bet one of your face-downs is something that will protect both of your weaklings, so let's blow one of them away! I activate Mystical Space Typhoon!" With the power of his spell, one of Raika's face-downs was destroyed and it was his Fiend's Oppression trap. "Now let's really turn up the wind! I activate my Tornado Valley field spell!" He said and that was surrounded by tornados. "Thanks to this, your dark monsters will lose power while my wind monsters gain it!" He said as Twisted Tempo's power increased to 2400.
"Did you forget that both of my ghouls are unaffected by your cards?" Raika said.
"No, but that only applies to both of them being on the field. Now let's have some fun! Twisted Tempo, destroy one of them!" Cray ordered. His monster went straight on the attack and smashed against one of the ghouls. Not only was it destroyed, but Raika's power dropped to 2600. "With that one ghoul gone, you can say goodbye to some of your power!" He said as the second ghoul's power dropped to 600. "I think that's enough punishment for now."
"You think that was punishment? I'll show you punishment!" Raika said as he drew his next card. "I can summon this monster by tributing just one Malice monster! I summon Malice Fiend!" He said as he traded away his remaining ghoul and summoned out his fiend with it having 2600atk points.
"Nice try, but my field spell weakens your monster since it isn't a wind monster!" Cray said as Malice Fiend's power dropped to 2200.
"That isn't going to stop me! I activate Doom Gaze to lower your monster's power by 500!" Raika said as he played a card that unleashed some dark power and lowered Twisted Tempo's power down to 1900. "Malice Fiend, attack!" His fiend flew straight at it and slashed its claws against Cray's monster. It was destroyed and Cray's life points ended up dropping to 3700.
"If that's all you got, you'll never beat me!" Cray said.
"Someone is in a hurry to lose." Raika teased. "After my Malice Fiend destroys a monster, I get to draw one card!" He said as he drew another card. "I think I'll end my turn there."
"My turn!" Cray said. "Let me show you how it's really done! I'll show you what real power looks like! I activate Eye of Hurricane! This spell allows me to summon any wind monster I want, but I'll end up taking damage equal to its attack points. I summon Storm Dragon!" Cray, being unafraid of what might happen, summoned out his fierce dragon as it emerged through a twister and unleashed a mighty roar with 3000atk points. When his dragon emerged, Cray's life points dropped all the way to 700.
"That was stupid! Why would you summon a monster like that when you lost so many life points?!" Raika said.
"All to defeat you!" Cray said. "Yukina's waiting for me in the finals! I'll defeat you so I can defeat her! Nothing is going to stop me from doing that! Just watch as Storm Dragon grows stronger!" He said as Storm Dragon's power increased to 3400. "Storm Dragon, tear this guy apart with Tempest of Destruction!" His dragon unleashed its devastating power as it blasted Malice Fiend and the wind tore it apart with Raika's life points dropping to 1400.
"Look at them down there! They're going at each other with such tenacity!" Sylvia said.
"Cray isn't going to let himself be outdone. He's not one to hold anything back." Yukina said. "Cray's dueling spirit is burning and will only stop when it can't burn anymore. Until then... Well, I say we better hold on to something."
"You're coming at me pretty hard, but I say you're all talk. Your bark is worse than your bite." Raika taunted.
"You think so? Try saying that when my dragon isn't ready to crush you." Cray claimed. "I told you that I have to defeat you so I can defeat Yukina in the finals!"
"Yukina? Give me a break!" Raika said. "I heard how you've never been able to defeat her! If you can't beat her, there's no way you'll be able to defeat me! This trap should prove that! I activate Arcane Mimic! By sending a spell card from my deck to the graveyard, I can use it's affects as if it was this card! I'll just have to send this trap to the graveyard on my next turn. I'll choose my Tribute to the Doom!" He said as he sent that card to the graveyard.
"You think I can't beat you! I'I place two cards facedown and end my turn!" Cray said. "Now come! Show me what you've got!"
"You asked for it!" Raika said as he drew his card. "Just don't say you weren't warned! I activate the effects of Arcane Mimic! By sending this trap to the graveyard, I can use the effects of the spell I discarded! That means I can use the power of Tribute to the Doom! By sending discarding a card from my hand, I can get rid of your Storm Dragon! Say goodbye!" Cray's best monster was about to be destroyed and there was nothing Cray could do. A series of bandages came out of the ground and wrapped around Cray's dragon. With power surging through it, Cray's best monster ended up destroyed. Yukina and the others couldn't believe that just happened.
