Epilogue
Note: And here is the epilogue for everything changes, after this my story is truly over. It's just a quick and dirty addition to make my fanfic feel complete. It will be in Sweeney's POV, though we will get Nellie's too. So here we go, the end of the story. I appreciate everyone who read this, as well as my reviewer.
(Sweeney's POV.) About two years ago me and Lucy left London. We had sent a letter to Anthony and Johanna to learn they had settled down in France, though they would often sail. We had also found out that Johanna was showing signs of pregnancy after they had wedded. They had told us that they were residing in Paris. We packed and sailed to France about two months later.
It was a miracle I managed to hide from Lucy that I had killed people. As much as I hated people I realized I can no longer kill, as I could lose my Lucy forever. Anthony and Johanna welcomed us with open arms when we arrived. They had made sure they had a home for a whole family just in case. After a while I established myself as a barber again, with Johanna and Lucy being seamstresses. Eventually Johanna gave birth to a healthy girl Lucy Marilyn Hope.
Anthony realized he had to retire from sailing to be here for his daughter. I agreed that Lucy II needed her father. I knew I would give my life to protect this family. I prayed that history would not repeat itself. Anthony seemed as naive and foolish as Benjamin Barker was and I feared it. But Lucy helped keep my imagination from running away from me.
Now Lucy II was two years old, and our family was becoming quite successful with our work. "What are you thinking about?" Lucy asked me. She and I were in our living room. "Just how much time has passed my dear." "Life is going well for now isn't it Sweeney?" "My family is safe and secure again, I could not have anymore then I have now."
"I'm glad you are so happy then my dear." I turned my head and smiled at Lucy. She then proceeded to lay her head on my shoulder. I still had cynical thoughts, and still understood how awful the world could be, but I was now satisfied with what I had. Anthony and Johanna were with us and happy, me and Lucy were whole again. My blood lust had cooled, as I was no longer the demon barber of Fleet Street.
(Nellie's POV.) Two years had passed since I fought and failed to kill the barber. But to be honest I outgrew my desire for vengeance on him. I would always miss my childs namesake and would always hate the barber. But my emporium was now more successful than ever. Me and Toby had returned to my old place.
Sweeney was now happy with his Lucy and he would never return, so he was no longer a concern to me. Toby was quite a happy lad too, and he wanted to help me with the emporium someday. "I love you mummy," he said, hugging my waist. "I love you too, my son," I said, hugging him back. I had an amazing business and a loving son I would die for. I was never happier with my life.
(Sweeney's POV.) It was late and Johanna, Anthony, and Lucy II were sound asleep. Me and Lucy were getting ready for bed. "It's good to be a family again," Lucy told me. "I agree my love, everything has changed, and it was worth it."
Note: And that was Everything Changes. I hope it was better than Sweeney vs Nellie. I will take a break from fanfic making for a while, but I shall return. Though I am going to take a break for the rest of the year because of how much time it took to make this. Until next time readers.
