Chapter 65, End of the year
The last week of the year was surprisingly peaceful compared to everything else that had happened throughout the year.
The students was packing their bags to go home and see their families, some of them was leaving Duel Academy for the last time and they would be heading out into the world.
There was of course some students who was staying at the academy for the holidays, they would be spending this time having a much needed break from school life.
Robin was at the docks with Alexis, the two of them was saying goodbye to Atticus who was going home to see his parents after so long of being missing.
"Are you sure that you want to go Atticus, Mum and Dad was willing to act like you never existed" asked Alexis, she was staying at the academy, she had no desire to see her parents again after what had happened between them.
"Hey, their still our parents, you should really try and put what happened behind you" said Atticus, Alexis didn't look forgiving at all, "Or not" said Atticus not wanting to provoke his sister.
"I hope things go well once you get home" said Robin, "So do I, I hope my room's still the same" said Atticus, despite Atticus's smile her was in reality very nervous about seeing his parents again.
Zane had boarded a boat quietly and with out anyone seeing him, he had finished with Duel Academy and was ready to continue his journey as a professional duellist.
It surprised a lot of people that Jaden was one of the ones who was leaving for the holidays, "Jaden, I would have thought that you'd want to stay and continue duelling the others" said Syrus who was on a boat with his bags packed.
Jaden looked over the side of the boat at Robin who was still talking to Atticus, "I'd love to stay, but not while he's here" he said, Syrus sighed e hoped that a long break might help Jaden get over his anger at Robin.
Bastion was also on a boat going home, but no one really noticed him.
Alexis hugged her brother, "Just be safe, I don't want to come looking for you again" she said, "No worries, I'm not leaving my little sister a second time, I'll be back next year" said Atticus.
"Your coming back" said Robin surprised, "Of course, I've still got to finish school" said Atticus with a big grin, Alexis smiled "Good, I'll be able to keep an eye on you" she said.
Atticus boarded a boat and soon the students was away leaving only a handful on the island.
Now alone Robin turned to Alexis, "So, about what happened before my duel with Zane" he started, Alexis blushed "Yeah, about that" she said.
The two was silent for a few seconds, "Do you want to just see where this goes" asked Robin, "Yeah, we do have the whole holiday to work this out" said Alexis.
The two smiled to each other and wondered what next year would bring.