"You think you got rid of my dragon? Think again!" Cray called. "I activate Collapse Summon! By sending a card on my field to the graveyard, this trap allows me to bring back a card that's already in there! I'm getting rid of my field spell to bring back my dragon!" Cray did exactly that. He got rid of his field spell. That might have gotten the wind to stop blowing, but it allowed his dragon to emerge out of the ground. "There's no way you're taking down my dragon!"
"Is that right? I wouldn't be so sure if I were you!" Raika said. "I want that power of yours and I plan to take it! I activate Dark Soul Reincarnation! By taking two Malice monsters in my graveyard and removing them from play, I can bring out the big dog! My two Malice Ghouls don't help me in the graveyard, so I'll get rid of them to summon out Malicious Fiend: Life Destroyer!" Raika removed his two monsters and summoned out his own ace. Life Destroyer emerged on the field with it having 3000atk points. This is going to be quite a show as these two titans are about to clash. "Life Destroyer, feed on their power! Take every bit you can! By doing that, Life Destroyer will take half of your monster's attack points!"
"That ain't happening once I activate Tornado Defense!" Cray said as his trap activated and a tornado came around and blocked his dragon off from Life Destroyer. "It's no good this time! You can't target my dragon with effects and my dragon can't be destroyed in battle this turn. Therefor, it's pointless for you to try anything! You'll just send Life Destroyer to it's own demise if you attack!"
"You think you're so smart." Raika said as he was annoyed. "Fine, take your turn, but it will be your last!"
"This is it! Cray has no other cards in his hand! He needs to draw something that can bring Life Destroyer down or it's all over!" Yukina said.
"It's my turn!" Cray said as he drew his next card with all of them hoping it would be enough to defeat Life Destroyer. "Just good enough! I'm activating the Big Bang Shot equip spell! This spell will give Storm Dragon just enough power to destroy Life Destroyer!" He said as Storm Dragon's power increased to 3400. "Storm Dragon, unleash all your power! Show him why we're stronger! Tempest of Destruction!" Cray was putting all of his power into this attack as he thought this would do it. His dragon answered to that as it generated all the power it could and unleashed a devastating attack. The attack blasted against Life Destroyer and caused a vicious explosion. Raika got hit hard by the attack as his life points dropped to 1000. "That will show you! Say goodbye to your best card!"
"You don't honestly think that was it, did you?!" Raika said. They all thought it was, but Life Destroyer was still standing.
"What happened?!" Cray said.
"Your attack did get through, but I was one step ahead." Raika said. "The card I discarded earlier was Malice Necromancer." He said as the ghost of a dark cloak figured with a demonic face appeared behind him. "By removing this card from my graveyard, I can instantly resurrect the monster you destroyed." That means Cray just lost his only chance to destroy Life Destroyer. "That means...it's over!" He called as he was surrounded by a dark aura and power was beginning to build. Cray's turn ended since he had nothing left and Raika started his.
"This looks bad! Everyone, vacate the area!" M.C. announced as he knew what was coming and everyone were trying to run for their lives.
"Life Destroyer, absorb all their power and finish this!" Raika called. The situation grew worst as Life Destroyer grabbed a hold of Life Dragon and tried to drain power out of it.
"You think that will stop me! No way! I won't back down!" Cray shouted as he was going to fight to the very end. The two of them were fighting with everything they have as neither one was backing down. As a result, it caused a massive explosion to go off that greatly damaged the entire arena. Yukina and the others tried to endure the shockwaves.
"Cray! What happened?!" Kent called.
"Cray!" Yukina called as they all dived down and tried to get to the field. They hurried to where Cray was standing. He was still on his feet and that looked good. "Cray!" She rushed right to his side, but he was simply standing. He had a blank look in his eyes and wasn't doing anything. All of them saw him like that and were horrified to see him like that.
"No... No!" Kent cried as he dropped to his knees. "That's... That's not... It's just not..." Kent didn't want to admit it to be true, but it was. Cray lost and all of his power was stolen. They all turned and saw Raika was radiating with dark power and laughing like a maniac. Raika is a force that just can't seem to be stopped.
