Chapter four

Soifon's P.O.V*

Green orbs glared after the bartender " Creepy bastard!" Erin muttered once the door was completely shut causing Soifon to chuckle at her friend, walking over to the computer and sat down in the chair to be more comfortable why they looked at the cameras, Erin placed her hand on the back of the chair and her other hand on the desk beside Soifon.

" Let's go back all the way to last Friday to prove that she does come on the day, and then we can look at the other footage and keep one of them open so we can see what is going on in the bar just encase she comes a day early." Erin replied as she helped Soifon get through the files to where they needed to be.

Soifon did what the brunette was telling her step by step" We're in." The raven-haired woman whispered as she played the video footage on last Friday at the time that Becca was supposed to be in the bar. Both women eyes glued to the screen as they watched a lot of people move about in the screen, but there wasn't anyone that they were looking for.

It's been about a few hours since the two women was sitting and watching the footage. Leaning in her seat Soifon frowned hoping that they weren't being led to a dead end, her stomach started to growl throughout their waiting game. She heard Erin sigh with frustration " I hope we find something soon, I'm getting hungry!" The brunette replied iteration creeping in her tone.

Soifon opened her mouth to reply to her friend's remark, but something had gotten her attention on the camera, learning forward in her chair, tapping Erin on the arm to get her to get a closer look at the computer. Both women watched the video footage closer to see a woman that looked like their suspect in a the footage.

Both of them let out a sigh of relief they finally got what they wanted now they can go to the next step of their plan. Erin got up from her chair that she ended up sitting in through the last three hours they were here" Lets get out of here and inform Hank!" Helping Soifon out of her chair.

The raven-haired was glad that they can leave this hell hole, but knew they would have to be back here tomorrow, she looked at the clock to check the time it was now getting late, and as if Erin can read her thoughts" But we can inform Hank and the rest tomorrow morning, right now let's go to Molly's and get something to eat." The brunette said pulling the door of the back room open and let Soifon walk out first.

An hour has passed sense they left the bar now they were at Molly's getting something to eat " I'm glad we got out of that bar." Erin said leaning in her stool that she was sitting in, sipping on her bear, as she looked at Soifon who had a cup of Dr. Pepper in her hands

Soifon couldn't help but to laugh at the brunette" We'll have to be back there tomorrow." She reminded, causing Erin to let out a groan as she took another drink of her bear " Don't remind me, woman." The brunette playfully nudged her friend with her elbow.

Silence filled the air between the two women only thing that can be heard was the soft music playing from the speakers. Erin was figuring out how to talk to Soifon about where she was at.

Erin let out a sigh before she broke the silence" Soifon." She began looking at the raven-haired woman who looked up from her plate" Yes?" The brunette placed her hand on the table as she leaned toward her friend" I want to know what happened to you?" She asked biting the inside of her cheek.

The raven-haired woman looked at her, her blue eyes narrowing " What do you mean by that? Nothing happened." Soifon leaned in her seat setting her fork down on the table and crossed her arms over her chest.

Erin blinked at the other woman who was giving her a look that made her not want to continue their conversation, the brunette swallowed before she spoke she can see the distrust in her friend's blue eyes.

" Erin, tell me what you mean!" Soifon demanded not liking the silence she was getting from the brunette.

" You know what I mean, Soifon." Erin began as her green eyes stared into Soifon blue ones" I want to know what happened to you the past few years that I have seen you. I want to know what happened to my friend, I mean you haven't even called me ever since we last spoken after we graduated." Erin rested her hand on top of her friend's hand who gave her a look.

Soifon looked into Erin's green eyes before looking away from them not liking the fact her friend was asking her too many questions, she thought she wanted to catch up and not ask her a whole bunch of questions to what happened after the two of them fell apart.

" Soifon I only want to know, because I'm curious." Erin sighed as she removed her hand from the other woman who was giving her a look of distrust which made her heart lerch. She wanted Soifon to trust her maybe asking her about where she has been and what happened to her wasn't the right move.

Shaking her head before she got up from the stool" What about you? You never called me either. So don't ask me things that you need to ask yourself." Slipping her jacket over her shoulders Soifon placed a few bills on the table to pay for her half" And nothing happened why I was away." She replied her tone cracking, pushing the stool in she looked at the brunette" I'll see you at work tomorrow." And with that the raven-haired woman squeezed through the crowd that started to form.

Erin's P.O.V*

Watching Soifon walk out of Molly's with a frown on her face, letting out a breath once the younger woman was out of the restaurant " Why the hell did I flat out ask her that?!" She scolded herself, she knew she should have asked her carefully and not rush her friend.

Erin was too busy scolding herself to hear someone speaking beside til a hand rested on her shoulder" Something wrong Erin?" Turning her head to see Voight standing beside her his dark eyes looked at her with a worried expression on his face" Not really, its just that I asked Soifon what happened to her after high school, but she walked out a few minutes before you got here." She explained with a sigh.

Pulling a stool out for himself Voight sat down beside her " Can I get a beer, please?" He asked the bartender who nodded, Erin watched her foster father lean toward her" Is that why I saw Soifon walking out of Molly's and into a cab?" He asked calmly he nodded once he got he beer.

Lowering her green eyes so she didn't have to meet his gaze" Yes, I know I should have asked her in a better way or take it slow." She admitted ordering another bottle for herself,

" Maybe you should have waited a bit more of asking her about where she has been, you know Soifon isn't the one to open up especially with her problems. Just like you." Voight replied calmly resting his hand on the brunette's shoulder.

Erin listened to Voight's words and nodded she knew he was right so tomorrow she'll apologize to Soifon when she sees her at work. She looked at Voight she might as well tell him how it went at the bar.

" Anyway, Soifon and I got information on Becca from the footage at the bar, and we are close." Erin begin and started to explain that Becca does go to the bar on Fridays at five pm" That's good, Jay and the others found something as well." Voight said as he finished his beer.

" Anyway, let's finish the case tomorrow." Voight replied getting up from his seat and pushed it in, patting Erin on the shoulder" Don't stay here to late, I'll see you in the morning." Erin nodded as she watched him walk out of the bar.

Letting out a sigh Erin watched Voight leave the restaurant she knew he was right, she finished half of her beer and stood up" Have a good night." Nodding to the owner of the place before walking out in the cold air after pushing her chair in.

Once Erin made it to her car she got in and buckled up, and turned the heat on to warm her hands up. Once she was comfortable inside the car she pulled out her phone to check the time and see if she had any messages which there were none. Setting her phone on the passenger seat after scrolling through her contacts and her finger lingered over Soifon's number for a few seconds. She pulled out of the parking spot and drove home.

Soifon's P.O.V*

Closing the door to her apartment once she was inside she set her keys on the hook that was beside the door, kicking her shoes off at the door, Soifon walked towards the bathroom her mind wondered to the talk Erin and her had earlier but she shook it off she knew she shouldn't have lashed out on her friend, but Erin had no right by asking her alot of questions especially when they only seen each other for over eight hours.

Shaking her head she'll think about that later right now she needed a shower and go to bed for work tomorrow. Before she even took a step to her bathroom a hand came from behind her and covered her mouth when she tried to make a sound.

Struggling against the intruder's arms but he held on tighter his hand squeezing her mouth and nose" Make a noise woman and you will regret it." Her eyes widen fear started to creep up her spine.
