Disclaimer: I own nothing Nintendo and J.K Rowling own the characters involved. but in regards to Link and Midna's children those characters are actually my first attempt at creating original characters since Link and Midna canonically never got together.
Beginning AN: here it is another chapter and with it kicks the Year 1 events of the Harry Potter saga into high gear.
Chapter 15: Harry Potter Year 1 part 2
After the train ride, Midna and Hermione were friends, and hoped that they could be in a house together.
Though Midna did give her a warning that was strange to her.
"There will be quite a bit of fuss, about me when my name is called." Midna told her. "My history is alot different then most, and I was not always a girl."
Hermione had suspicions as to what her original name was, but decided it did not matter Midna was her friend.
"Looks like potter didn't show up." A blond boy said. "Probably too chicken, either that or it took all his magic to survive that night and now he is a squib."
That got him into an argument with a red head who had tried to find harry and failed, in a way that made Hermione and Midna believe he is a gold digger. But soon enough the sorting began, with Hermione being sorted into Ravenclaw. The names kept coming until...
"Princess Midna Potter of the Twilight Realm." Mcgonagall said as everyone's eyes went wide at that, before bedlam ensued.
"Quiet!" Midna shouted lacing her voice with magic to cause everyone to listen. "I know you have questions so I will simply say simply say that surviving the killing curse turned me into a female. And I was then sent to the Twilight Realm where I was adopted by the king and queen."
Afterwards she was sorted into Ravenclaw as the sorting continued. At the end of the sorting and the feast Dumbledore stood up.
"Yes before you go to bed I have some announcements." Dumbledore said. "First as a Princess Midna is entitled to bodyguards, in this case King Bulbin and the Bulbins that serve him have agreed to act as security for the school to fulfill that role."
With that King Bulbin was introduced much to the others students shock.
"Why are you following Potter?" Draco Malfoy asked. "And not a pure blood like me."
"I follow the strongest but there's a catch to gaining my loyalty you have to best me in a sword fight more than three times to even remotely have a chance at gaining my loyalty. Midna and her traveling companion at the time earned my loyalty because they had beat me three times and that was enough to earn my loyalty and respect." King Bulbin said before glaring at him. "Do you think you can best me in a sword fight?"
Seeing how much bigger then him King Bulbin was Draco blushed and said no.
Afterwards the announcements continued until the students went to bed. A female Bulbin named Artemis sharing the dorm with Midna and the other first year Ravenclaws girls, including Hermione to act as a personal bodyguard. Luckily that meeting went well, since royalty do have personal bodyguards. And being the same gender makes things much easier.
The next day was the first day of classes which involved Charms class where Professor Flitwick talked about the various charms and asked Midna to demonstrate some of the charms from the Twilight realm like the glow orb charm used to make a softly glowing orb that floats in the sky and follows you, useful to see in the Twilight without having to hold the spell in your hand or a wand.
The second class was Transfiguration, where Midna and Mcgonagall demonstrated their animagus forms and Midna's hair transformation spell that turns her hair into a prehensile hand, useful if you need an extra hand. The final class was potions, though luckily Midna had plenty of time to read the books, and was able to answer Professor Snape's questions.
The downside of downside of the day was surprisingly not Draco Malfoy glaring at them for not revealing Midna was Potter and thus letting him make a fool of himself, but Ron Weasley trying to force his way into Midna's friend group while pushing Hermione out with neither of the two happening. Luckily Midna was a good judge of character and a great friend to those that gained her friendship, and was able to make sure Hermione could stay in the group even going as far as to say that the students should let the actions Hermione takes speak for her rather than any preconceived notions that she has no value due to being a muggleborn.
Ending AN: that's the chapter so read and review. flame reviews will be ignored. things are heating up.
Next Time: there's going to be a small time skip to a week before Halloween where Midna helps Hermione get over her fear of heights and then Halloween happens and Hermione learns that Midna is far older than she lets on and after defeating the troll Midna offers Hermione a blood adoption as her and Link's daughter. but the adoption will be a post Year 1 interlude event.
